Queen AppearanceGolds can range from the common shining hue, to an aged, rustic orange gold. They are the largest dragon in the Weyr, and as such have a good amount of bulk. Often though, Golds are well proportioned so that they still appear to be lithe and beautiful. Golds also always hold themselves regally and with pride. PersonalityGolds are the Queens of the Weyr and they let everyone else know it. Sometimes this is through aggression, but even just the regal demeanor of a Gold can prove their place. Queen's are not known to be patient, though some are more motherly and caring than others. It's not a good idea to make a Gold angry with you, it may just be the last thing you do. Also, all dragons listen to the Queens of the Weyr, especially the Senior Queen. It is not something they can resist. ImpressionMales - 1%, Females 99% *If it seems good for plot purposes, and there is the right personality in a boy, one could be chosen. A poll would be conducted through the community first.ClutchingGolds begin maturing between 26-30 months of age and can rise up to twice a Turn after that. They may clutch between 12 - 38 eggs. They can clutch all colours of the spectrum. Size45 - 50 Feet Feet (9 - 10 Feet at hatching)

Sub-Queens AppearanceOften in the spectrum between orange and bronze, Topaz dragons are an easily spotted color. Smaller than Golds, but larger than any other color, Topaz dragons are definitely a Princess of the Weyr. Though they are large, the females somehow prove to be slender and beautiful, though not as fragile looking as their Obsidian sisters. In fact, out of any clutcher, Topaz dragons tend to be one of the bulkiest due to strong muscles. They have broad wings like a hawk as well, and though not the most agile of the dragons, they make up for it with stamina and speed. PersonalityTopaz dragons are first and foremost the Queen of the Weyr...or at least in their minds they are. Unlike the Obsidians that take their job with a quiet pride, the Topaz dragons are a loud and in-your-face color. They are all demanding and love to have attention on them at all times. In reality, this actually isn't hard to accomplish. Besides have striking hides, Topaz dragons also are very megnetic in personality. You can't help but be drawn to them. ImpressionMales - 70%, Females 30% SpecialThe reproductive abilities of topazes are not affected by firestone. OtherTrelis' first Topaz hatched from Loraketh's first clutch in Spring of Turn 197. ClutchingTopazes begin maturing between 15-22 months of age and will rise usually once a Turn after that. They may clutch between 4 - 8 eggs, though not all the eggs are viable and it is not uncommon to see only less than half hatch. A topaz cannot clutch golds or obsidians, though on rare occasion there may be an topaz egg. Size43-48 Feet Feet (8.6 - 9.6 Feet at hatching) AppearanceWhen their bright sisters are much more noticable in their brilliant oranges, yellows and bronzes, Obsidians have a much more subtle look. Mostly shades of black to dark silver, these dragons also will have marking in either purple, green or blue. However, they will only have one of those colors as markings. Their is no such thing as an Obsidian with all three. Besides their shadowy hides though, Obsidians are slender and lithe, with an almost fragile appearance in their limbs and heads. Much better at agility and acrobatics than Topaz or Golds, they lack some of the stamina of the other clutchers. This is partially because their wings are long and angled like a falcon's instead of a hawk's. PersonalityObsidian dragons tend to be prideful, but in a quiet way. They will hold their head up and be almost elitest in appearance, and yet are incredibly motherly toward others. Another thing that Obsidians often have in their personality is a love for being subtle. They are patient creatures unlike Topaz and Gold dragons, and will wait till just the right moment to make their move. One thing found in all Obsidians is opposite their bright sisters, they do not draw attention, but instead repel it. An Obsidian, despite her large size, can easily blend into the shadows and make a person forget they are around. ImpressionMales - 30%, Females 70% SpecialThe reproductive abilities of obsidians are not affected by firestone. ClutchingObsidians begin maturing between 15-22 months of age and will rise usually once a Turn after that. They may clutch between 2 - 6 eggs, though not all the eggs are viable and it is not uncommon to see only one or two hatch. An obsidian cannot clutch golds or topazes, though on rare occasion there may be an obsidian egg. OtherTrelis' first Obsidian hatched from Loraketh's first clutch in Spring of Turn 197. King AppearanceBronze dragons, like all dragons, can range immensely in colour. They often range from a light golden bronze to reddish bronzes, but also can come in a variety of brown or green tinges. Like with golds, Bronze dragons have a metallic sheen to their hides. These big boys are just that: big. Bulky and broad, they have noticeable, defined muscles and generally carry themself with pride and a little arrogance. PersonalityBronze dragons are the Kings of the Weyr. Like with the Golds they stereotypically have a regal personality. However, though this usually means they are just and fair, like with some rulers, Bronzes can be aggressive and a bit evil even. This is much less common though. Generally they are the ones to keep order when the Golds are away. Many dragons listen to Bronzes, however not all, especially not Queens. ImpressionMales - 95%, Females 5% ChasingBronzes mature any time after 12 months of age and generally chase the larger females. Occasionally, they may attempt to catch the smaller dragons as well, though they have a hard time with the acrobatic flights. Size35-44 Feet (7 - 8.8 Feet at hatching) AppearanceJades have quite a bit of bulk to their bodies, though they do not quite measure up to the sheer muscular structure of the larger bronzes. They are in between Garnets and Bronzes in size, though they are slimmer and more streamlined than both. Their hides lack the normal metallic sheen of kings, instead, they have a marbled appearance that seems to glow like stone. Their hides are a bit strange, in that they come in any base shade of green, with markings in any shade of red. PersonalityJades are Kings, and boy do they know it. Much like their Topaz sisters, Jades stereotypically are vain creatures; however, they have a strong sense of duty, even if they don't always like it. They like to consider themselves to be the knights of the Weyr. They are often chivalrous creatures that like to care for any and all females. Jades can often be big-headed and socialites as well. ImpressionMale: 85%, Female: 15% OtherTrelis' first Jade appeared in Loraketh's second clutch in Spring of Turn 198. Clutching ChasingJades mature any time after 12 months of age and like to chase any and all females. Size 34 - 42 Feet

Sub-Kings AppearanceGarnets can be a light ruby red to a dark color that is almost black. Often, they will be mixes of these colors as seen above. Unlike their Brown brothers, they are not bulky. Instead, they are deadly creatures that are very fast and slim despite their larger size. Almost snake-like, Garnets have angled heads and wings, and their tails are a bit longer than most dragons'. On top of their red hides and vicious appearance, Garnets often will have a bit of red and/or yellow in their eyes. Also, any scars they obtain, they take great pride in. Personality:Garnets are incredibly aggressive and dominant males. No one, not even a Bronze would want to get on a Garnet's bad side. They do not have any sense of justice, and will stop at nothing to harm someone once they have sighted a target. Because of this, the males are the hardest dragon to train. Their riders have to be able to reign in their bonded, though even then the dragon will often turn their violent attention to their rider. It's not uncommon for a Garnet, especially during its dragonet years, to bite at their rider. Often, this is gentle and to make a point. As they get older, their biting turns to swatting with their tails so that their rider won't get too hurt. ImpressionMales - 60%, Females - 40% SpecialDue to their aggressive natures, Garnet’s tend to test potential candidates to find one who can prove their worth. It is rare to see someone impress a garnet without obtaining an injury of some degree. OtherGarnets first began appearing in the Hidden Gem clutch at Ista in Fall of Turn 197 Chasing/Rising/ClutchingGarnets mature anywhere past 12 months of age. Garnets can chase females of any colour, though only large garnets generally stand a chance against a gold. Size33 - 40 Feet (6.6 - 8 Feet at hatching) AppearanceBrowns lack the same luster of their metallic siblings, however they do still have a bit of shining hue. Ranging from tan or cream browns, they also can be mocha, reddish, or grayish brown in color. They show bulk more than even their lither Bronze siblings. Very much like draft horses, they are sturdy and sometimes even a bit rounded or boxy. Personality:Browns are the workhorses of the Weyr. Calm and stable, browns are more intelligent than their smaller blue and green siblings. They are generally a settling source of comfort within Weyrs, and even play moderator at times. Laid back, some Browns can even be called lazy. Others however, are hard and diligent workers. ImpressionMales - 80%, Females - 20% Chasing/Rising/ClutchingBrowns mature anywhere past 12 months of age. Browns can chase females of any colour, though only large browns generally stand a chance against a gold. Size30-37 Feet (6 - 7.4 Feet at hatching)

Fighter Males AppearanceBlues are a smaller, middle weight dragon. Able to flame longer than their Green sisters, they have broad wings like a hawk's so that they can be stable during flight. Blues are also known for stamina more than acrobatic agility. However, there are smaller blues that go away from this stereo-type. In way of hide coloring, blues often are a vast array of shades and tints. They can be anywhere from soft sky blue, to the dark green blue of the ocean, to a deep plum blue. Many times, these dragons will even have a few different blues in their hide. Personality:Stereotypically, Blues are both stable in presence and mind. Blues are both stable in presence and mind. They are a calming and influential presence for their rider. Blues are less intelligent than their Brown siblings, though, they are more capable of staying on one task than their Green sisters. Blues work hard normally, though some are more lazy or even mean. ImpressionMales - 70%, Females - 30% Chasing/Rising/ClutchingBlues can reach maturity any time after 12 months of age and usually chase greens and below. Occasionally a large blue may attempt a larger female, but their lack of stamina makes this a difficult feat. Size23-32 Feet (4.6 - 6.4 Feet at hatching) AppearanceLike white dragons, Opals have a predominantly white hide; however, unlike whites, opals are larger and often have very distinguished markings in dark or bright colours. The white of thei hide may have a slight tint of colour, but most of their distinguishing appearance comes from the markings, which may consist of one or more colours. Their size range is quite broad. Some can be smaller than all but the smallest greens, but can be large enough to rival some smaller browns. Personality:Stereotypically, Opals encompase the sweet and gentle side of blue dragons. These boys take pride in their friendly natures. It is extraordinarily rare to find a mean Opal, and even rarer to see one that acts on that mean temperment. Opals tend to see the good in everything. They aren’t always too bright, but they are very curious. ImpressionMale or Female - 50/50 OtherOpals first began appearing in the Hidden Gem clutch at Ista in Fall of Turn 197. Chasing/Rising/ClutchingOpals can mature any time after 12 months of age and tend to chase greens, amethysts or gendered whites. On occasion, a large opal may try against a larger female. Size20-34 Feet (4 - 6.8 Feet at hatching) AppearanceEbonies are the smallest of all male dragons. Their hides, much like obsidians, can range from a medium grey to a dark, dark black. Unlike most dragons, their hides tend to lack the shine and brilliance of both metallics AND chromatics. They tend to have matted look and are quite dull in appearance. PersonalityEbony dragons are stereotypically shy and mysterious creatures. They are often sweet, longing dragons that are known to dream big and often space out. Some fine tune these dreams and desires into ambitions, but really they are just children looking for friends and new experiences. They are often secretive though, and absolutely abhor violence. ImpressionMales- 55%, Females- 45% OtherThe first known ebony hatched in Trelis in Loraketh's second clutch, Spring of Turn 198. ChasingEbonies mature any time after 12 months of age and chase the smaller females. Size17 - 24 Feet

Fighter Females AppearanceAs the name implies, green dragons are just that; green. Like most coloured dragons, Greens may have multiple shades of green on their hides and the hues can often include faint tints of yellow-greens or blue-greens. These ladies are wicked fast and can easily maneuver in difficult positions. They are lacking in stamina due to their small, whip-like bodies. Personality:Stereotypically, greends are incredibly flirtatious, flighty individuals. They are often able to have the energy to accomplish multiple tasks, but only the attention to do a few. Green are pretty versatile creatures, and if you can keep them on track they can accomplish almost any task given to them. Too many tasks or too much work given at a time may cause the green to lose interest in the task at hand. Greens are generally very empathetic, making them excellent search riders, and are often protective of the things they like. The period of time before rising often causes greens to become short-tempered, aggressive or more flirty; it all depends on the green. ImpressionMale or Female - 50/50 Chasing/Rising/ClutchingGreens generally begin rising between 12-15 months of age and may rise one to four times a Turn thereafter, depending on the green. Green dragons are naturally infertile and cannot clutch eggs. Size18-25 Feet (3.6 - 5 Feet at hatching) AppearanceNamed after the gemstone that shares their colour, amethyst dragons come in all manner of purples, ranging from the lighter pink-purples to red-purples to true dark purples. Like all cromatics, their hides are shiny, but lack the metallic look of kings and queens. Amethysts have a rather broad size range. They can be as small, or even smaller, than some whites, but can also rival some greens in size. Like many of the smaller colours, amethysts are lithe and agile with high manoeuvrability but low stamina. Personality:Stereotypically, amethysts are playful, sweet darlings that love nothing more than having a fun adventure or playing a game. Their memory spans are among the shortest of all dragons, which likely lends to this playful attitude. The children of the Weyr, amethysts are the dragons to look for if you need some cheering up. OtherAmethysts first appeared during the hatching at Ista, in Fall of T197 ImpressionMale or Female - 50/50 Chasing/Rising/ClutchingAmethysts generally begin rising between 12-15 months of age and may rise one to four times a Turn thereafter, depending on the amethyst. Amethyst females can clutch eggs; however, over time they become infertile due to the effects of firestone. After the first or second mating flights only, an amethyst may be able to clutch a single egg, after that the firestone has rendered them unable to clutch. It is incredibly rare for an Amethyst to clutch more than once or more than one egg. Size16-26 Feet (3.2 - 5.2 Feet at hatching)

Multi-gendered AppearanceBlacklights/Whitelights range in size, usually being similar in size to their twin. Their hides are strange things. A Blacklight's hide are always a dark, dark grey to black, whereas Whitelights have a White to extremely light grey hide. Their markigns can come in any colour, though they are always the same colour as their twin (Ie. An Amethyst blacklight will have purple markings, a blue blacklight would have blue). The name of these dragons comes from the fact that their markigns glow in the dark. PersonalityA Blacklight/ Whitelight's personality always follows the OPPOSITE of their twin's stereotypical personality. (Ie. An amethyst is generally playful and loving, but an amethyst blacklight is vicious and cruel). ImpressionImpression for Black/Whitelights is always an uncertain thing. They seem to not care about the gender of the individual so much as what they can do for them. Because of this, impression is about 50/50, even if they are the twin of a metallic or sub dragon. SpecialBlacklights and Whitelights are the product of twins only, though Whitelights are actually Obsidian and Ebony blacklights. Their hides are white because their twin's have black hides. A white's twin will be black with glowing white markings like natural light. They will generally share the gender and clutching capabilities of their twin. OtherTrelis' first Blacklight hatched from Loraketh's second clutch in Spring of Turn 198. Pern's first Whitelight *an Obsidian* hatched a season later in Telgar. Clutching/ChasingMale Blacklights tend to mature any time after 12 months of age. Females, on the other hand, mature at the same time as their twin would have (Ie. a green blacklight would mature at the same time as a green would) and rise at roughly the same rate. If their twin can clutch, female blacklights also have the ability, though they are only able to clutch one egg and one egg only the first or second time they rise. Size20 - 25 Feet (4 - 5 Feet at hatching) AppearanceWhite dragons are not always only white. Often times, they have pale shades of other colours on their hides. You will never see a white will bright, obvious markings. Their hides have a bit of a shiny look to them like most chromatic dragons, though it lacks the metallic sheen of the large Gold and Bronze dragons. Being the smallest of the colours, they are still capable of flight, but their stamina is even less than that of greens. Their small forms make these dragons quick and agile in the air. Personality:Stereotypically, white dragons are generally very kind and fun-loving; however, others are known to be very reasonable and straightforward. Whites are known and cherished for their inate ability to always know when and where they arem and their memory retension can rival that of a Gold. SpecialTraditionally, white dragons are engendered and tend to identify with the gender of the person it bonds to. Thus, whites bonded to women usually identify female, while whites that impress men usually identify male. On occasion, a white may identify the opposite gender of its rider. Due to their un-gendered nature, whites do not tend to feel the urge to mate and as such will not rise or chase. As of Gold Loraketh’s clutch in Turn 198, Whites may hatch ungenedered, male, female, or hermaphroditic which in turn will enable them to fly or chase (and potentially clutch). ImpressionMale or Female - 50/50 Note: Whites usually impress to the same gender they are/identify as.Chasing/Rising/ClutchingUngendered: Ungendered whites do not feel the urge to mate and do not rise or chase. Male - If they feel like it, Male whites will generally only chase small females such as amethysts, greens, and other whites due to their low stamina. Female - Female whites may rise once every three turns (if they happen to feel the need) after they rise the first time (between 12-15 months of age). Whites may clutch one egg and one egg only every three Turns; however, it is not always a viable egg. Hermaphrodite - These whites can both rise and chase. Like females, they may clutch one egg every three Turns. Size15-20 Feet (3-4 Feet at hatching)

A NOTE ON THE INFORMATION SEEN ABOVE!
-All information given here is general, stereo-typical info. So, there are occasions when dragons, just like with any other creature, don't conform with their color's standards.
-Also, impression IS NOT done by sexuality. It is done through personality, and stereo-typically what people would normally put. *For instance, most people that make candidates that would match with a bronze make it a male. If it were a female, it would also be taken into consideration.*
- I go off of what you give me, and what seems to fit. If a green needs a motherly/gentle touch and your character has it, and you noted that that was an okay color to impress, you will most likely get that green.

Mutations
Gender: As of Loraketh's second hatching, Spring of T198, there have been gender mutations as well as color mutations. These are not new colors, but are one of the canon colors, with a gender switch. The first was Blue Female Nystiarth who looks to Therru. In the future one can expect the rare male green or female blue, maybe even a female brown. The gendered Whites are also seen as a gender mutation by some, though often they are just referred to as their own phenomenon.
Rate of Mutation: A gender mutation is the most common of the four mutations, but is in of itself about as common as seeing a white hatch, and seeing the mutation in whites are the most common.
Chimera: First seen in firelizards, Trelis and the rest of Pern have not yet seen a Chimera mutation in a dragon or wher. However, it is a possibility. A chimera is an individual who has a mixed hide, and will always be a mix of the same gender and in the original colors. Possible mixes are White/Green, Blue, Brown, Bronze, Gold..Green/White, Gold...Blue/White, Brown, Bronze...Brown/White, Blue, Bronze...Bronze/White, Blue, Brown.
Rate of Mutation: A chimera mutation is more rare than a gender, and about equal to a rank ripping gene, however is less so than the final mutation. It is about as rare as seeing a Gold hatch.
Rank Ripping: This has not been yet seen in firelizards, dragons or whers, but it is also a possibility for none-color mutations. This is when an original color such as a Blue, ranks as a Bronze and has the coloration of its original color, but the body type of its mental color. This will not happen between genders, and does not involve Whites.
Rate of Mutation: This mutation is about equal in rarity as a Chimera mutation, which is about as rare as seeing a Gold hatch.
Wingless: Only seen in a single firelizard so far, this mutation means that a dragon, flit, or wher is born without wings. The closest thing to this in dragons is with White (f) Moth who was the first White gendered dragon, but was also born with incredibly small wings. Though she was not wingless, if her wings had not been torn by her Blacklight sister, she would have had the flying ability of a wher. Both of these conditions, no wings and very small wings, are capable in the three bondeds.
Rate of Mutation: A wingless, or small wing, mutation is the least common non-color mutation and is seen as often as twins are. It is more common to see the small wing counter part than no wings at all though, and is especially common in individuals that already have some sort of other mutation.
