Jaks, now officially J’dol, glanced guiltily at R’xth as he and the little blue made their way to the food tables. It’s not my fault he wasn’t good enough for me. He wouldn’t have gotten hurt he had not been in the way. Jaks scratched an eyeridge, wondering if things would have been different if the blue had moved sooner, or would Mideth simply have become the target of the topaz’s frustration instead. Well, regardless of the injury, the new pair was coping just fine.
“Stay here Kayath, I’ll be right back.” J’dol mumbled quickly as he ripped some cloth from his robes and ran towards to the injured weyrling. But J’dolMine! Look at how Mideth ignores me so! How cruel! The topaz complained as she watched Hers, Why must you help such a rude little male? She ruffled her wings in annoyance as Hers went about giving his attention to someone else. I’m being polite! He slowed as he neared the target.
“You know, blood isn’t really your colour.” He said somewhat mockingly to R’xth. He held up his makeshift bandage, “It's not much, but want me to patch you up?” He eyed the weyrling curiously, wondering if he would accept the help. Well, Jaks was no healer, nor did he particularly care whether the help was accepted or not. He was offering out of obligation, since it was His Kayath that had caused the injury, and if the boy allowed it, J’dol would wrap the makeshift bandage as best he could. Kayath moved over to the blue, grumbling in annoyance. I’m sorry for yours. She huffed, hoping the apology would make Hers hurry up and come back to her.
Alas, attention was not to be hers at the moment, as more eggs were cracking and inevitably drawing attention. Kayath crooned excitedly as a bronze hatched, surely HE would give her the love and attention she so craved. Yet, instead of even finding a human, he went to one of the other hatching eggs, as if protecting it. The little green hatchling that soon came forth did not look happy about the protective attention of her bronze brother. Silly little green Kayath mused, Why wouldn’t she want that attention. Look how handsome he is! If I were her, I would be loving it. In fact, he should leave her and come to me. I will show him the proper gratitude! Jaks merely chuckled, grinning as the two hatchling impressed theirs.

(Ooc: This is my surprise candi, there are now three hatchlings left. They are being given out via a guessing game if you're interested.) No one seemed to notice as a young man, no still boy, moved silently in the shadows. Coming from the Northern Hold of Ruatha, the boy had snuck onto a ship to get here to Trelis. He didn't want to be home anymore. All that waited for him there was...ick, and arranged marriage. Shaking his head, the blonde sighed and turned his green eyes on the hatching. He'd arrived just in time for the new colors to hatch. What a strange thing, and what would the Northern and Southern Weyrs think? Moving in the shadows, the boy rubbed his arm where he had been leaning against. He didn't dare move, he wasn't supposed to be here technquely, but did that mean he couldn't watch? Blinking his eyes to clear his vision, the boy watched as the few eggs on the sands were observed by their mother. The gold crooned as she nudged one egg slightly. Would any of them hatch? Holding his breath, the boy wished and hoped until...there! A slight twitch in the Green Swirl egg made it move onto its side. Bouncing a bit, the egg suddenly stopped as it seemed to realize how much attention it was bringing. It didn't want attention though! Still, the little crack that showed it light made the unhatched dragon try again. Out slipped a pale form. It was a brown with a tannish hide marked by pale brown spots and stripes. It had a creamy brown color on its underside too, and all together it had the look of a jungle cat. Shaking its head, the brown realized it had in deed been spotted, and flung itself toward the Pink Heart egg. Unhappy that it had been woken up, the egg started to shake and split in two revealing another green. It was a bit bluish in color, but a green nonetheless, and the female looked up at the brown. Wouldn't he love her and spend time with her?!? She was so very lonely. Would the brown even like her? Oh Faranth, what if he didn't! Crying out, the green lunged for the brown, making the larger dragonet warble unhappy. He didn't want attention! Confused, the two played a game of cat and mouse until the brown looked at the weyrlings. So happy they all seemed, so wonderful those pink things must be......squeaking, the brown ducked down his head. Red thing looked scary! He had bitten His! Running away, the brown dragonet went over to the shadows, leaving the poor green by herself on the sands. Crying pitifully, she sheilded herself with her dark wings. Wouldn't anyone want her?!? The hiding boy in the meantime felt bad for the green hatchling, but that couldn't be fixed. He didn't dare move from the shadows for a mere second. Unfortunately, the brown had stumbled across the boy and sniffed tentively at his clothes. What was he doing here? Was he hiding from the red dragonet too? Turning rainbow eyes to the hidden boy, the brown crooned happily. 32 feet at full growth Egg- Green Swirl Egg Based On- Clouded Leopard Impressed to- N'kron Personality- Shy, Fearful, Timid, Skittish, Uncertain, Withdrawn, "Wall-Flower" Color- Body- cc853fMarkings- 855e42Markings/Underside- e5c4a4Ummm...I'm sorry N'kronMine, but your Ildardeth is hungry. Everyone is so big and scary too. I don't like that red thing for instance over there...he seems mean. He even hurt His. I would never hurt you N'kron, but why were you hiding from me Mine? You weren't anywhere! Then I find you here in the shadows?!? Why were you not out there for me to find Mine?Mouth open, the boy blinked. "You've got to be kidding me." Nikron-no-N'kron now, shook his head. He came here to escape his fiance that his father had matched him with...and he got a sharding dragon. Reaching down to rubb Ildardeth's eye-ridges, the boy finally found his voice. "No Ildardeth. I wasn't hiding from you, just everyone else." Crooning, the brown nodded his head. In that case Mine, I think we're perfect! We can hide together....once I have food. The green was beside herself still crying on the sands. Upset that no one seemed to want her, she didn't notice as another egg, the Protective Warmth egg, started to rock. This one cracked until a blue wingspur poked out of the shell. Turning around, the green crooned happily. Maybe this one would want her!

T'rain sat on Stallorth's large, bronze leg, and watched the hatching. He really didn't know what to say about the strange new hatchings. He lifted his hand, and scratched his head as he pondered what Lore said about the new colors. He shook his head, his short brown hair bouncing lightly around his head with the motion. What did Loraketh just say?! Stallorth crooned to His when he heard T'rian's voice. T'rian looked at Inali with a very shocked look on his face. If his ears weren't failing him, which they shouldn't be, he would swear that the female dragon had just implied that Inali was pregnant.
T'rianMine, please, calm down. Stallorth's strong voice was only audible to His, his mate, and Hers. It was obvious to most that the Weyrwoman was with child, how His missed that was beyond the bronze dragon. T'rian glared at his dragon, then snapped his attention back to Inali. Alright, I'll calm down. But you have some explaining to do my dear. Could you really blame him for being suprised? He found out that the love of his life was pregnant through her dragon. When was I supposed to find out? The mental question was to his dragon who was now occuping himself with something else.

Akira smiled and was glad that more of the eggs hatched. Come on Yazhith, let's go. You still need to be oiled remember? She was glad that at the mention of being oiled, the hyper active green turned from her insistant attempts to get her brown brother to play, and happily trotted off beside Akira. The girl shook her head, and was glad that her dragonet was distracted, even if it was only temperary.
Akira reached out, and grabbed one of the rags that had been set aside for the newly impressed candidates to oil their dragonets with. She made sure that the rag had plenty of oil on it and began oiling Yazhith's green hide. The green hatchling began to pur when she felt Hers oiling her dirty, itchy hide. My wings AkiraMine! The green's hyper voice had the girl smiling as she starting oiling Yazhith's wings. Once her wings were taken care of, Yazhith made sure that Hers oiled every part of her hide, that way she would be shining, and beautiful.

N'ck laughed as he watched the white dragonet devour chunk, after chunk of meat. You are a bloody mess Kicheth. He smiled, and wipped the white dragon's mouth off with a clean rag, and made sure that there was no more blood left on Kicheth's white mouth. N'ckMine, I would like to be oiled now. N'ck nodded and set aside the empty bucket. The two of them moved over to where the oil was, and N'ck grabbed an oily rag, and went to work.
After making N'ck stop what he was doing several times, Kicheth was finally satisfied with his now clean, and shiny hide. N'ck nodded and smiled as he looked his white over. He couldn't remember if white dragon's could breath fire, but that didn't stop him from imagining what it would be like to fly through the skies with his life-mate. N'ckMine when we fly we will own the skies. That we will Kicheth. N'ck shook his head as he spoke. The little white did have a lot of personality, and he liked that.

R’xth looked up as a weyrling, who’s name he couldn’t remember, walked up to him with a bit of cloth in his hands and looking a little bit apologetic. That one’s name is J’dol, the topaz sister’s bonded. Mideth’s strong, easy flowing voice entered the young mans mind, earning him a nice scratch along an eyeridge. The dark blue seemed content, for the time being at least, to chew the globs of flesh offered by his chosen partner. Piece by bloodied piece the meat vanished into his seemingly bottomless pit of a stomach. That was until the bonded pair began to approach His.
A low, steady rumble began to build in the blues throat as he turned to eye the young topaz. It’s okay, Mideth. Let’s see what they want before you cause a ruckus on the Sands. [/b] Ry cautioned his companion, offering the boy a friendly smile in greeting. As you wish, R’xthMine. I will not hesitate this time though. “Thanks for the offer, no need to apologize though. I suppose she was just wanting me out of the way and I didn’t move fast enough for her.” True, he was slightly agitated at being used as the hatchlings scratching post but no matter how aggravated the lad might have been he knew, deep down under the layers of his uncertainty of dragons, that he couldn’t willingly hold a grudge. The lad gingerly uncovered his wounded shoulder and side, allowing the weyrling to offer his help, grimacing as he tightened the bandage awkwardly around his shoulder . Wiping his bloodied hand on his robes, Ry turned his attention back to the Hatching and just in time to see three more dragonets, a bronze, brown and a little green, enter the world and Impress. Mideth in the meantime had finished what was left in the bucket and now sat, gazing at the female. He will survive. This setback wont prevent us from growing strong. Turning from the pair, the dark hatchling curiously watched the antics of the small green who seemed to be cowering on the Sands. [/center]

N'kron supposed it was time to introduce himself to all the others. Nudging Ildardeth's side, the weyrling shook his head. Right now, that was the last thing he wanted to do. On the sands, the green and blue hatchlings were still waiting around. Trying to find Theirs, and Loraketh hissed protectively at the brown pair. She never saw him come in, and that little fact must have been unsettling to the golden mother. Nuzzling his rider's side, Ildardeth made it clear to his mother that this was his choice.
N'kron had to sigh though. It wasn't his. He didn't want to be a rider. He just wanted to get away from that crazy fiance of his. Nothing seemed to ever be his choice anymore. So, mabye, just maybe this was for the best? If not Mine, we can just hide! You and your Ildardeth will hide! Ducking playfully behind His' legs, the leopard marked brown crooned happily. Yeah...great idea buddy. Except your starving, even I can feel it. Rolling his head a bit to the left, Ildardeth warbled as if amused. Of course you can feel it N'kronMine! I am yours and you are Mine!
Jumping around now that he wasn't so scared of the sands, the brown didn't watch his footing and soon took a tumble. Looking up, the weyrling sighed yet again and locked eyes with the blue weyrling and topaz weyrling in front of him. "Sorry, I guess he hasn't gotten his walking down yet." There, apology, now time to move on. Except the buckets were right here being given out by the weyrling master. So, unfortunately that meant they couldn't leave the two boys.
Ildardeth could only focus on the food in front of him though. Digging his feet into the warm sand, the hatchling dove into the bucket to start gobbling down the cuts of wherry meat. "Hey you! Slow down why don't you?" Crooning, the dragon slowed down, shifting his eyes from one weyrling pair to another. He may not be outwardly looking like it, but he was still plenty worried and frightened. Ildardeth would try though, for His he would try his hardest to be brave!
----------------
Inali in the meantime was having trouble controling her gold. Why is there someone here that I didn't know about My Lady! Furious, the gold thrashed her tail and snapped her teeth. "I don't know Lore. Calm down please, you're upsetting those two." Poining in the direction of the green and blue hatchlings that had still not found one, Inali hoped that their mother's outrage wouldn't scare them between. With that thought, Loraketh stopped immediately. I'm sorry, was I acting bad again? Sighing, Inali ignored her gold for her weyrmate's question instead.
"Well..ummm....I..." Snorting, Loraketh forgot the boy and his brown and turned to Stallorth's rider. Do I have to spell it out for you Stallorth's Own? When a girl's dragon rises, and a boy's dragon catches her.....and well, the two of you didn't really stop there either did you? Warbling in an amused voice, Inali was incredibly happy that only she and her weyrmate and Tor's dragon could hear the gold. "Lore...please shut up now for Faranth's sake!" Snorting, the gold turned back to urge her two children to hatch and for the last egg to break.
That left Inali to look at T'rian and face the Weyrleader alone. "Yeah....I do suppose I have something to tell you. I just didn't want to in case...well...in case it didn't work out." How could she tell him that she had worried he would leave soon after gaining the position. No one really knew that Inali was that insecure. "You're going to be a father Tor."
