‘I won’t get in trouble, Kayath’ J’dol replied to the worried thoughts of his young Topaz. The topaz paced nervously around the stall that a shirtless J’dol had almost finished setting up. The weyrlings had, of course, been given the day off to enjoy the gather, and what better way than to set up a kissing booth! He was aware of the rules that weyrlings had to follow, which was a total shame. Though, as much as he wanted to ‘play around’ with others, he didn’t want Kayath to be lost, so he would wait, for now at least. They hadn’t mentioned anything about kissing, however, so he doubted it would have any negative effects on his dear dragonet. ’You know love, you could open one too.’
The topaz stopped her pacing. Her? Open a kissing booth? She crooned, it would be fun and everyone would get to come and fawn over her as they were supposed to. Yes, she liked this idea! Jaks chuckled as he finished putting up the sign for his booth, which now contained a note about Kayath. “Alright Kayath, let’s start this thing!” The topaz bugled happily, her wings fanning out as she pranced about. She lifted her head to the air.
Come one come all! She sent out to the minds of the nearby humans, J’dolMine has opened up a kissing booth! First customer is free! She then changed her focus to the various dragons that were hanging around the ‘bowl. All you handsome boys want to meet a real lady don’t youuuu? Come down and see ME cuties~ I’ll make it worth your tiiiime!
Jaks laughed at the topaz, she really was so similar to him and he loved her all the more for it. He looked up at the sky as he waited for customers, watching the aerial display keenly, looking forward to the day he would get to do something like that as well. He noticed the weyrlingmaster’s dragon Avirith was one of the dragons flying and waved, though he doubted they would see him. ’Now we play the waiting game love. He looked back down at the various riders, handlers, and weyrfolk that were milling around the various stalls. He leaned against his stall and winked at someone who looked his way.
"Who wants a kiss~"

Oh AraMine. There's something you should probably see Mine. The green laughed inside Hers' mind, the sound soft and rolling. Blinking confused, Ara shook her head and let her dragon fly down to the place where a weyrling had set up a stall. She knew it was a weyrling from Avirith, though it wasn't until she saw the metallic orange hide that she recognized it as Kayath and J'dol. "Hello you two. Nice to see that you opened a booth." Ara smiled at the older boy. This was a bit odd.
She still felt weird since she was the same age or younger than the weyrlings mostly at 17 turns, however the rider knew she outranked them. Even the two sub-queens since they were still only dragonets. Avirith settled down next to the booth and crooned a greeting to Kayath. Hello there Little One. How are you fairing today? The green herself was glowing slightly, though the fact had completely gone past Ara's mind.
It was at that moment that Ara recognized exactly what this booth was. Staring at J'dol's shirtless body, the rider tried to hide the blush that covered her face. "Umm...you shouldn't be.....I mean not that there's techniquely anything wrong with kissing but.....umm....." A bit of help? The rider glanced sideways at her green. Oh come now Mine, like you didn't kiss a boy or two while I was growing up? The green crooned in Hers mind. It had been an interesting experience for the dragonet, but not dangerous. Feelings weren't so involved then, it was feeling overload not the act that was so dangerous.

Kayath preened as an adorable blue flew overhead, hoping to catch his attention, though it seemed she failed miserably. J’dolMiiiiiiine, they’re ignoring me! How could they! Am I not shiny enough?!?! YOU SHOULD HAVE OILED ME MORE! She flailed a bit while she rambled, looking rather amusing to J’dol, who lazily tried to calm her down. Kayath hunny, just give it time, soon the sun will glint marvelously off your beautiful hide and all the boys will come flocking. She grumbled, turning around and strutting a bit to make herself happier. Suddenly she trilled happily at an approaching form. Mine! Avirith and Hers are coming. J’dol perked up as the weyrlingmaster came up to them, and it appeared she hadn’t yet noticed what it was exactly that the young rider was selling.
“Hey Ara, Avirith, what brings you down here?” He had to admit that Ara’s age was as weird to him as it was to her. Jaks was older than her, after all, though in the world of riders that mattered little. She outranked him and that was that. He was glad she was close to his age though. Having an old bat for a teacher would have been a total bore, nothing attractive to look at instead of paying attention to the lessons. Kayath crooned at her superior, rather liking the older green. Hello Avirith, I am quite well. Mine is taking good care of me. You are also looking well. I saw you in the sky, it was lovely. Lovely, of course, not beautiful, since only Kayath would be beautiful in the sky… when she finally got to that point.
J’dol flexed his lightly muscular chest as he noticed the young woman staring, rather amused that someone of her position was so easy to fluster. He shrugged off her worried words, not caring in the least that he shouldn’t be doing it, because let’s face it, he was doing it. He leaned forward lazily, placing himself over the booth’s ledge and giving off a real good look at his sun kissed skin.
“Come now teach, live it a little. Haven’t you ever wanted to try the elusive student teacher thing?” He winked at her, his voice dropping to a seductive tone, “You know… you’d be my first customer. It would make my day.” He smirked and pointed up at the booth’s sign, “First customer gets a kiss for free. It’s a once in a lifetime offer.”

The green rider choked as she heard J'dol's comment about student/teacher relations. "I...umm..." She couldn't exactly tell him about S'bel now could she? It wasn't like they had ever done anything inapropriate but she had the hugest crush on the bronzerider since she was a weyrling. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Ara bit her lip then let it go narrowing her eyes. "That would be entirely inapropriate and...ummm.....yeah, so there I can't." Gulping the greenrider doubted she was saying anything that was convincing.
Avirith crooned in return to the little Topaz's thoughts. Of course I was wonderful Kayath. I dance, it is what I do! You will too one day, you'll see. Though you'll always have me to contend with dear. However being the first of your color surely will flock many males to you. Flicking her darker wings against her pale hide, Avirith looked up into the sky. It was wonderful being up there and her wings ached to go again. However she would stop for now, besides Hers wanted to get Aries and the eggs soon.

Jaks stood up, he hand jumping to his chest as if grasping for his heart.
“Oh Ara! You have broken my heart! Oh woe is me…” He flung a hand up to his head, as if beginning to faint. “To think a friendly, innocent kiss at a simple little booth would be inappropriate. It hurts me, dear Ara. It hurts me deeply.” He straightened up then, coming around the booth to lean lazily against the side of the booth. “You know what would fix my pain? A nice little kiss!” Then an idea struck him. “If you’re scared, I can always kiss you, you know.”
Kayath listened intently to her teacher, dreaming of the day she would get to fly, though she warbled lightly at the challenge. Just you wait, Avirith, I will leave you in the dust once I get to fly! She then spoke only to J’dol, I will out fly her, won’t I Mine?. J’dol sent back the thought that she would, without a doubt, out fly everyone. Kayath sent back her love for him, before trilling and preening at Avirith’s complement. I do hope so. They should flock to me and praise me, don’t you think? I will be a star!

Oh surely you will be the brightest star in the sky Kayath. Avirith crooned to the young dragoness. She didn't necessarily believe it herself, but if it made the Topaz happy why not? Glancing over at Hers with swirling eyes, Avirith moved to nudge the rider forward a bit. Have some fun Mine. Don't be so insecure all the time. Looking at J'dol, Avirith cocked her head. In the light it glowed softly. Was that just her rider's imagination though or was it real?
Either way Ara wanted to sharding kill that dragoness. In all this time no one could come to save poor little Alyara from her fate could they? Was she giving in to this weyrling so easily? Shards no! The rider had half the mind to slap the older boy for this behavior. Of course she didn't though. Avirith was right when she said Ara was insecure and the rider, despite wanting to stand up for herself, couldn't even begin to think of how. The only thing worse than this was S'bel seeing her dancing and singing in the forest.
Oh and what the site that was! You were blushing so hard Mine. Poor AraMine, such bad luck with the males. Can't even understand when she's being chased, let alone decide any to choose. Crooning, the green fluttered her wings and purred practically when Ara narrowed her eyes and glared back in response. "You can't sharding keep you mind shut can you, you over grown flit!?!" I resent that Mine! I am not a flit like that thing you call a Queen. Hissing, the dragoness flared her wings out and lashed her tail upsetting a stand of fruit nearby. "Sorry." The rider called out to the old woman who only snorted and began to re-do her display.

Kayath was indeed happy about her teacher’s comment, glad the green agreed that she, Princess Kayath, would be the brightest, most wonderful dragon to ever grace the sky with her presence. She fluttered her wings and she posed for an imaginary audience, not noticing at all that Avirith had turned her attention to her rider. Neither Kayath or J’dol, both inexperienced in the ways of dragons, took any notice of the light glow of the green’s hide. To them, she just seemed well oiled.
J’dol smirked as he waited for a response. He felt like he was getting close, she looked as if she was thinking about it, but then her sharding green had to go and knock over a nearby stand, effectively ending any thought of kissing in his teacher’s head. Then again, he had no idea whether it had been a planned escape tactic or not. Well, if she thought she was getting out of it that easy than she was sorely mistaken.
He moved towards her quietly as she was occupied with Avirith and the old lady at the destroyed stand, hoping she wouldn’t notice his approach until it was too late. Well, whether she turned around or not he had his plan. Reaching her, a smirk still evident in his smile, he moved to place his hand on her shoulder and leaned in close.
“You at least owe me a dance tonight, Ara,” He spoke quietly, his voice deep and low, “For breaking my heart.” Yes, if he had his way, a dance while slightly intoxicated would be all it took to get that darn kiss!

Ara jumped as the weyrling crept around behind her. He was incredibly close to her, and she felt a blush rising on her cheeks. Oh Faranth why did she have to be his teacher! Wait, bad thoughts anyway, he was a weyrling after all. That wasn't aloud! Shaking herself mentally, Ara backed away. "Sure thing." Of course she was sure that she'd be no where near him for the rest of the gather! Turning away from him, Ara gulped and shivered slightly. "Come on Avirith. Time to get Aries and her eggs...she's not going to be happy about that." Oh please don't invi.... You and Yours should stop by and take an egg you know Kayath. It would be nice for you to maybe have a friend to oil that beautiful hide of yours.

He was pleased, more pleased than he had expected he would be when his tactic worked out. Chuckling as he noticed the blush spread across her cheeks. She really was too much fun to mess with, and he wasn’t even being as indecent as he normally was, after all a dance was completely innocent. He let her back away, knowing he needed to play it slow with her if he wanted to get what he wanted. He had a feeling, based on how quickly she agreed, that it wasn’t going to be as easy as it appeared.
“I’m looking forward to it.” He replied, then to see if he could hook her into it, “I’m glad I have just an honourable, trustworthy woman as my teacher.” If she avoided him now, she would be breaking that ‘trust’ in her that he had just mentioned having. She, such an important person to the young weyrlings, wouldn’t break her word to them, now would she? He wondered if she would avoid him, and with how big the gather was, if she tried it would likely be impossible to track her down. Then her dragon, her wonderful, helpful dragon, gave him the excuse he needed. Kayath rumbled her thanks to Avirith for the suggestion.
Did you hear that Mine? She is sooo right! We need an egg to help with my hide! Not that you don’t do a wonderful job J’dol, but imagine how shiny I would be with another set of claws helping! Oh we must go! Well, he didn’t particularly want another flit, since Bit was trouble enough at times, but the topaz was right, a second set of claws helping him oil would be nice, especially with how fast Kayath was growing.
“We would love to stop by, thanks for the invite.” He said aloud, then added with a wink, “Keep an eye out for me teach.”
