A'vin blinked, then grinned. She was beautiful! And very endearing. "Well, Lori, looks like you got a little one to help me look after." The green, now sitting on his shoulder, chirped and looked at the little green. A'vin handed the little green a piece of the meatroll he currently held in his hand and watched her eat it hungrily. He only had so much food on him for hte moment, but he gave her what he could, but soon, he had the little green curled up on his forearm. "Well, Lori, Vinerath... We need to name her now, huh?" That was the point at which Vinerath decided it was worth chiming in. I will name her. Her name will be Verdi. Do you object, A'vinMine? The Brown's tone was decisive, but playful, kind, and loving at the same time. He liked flitters, quite a lot. Mine, bring her to me so that I can see her, please?Be patient, Hon... I'll bring her to see you shortly, he said ot his dragon, stroking the green. he wanted to stick around and see what came of hte other eggs, after all! Look what had come from them already. Such new, beautiful and interesting colors! What was it about Trelis, he wondered... What with the new dragon colors and the new flitter colors... Would there be new Wher colors in Risk's upcoming clutch? He really wondered. Was it Trelis itself that brought about the new colors? Iirla didn't have time to think about the new colors as her own egg started to hatch. And it hatched out two flitters! Two of a color she had never seen before. Oh my! And she was demanding. She could feel the pull on ehr mind from the flitter she grinned. What color was she? Was she a queen? She certainly seemed like she could be... She immediately gave the food that she was handed to the defiant little sub-queen. She let the flitter crawl up her arm to her shoulder and looked at her sister who had Impressed to Naira. They were so different fro meach other. "Congratulations," she said with a smile to the Rider. Her little one was a lighter color, but was definitely beautiful. "Well... I suppose you need a name." She didn't come up with one right away, looking around at the others gathered their and their flitters. Their were colors like she had never seen and they were all so beautiful, but she was of the opinion that her little beauty was the most beautiful of those there. "I'll call you Ama," she said, looking over at her. she reached over and scratched her chin. The defiant thing was rather pleased that she was being given the attention and love she deserved. ((Feel free to attach any other flitters to any chars of mine if you so wish with any of the extras... Even chars that aren't here if you want. Heh... ^^'; I'm happy with the two my chars have! They're awesome!!! Thank you so much!!!! *snugs them*))

The egg jerked sporadically, fiercely fighting to free its contents then, as Yufa watched the egg, and it seemed to stop, as if giving up. That wasn’t right… Yufa reached out a hand to pick it up when suddenly a wet, gooey body flopped out from behind the egg, causing her to jump in surprise. The little creature – for Yufa couldn’t say what colour it was exactly – flicked out its wings, obviously intelligent enough to let them dry before moving too much. Yufa tilted her head in curiosity as she looked over the hatchling. It was a green, wasn’t it? Yet no green she had seen in both her home Hold and the Weyr had markings quite like that, not to mention the little creature definitely held itself in a masculine way.
Her eyes widened a little bit more as the Epidote turned its gaze to her, clucking its tongue and chirping in a way that made her think she had just been examined by it, just like she had been examining the hatchling. Yufa decided she was already fond of the little thing. He seemed clever enough to be the well-behaved companion she needed. The holdgirl picked up a small piece of food and offered it to him, pleased when he looked over the offered morsel and took it. Another morsel or two later and the multicoloured flit, wings almost dried, accepted the offered hand and made his way to sit on her shoulder, head held high as he surveyed the world from his new vantage point. Yes, this would do nicely.
Now that Cassim, as she had named him, had a full belly and was officially hers, she figured she needed to find the nice lady who had given her the egg. Maybe she knew more about the strange colour. She rose from her seat, careful not to disrupt the hatchling, and made her way back to where Ara had given her the egg. Arriving there, she noticed a number of other colours that she had never seen before. As strange as it was, it was comforting; at least she didn’t need to worry about Cassim being seen as a mutant or anything.
“Sorry to bother you Miss…” Yufa spoke quietly when she got a chance, since the woman had been saying something as she had approached, “Is this little one what you called an… Epidote?” She asked, trying to recall if that was the word the greenrider had used a moment earlier. Whether she got a response or not was hard to say, since her question was almost immediately followed by the hatching of strangely coloured twins. Oh how unnerving this all was! First, the dragons had been strange, and now there were odd flits? Not that she had anything against Cassim, he was perfect in her eyes, but the mutations – for lack of a better term- were a tad unnerving to the girl who had been raised with in a world where being different was looked down upon.
Ad’os reflexively lifted up his hands to protect himself as the egg he had claimed shattered apart. Lowering the limbs, he watched in confusion as the blue-ish flit chirped not at him, but at the green on his shoulder. The green chirped back, not confused at all as she welcomed her sister to her fair, her wings flittering in excitement as she bonded to her new friend.
He held out his arm for her and grinned as she ran up to greet Trouble and himself at close range. He offered up food, which she gobbled up hungrily before turning her attention to everyone else around her; flit, human, and dragon alike. To be honest, Ad’os was confused. The blue hide made him think the little flit was male… but it acted oddly feminine for it. It is a girl, Ad’osMine. Ad’os looked up to see Soheath watching from the air, the brown circling lazily as he tried to get a good look at the creature from where he was. I’ll bring her to you later. The female than chirped and drew his attention to the egg the topaz weyrling had claimed. The lazuli chattered her greeting at the little blue.
“Well Atla,” He spoke softly to the strange coloured flit, “Welcome to the world.” He turned to Ara and Aries then. “Thank you both, and congratulations Ara.”
J’dol grinned as the egg he wanted finally broke, revealing a soft blue body. He leaned forward to get a good look at the fellow when suddenly the blue twirled about, wings spread hectically to stop a tumble that ended up being unavoidable anyway. Well, wasn’t he just adorable. The weyrling laughed aloud as the hatchling’s crazy antics caused him to go crashing into another egg pot, though Kayath seemed entirely un-amused by the goo. J’dolMiiiiiiine! It’s supposed to clean mee NOT make me dirty! Stop him Miiine!
He figured it was time to pick the little boy up and try to calm him down, but then the attention span of the flit caused him to launch himself at young man. Stepping back, J’dol fumbled as he tried to catch the flit without causing any harm. As soon as the blue body had landed in his arms, it was off, twining itself around the boy, then up his back and onto his shoulder. Looking over, the flit was gone again before Jaks could even register that he had moved. The blue cheeped gleefully from His’s head. Completely flabbergasted by the sheer energy in the tiny body, J’dol did the first thing he could think of; pick up a handful of meat. Before he could bring it closer to the flit, the blue had already flung itself down his arm and into the handful of meat.
"You're going to a handful..." J’dol used his other hand to rub his temple, already feeling the hatchling would be more work than his dragon. Well, at least the little guy had named himself. He truly was a Spazz.
[[OOC: I adore these guys!]]

Ara looked over at a girl with an Epidote on her shoulder. "I didn't say it, Inali did actually. What do you think Lili?" The greenrider cocked her head as she eyed the two new colors. The Weyrwoman nodded her head. "Loraketh has been relaying information from the new flits to me. You see they automatically know like the dragonets from her clutch where they belong in a pecking order. Those two twins, which Lore called Ametrines, for instance are the same as Sub-Queens. Not quite a Queen, but more than a fighting female. Though I do think that lighter one is defiant of that fact." Giving a little laugh at that Inali pointed over to the Lazulis next. "Those little ones are females, they're the same as a Green. Fighters, just smaller than the others..except for whites of course. It looks like they're still smaller than Lazulis. Epidotes like yours are not kings, but are not the same as a blue flit either. Sort of like the Garnet dragonet in the last dragon clutch. It's the same as a brown flit. He seems intelligent though, more so than most colors his size...or even larger." Nodding her head to agree with her own words, Inali pet Ghost as the flit moved suddenly before freezing again. Ara laughed as J'dol started to handle his little blue. It was a spastic thing so the name certainly fit. Thankfully though the blue would give him enough trouble. Perhaps finally she would be left alone. Perhaps finally he would stop asking her for a kiss or dance. That would be nice...it was starting to get difficult to resist the handsome topazrider. Oh Kayath! Would it be helpful if I had AraMine's flits help clean you up? Aries knows how though she won't like it, and Excalibur and Yours blue should learn quickly enough. OH! Yours can even maybe have that dance with Mine then! Ara widened her eyes at her dragon's words and dropped her jaw. The movement unsettled the bronze hatchling and Gold mother on her lap and shoulders. I so hate you right now Avirith! The green snorted and shook out her wings as if she could care less. I know Mine. Fiegning disinterest in her rider's opinion of the topazrider dancing with her, the green went back to looking pretty for the nearby bronze. Oh and there was even a brown in the skies as well! Oh how she wanted them to aknowledge and want her! ...little did she know the exact thing would happen only a few days later. Nearby a form moved over to the booth. Akilu was getting used to being at a Gather again. Especially since this time instead of being a holdbred girl or healer apprentice she was a candidate. Not that she'd been the first two for a while though. No that space had been occupied with drudge until Ad'os came to Apolla and searched herself and Sakalas. The girl seemed to be nearby, feeding her new colored flit. Nodding a gentle greeting in her friend's direction Akilu moved toward the booth. "Hello again Ad'os. Greeting Weyrwoman, all of you." Akilu's soft voice whispered from her lips as she dipped her head down in recognition of the others above her. She smiled at the other candidates and weyrlings, looking over at the eggs. It was at this time that the Hukuna Matata egg started to rock gently. Widening her eyes the candidate was amazed to see it hatch into a beautiful blue. It blinked in the setting sun's light and fluttered its wings. It wanted His. Where was His? Not that it couldn't wait, it had all the time in the world after all. It was calm and collected and it needed to be patient and find someone just like that...someone like her. Looking up at Akilu the blue flit chirped happily and climbed onto her arm. Blue, Mellow, Hukuna, Matata Egg

K'lin smiled as he looked around him. He had always liked gathers, but they did tend to get a little confusing, especially when he tried to remember where everything was at, and who everyone was that he talked to. Bearith on the other hand didn't have to worry about remembering names, since most people don't really talk to him. Especially since he doesn't normally walk with His.
K'lin Mine, there is a flit hatching. You should get one to help with oiling me. Bearith's sweet voice had the man sighing and shaking his head. Alright you, where are they? K'lin didn't really have to wait for his dragon's directions. All he had to do was follow the stream of people talking about the firelizard hatchlings. It was kind of slow going, but K'lin slowly made his way through the crowd, and looked at what eggs were left.
K'lin raised his eye brows when he saw that there was only one left. It was the The White Rabbit Egg, and K'lin had to admit, the egg did appeal to him for some strange reason. He never had been a big firelizard person, but his dragon wanted him to have one, so he was going to try. Hey Ara, would it be ok if I took your last egg? He tilted his head towards the egg as he spoke to the other rider.

Ara looked up at her weyrling assistant. "Of course you can K'lin." She was happy to be honest that she didn't have to worry about the poor thing now. The egg was already close to making its own debut after being upset. It was late! It was late for an important date! It shouldn't be late though. No, no, no, no, no! Pushing frantically against the edges of its shell the little flit inside started to widen the opening it had already formed. A bit more, come on now! It needed to go faster, this wasn't good enough! Hissing unhappily the egg finally gave way and let forth a tumbling hatchling. It was a pale blue, milky in hue and lithe in form. A small thing really, the size of a larger green. It didn't matter though! Looks didn't matter! Running around the blue trilled unhappily. It was late, it was late! He'd never find His now! Suddenly though he skidded to a stop. There was His! Screetching loudly the blue flared his wings and ran toward K'lin. Now, food, food, food! Hurry now there wasn't much time! Of course the blue had no real idea why it was being late in the first place. He was though! Blue, Hasty, The White Rabbit Egg and then I started to put together pixels for them....but so far I only have this one, the white one, the lighter ametrine and the gold flit.

“Oh, my apologies Miss.” She flushed with embarrassment. How inappropriate of her to have jumped to such an incorrect conclusion! Oh, how her father would scold her if he knew! She should have made sure she was talking to the right woman… She continued her inner monologue, though she also made sure to listen as the Weyrwoman spoke. She nodded acknowledgment as first the Ametrines, then the Lazulis were explained. Having a dragon was truly a wondrous thing, there was no doubt. She regretted the rash decision she had made to stand for the whers… her first lesson had shown her how much she didn’t like the idea of the beasts. As guilty as it felt, she severely hoped she would fail to impress a wher in order to try again with the dragons. Oh, how she wished to bond to one of those magnificent creatures. Finally, the topic moved on from Lazulis to her Epidote. So he was like the garnet? Oh dear… she truly hoped he would not end up being as uncontrollable as the garnet dragonet. He was so lovely now, would he change as he grew? No, she would not let him, she would train him properly! She could not help the small smile that graced her delicate features as Inali praised the little Epidote. “Many thanks, My Lady, for your kind words.” She liked the Weyrwoman. “If I may say, My Lady, congratulations on your own impression. She is quite lovely.” Cassim’s eyes whirled slowly in curiosity as he examined the other young hatchlings that were obviously from the same clutch as he was. Wanting a better view of the green on the other woman’s shoulder, he slunk from one shoulder to the other, his body moving in such a way that one might miss the movement if they were not watching carefully. He snaked his head out from behind Yufa’s hair to look at Ghost.
J’dol grimaced as he heard Ara laugh, almost positive that the sound was directed at him. Spazz was definitely not helping him keep his amazingly hot and wonderful reputation, not at all. Sighing as the blue finally settled enough to sit on his arm and scarf down the meat, J’dol realized that this must have been karma for tormenting Ara. It had to be, and now he seemed more unlikely than ever to get what he wanted. Then he got to listen with glee as Kayath passed on what Avirith had said to her, before responding. Oooh Avirith! That is a wonderful idea! I would so like to have this gunk off me. She ruffled her wing, trying to dislodge a splatter of goo that had landed on it. Mine would toootally love to dance! He is quite fond of yours, you know. I think it is frivolous really, he should be fondest of me! I am wonderful though, so I will let Yours have him for a little while, as long as he comes back to me afterwards! Hear that Mine!?
A chuckle escaped his lips at the look on Ara’s face. He really was fond of Avirith. Beside Kayath, the green was probably his favourite. He did feel somewhat bad though; it really did seem that Ara was.. uncomfortable about dancing with her student, not that Jaks saw the issue.
“You know, Ara,” he began, leaning against her booth lazily. “You could always give me a good reason why you don’t want to have a little fun dancing tonight. I might let you off the hook if you can persuade me.” Well, he probably wouldn’t. She would have to have some obscure fear of dancing or something before he considered it, but didn’t he look thoughtful and caring this way?! How could she resist him now?
Spazz then, as if realizing he had been still for more than a second, launched back into his psychotic movements. Running up and down His’ arms and back. Spreading his now-dryish wings, he launched himself from the young man’s head and landed back on the table he had hatched on. He chirped back up at Jaks with an expression that screamed ‘Did ya see that? Huh HUH?! Did ya?’. He fluttered about, his head whipping back and forth as he tried to take in all the sights and sounds around. ‘Ooh what was that over there? And what’s that? And that!’ The little blue tumbled again, having forgotten to watch where he was going, and landed on his snout. Snorting, squawking and making a fit, the little flit flung himself back at J’dol. Oh what a cruel world! Always causing him pain! WHY DID THE WORLD HATE HIM!?
Soheath crooned down at Avirith as the green looked his way. Wasn’t she a pretty little thing? He circled around, spreading his wings wide as he looked down at her again, before finally angling his wings to land nearby.
Ad’os raised an eyebrow at Ara and J’dol, a tad confused about the behavior of both. He had a feeling that whatever was going on seemed to be a one-way deal. Namely, the weyrling wanted something that Ara didn’t seem to keen about. Wait, the issue was over a dance? Ad’os leaned down close to her, as if to tell her a secret. Atla leaned in as well, though once close enough she chirped at her mother and brother.
“Hey Ara..” He whispered, “If you need a convenient distraction at the feast tonight, I know a brownrider who would be more than happy to take up your time.” He may not be the most exciting person around, but he’d help a friend out in a time of need, if they wanted it. He had no plans for the night anyway. He didn’t wait for a verbal response exactly, figuring she would let him know if she needed help. He leaned away and looked at the newcomer.
“Good to see you again Akilu. Adjusting well to the Weyr I hope?” Ad’os asked nicely, pleased to see the girl again. He was curious to see both girls at the hatching when the time came, and he hoped they were aware that he’d be rooting for them. His attention once again turned as the Hakuna Matata egg hatched, revealing an intriguing little blue hatchling who quickly attached itself to the girl. “Lucky timing, Akilu, congrats!” Atla, wanting to meet her newest brother and His, tried to hop onto Akilu’s shoulder, chirping her happy greeting as she went.

K'lin smiled happily when Ara said it was alright for him to take the last egg. He didn't have to wait very long to see what he would get, because as soon as he reached over to pick up the rocking egg, it hatched. K'lin watched as the blue hatchling fought with it's shell, and seemed like the poor thing thought it was late for a very important date. He tilted his head as he stared at the little male.
K'lin felt like he was starting getting dissy as he watched the blue run around in circles. Alright, we're going to have to stop this. The man put a hand on his forehead and blinked his eyes to restore his bearings. He reached out for the little blue, and picked him up when it screeched at him. Alright, here you go. He smiled as the male started to eat the food he was handed. Though, K'lin thought the poor thing was going to choke on the meat that he handed it.
K'lin smiled when the little male finally finished his food, and was thankful that it didn't choke on any of it. Alright, now we just need a name for you... He stared at the little blue, trying hard to think of a name for it. What about McTwisp Mine? K'lin smiled and shook his head at his dragon's words. That is a perfect name Bearith. Alright little one, you shall now be called McTwisp.
McTwisp looked up at K'lin when he heard his name, and chirped at him. Why where they still here? They were late. They were late. For a very important date! K'lin watched as his newest partner climbed up to his shoulder, grumbling in frustration as His just stood there. Didn't they have somewhere to be? Alright, I guess I'll see you at the feast later? He smiled as he spoke to the Weyrling Master.
K'lin had heard Ad'os say that he could give her a distraction, and had also heard what the weyrling said as well. So why not give the woman two excuses to get away from the boy? McTwisp chriped at His once again, trying to get the man to move, but when he just gave him a side-ways look, the blue flit grumbled, and curled himself around K'lin's neck. The man shook his head at his flit's actions, wondering if it would always be so hasty.

Akilu smiled at the blue that raced around on the rider's shoulder. Unlike her own blue, he was much more spastic. The candidate reached over to pet her own flit, recieving a happy croon from the male. "Thank you. It is wonderful to see you as well. I think I'll name him....." something small inside her piped up suddenly. A name she had forced herself to forget. The blue heard it there though and chirped happily, content with her thoughts. No, no, no! He couldn't have that name! Except it was already his wasn't it. "His...his name is Rayne."
It had first been a female's name, her daughter long gone now for two and a half turns. Still, the blue had taken it from her memory and had attached itself to the sounds in her head. Rayne fluttered his wings happily and crooned again. No worries for His! His needed to chill! Those were the thoughts that seemed to pass from flit to owner. The dark haird woman frowned slightly at Ad'os' suggestion. She had taken a bit of a fancy to the brownrider really. He was so nice, and sweet..... Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, that really shouldn't be there in the first place, Akilu watched the other newly impressed firelizards.
Of course that's when a firelizard landed on her shoulder, sending the candidate into an alerted frenzy. Crying out sharply, Akilu spooked like a young runner, moving a few feet in the air as she jumped. "I'm sorry, I just...I didn't see it coming...I'm so sorry." Reaching up to settle her own flit which was already over the jolt, Akilu turned apologetic eyes to the owner. -----
Ara could only stare at the men that had suddenly come on to her. What was this? Flirt with the unwilling greenrider day?!? Oh come now Mine! You know you love it! Avirith crooned with a slight snap in Ara's mind. Alyara, you know you want someone to look at you the same way T'rian does for Inali. Blushing slightly as Avirith pointed that little fact out, Ara snapped her eyes down to Excalibur's curled up form. He was in her lap, crooning softly like a purring cat. Aries was sleeping draped across her shoulders, content to have at least one of her children still there.
It was true that the greenrider was jealous of her best friend. The Weyrwoman was lucky to have a weyrmate. Your time will come as well Mine. The green crooned gently in her rider's mind. Shaking herself mentally to focus again, Ara looked up at Ad'os then at Akilu noticing the older girl's expression. "No, it's alright Addy. Thank you though, perhaps sometime later. I have a weyrling to teach though. After all, why did Kierah give me lessons if not to teach others as well? Isn't that a Weyrlingmaster's job?" Laughing slightly the green rider swept back her hair from her shoulders and up into a messy bun.
"I'll see you later K'lin. Perhaps we can share a dance as well? It seems my card is awefully filled tonight, and I have yet to get to the floor in the first place. No wonder Avirith is proud of me! Ad'os, perhaps you could give the pleasure of the first dance to this lady instead though." Gesturing toward Akilu, Ara smiled as the older girl widened her eyes and put a hand over her mouth to hide a surprised grin. "So, how about I help you get Kayath cleaned while we wait for the others to come around with their newly hatched firelizards, J'dol?" Without saying anything else Ara pulled a cloth from the table and pointed toward a bucket. "Aries, sweetheart I need you to help me my dear. Teach your sons too."
----
Inali nodded at the candidate as she tripped over apologies and formalities. "Really it's alright. You don't have to be so formal with me. I'm not strict like some Hold Ladies or other Weyrwomen are. I'm barely older than you if not about the same age." Cocking her head to the side slightly she reached up toward the silent green's form. Ghost had moved her head slightly at the other flit's approach. Crying out she closed her mouth again, staying silent and watching the other firelizard.
Inali could only shake her head. The green was a strange thing. Nothing like her Pepper or Loraketh. "I'll see you all at the feast. I should make sure that things are all right. It was nice to see you all again." In truth the smell of the food nearby was making the Weyrwoman's stomach upset. She needed to move away from it, and so she did. Really?!? Did holding a child in her body have to cause this much trouble? Still...she put a protective hand against her abdomen and smiled to herself. She couldn't wait to see what came into this world. It was like waiting for eggs to hatch and see their color.

S’val paused in his conversation with Ara as the Pandorica egg and the Hunchback of Notre Dame egg both began to rattle and rock. Reign chitered excitedly from his perch upon the Wingleaders shoulder as he craned his long neck to get a good look at the hatching eggs. The large Pandorica egg was the first to show any signs that the creature inside was willing to meet him and this world and before S’val knew it, bits of egg shell shot through the air as the little flit angrily strove to break into his new world. S’val chuckled at the little males feisty cry as he watched the large, sea-blue and intricately marked flit spread his wings and gaze pointedly around at his surroundings, seeming to take each and every detail in. “Hello little one, I think you shall be called Draco. What do you think, Reign?” Stroking the still wet hatchling, S’val looked to his brown who trilled happily in response towards the new youngling. Popping a piece of meat into the hatchlings mouth, S’val turned his attention to the Hunchback of Notre Dame egg. “Come now, your next.” ________
The young dark dragon and his bond mate were currently at a blacksmith stall when the little white and gold flecked egg that he had been carrying had started to shake. R’xth turned over the hunting knife he had been looking at before coming to an agreement with the journeyman behind the stall. Handing over the few marks, Ry slipped the blade in its new sheath and strapped it to his leg before carefully pulling the egg from his pocket and moving away from the crowd a bit. “Mideth, I think our new friend is hatching…” We were told she could be a Queen, Mine. You should think of a name for her while we wait for her to hatch.

Well it was just about time for S'val's second egg to hatch it seemed. The egg twitched, the hatchling inside despret to reach the outside world. It was meant for more than this shell! It was meant for something greater than this dark misery that was its prison! With one giant crack a dark brown foot climbed out and that firelizard shifted in its confines. Yes! Here was freedom, here was sweet air and open space! The green nose that had pressed against the opening pushed up and soon the egg spilt at its seems. The flit that tumbled forth crooned and cocked its head in wonder. So this was the world? What a wondrous place full of color and ceaseless surprises! It wasn't the prettiest thing to look at really. The Epidote, as it seemed to be another of these new males, had a dark almost muddy hide. Grayish brown mixed with streaks of green and black. In the dull and almost hideous by color alone flit however was a serene wonder and amazement at every new experience. If only it could find someone to share this with! If it could only find His. The Epidote turned swiftly around as it trilled. There were people everywhere, yet it couldn't find the right one. In fact it was almost too much! A blur of colors and faces, of laughs and outbursts. Where they all directed at him or was it simply his imagination? Finally at last he saw his, closer to him than he could have ever guessed. Looking up at S'val, the Epidote crooned at the one always meant to be his savior. Epidote, Curious and Innocent, The Hunchback of Notre Dame Now the Queen egg, seeing all her siblings take their freedoms, had decided that it was her turn as well. However, she was partially frightened. Yes, a Queen that was fearful of the unknown. Not because she was unable to face it, but because she had only known her own domain for so long. Her egg a perfect sanctuary had also been her most unforgivable prison. It had done her both a favor and a diservice and now that fact stood glaringly in her face. Unhappy and uncontent with what she knew the Queen pushed against her shell and broke free finally into the light. Now was the question of what to do. Should she run and leap around? Should she sing in pleasure at the open air? Should she simply sit and take it all in? Surely the last one sounded the most lady-like and demure. However, was it what she wanted? The little Gold, for she most definitely was little, about the size of a medium bronze. Also most definitely Gold, for though her hide was a patchwork of bright gleaming golds, burnt almost bronzes, and pale white golds, her's was indeed a hide of metallic qualities. It glistened in the sun's final rays as it set behind the Weyr Bowl. Cocking her head, the little Queen sighed and yawned. She was free of her prison now, but who was her knight to come take her away and show her the rest of the world. After all, she so yearned to look and explore though she knew perhaps it wasn't the Queenliest thing to do. She didn't even mind getting messy in the process if it meant being free.
