Candidates-
1) Candidates will not all impress dragons generally. The only exception is if there are just enough candidates for all the eggs planned to hatch. Even this is rare though since even if we have a clutch of 25 eggs, and exactly 25 candidates, generally not all of the eggs will hatch/impress. This is especially in the case of whers.
2) Candidates hoping to impress must attend at least 1 of the lessons, and have been rpd in one non-lesson thread. Yes, touching the eggs does count as a lesson.
3) On the topic of touching eggs, we will have touchings here, especially since Loraketh and the others are fairly tame. However, if any eggs are threatened, no matter what type they are, there will be consequences. Prepare for your candidate to get injured or snapped at.
4) Candidates cannot be made a week from when the hatching will occur. By this time, the staff and members hosting the hatching should already have in mind who is impressing and who isn't. The other reason is that a lot of sites have a sudden influx of candidates a week before the hatching. This really doesn't allow everyone to see how the candidate acts when rpd, and can result in bad matchings with hatchlings. The only exception to this rule is if a candidate is made purposefully to be killed. Since they aren't going to live long anyway, it doesn't matter if we don't have as much time to watch them.
Hatchings-
1) IC, whenever your candidate goes to a hatching they must have the following.....
-the white candidate robe
-the sandals that are worn on the hatching sands
-a knife in the case of whers
-NO FIRELIZARDS OR ANY OTHER PET ON THE SANDS....I've never known a mother dragon or wher that enjoys these creatures near their eggs. Candidates are usually bothersome enough.
2) Again, to be eligible for impressing, the candidate must have been at 1 lesson at least. The touching counts as a lesson, but it is not mandatory for the candidates to be at.....though really IC they should have been there.
3) If there is a fight on the sands between hatchlings, stay out of their way. Do not try and be a hero and break up the fight....it will either get your candidate seriously maimed by the hatchlings or by a very angry mother. Queens will break up fights. If you REALLY want to, ask a staff member first though. Especially if you plan to get your candidate injured, this is the only exception.
4) There is a table at the edge of the hatching sands with oil, rags, and buckets of meat for the hatchlings. This is where impressed candidates should head to, unless they are injured and unable to walk.
5) Yes, we will try to have feasts after the hatchings.
Weyrlings/Wherlings-
1) Both of these must attend about 2/3 of the lessons to graduate. For instance, in a situation where there are 6 lessons, 4 must be attended to graduate with your group. In the case of Sub-Queens and Queens, they must attend at least 2 of the lessons given for Queenlets.
2) Weyrlings/Wherlings can have relationships, however keep them very clean. Too much intimacy can distress a dragonet or wheret and make them between, or damage them mentally. Once they are passed 6 months old though, you can be more lenient with the relationships, again just try to keep it PG. Once they're a turn old, it's whatever. By this age riders of female dragons especially usually are encourage by other riders of female dragons to pick out a rider or a male they would like to "hang onto" for their dragoness' first flight.
