Ara looked up from the few remaining eggs at her stall. They were shaking vigorously and a pop of cold air alerted her to Aries' arrival. The gold hummed happily at the remaining eggs, winding herself around Hers' neck.
Nearby Sakalas had set her egg down to eat. Takorah was the first to see it bump and cawed happily, pecking at His' shoulder. "Ouch you insa....EGGS!" Chirping happily the lunar flapped his wings.
Inali was near the eating place where dinner would soon be held. Looking at her pocket the goldrider smiled as she felt a twitch again. The egg was hatching! She hadn't felt this excited for her own impression in a long while.
(Ooc: Okay post your character somewhere in the gathering doing whatever they're doing at this time. Crovin and I will start hatching out babies to you guys. YOU ARE STILL ALLOWED TO CLAIM EGGS!!! There are left overs, but you may want to wait and see what you're already getting before claiming other eggs that you hadn't already reserved/won.)

Shenzi hadn't gone far, and wondered if she should see about getting another flit to keep her other one company. So she made her way back to Ara's stand. She looked over at the remaining eggs, and the Blue Catapillar Egg caught her eye. Ara, would it be ok if I took this egg as well? She reached over, and picked up the red looking egg as she spoke. She turned her curious, dark brown eyes on the dragon rider.
Shenzi almost screamed when she felt the egg that she had hidden inside her dress move. She quickly, and carefully brought it out of it's hiding spot, and watched as it started to rock back and forth. Oh Faranth they're hatching!!! She turned her wide eyes on Ara, hoping that the other would say it was alright if she took the other strange egg before it hatched, so that she might have a good chance at impressing the two flitters that would come from the two eggs.

Before Ara could say anything though the egg Shenzi had pointed towards gave a violent shake and poked one wind spur out. It was time for it to hatch now. That was right, it was time. As it poked one light brown leg out, the flit flexed its wings so that they pushed at the shell it was still in. The egg gave way and splintered around the flit, revealing the brown inside. Chirping he shook his wings off and spattered a bit of egg goo in different directions. What a curious world this was. However it did seem lonely in its vastness. Looking up at a pale thing he noticed as her robes twitched. Inside the egg Shenzi had already taken was getting very upset at what it was hearing. How dare this person that had claimed her first want another?!? Cracking open the flit inside ran up Shenzi's arm and flung herself at the Brown flit below. She was not sharing! The green, a sickly pea color spread her wings out and hissed at her pale sibling. He had no right! He was ugly and horrible and undeserving. The brown simply shrugged his shoulders. He didn't care, he was fine the way he was. Let his sister become upset. Looking up at the thing the green had come from he chirped. He wanted this one to be his. Not to be outdone the green slammed into her brother. No she'd be the one to impress to this human! Green, Mean-spirited, The Wicked Step Mother Egg Brown, Mellow, Blue Catapillar Egg

R'hard had stopped by the area where the harpers had set up their instruments. They were nearing the end of one song, and the weyrling rider was seriously considering taking up the next dance. Of course, for that, he would need a partner, and he started glancing through the crowds for a likely girl.
He was distracted, though, when the egg he'd chosen earlier that day started rocking in its pot beside him. Hari had joined him by this time, and the fire lizard immediately began to hum while R'hard gasped in excitement. The egg was hatching!
He'd already gotten an extra large lunch in order to feed the hatchling when it appeared, but he was curious to see not only what he got, but what all the other eggs would hatch into as well. So instead of leaving the egg where it was, he took it into his arms and made his way back towards Alyara's booth, keeping one watchful eye on his egg the entire time.
---------------------------------------------------
Hirion hadn't even left the fire lizard clutch yet. She had just picked out her own egg, but there were still plenty other eggs left over, and oh, was she tempted. Apparently she wasn't the only one with ideas, since another person was also asking for a second egg.
Hirion shrugged. Well, why not? She already had one egg from a green's clutch, so this time she focused her attention on gold Aries's remaining eggs. "Can I have that one as well?" she asked, pointing to the Off With Her Head egg.
She watched excitedly as the first two eggs began to hatch into a green and a brown. They didn't Impress to her, but it was still something to see. She just hoped her own eggs would get along better, both with each other and with Banshee.

Shenzi gasped when she saw the Blue Caterpillar Egg start to shake viliontly, and a brown wing pop out of the egg. She watched in silent amazement as the brown hatchling pushed his way out of his egg. She smiled and was extremely thankfull that she had brought plenty of meat. She wasn't sure exactly how much the flitter would eat, or how much her unhatched flit would eat for that matter.
Shenzi didn't have to wait long to see what was in the Wicked Step Mother Egg though. She gasped once again when she saw the green run up her arm, and then through herself at her brother. Alright, alright! That is enough! Her voice was firm, but still loving as she scolded her green. She grabbed one of the pieces of meat she had, and all but threw it in front of the green.
Shenzi shook her head, and watched the pea colored green, tear into the food she had been give. She sighed, and gently placed a piece infront of the brown. She would have to teach the two of them to get along, but at that moment, she just needed to feed them. Well, I hope that she won't be so mean after she's full! She smiled and giggled a little as she spoke. Her words weren't really directed at anyone in perticular, but they were loud enough for anyone to hear.
Alright little miss, I think I'll call you Lady Tremaine. The green flit chirped when she heard her name, but she couldn't be bothered at that moment, there was food to eat after all. Shenzi rolled her eyes at the green, and then turned her attention to the brown, who was already half-way done with his third piece of meat. She tiltted her head to the side as she though of a name for him.
I guess I'll call you Absolem. The brown crooned up at Shenzi when she said his name. He was starting to get full, and he only had a couple bites of meat left. Not to be out-done by this brown beast, Lady Tremaine started to eat her food quicker than she should. Lady Tremaine please! Shenzi took the piece of meat away from the green, and broke it into more bite sized pieces for her.
Shenzi finished hand feeding Lady Tremaine, who climbed her way up to Shenzi's shoulder, and wrapped her tail possesively around the woman's neck. Not too tight my dear. Her voice was soft and sweet as she spoke to her green firelizard. She smiled, and picked up Absolem, who climbed up onto Shenzi's other shoulder, and ignored the hiss that he recived from his green sister.
Absolem wrapped his tail around Shenzi's shoulder, well out of reach of Lady Tremaine, who was still upset that she had to share Shenzi's attention. Alright you two, be have. She reached up with both arms, and scratched both firelizard on their chin. She smiled when she heard the croon that came from both of them. She rolled her eyes, and turned her attention back to the woman who had given them to her.
Thank you Ara, though, it looks like I'm going to have some trouble getting them to like each other. She smiled and giggled as she spoke to Ara. She was extremely happy now that she had two life comanions, even if they didn't get along the gratest. She was sure that the two of them would learn to share her attention.

To be honest Ara thought that she'd have trouble having that green get along with anyone. However before she could say that the eggs started to crack again. This time it was a race between Off With Her Head and Sword In The Stone. Both eggs rocked and rocked, lines splintering across their surfaces. Over with R'hard his egg was rocking as well. Who would be first though? It seemed that R'hard's King's Devotion Egg would. The little egg hatched in a flurry of movement, the shell giving way to a green form. The second female of Aries' clutch and she was a little thing. However she held herself with the pride that any Gold would. She was brave, she was proud, she was....protective apparently. The tribal marked female hissed at the opening eggs on the table. Out first came a reddish brown form from Off With Her Head egg. The brown hissed in return, lashing his tail and snapping up at the green. In return the green hissed and flared her wings. This was her human! This was Hers! Green, Protective, A King’s Devotion Egg Snorting the brown flicked his tail. Fine! He didn't need a stupid green's human anyway. Turning toward Hirion the brown hissed but this time in a pleased way. This one would do perfectly! Before he could move though the Sword In The Stone Egg hatched to reveal a shining bronze. The King shook his head and looked around with blinking eyes. What a strange place this was! Oh no he was just upside down. Turning the right way he spread his golden bronze wings. He liked this place now that it was right. The reddish brown near him hissed at the King, furious that the other flit was here. Something better than him?!? No that couldn't be! Snapping his jaws the brown lunged for the bronze. Unsure footing though made him land on his side, and the King shook his head. He wasn't going to do anything right like that. Straigtening up with dignity the bronze trotted over and chittered to his smaller brother. Then his eyes landed on Ara's form. She was beautiful and wonderful, and perfect. His golden mother was event there, one of her own. Chirping the bronze wound himself around the greenrider's form. Yes, this was His! Bronze, Stubborn, The Sword in the Stone Egg Hissing the brown found himself alone again. He would not be outdone by a green and bronze flit! NO! Snapping his jaws in Hirion's direction again, he flung himself onto her chest and wrapped his tail possively around her upper arm. THIS WAS HIS HUMAN! Brown, Bad-tempered, Off With Her Head Egg

At once another egg began to hatch; this time it was R'hard's egg, and he watched excitedly to see what would come from it. It turned out to be a green--a rather tiny one, but quite pretty, with intricate, almost tribal-like dark green markings on her hide.
R'hard started grinning. "Well, hello there, little one," he told her. The green's eyes focused on him, but then she turned her attention back to the other eggs with a hiss, and for a moment he was afraid she had rejected him.
But no, the green hissed and flared her wings as a brown hatched from one of the two rocking eggs, and she seemed to be saying that this was her human. Especially with the way she then went to R'hard and curled her tail around his arm protectively.
He grinned and stroked the flitter before beginning to feed her. From his opposite shoulder, Hari crooned a welcome to the hatchling. Perhaps he wasn't so upset about sharing his human with another flit after all. Of course, it probably helped that this was a female...
"I think I'll call you Sahar," R'hard said.
-------------------------------------------------
The brown had struggled his way out of his shell and immediately looked to Hirion with another hiss, though a more pleasant one than his last. The other egg was hatching as well, though, and this one revealed a bronze hatchling. For a moment, Hirion was disappointed that she hadn't picked that one first, but she shook her head. Oh well, color wasn't everything, and it seemed the flitters had a mind of their own anyway, for the bronze, once he stopped being harassed by the brown, chose Ara, to Hirion's surprise.
Now left alone, the brown hatchling snapped his jaws again irritably, and Hirion was taken by surprise when he leapt up and latched his claws onto her chest. She winced, that area was sensitive after all, and moved the hatchling up onto her shoulder as he was trying to wrap his tail around her arm. "Alright, alright, settle down, now," she told him firmly.
It wasn't so much what she said that got him to calm down, however. Instead it was Banshee, glaring down the rowdy brown hatchling and giving a low, steady hiss, that managed to intimidate the brown into being silent. Hirion cracked a smile. She knew Banshee was good for something. She just hoped the brown would continue to be intimidated by her once he grew larger than her. She set about feeding the brown while keeping one eye on her other egg. "How does Barus sound for a name, hmm?"
Barus didn't respond either way, and Hirion decided to take that as acceptance.

After leaving the egg booth, Yufa had slowly made her way to where the harpers and dancing were, wanting to listen to the music while she rested her feet. Before sitting, she had grabbed a small plate of food, her hunger urging her to at least nibble on some things as she let the music wash over her.
The song was fast paced with a heavy beat, perfect for dancing, though Yufa would do no such thing unless asked. She could feel the beat in her chest, could hear the humming of those around her. She blinked at the realization that it was not people, but some of the local fire lizards that were humming, and the vibrations were not the music… it was the egg!
Oh goodness! Yufa thought to herself as she tried to pull the egg out to a place she could see it. Placing it on the table, she began to fret. Oh, what was she supposed to do? She thought back to the dragon hatching she had stood for, recalling the constant reminder that hatchlings would need to be fed. She glanced at the small amount of food she had on the plate, hoping it would be enough, and gulped nervously as the vibrations of the 40 Thieves egg became faster.
Both J’dol and Ad’os had yet to leave the stand as the various remaining eggs began hatching, both watching as hatchlings found their partners and bonded. They definitely seemed to be a rather interesting group of individuals so far. Ad’os glanced at the egg he had been holding as it started to rock, fervently hoping that the flit inside would be able to get along with his green Trouble. He could feel, more than hear, Soheath’s humming as the eggs hatched.
He glanced back at the remaining, unclaimed eggs, hoping someone would come along and lay claim to them… he hated to see Aries’ hard work go to waste after all. Suddenly he realized that he hadn’t brought anything with him to use as food.
“Trouble, go get food!” He called to the green, sending her an image of the meat rolls he had recalled seeing earlier. She returned quickly with a small basket of meat rolls, and Ad’os realized she had likely taken it right off the table. Well, he would worry about that later, at least with the basket there would be enough for anyone else that needed food. He sent Trouble feelings of thanks as she settled on his shoulder, humming in time with the fervent rocking of the remaining eggs, and his Kiss the Girlegg. It was almost time!
J’dol huffed as Ara continued to ignore him, didn’t she want his love?!?! What a troublesome woman. She would come around in time, even if he had to wait until graduation to get that kiss! In fact.. that would be a great graduation gift… shaking his head he was forced to turn his attention away from the greenrider as the eggs began hatching. Bit trilled excitedly, doing an aerial display as she welcomed the young ones into the world. After a number of eggs hatched, which J’dol gave some quick congratulations to the new owners, Bit calmed down enough to land on his shoulder, though her talons dug into his skin as she tried to contain her excitement. He placed the I Just Can’t Wait to be King on the stall’s table, wanting to give the hatchling some room to flop when it hatched. Which he hoped would be soon.
Kayath hummed behind him, her eyes whirling quickly in excitement as she waited for Her’s new pet to come into the world.

Over with Yufa her egg was rocking back and forth in a series of jerky movements. The 40 thieves egg wanted out, and it wanted out now! It was a cunning individual though and it made a hole in the back of the egg small enough that maybe the humans wouldn't notice. Out it slithered, hiding behind the egg until it dropped to the ground. Flicking out dark green wings it crooned. So this was the world it had been waiting for. The flit blinked with swirling eyes, looking at its.....green body? No not quite green, it had dark browns, grays and blacks on it too. That was right! Being simply green would make him a girl, which he most defintely was not. No he was an Epidote, clever and quick! Holding open his wings to dry the male chirped. He wasn't shiny, no not at all, and probably only between the size of a blue and brown. He was no King, but hey wait he was certainly special. He was the best and brightest! ...okay not in color but certainly in mind! He needed someone like him, clever and witty. Turning a swirling gaze on Yufa the Epidote clucked his tongue and chirped. Yes she would do! Epidote, Clever, The 40 Thieves Egg Egg Ad'os seemed to also get a surprise from his Kiss The Girl egg. As it shattered before him a small flit betweent the size of a green and white flit appeared. It was a light bluish green color with silver running through her. Oh yes her. She was most definitely a girl and she fluttered her wings sweetly. She already knew Hers. She was right here! Chirping not exactly to Ad'os, but Trouble the Lazuli flit's gaze turned to rainbows. The bond was with the brownrider as well of course, but it was also just as much to his green! What a strange thing this was, though not uncommon with firelizards. After all that's what fairs did out in the wild. Running up his arm to get a better look at both of Hers, green and pink, she chirped. She wanted to play and see everyone! She wanted to say hello to everyone here! A friendly thing she was, and gentle too. Lazuli, Friendly, Kiss The Girl Egg The lazuli alerted everyone to her sibling as J'dol's egg started to break finally. The Just Can't Wait to Be King egg was not to be outdone, and it didn't want to wait any longer. Now was its time! Shooting through the egg's shell the blue chirped up at His. He was here! The blue twirled around and spread out his wings, tumbling over in the process. What was this?!? Oooooh and what was this?!? Pulling an egg sharp over his body the blue flit chirped. Wasn't this cool?!? He ran around and around on the table until he suddenly bumped into another egg's pot. OUCH that hurt! Keening unhappily the blue shook himself sending egg goo in every which way, including Kayath's direction. Hey that was fun! He did it again and ran around some more, spazzing out. His, his, his! Jumping toward J'dol the blue chirped happily. HE WAS HERE!!!! Blue, Crazy, I Just Can’t Wait To Be King Egg

"Thanks you!" she said with a big smile as she carefully picked up the pot, still looking at htel ovely egg before she smiled and looked up, bowing to the Weyrwoman and bowing respectfully. "Oh... Excuse me, Lady Inali," she said, calm, though still somewhat surprised.
It didn't take her but a moment to look back down at the egg. It was shaking! Oh my! She needed to get some food, but she had to be careful. She couldn't risk dropping the egg and she refused to do that. She looked around her. Well...
A'vin frowned. "Well Lori... Go get us some food." He had the green in his grasp, but the chittering flitter had stopped her complaints to start humming. She didn't realize at first that what she was asked to do was for the little ones and did not wish to go, but upon further impression from A'vin she left to return shortly, holding a meat roll in her claws, dropping it into A'vin's hand and dissapeared for to another.
A'vin broke off pieces and handed them to those who needed them. But, come to think of it, he better claim an egg of his own before they were all gone as well. "Well, Ara... I think I'll claim this egg," he said, pointing to the Bipidy, Bopedy, Boo Egg. He didn't even know if she could hear him or would pay any attention with all that was going on. He was barely paying attention, what with Lori trying to bring him food every few minutes.
He wasn't holding the egg he wished to claim, but really, he would be happy, in the end, to have any of the flitters attach to him, though he would have liked to choose his own egg, honest, but it was alright if he did or didn't, he would be alright. He still had his sometimes obnoxious green Lori.

The Pandorica Egg was the largest of its clutchmates. Heavy, cumbersome, seemingly important—yet without any discernable reason why. It would not hatch with the eggs of another’s clutch, no; it would wait and signal the hatching for its fellows. Every rock of the egg caused a crack to form across that murky shell, and every crack promised freedom. Tap tap tap, crack, crack and then an egg-tooth poked through the hardened exterior, and then one wing, and then another. Sea-blue and ringed with dark lines and spheres. Those membranes flailed and then spars gained purchase, thrusting back upon the unbroken shell and shattering it powerfully; the hatchling within breaking for with an angry scream that faded. Eggwet, and new, he had reacted to his prison, but now he was ready to see what this world held for him, S'val.
Not to be outdone by its larger and far less ostentatious sibling, The Tardis Egg whirred to life immediately after the other had hatched. Rattles, hisses, gurgles, wumbuzzles, fizztingers, and drumbles issued from within the ovoid shell. Tap tap. Yet there was no purchase to break free. Tap tap. Again stymied by that thick shell. But this one sought life, travel, adventure, mystery: It could not be contained by so frivolous a thing as an egg what was an egg anyway: Was she or he not part of the egg as certainly as the egg was a part of him or her? Yet: If the creature inside could only obliterate this prison...then...there would be a real freedom. The egg rocked as if in a fit for several long moments; past the point where its siblings had given up on it to second the charge: also rocking. Then finally. With one last amazing shudder, the entire shell disintegrated from multiple key positions: That was complex egg-tooth drilling if ever there was a case for it. And what a peculiar new colour. A Lazul. Yes. That felt right: Now who was to feed her, Saka?
Then it became a race, and The Ood Egg was winning; for all that anyone could see: such as they were. Both had fallen still at their sister's hatching, both remaining passive as if daring the other to go; but from within the Ood came a quiet hint of music, as if talons along the egg produced the sweetest sound of which you were faintly aware but could not place. Was this lovely creature singing, or was this an eggsong passed down for generations: Did the hatchling sing for happiness? Or sorrow? Impossible to tell. The song continued until a faint orb began to outline on the shell itself as if a raised brand: Faster the song came and more precise with its lilting tones. Higher and higher that brand rose until finally pop! A beautiful muzzle moved away so a swirling eye could look out. That dance continued within, but now with a sense of urgency: The Ood knew what it wanted, and that was freedom. At once the egg halved itself along the line the firelizard had carved: soundlines and freedom. Bond this one well, Hirion.
The Silence Egg was as its name. You nearly forgot it was there the moment you looked away, and yet when you did see it--it captured you. It was the last, the first, the only, the eldest, and yet the youngest. First to be laid and last to hatch: Something was different about this one, and certainly that significance would transfer to the hatchling within it. It dragged into an unnerving battle; would this one ever hatch at all? Yes. It would; and then it did, as if bidden by the question to rise up and cast off the shell that kept it hidden. It was a sudden tumultuous movement; there was no grace with this egg like there had been for the previous three. When it made the decision to hatch: It wanted to hatch now. Luckily for those present, it was able to scream into the world red-eyed and furious. She would need to be stuffed full before her screams would stop. Silence indeed, Inali.

Inali gasped as her egg started to rock. She had just picked it up only to put it back on the table to give it some room. Looking at the little green she smiled. It was beautiful...and very loud. Pulling some meatrolls off of a nearby plate she stuffed them down the screaming flit's mouth. Chewing the flit went back to being still and silent. Never to be seen or heard. "I'll call you Ghost." That seemed appropriate didn't it? The little green didn't chirp or do anything, then suddenly it moved and climbed onto her wrist. Wrapping it's long yellowish green tail around her arm the flit chirped once then went back to being quiet. Over with Saka her egg rattled and rattled until a small flit came out. It was dark bluish, purple with silver on it. How odd? SHE LOVED IT! Picking the flit up it seemed to be curious about everything around it. Making starnge sounds even for a flit it chirped up at Hers. It was hungry. 'Korah nuzzled His, pecking at some food on his plate he'd been eating. "Thanks hun." Grabbing the piece of meat she fed the little Lazuli. "What an odd thing you are. Something entirely new! I think I'll call you Shayde."Over with Ara she was still reeling at the fact that a Bronze had impressed to her, and her Gold's son at that. Petting the golden bronze now as it nuzzled under her chin, she tried to calm Aries down. "Easy now, at least you get to keep one of your children right? I'm naming him Excalibur." She looked at the new colors as they hatched. So far the Epidote was the only new male of his kind, but there were two Lazulis here and as she looked across at another tent she saw a third hatch. "They seem to be new colors. Lazuli, and Epidote." That was Inali speaking now as Loraketh relayed information from the flits. "Something is defintely strange in Trelis. First the dragons, now this. What's next? Whers?"There wasn't time to reply though because soon more eggs were hatching, this time the Bipedy, Bopedy Boo egg was first to hatch. Out crept a green, shaking its head. Each time it turned its hide seemed to change color. First bright then middle, then dark green. On and on it went all the way to her tail tip as if she couldn't decide how to look. She spread her wings, shaking off the goo and looking around. Deciding it was probably her turn to choose her partner the green got up and started to walk back and forth. First she went to the right, then the left. Then she stood on her hind legs and chirped, flapping her wings. The hide glistened and changed hues again in the sunlight. What to do, what to do? How to keep them guessing? Running toward one person the green quickly changed direction and skidded to a stop in front of another. YOU! She chirped as she gazed up lovingly to A'vin. Green, Unpredictable, Bipidy, Bopedy, Boo Egg Then it was the Beauty and the Beast's turn. The giant egg rocked back and forth as if split in two it went different ways. Out tumbled a tabgle of golden limbs, but not just gold! Copper and purple two. Sitting up the two blinked. It was a set of twins! Two females about the size of a smaller to medium bronze. One was lighter in hue, the other darker. The darker twin looked out at the world, crooning sweetly while the lighter one turned on her sister and hissed. She was the queen among them! Lashing her tail she pranced around the table. She was not listening to anyone and she defiantly hissed at her Golden mother and flicked her wings. She wouldn't even listen to her! She was an Ametrine after all, a beautiful sub-queen. Though her sister was one too, she didn't care. It was she that was the important one! Rounding on Iirla she stood proudly. This one would do, if only she knew her place. The Ametrine trilled and fluttered her shining wings as she reached out to Iirla's mind. She was Hers! Hers would come and feed and serve this beautiful, defiant queen now! Ametrine, Defiant, Beauty and the Beast Egg The darker of the two twins now was free to go on her way. She didn't have that bossy, horrible sister of hers. Though she supposed that the lighter sibling wasn't really horrible. She was just independant and outgoing. No, she was the more poised and proper of the two. This SUB-queen didn't think herself more than she actually was. She was a dependable thing, petite for her larger size and gentle as a kitten. Walking with a careful grace to Naira she chirped softly. This one was Hers. (Ooc: they both are Sub-Queens but the defiant sister doesn't believe she's a SUB. The dependable sister however is quite aware that she's not a Gold xD) Ametrine, Dependable, Beauty and the Beast Egg At that there was another twitch in the tiny egg. It was the smallest of the bunch and with a quick little burst the thing inside trilled out at the world. It was white, entirely so and shook its wings. Smaller than the Lazulis who had hatched before it he, for that's what the genderless flit identified as, tucked his tail around his legs. Where was His? Cocking his head to the side the little flit looked around. He had come from the Littlest Dwarf Egg, and surely he was as his name described. Trilling cheerfully as his eyes sought out another white shape he sped along to Seth. Oh this was His! Flinging himself toward the White Dragon the White Firelizard crooned. White, Cheerful, The Littlest Dwarf Egg
