Appearance Ketarian is tall and lanky with long legs and shaggy hair. He stands around 5'10 and weighs 183 lbs. His slightly tan skin shines like tree bark on a hot day. His hands are covered with old blisters from a lot of work as a child. His eyes are cold and dark with no emotion in them what so ever.
His dark brown hair shines like a dark blue color when the sun shines on it and silvery when it shines in the moonlight. He has long legs with thick muscles for running, jumping, and lifting heavy things. Ketarian has a small scar on his neck that cannot be seen unless it one looks at it really closely. This tall lanky boy is good at running and can get away from most things. Ketarian makes sure that he can get away with not combing his hair. He thinks he looks dashing with messy hair.
Personality Ketarian is loyal too all he has pledged loyalty to. He does not like to betray those that he has sworn to protect and he will do all in his power to try to keep them safe. Ketarian is smart and he loves to come up with ideas that will help the Weyr out. His is quick to respond to others and he loves a good challenge. Ketarian does not like to fight and will do all in his power to let the proper people know if a fight is happening.
The boy does not like being a tattle tail, but if the Weyr becomes stronger with its inhabitants working together rather than fighting then it was worth it for Ketarian. This young man often does puzzles to keep his mind working and coming up with better ideas then his previous ones. Ketarian often likes to flirt with the female Candidates and spend time with them. He won't do anything to harm them, but he hopes that he can get a girl that he spends the most time with. When Ketarian fights he only fights in order to better protect the Weyr.
He does not fight for fun and he always tries his best to help others when they need the help. The only time Ketarian ever fights is for honor and protection. He is very stickler when it comes to this. The boy doesn't like it when his friends are picked on. Whenever he gets into fights he gets a few scrapes and bruises as well as messy hair. For some reason Ketarian thinks his messy hair is dashing.

History Ketarian was born to Tari and Ketan in late winter. It was harsh for the Traders that Turn as the Trading had not been so good. Ketarian grew up learning the ways of being a Trader. This was what his parents wanted him to be, but the boy didn't want it. Every night when the skies were clear the boy would look up and watch them.
He learned what the constellations were from different people of the places they went and Traded with. Ketarian was at Solace Hold when his sister, Taktari, was born. The boy was 2 Turns old at this time and his love for his sister was great. He enjoyed playing with her and teaching her the stars. It was nice to watch the stars with someone. The two became inseperable and when other Trader children picked on his sister the boy always stepped in and stood up for her.
Turns passed and soon both Taktari and Ketarian found themselves at the Halls as apprentices in the Starcraft portion of the Halls. The two took their studies seriously. Even at the Halls Taktari was treated badly. Ketarian was furious that no one would leave his sister alone. Because of this he vowed never to show his emotions. He cared for his sister a lot, but he couldn't let his emotions get in the way of his studies and his life. The time Ketarian and his sister spent as apprentices at the Halls was three Turns. They had gone when Ketarian was 12 and Taktari at age 10.
When Ketarian was 15 a band of Searchriders came to the Halls. He and his sister took their place with the other apprentices and they both found themselves Searched. Out of all the apprentices at the Halls, Ketarian, his sister, and two others that he didn't he didn't know. Once at Trelis Weyr the boy found himself thrust in the life of a Dual Candidate and into more lessons. Here he kept an eye on his sister, but so far none bothered her.
