-A Gold's Promise- With the death of Weyrwoman Sahelli and the betweening of Senior Queen Mivinth, the position of new Weyrwoman went to the first Gold to rise. This was Loraketh, the younger of the two Queens, bonded to 19 turn old Inali. Because of their younger age, the Weyr holds its breath to see how the new Weyrwoman and Senior Queen handle their positions. So far, they have done well, and now Loraketh's first clutch hardens on the Hatching Sands. With a total of 15 eggs, the clutch doesn't hold a Queen egg. Yet, the weyrfolk are still intrigued by something about the clutch. Two large eggs are guarded closely by the Gold, yet neither has the luster of an egg of the mother's color. What does it mean, and what will come of it? Only time and the hot sands can tell....
-Salt and Pepper- The Huntyres were a native avian species found around Trelis Weyr at the time of The Great Fall Back. Made up of three colors, two males and one female, the species were discovered to bond much the same way that firelizards did. Now, they are a popular and common sight around Trelis and its two holds. Currently, the Weyrwoman Inali also has a Forest Huntyre clutching. Of course all the weyrfolk know of Pepper though, the protective and a bit scary female. Still, the temptation of trying to impress one of her children plagues the minds of many. Who will step up to try......

The Tale of Three: With Loraketh's eggs hatched, three new colors have been exposed to Pern. The two sub-queen colors and sub-king are looked upon in a strange mixture of awe and fear. Where the Topaz dragon and Obsidian Dragon together seem to equal the temperament of a normal Gold, the Garnet's bloodthirsty appetite has much of the world worried. In Trelis, the three colors are mostly seen as genetic mistakes. Things that will never happen again in the clutches to come. Someone else knows differently though....
The Burned Gather: Spring Gather on The Island is supposed to be a tine of rejoice and happiness. It started off that way, with many people from all over flocking to Trelis Weyr. It was noted however, that much of the Northern and Southern Riders did not participate. Still, the festivities continued. This included the hatching of firelizard eggs, where once again Trelis was shocked to find new colors appearing. This time it was a sub-queen and king, but also a new female fighter. Puzzling over these new ranks, the gather sat down to a meal.....and was flames by a wing of dragons suddenly appearing. They came as and went quickly, only leaving after the combined forces of the Queens and young Sub-Queens sent them away. Broken, the Weyr trembles.
A mystery rider: (Ooc event) After the destruction and chaos of the Spring Gather, a blue rider came out of the shadows to deliver a cryptic warning. No one really understood though, and many have already forgotten him. He still is there though. Waiting in the shadows....
A Golden Clutch: With the mating flight of Maelath, the JuniorQueen, happening so soon after the gather, it served as both a scale-goat and new reason to be afraid. As the Gold grew egg heavy, Trelis shut down anyone visiting from other Weyrs or Holds. Candidates were still brought in, but strangely no one outside of the Island noticed. Their attention was focused elsewhere it seemed. Life continues though, and Maelath's clutch soon was laid on the sands. Among the twenty-three eggs is a Gold Egg. The Weyr celebrates this success of Junior Weyrwoman Iskra and Junior Weyrleader S'val.
Theif in the night: Someone is here though. While the Weyr is high off of the idea of a new Queen, they don't realize the danger right there among them. They're coming closer, and they're target has been sighted.

The Hidden Gem:
The children stolen from Trelis Weyr sent a small wing in action. T'rian and a few other riders left for Ista Weyr after they learned who was the culprit, and are there with a vengeance. Talking to the Weyrleader though, they discover that even the old man does not know where the children are. In the mean time, a hidden Obsidian on a nearby island to Ista has started the hatching song. Her first clutch needs candidates, and candidatemaster Panille chanced it. She brought a select few over to the little hide-away, no telling what will happen next....
The Journey Home:
Over the next sevenday, plans were made to bring the weyrlings clutched and hatched by the hidden Obsidian home. Panille of Green Iliath came with them, and was soon named their weyrling master. It seemed that the group was just in time to witness Gold Maelath's clutch hatching as well, and they welcomed a new Topaz and Gold dragoness into the world as well as many other healthy dragonets. Shortly after though, Junior Weyrwoman Iskra announced that she was leaving Trelis Weyr for the safety of her dragon and child.
The Calm Before The Storm/The Wreckage We Saw After:
After that, things seemed fairly okay. They were stressed yes, but even without an active Junior Weyrwoman, Trelis survived. Classes continued, and wings kept drilling pushed by the redstar looming in the distance. After the Fall Gathering though, everything would change. A large storm hit The Island closest to Sollace Hold. The wreckage found in the morning was devastating, and refugees flocked to the Weyr for comfort and shelter. It was here that two green whers ran and clutched, bringing not only new wherets into the world, but new colors as well. The huntyres too found other hues in their clutches, though these were said to be before seen colors that just had not been bred yet in captivity.
The Last Resort:
Weyrwoman Inali, faced with the fact that The Island had too few workers to repair Sollace after a new hold had been commissioned, has gone South to Southern Weyr. Her plan was to stay here three days. She has been gone for a sevenday and a half already, and is said to have food poisoning. Something smells fishy here, and many fear it has something to do with the Kings and Sub-Kings of Trelis getting antsy. Didn't someone say before she left that they were worried about Loraketh's time coming closer....

The Plot to beat all Plots:
What Inali didn't know though was that Southern Weyr wanted some of Trelis' new bloodlines in their wings. To have more clutters was to have more power during threadfall, and with the Red Star coming ever closer, that was a dire need. The Southern Weyrwoman, with the help of her riders, held Inali back from returning to Trelis, until after two and a half weeks in the hot Southern sun, Loraketh rose for the second time. Trelis males betweened to Southern to give chase and protect their Queen, but angered and irritated at the circumstances, Loraketh chose a Southern Brown.
The Darker Side:
It was if the Gold changed overnight. Where there was once a fair and gentle mother, an angered and paranoid creature took Loraketh's place. Ar'rex of Brown Sithorath was named the new Weyrleader, and with that came many changes. Over time, the weyrlings and riders fought against the changes the Southerners wanted to bring. Ar'rex knew he only had to hold out till Loraketh's prized egg hatched though, then he'd have his Sub-Queen to transfer home.
The Children's Crusade:
The weyrlings wouldn't have it! They fought back, making the southern riders' lives miserable along with a few select adult riders. By the time Loraketh's clutch was hardened, Ar'rex had been dealt the final blow when Panille's green Iliath rose and caused suspicion amongst the southern browns. The Weyrleader stole the egg thought to hold a Sub-Queen. They did not get far though and with the help of the left over Southern transfers, the egg was returned to Loraketh.
The Unthinkable Happenstance:
At the Gold's second hatching the unthinkable happened. New colors came once more, and a glowing dragonet tore through the candidates maiming many and killing one after he impressed to her twin. Backlight Odilyth was one thing Trelisnever saw coming, yet the Queen who mothered her was unable to put the dragonet down. Her Obsidian sister however brought vengeance upon the smaller dragonet, but not before Odilyth fled to her rider. What was most odd, was that Loraketh had lied. The egg thought to hold a Sub-Queen, held a new King. It was The Warrior Egg that held the newest Queenlet. At the end there was further surprise when a female blue hatched and impressed as well.
Not all that glitters is Gold:
It was at the end of the hatching that an invited guest appeared. Ssawla of Gold Kizzuth came at the call of Inali to help fill in the spot of Junior Weyrwoman until Iirla and Izanycorth were graduated. The problem is, Ssawla doesn't seem to want to go anywhere...
