Kelath could sense the anger and irritation rolling off his queen Izanycorth and Hers while they were close to Braymoth. His eyes narrowed and he bumped His with his tail.
D'rian mine. Go offer to help brother braymoth's. I wish to be closer to Izanycorth sister and Hers. Something bothers them.
With a glance at the set of Kelath's shoulders, he shrugged. "Very well Kelath. If you insist."
I do, mine. As a king it is my duty and responsibility to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of my queen and Hers. Izanycorth sister is far too sad for a new queen...
Worry tinged the bronzes thoughts as he slipped them into His' mind. D'rian shrugged and nodded. He was one of the only ones who didnt fear the Garnet. The dragon was aggressive. It wasn't a crime. However, Kelath was a bronze. And his queen was close to what seemed (by all standards) to be a loose cannon. He would not stand for it and darn kelath's protective instincts, he was feeling them too.
He and Kelath stepped lightly over to the girls, D'rian offering them a kind smile as Kelath moved toward his queen, crooning a greeting for her and his smaller red brother.
"You guys okay?"

Kayath rumbled again, though this time J’dol had to look up at the six month old Topaz in confusion. Was she… amused? Of course I am amused, J’dolMine. Look at how the little one bows down before the will of her boy. There is not an ounce of fight in her. A shame to the Topaz name. Kayath shook her head as if Chahaturth’s quieter behaviour was a bad thing. J’dol chuckled. Look at the positive attention she is getting for it though, he commented dryly, Now everyone just thinks you’re full of hot air! Kayath hissed, but actually quieted for the time being, though she fixed a swirling gaze, tinted with red, on the bright form of Chahaturth on the sands below. Yeah well… I’m bigger than her… J’dol sighed, not entirely sure what Kayath meant, but if it made her happy and quiet then he would go with it.
Braymoth twisted his head around at the sound of a bugle and was surprised to see it had come from his orange coloured sister; the little queen-wannabe. What a strong bugle you have there, sisterMine. Such a lovely voice. He snaked his head back to Yufa as he felt annoyance coming from his human. What was she mad about? Oh.. He understood, she was mad that he was mean to her and kind to everyone else? How silly. Didn’t she know he was showering his kindness on her? He supposed he could whisper sickly sweet words to His as well, but he didn’t want to waste the words. He turned his head around in time to see the young queen approaching with her chosen one.
“Thank you… my Lady…” Yufa spoke quietly, with a bow of her head, as Iirla took the bandages, welcoming the help and honoured that the new queen rider would deign to assist her. What she wasn’t expecting, was to see the young woman turn around and face Braymoth head on. Even the garnet looked a little taken aback. He took a step towards the woman, His tongue peeking out over the row of sharp teeth in his open maw as a light hiss - amused more than vicious - escaped his throat. He stretched his neck out, moving to place his head at eye level to hers as a trail of blood - herdbeast most likely - trickled off his lips. He did not attack however, simply examined the woman in front of him until Izanycorth moved to stand between them. He pulled his head away and moved to nuzzle against the beautiful, strange, golden hide of his sister, speaking to both Izanycorth and her rider. How fierce, to stand up to me. He practically purred to the two, You have chosen well, my darling sister. He pulled his head away then.
“Thank you,” Yufa tried to smile at the compliment, though she was having a hard time. “You are so lucky… to have such a radiant beauty by your side.” She complimented Izanycorth, remembering her outburst on the sands. I have not yet, they seem to cower in fear at the very thought of me. What a shame really… we could be such good friends. Though the voice seemed light and friendly, Yufa couldn’t help but distrust the garnet, though whether it was something in the tone of his voice, or in the reputation garnets had, she didn’t know. Shaking the thought away for now, Yufa noticed the golden hide hadn’t yet been completely cleaned. “If I may, My Ladies, offer you some assistance of my own?” She held up the rag, motioning that she would help clean if they wanted. She even thought she could feel approval from the red dragon, though it was hard to tell. Moments later they were approached by another weyrling, this time the new bronze pair. Yufa quickly bowed her head before him as well.
“Thank you for your worry, Sir.” The hold girl probably hadn’t even noticed she had fallen back into titles of respect with her classmates. To her, the gold and bronze weyrlings were as worthy of titles as their full grown counterparts. Braymoth swished his tail as Kelath moved beside his queen. Ah the new king, come to rescue the pretty damsel. How noble of my liege, how thoughtful. His pink tail swished back and forth behind him as he regarded the bronze. Well.. A bronze would make a better ally than an enemy, but he would deal with either option if the time came. Don’t worry your little head off Kelath. I would never lay a claw on such a precious gift.

She even thought she could feel approval from the red dragon, though it was hard to tell. Moments later they were approached by another weyrling, this time the new bronze pair. Yufa quickly bowed her head before him as well.
D'rian grinned his white, handsome grin raking a hand through his honeyed bronze hair. "There's no need to call me sir you know. I'm a new Weyrling just the same as you are. It'll be a long time before I let anyone adress me as anything more than just D'rian."
Kelath rolled his eyes at this.
D'rian mine, you should not be so informal. You're going to be a leader someday you know. It is why I chose you.
You just hatched and already ordering me around Kelath? Shush and talk to your brother and sister for a minute, let the humans have their conversation. he sent the thought with a playful nudge and Kelath rumbled at him, but did as he asked. He would train His. He would make him into a Weyrleader... oh yes. A fine one indeed.
Kelath turned his attention back to his brother and sister. The garnet had no respect. None whatsoever and he would not resort to violence with this subking. He was above such pettiness.
He drew himself to his full height, and while it was only about 6 inches, it was enough to prove his point. The sun gleamed on his newly cleaned and oiled metallic sheened hyde, marking him for the king he was.
Between the two of us, Brother Braymoth, I think you'll find that your head is the one that's small. Anyway. Our sister may be a bit unusually colored, in the most Beautiful of ways, but I very much doubt you could lay a claw on her even if it were your fondest wish. Izanycorth sister, is every inch a queen to surpass even mother.
He nudged her lightly, affectionately and respectfully. Even if she did not have me around to see that she was not bothered in the slightest by anything wishing to harm her, She does not need my protection.

The queen did not respond, crooning slightly and gently nuzzling against Iirla. She knew she had chosen well. It was something she was certain of. She crooned softly, looking up at hers when Yufa offered. Iirla smiled. "I would appreciate the help, Yufa."
Iz shook her head slightly. Well, BrotherMine... They are probably put off by the reputation of your color. Much as many seem put off by the odd-ness of my hide. Her tail flicked again as she felt some of that roiling anger once more.
Izanycorth turned her attention to the approach bronze then, crooning softly and extending her muzzle towards him, feeling some excitement at the sight of the bronze, which did not seem to sit overly well with Iirla for the moment for some reason that Izanycorth didn't understand. He was a bronze and he was paying attention to her. He had when they were still on the sands. Even if she hadn't needed him and still didn't. Hello KelathBrotherMine. She crooned softly.
Ama chirped at Yufa's blue, her purple head raised high, her wings flared slightly. "Ama." Iirla's tone was warning and the flitter settled herself quickly, ducking her head. The defiant flitter seemed more complacent. As if she thought that Iirla was going to replace her with Iz. Iirla smiled in a friendly manner to D'rian. "It is nice to meet you, D'rian. I am Iirla and, of course, this is Izanycorth." She looked at Ama. "And tihs little thing is Ama."
Ama chirrupped at him, her eyes whirling as she stuck her head out boldly at him. She sent feelings of dissaproval at him and images of him touching Iirla at him with more dissaproval. She had decided she did not approve of him yet. She set images of Iirla being hers and, begrudgingly, Iz's.

Yufa smiled, honoured at the privilege of cleaning a gold. She stepped closer to the pair, keeping a wary eye on Braymoth as she went, hoping the garnet wouldn’t attack her or the others for what she was doing. The red dragon, however, was beyond pleased. If His and Izaycorth’s became friends he would be that much closer to having the gold on his side. Before reaching out to the gold, Yufa curtsied deeply. “Thank you for the honour, dear queen.” She reached out tentatively despite having been given permission, she didn’t want to accidentally offend Izanycorth after all. Braymoth made a sound that could have only been the draconic version of a snigger at Iz‘s words. What you call odd, I call beauty, my darling. For no other could hope of pulling off such splendour.” He was glad for the interruption of the bronze, as, to be honest, he was tiring of paying complements to Iz, even though he wanted her friendship. There were only so many kind things one could say before it got old.
The young hold girl blushed at the bronze weyrling, dropping her head in an attempt to hide her uncertainty, but nodded, not entirely sure how comfortable she was with the idea of being on a name basis with someone who, despite being a weyrling himself, was still higher ranked in the girl’s mind. Braymoth, meanwhile, was completely under whelmed with the bronze’s attempting at appearing large and intimidating. The was what… half a foot difference in their size? Ooooh… scary. The garnet merely snorted in response, but gave a mental smirk as the bronze retorted. I am honoured that a dragon as wise and mighty as yourself would offer a lowly sub-king such a wonderful compliment. Braymoth replied lazily, A bigger head for a bigger brain after all. To the rest he didn’t bother commenting. He had already stated his disinterest in harming her. Kelath, on the other hand, was begging to be shredded by his claws. Not now though.. No… he needed to play the friendly, misunderstood being if he was to get what he wanted. The bronze would have to wait…

Kelath met her extended greeting with his own, rubbing his muzzle against hers lightly. Letting one blue green eye size up Hers. He picked out a few thoughts from His's mind and decided he might agree with him, slightly anyway. Izanycorth,Sistermine. Yours is quite the beautiful human... He sent mild amusement along his link to her. For the humans anyway... A perfect match for our queen... Mine.... well we shall see how long it will take to make him the king he should be. the last bit was full of little amused jabs and pokes at His D'rian, who rolled his eyes and bumped the bronze with his hip. Don't make me make you say goodbye you little... I'm only joking D'rian mine. Though we will need to work on you a bit. riiight. Sure, whatever you say.
Letting his attention drift back to the human part of the conversation, D'rian smiled extending his hand to Iirla. Her little flit was surely something. She REALLY was protective of her. He grinned keeping his hand extended, sending a thought to the little flit. I'm not touching her Ama, Your's is very much capable of turning down the common courtesy. But I dont have any ideas about her. Dont worry your pretty little wings.
"Very nice to meet both of you. I'm D'rian and this guy here's Kelath. I'd have Shigure around too, but he was a tad bit annoyed at my impressing so he's more than likely moping around the weyrbowl on a rock...She sure is pretty." He added with a sideglance at Kelath's golden sister. He didnt let his eyes rest on Yufa again, trying to allow her time to compose herself, but after a moment, he felt a surge of deep seated aggression in his partner, hearing the echo of the Garnet's comment. His own eyes narrowed in response, but he calmed himself and rested a hand on his bronze's neck.
Not only did Kelath feel the malice behind his words, but so did His. Sending a soothing hum along their link as He sat a hand against his bronze's neck. We're too good to rise to the little red's challenge so soon after hatching Kelath. Don't let him get to you. Garnets are a malicious little bunch...Bronzes should be above such petty things.
With a mental smirk at how easy his brother was to rise to his taunt, and a hint of laughter at how weak his return was, he gave a short shrug.
"Unless you intend to deliver on that urge of yours and prove everyone right about your color, I'd suggest being a bit more careful. How easy it is to rile you."
The amusement rocked through his entire being. It would be fun to play with this one. He judged his red brother as manipulative and calculating. He would definitely prove interesting...

D'tri shook his head and sighed. At least his dragon had calmed down quite conciderably, seeing as she was ready to tear someone apart. D'triMine, we should go see my brothers. Chahaturth was currently staring at her sister with a very fast swirling, red gaze. D'tri sighed and hung his head, but he knew it was pointless trying to argue with the topaz female. Alright Chaha, but don't even think of fighting. His voice was stern, but full of love for his dragon.
D'tri stood tall and proud as they made their way over to where the garnet, bronze, and gold pairs were all gathered. Chahaturth crooned sweetly to her two brothers, and completely ignored her sister. Her's had said no fighting, so she would just pretend the gold wasn't there at all. I'm D'tri, and this is Chahaturth. He dipped his head to the others as he spoke. Then he turned his attention to the gold pair. I'm sorry about Chahaturth's attitude towards your dragon, but no hard feelings? He knew the topaz and gold didn't get a long, but there was no reason their riders couldn't.

Yufa was grateful for the chance to regain her composure, using the oportunity to take a deep breath before making sure her rather neutral smile returned to her face. It didn't last long, however, before Braymoth had said something that seemed to not sit well with the bronze. She was afraid they would fight, afraid more blood would be shed on the sands... in front of the little queen no less, but a reassuing feeling from Braymoth let her know that despite how much he wanted to tear into bronze flesh, he wouldn't be the one to make the first move. No, he wanted the bronze to attack him, to lose face in front of Izanycorth. The way things were going however, it didn't look like Kelath would be attacking, and for that, Yufa was glad.
Braymoth mentally grinning, sending out a very obvious feeling of amusement. We have a perfect future king here, The malice was quite evident in his voice, even if there were heavy undertones of amusement. I would have thought a bronze like you would be too wise to believe in stereotypes. It appears I was a fool to put such faith in you. A pity really.
Yufa was thankful that the new Topaz pair arrived then, hoping it would distract the two males from their mental fight. She curtsied to D'tri and Chahaturth, though she said nothing. It was improper for her to speak before the future king and queen beside her.

Hmm... Braymoth was a charmer. She felt yet another sly satisfaction at that. He was good at giving compliments. Though.... that edge of something was there. She could ignore it for now. He would probably be even nicer to their sister. The thought made her eyes turn red for a second. Oh. That creature. Thank you BrotherMine. Her tone was nearly a purr as she spoke.
As she and Kelath greeted each other, she felt a sense of pride and satisfaction as well as a certain... something else. Her eyes swirled with green and blue. She had already taken quite a liking to him. Thank you, Kelath, BrotherMine. Her eyes swirled faster at that. Yours is very handsome human. Very fitting for you... Though I suppose you may have to train him... She rumbled, laughing lightly in a draconic fashion.
Iirla extended her hand and took D'rian's, shaking it, her smile friendly. She had to admit. He was very handsome and, if one's good looks could kill, she was pretty sure his could.
Izanycorth wasn't liking how Kelath and Braymoth were interacting. She wanted the attention of at least Kelath. After all. He was a bronze. She gently nudged them. Come you two... she shook her head with a snort. They didn't need to do this now.
And then... Izanycorth hissed when she saw the topaz coming. That ridiculous creature! So beautiful. She would steal the attention of Braymoth and her Bronze brother! She turned towards her, having half a mind to attempt to use the authority that gold's had over all other dragons... But she was still young as of yet... and Hers restrained her. Love... Ignore her. Iirla frowned at her little queen who did not seem about to take the advice. Perhaps she herself would get into a fight. She lifted her head higher, holding her wings gracefully, her tail wrapping around her paws.
Iirla smiled. "No hard feelings, D'tri. I don't think we need to feud just because our dragons do. I am Iirla, this is Izanycorth," she motioned towards her gold who's eyes swirled quick shades of red, "and this, is Ama." Ama chirruped and sent D'tri much the same thing she had sent D'rian. Iirla was hers. She reached up and tapped the Ametrine's muzzle.
