Iirla paced, her eyes narrow. Inali was gone. She felt uneasy. Very uneasy. She was on edge and keeping calm was a bit of a problem. And it was not at all helping Izanycorth stay calm. She was worse than ever, snapping, angry, becoming upset over little things. She was jealous constantly. Of course, it wasn't right. Her blue Trivol and her Ametrine Ama were fighting... again... And Izanycorth was watching with mild disinterest... Iirla sighed and shook her head. "Stop!" she forced her will on them and watched as first Ama stopped and her self-centered little blue just seemed to puff up with indignance. She wanted him to stop?! Hmph! Not fair! Izanycorth looked at them and she could tell by the almost instant change in their demeanor that the gold had decided to take control of the situation. She shook her head and lay it back on her paws. The sun felt nice. she couldn't wait until she could choose to sun on the heights. It would be pleasant, enjoyable. Iirla shook her head. She was getting a headache. She stood, her muscles rigid as she was attempting to think. She wasn't a real leader yet. She wasn't a real leader for Trelis, though right now, she felt like the Holders needed one and so did Trelis. They needed more than that. They needed their spirits lifted. What could she do? She felt stuck between a rock and a hard place. But that had never stopped her before. Not really. It couldn't stop her now, could it? She looked at Iz. The young Queen needed her to guide her right now. Iz gave a soft humph of annoyance. I will be fine. There is nothing wrong with me. They just seem to think so.She gave a huff. Of course there was nothing wrong with her. They all just thought so. They all would learn, though. They all would. The day she flew would be the greatest. And she always had Thormyth's claws to fall back on. Now Braymoth had a vindictive mind... "Stop that Iz!" Iirla looked at her with a frown. Her little Queen had been showing her devious streak more and more ever since she had started to spend time with Thormyth and Braymoth... Ever since seeming to be friends with them. Though Iirla couldn't say she much like Braymoth... She especially was not fond of how he treated Yufa... The Garnets were so... different. "Izanycorth..." She shook her head. Her dragoness... She would have been just as happy if Izanycorht was a Green or one of the Amethysts as she was with her as a gold, not that she would change her... ((Open for up to three peoples! They're off to the side in the Weyrbowl! ))

D'rian all but growled at Kelath as the bronze nudged him hard in the back. Pushing him closer and almost out of the entrance to the weyrbowl "I know Kelath. I know!"
They'd noticed of late, Iirla and Izanycorth had been seeming more and more stressed and irritable. Since the destruction of Sollace, the queens had been gone, with many many more of the adult riders. He knew the pressure that was on them to become the strong bronze pair the weyr needed. He could only immagine Iirla's stress levels now. Especially with the young queen seeming to gravitate more towards the devious garnet dragonets. As a bronze rider it was going to be his duty to make sure the queens were okay. a fact which kelath constantly reminded him of, so he'd kept a watchful eye for a while from a distance. He knew Iirla didnt trust him, and he was fine with that. He'd tried to keep his distance to let her come to him for support, but at this point, Kelath was having no more of it. He wanted to comfort his queen and help them and he didnt understand why His was being so stubborn about approaching Hers.
The bronze was silent as he walked behind him, Shigure settled on Kelath's back, he having grown quite attatched to the larger bronze. He now was more often found curled up with kelath than he was with D'rian. They walked out into the sunshine and it took only a moment to find the gold pair. Tucked off to the side of the weyrbowl the young queen was sunning herself and bless her riders heart, she looked more anxious than ever. Un-bidden feelings of sympathy and a need to help budded within D'rian and he cast a quick look back up at the bronze face above him.
"That was not me, mine. That was you. You are more a king than you think you are. Believe more in yourself."
"It's not that I don't believe in myself... It's that this is all so new to me Kelath. I'm supposed to be responsible and care about everyone. It's just been me and shigure for so long, now you're as much a part of me as I am, and you're great. Everyone else too? It's all so much."
He kept his voice low as they made their way over to the gold pair, only meant for kelath. The bronze dipped his head lower gently nuzzling His reassuringly I felt your need to help her just like you did mine. It comes more natural than you would think, and you have it in you. You're just out of practice. D'rian knew he was right, and gave in with a sigh as they reached Iirla and Izanycorth. "Hey Iirla. My Queen Izanycorth..." He inclined his head, the sign of respect expected when addressing a gold.
"We wondered if you two wouldn't mind some company." His friendly smile had it's usual attractive lean, but it was warmer this time, seeming more genuine and caring than usual for him. Kelath crooned in greeting to Iz and Hers.

It was pure coincidence that J’dol and Kayath happened to be flying over the Weyrbowl at that time. The large orange dragoness pleased to be able to fly again peacefully with Hers; he had been so busy helping out with finding room in the barracks for the newcomers that he hadn’t spent much time with her as of late, except for her daily oiling of course. She could tell without even listening in on his thoughts that he was mentally exhausted. It’s been busy.. It’s nice to finally have a break. He replied as she spread her wings for a good glide. I can only imagine how the other queens are doing.. Especially the new gold rider.
J’dol could remember how stressful things had been early on, trying to deal with regular lessons, extra sub queen lessons, and oiling the massive beasts, and he was only a sub-rider. The new gold pair likely had a lot more on their plates then he did, even if they weren’t technically in charge of anything yet. LookMine, the cute bronze is down there. She suddenly broke through his thoughts, giving him almost no warning before twisting into a path that would take her down near the pair. Gold Izanycorth is down there too Love. He warned, not knowing yet how the topaz would act in the gold’s presence. It would be the first time they officially met, after all. Or at least it would if her rider and D’rian didn’t mind them popping in to say hi. He hoped they wouldn’t; it had been a while since he had last seen the bronze rider. I have nothing against the midget queen. Kayath responded with a snort, She doesn’t think she is better, so she is not. Kayath landed nearby and J’dol waved from his spot on her neck.
“Room for one more?” He called as Kayath dipped her head to the two dragons. Kelath, Little Queen. You both look shiny and well.

So her brother and his were coming to see her and Hers. That was good of them. Maybe Hers would trust them more. Hello KelathBrotherMine. You and yours are looking well today. With that she turned her gaze back to the skies. "Hello D'rian. How are you fairing today?" Iirla looked at him though she did not smile. At the moment, all she was thinking was that he was here to add more stress to her already stressful day. But... Yes. She smiled. "Eventful, huh?" That was all she said, her hands clasped in front of her in a rather relaxed pose as she attempted to keep herself entirely calm as she waited for his reply. Ama gave a little chitter and shifted her wings as Trivol decided he wanted more attention and climbed down to Iirla's hand, poking and prodding at it until she frowned, though small smile escaped her and she started to pet the little blue.
And then there was another arrival. J'dol and Topaz Kayath. She could feel the jealousy well up in her dragoness, though the gold looked at the approaching Topaz. She was bigger than her. She was as big as most golds it seemed. She snorted. I am young Kayath, but not little, or at least I won't be forever. And thank you. You look shiny and well yourself. Much more so than that annoying thing that claims to be my sister. Of course. Iirla new how much Iz hated Chahaturth. And, of course, Chahaturth likely thought herself. She curled her tail around herself and sat up straight, looking at the Topaz sub-queen who approached. This one she could possibly like... unlike the other one from her own clutch. She dipped her head respectfully as well, though she didn't know that she she should.
"Sure! If D'rian doesn't mind." Iirla smiled, but in teh back of her mind, she was thinking about what a setup for disaster this could possibly be. She was keeping tabs on her bonded, without question. She became so jealous so easily and became angry and upset just as easily. Especially when she felt insulted or if others did not see her as the gold she was. She was gold. She didn't care to be. But she was. That was why she was trying to build allies of another kind. Garnets, Bronzes even... though the more aggressive males seemed to attract more of the gold's attention currently...

D'rian settled into an easy stance closer to Iirla and nodded. "Eventful... yeah that's the word that i would use for it...Iirla, are you okay? I mean, you know we're here for you any time you need anything. Don't you?" She didn't trust him, he was infinitely aware of that. But over the last few months, he found himself close to her a LOT thanks to Kelath's desire to be close to his little queen. The more time he spent around her, the more protective of her he found himself, much to his intense dismay, but Kelath was right. This was what was supposed to happen. His smile came back, soft and not as sure as he watched the little blue. "Demanding little thing isn't he?
Kelath nuzzled the young queen gently. "IzanycorthQueenandSisterMine, we are well thank you. As usual you shine with the light of the sun itself, and yours is lovely as always. Is all well with you?" His voice held respect and an uncanny tenderness for the bronze dragonet. He was worried about the pair. Much more than he usually let show, but with only her and hers here to witness it, he felt a bit more at ease. He settled on the warm stone studying the group, tensing up with a mental 'well drat' to His as Topaz Kayath and Her J'dol landed to join them. He was tense not knowing how the queen and subqueen would interact, but all his tension seeped out of him with a deep rumble of laughter at Izanycorth's words. Without knowing it, his sister had more than likely just sealed the conversation into one of amicable dislike of his topaz sister thus ensuring much of the female's agreement and hopefully saving him from having to choose one or the other. "Many thanks. You look well Kayath. Shiny and lovely as always." He went silent after that, knowing it was best, when two females were involved, to not offer unnecessary conversation. That upped the risk he'd say something to offend one or both queens.
"Of course I don't mind." D'rian's smile was warm for the Topaz rider, and he held out a hand to shake J'dol's. "It's been a while." And it had. With everything that J'dol had been having to do, and everything that had been shoved at him since the storm, It had been nearly impossible to even say hello to most of his friends. Coming out here may have started being Kelath's idea, and he may not have liked it at the beginning, but it was turning out to be a relatively nice idea.

Kayath snorted as Izanycorth spoke back. You are small now, Little Queen. She replied, I meant no offense, Izanycorth. She was attempting to be polite only because of the quiet comments from her rider, though she made no move to remind Izanycorth that she outranked the topaz and this didn't need to dip her head. However, she was inwardly pleased that she had been shown the respect she believed she deserved. Then the topic of topazes came up. If only Kelath knew how right he was about the younger topaz being a common enemy! Kayath flopped on the ground rather uncerimoniously at the comment of Chahaturth. Oh I know! That little wench thinks she's all that and a bucket of wherry meat! I don't know how you put up with her. Hmph! She added another huff. That silly topaz-wannabe! She glanced at Kelath. My thanks, lovely. She was still a little annoyed at the bronze for his close call many months ago, though she only remembered it at all because J'dol did. However, she still liked Kelath, and his quick complements were always good in her books.
J'dol gave Iirla a return smile, though he too shared at least some of the worry about the two queens being together. Kayath was usually pretty good at avoiding trouble if he repeatedly reminded her about behaving, and as far as he was aware she had no dislike towards golds. He then turned his smile on the bronze rider, taking D'rian's hand in a friendly shake. "It's been too long," He replied, giving a light tug, hinting that he would happily take a hug if the bronzerider so desired. He had been busy, too busy, and he had to admit that spending some time with a beautiful young goldrider, and the sexy bronzerider, was definately a good way to unwind.
"How have lessons been going?" He asked, genuinely interested, and figuring it would be a good way to start things off.

Thank you, BrotherMine. I am merely tired, but all is as well as should be expected in times as these. She shifted slightly, extending her neck to nuzzle her bronze brother. Mine, however, is far more tired and worried than I.
She turned her golden head towards her rider and nudged her gently, upsetting the blue who chittered at her. She snorted and nipped at him, sending him into a further tizzy. Enough. That was all it took and he had to stop, landing on the ground looking up at the gold indignantly, but forced by the power of a gold and a dragon to stop. She nudged her rider again, Iirla scratched her eyeridges briefly before the queen pulled her head away so that hers could focus on the conversation at hand.
Unlike she had typically done to this point, moving further away from D'rian when he moved closer, Iirla stood still... and even gave him a small smile. SHe was coming to trust and appreciate him more and more. "I should know that... but I don't think I did til you said something. I'm... not as well as I could be." She gave him a rather warm smile. If anything... she supposed they could at least be friends... She was starting to trust him. "Yeah... He is incredibly demanding. Even more than Ama and that is saying something."
Iirla sat against Izanycorth's side and settled in for a conversation with the Topaz and Bronze Rider who had come to visit, likely for various reasons... thus far, though, it was a nice distraction from her worries. She patted Izanycorth's side in order to remind her to behave.
Izanycorth nodded her head, accepting this. At their conversation of Chahaturth, she snorted. She does! She thinks she is just perfect and wonderful and! Oh! I can't stand her! Putting up with her is almost IMPOSSIBLE! Izanycorth's tone was sickened and irritated. The stupid topaz.
Iirla seemed to think about it. "Well... Izanycorth and I have not made too many on time of late.. but that has more to do with our current situations than anything else at the moment." She shrugged and smiled, though there was something tired and almost sad behind it.

D'rian smiled over at his bronze pair. Shigure, as usual, looked impressive for about 5 minutes, then was back to being curled up on kelath's shoulders.
" I guess I lucked out as far as flits go. Shigure's usually like that right there. How he participates in mating flights i've really got no idea. The little.. heh. Well it's almost like he's saving up alllll his energy between flights. That's just about the only time I've ever seen him Really want something." The bronze flit flicked his wings and chittered at his for a moment before tucking his head back under his wing like a huntyre and dozed again. D'rian just shook his head in exasperation. He was a lazy little thing but he did love him.
D'rian was barely able to keep down his laughter when he felt the tug on his hand from the topaz rider. He guessed a hug wouldn't hurt he gave a more powerful tug of his own and pulled J'dol into a close hug. "It really has been too long. How've you and Kayath been doing?" Stepping back slightly he smiled at Iirla. "You and Izanycorth are a queen pair. With Iinali gone to the south part of the burden falls to you more so than for Kelath and myself, or even J'dol and Kayath here. The weyrling master knows and understands. Anyway, at least you dont miss the lessons entirely like some..." He smiled a bit sheepishly. " There right after the storm I completely missed the first one. An old friend was injured and his little sister... actually J'dol I think you're the one she said searched her!" His grin was genuine and warm. Thanks to J'dol Keegan was alive, and Alessandra, dear sweet little alessa was now a wher candidate.
"J'dol... Thank you and Kayath. I don't know what I would have done if Keegan had died..." Indeed, the only friends he'd been able to talk with much since the storms were Keegan and Alessa on the rare occasions Alessandra was able to get away from her lessons and come visit her brother. He couldn't help but marvel at the changes in himself. When he got here he really and truly cared for no one. Now he had friends he'd do just about anything to protect, and unbreakable bonds with quite a few of his fellow weyrlings.
Kelath had been silent for the most part, preferring to let the queens discuss their dislike of his topaz sister. His's internal battle was more interesting to him at the moment and he followed the human's conversation. He reached out and nuzzled his gently and reassuringly. They're changes for the better Mine. Not that you weren't perfect just as you were before, but I chose you for your ability to grow and mature, and for your independance. Don't forget that.

You must be the stronger of the two of us, Izanycorth. I would between if I had to spend that much time with her. The comment was accompanied by an annoyed hiss. She would never, ever, allow the little wench to become as amazing a topaz as she, Kayath, was.
J’dol chuckled as he was pulled into an outright hug. Well, there was no doubt in his mind why he was so fond of the bronzerider. If only Kelath was older… Well, that would come with time and J’dol figured that he could wait a little bit longer for some real fun. “She’s being a complete princess, as ever.” He replied, giving the topaz a loving leg rub as he pulled away from D’rian and settled on the ground to relax. “The candidatemaster’s got me helping him out most of the time now, organizing people and such. I think it’s my punishment for flirting or something.” He shrugged, not particularly caring since the work was pretty easy.
“You know you can delegate some work to me, or to Aela and Talath, the obsidian weyrling. We’ve had some lessons on stuff, not as much as you likely have but we know how to act proper and do records and the like.” He was a sub-rider after all. Some formal training, not as much as the queens got but it was sufficient to work as an assistant to many of a queen’s duties. Then suddenly D’rian was mentioning a name that sounded familiar. Keegan… Keegan… Oh! a quick memory of that moment flashed through his mind.
“That was your sister?! Small world isn’t it…” He trailed off with a small smile as he recalled her; she had been so strong in such a hard time. And he had gone and checked up on Keegan at the infirmary a few times until he woke up to offer his support. “I’m just glad they both pulled through.” Of course they both pulled through. I would only search humans of strong will. Her voice passed to both the bronze and the gold, though it had only been meant for her rider.
