*Sizes are in height.* AppearanceGolds can range from the common shining hue, to an aged, rustic orange gold. They are the largest wher in the Weyr, and as such have a good amount of bulk. Often though, Golds are well proportioned so that they still appear to be somewhat lithe. Golds also always hold themselves regally and with pride. PersonalityGolds whers are the leaders of the wher community and they let everyone else know it. Sometimes this is through aggression, but even just the regal demeanor of a Gold can prove their place. Queens are not known to be patient, though some are more motherly and caring than others. It's not a good idea to make a Gold angry with you, it may just be the last thing you do. Also, all whers listen to the Golds, especially the Alpha Queen. It is not something they can resist. ClutchingGold whers begin maturing any time after 26 months of age and can run up to twice a turn after that. They generally clutch between 6 - 18 eggs, which can contain any colour of wher; however, some dud eggs are not unexpected in a gold wher's clutch. Size6 - 7 Feet

AppearanceBronze whers, like all whers, can range immensily in color. This goes from dark brownish bronze hues, to lighter gold or red bronze ones. Like with Golds though, Bronze whers have a metallic sheen to their hide. These big boys are just that: big. Bulky and broad, they have noticeable, defined muscles and generally carry themselves with pride and a little arrogance. PersonalityBronze whers are the second in command in the wher community. Like with the Golds they have a regal personality. However, though this usually means they are just and fair, like with some rulers, Bronzes can be aggressive and a bit evil even. This is much less common though. Generally they are the ones to keep order when the Golds are away. Many whers listen to Bronzes, however not all, especially not Golds. ChasingBronzes mature any time after 12 months of age and generally chase the larger females. Occasionally, they may attempt to catch the smaller females as well, though they have a harder time with the agile smaller ladies. Size5.5 - 6.5 Feet

AppearanceBrowns lack the same luster of their metallic siblings, however they do still have a bit of shining hue. Ranging from tan or cream browns, they also can be mocha, reddish, or grayish brown in color. They show bulk more than even their lither Bronze siblings. Very much like draft horses, they are sturdy and sometimes even a bit rounded or boxy. PersonalityBrowns are the workhorses of the Weyr. Calm and stable, browns are more intelligent than their smaller blue and green siblings. They are generally a settling source of comfort within Weyrs, and even play moderator at times. Laid back, some Browns can even be called lazy. Others, however, are hard and diligent workers. ChasingBrowns mature anywhere past 12 months of age. Browns can chase females of any colour, though only larger browns generally stand a chance against a gold. Size5 - 6 Feet

AppearanceFrom a distance, a Citrine might appear as a Gold if it weren't for a few simple differences. For starters, their hides, despite ranging from a buttery yellow to a burnished orange, yellow, have no metallic hue being fighters. The second, is that there hide always has gray markings whether it is just on their wings, or if they are more intricate. Besides this, Citrines are male through and through. They are bulky like blues, but tend to have longer proportions that make them great at running and jumping. PersonalityCitrines love to show off for others, but it's not because they are vain. They want to make others laugh, and like their Ruby counterparts, they often are seen as jokesters in the Wher Holds. The little males often try to do things that are too hard or big for them as well, and can have quite the ego, not unlike a young child wanting to show how well they can do something. They are not the smartest wher in the bunch though, and tend to get distracted easily. ChasingCitrines mature anywhere after 12 months of age and, like blues, tend to chase the smaller females, though the large ones may attempt the larger females. Size4-5.5 FeetAppearanceBlues are a smaller, middle weight whers. Blues are also known for stamina more than agility. However, there are smaller blues that go away from this stereo-type. In way of hide coloring, blues often are a vast array of shades and tints. They can be anywhere from soft sky blue, to the dark green blue of the ocean. Many times, blues will even have a few different blues in their hide. PersonalityBlues are both stable in presence and mind. They are a calming and influential presence for their handler. Blues are less intelligent than their Brown siblings, though, they are more capable of staying on one task than their Green sisters. Blues work hard normally, though some are more lazy or even mean. As with all bondeds, there are instances where one is not stereo-typical. ChasingBlues can reach maturity any time after 12 months of age and usually chase the smaller females. Occasionally, a large blue may attempt a larger female, but their lack of stamina makes this a challenge. Size4.5 - 5.5 Feet

AppearanceGreens are generally lighter colored, however they can be any shade of green. Often, like with their Blue brothers, they have multiple shades of green on their hides. With long, slender limbs more so than the larger bulk of the other colors, they are very fast. They favor this to stamina because of their smaller bodies. PersonalityGreens are incredibly flirtatious and flighty individuals. Often able to have the energy to accomplish multiple tasks, but only the mind to do a few, Greens are good whenever you set them to one thing at a time. However, if you give them too many, or have them working on one for too long, then Greens will often get bored of their task. They are generally very empathetic as well and protective of theirs. During times close to their running, Greens can become quite aggressive and short-tempered though. Clutching- Greens can clutch 1-4 eggs, though like with flits, the rate of fertility is lower. Often, there are dud eggs. ClutchingGreens generally mature between 12 - 15 months of age and may rise one to three times a Turn thereafter, depending on the green. Unlike dragons, green whers are fertile and can clutch 1-4 eggs, though the rate of duds is incredibly high and entire clutches may be infertile from time to time. Size 4 - 5 Feet AppearanceRubies are easily seen anywhere. The most unnatural color of the wher community, Ruby's range anywhere from a soft pink, to a deep garnet red color. Their hides are not metallic being fighters, but they do seem to have a shine to them. Proportionally, Rubies are petite little things generally. They have shorter legs and tails with smaller, more compact torsos, yet larger wings. Somehow though, they manage to look graceful and are quite acrobatic. PersonalityLike Citrines, Rubies are jokesters. They want to make others laugh, smile and love to be the center of attention simply because it makes others feel good. Some can be vain, but mainly they are gentle souls that are also great mothers despite being fighters. They do however have a problem with memory, even more so than a green and are quick to forget things. Because of this, their handlers tend to have to remind them of what to do multiple times, but they're almost always willing to work. ClutchingRubies generally mature between 10 - 13 months of age being the smallest of the females, and may rise one to three times a Turn thereafter, depending on the female. Unlike other female whers, Rubies are special in that they have a higher fertility rate than even golds, but they are not an exception to the rule and do not clutch after every run. Rubies clutch 1-3 eggs, and it is not uncommon for at least one to always be fertile. Size3.5-4.5

AppearanceWhites are not actually only white. Instead they have pale shades of all the colors on their hides. Being the smallest of the wher colors, even they are still capable of short flight, but cannot go for as long as even the Greens' brief flights can. Instead they are very quick and agile. They also have a bit of a shiny look to their hides as do their Blue, Green and Brown siblings. However, it is not metallic like with Gold or Bronze whers. PersonalityWhite dragons are generally very kind and fun-loving. However, others are known to also be very reasonable and straight-forward. Either way, whites are especially known for the fact that they are neither female or male. However, they do often tend to lean to one side or the other. Unlike other small whers, whites have a very good sense of where they are on Pern, as well as great memories. Chasing/ ClutchingWhites whers are ungendered and do not feel the urge to mate and thus do not rise or chase. Size 3 - 4 Feet
