Gold:
Gold:
Appearance
Golds can range from the common shining hue, to an aged, rustic orange gold. They are the largest in the Weyr, and as such have a good amount of bulk. Often though, Golds are well proportioned so that they still appear to be lithe and beautiful. Golds also always hold themselves regally and with pride.
Personality
Golds are the Queens of the Weyr and they let everyone else know it. Sometimes this is through aggression, but even just the regal demeanor of a Gold can prove their place. Queens are not known to be patient, though some are more motherly and caring than others. It's not a good idea to make a Gold angry with you. Also, all firelizards listen to the Queens of the Weyr. It is not something they can resist.
Clutching Golds mature at ___ months and generally rise once or twice a turn. Thei clutches usually contain about 6-18 eggs.
Size
36 - 42 Inches
Ame
trine:
Appearance
Ametrines are split in color, they vary from shades of purple, to pink, to gold. Usually, the hide is iridescent instead of metallic, and they slightly patchy with color. Smaller than their Gold sisters, Ametrines are the more lithe and thin of the two. They often have a pride in the way they hold themselves. Though, depending on their personality that can vary greatly. Their wings are long and thin like a Green's, instead of being broader like a Gold's.
Personality
Ametrines are as split in personality as they are in color. They are either one of two extremes. Very happy and sweet, often times humble as well. Or, they will be defiant and reckless creatures. Both are slightly vain, though that too shows differently. They are loyal to Theirs, however the more defiant ones only show loyalty to this person. The more humble Ametrines, will be loyal to their entire fair, especially the Gold Queens.
Other
Ametrines first began appearing at Trelis during the Spring Gather in Turn 197.
Clutching
Ametrines mature at about ___ months. They rise about twice a Turn, and clutch anywhere from 4-10 eggs.
Size
32- 40 Inches
Bronze:
Appearance-Bronze flits, like their bigger golden sisters, can range immensely in color. This goes from dark brownish bronze hues, to lighter gold or red bronze ones. Like with Golds though, Bronzes have a metallic sheen to their hide. As the second largest, they are large and bulky. More so than Golds though. Their muscles are more noticeable and they take pride in them and themselves in general.
Personality-Bronzes are the Kings of the Weyr. Like with the Golds they have a regal personality. However, though this usually means they are just and fair, like with some rulers, Bronzes can be aggressive and a bit evil even. This is much less common though. Generally they are the ones to keep order when the Golds are away. Many dragons listen to Bronzes, however not all, especially not Queens.
Chasing- Will chase Golds and Ametrines. Occasionally will chase Greens.
Size- 30-36 inches
Brown:
Appearance-Browns lack the same luster of their metallic siblings, however they do still have a bit of shining hue. Ranging from tan or cream browns, they also can be mocha, reddish, or grayish brown in color. They show bulk more than even their lither Bronze siblings. Very much like draft horses, they are sturdy and sometimes even a bit rounded or boxy.
Personality-Browns are the workhorses of the Weyr. Calm and stable, browns are more intelligent than their smaller blue and green siblings. They are generally a settling source of comfort within Weyrs, and even play moderator at times. Laid back, some Browns can even be called lazy. Others however, are hard and diligent workers.
Chasing- Generally Chases Greens and Ametrines, occasionally a larger Brown will chase a smaller Gold.
Size- Size- 24--30 inches
Epi
Appearance- Like the other new colors, Epidotes are a mix. This mix ranges between, slate grays, greens, browns and blacks. Often they look muddied or rugged because of this. They will many times have markings as well that are more intricate than the other colors'. They are smaller than Browns, but larger than most Blues, and are about in between with their proportions as well.
Personality-Epidotes are smart. They get bored easily, and they often like to collect things. In short, they are the inquisitive, curious, magpies of the Weyr. If their owner doesn't keep them occupied, most Epidotes will get into anything they can see. Most are anything but aggressive, instead showing an either sweet, or passive disposition.
Chasing- Epidotes can chase anything, but normally only catch up to Ametrines.
Size- 22-28
Blue:
Appearance-Blues are a smaller, middle weight dragon. They have broad wings like a hawk's so that they can be stable during flight. Blues are also known for stamina more than acrobatic agility. However, there are smaller blues that go away from this stereo-type. In way of hide coloring, blues often are a vast array of shades and tints. They can be anywhere from soft sky blue, to the dark green blue of the ocean. Many times, blues will even have a few different blues in their hide.
Personality-Blues are both stable in presence and mind. They are a calming and influential presence for their owner. Blues are less intelligent than their Brown siblings, though, they are more capable of staying on one task than their Green sisters. Blues work hard normally, though some are more lazy or even mean. As with all bondeds, there are instances where one is not stereo-typical.
Chasing- Chases Greens.
Size- 18--24 inches
Green:
Appearance-Greens are generally lighter colored, however they can be any shade of green. Often, like with their Blue brothers, they have multiple shades of green on their hides. With long, slender wings that are more like a falcon's than a hawk's, they are wicked fast and easily can maneuver in difficult positions. They favor this to stamina because of their smaller, whip-like bodies.
Personality-Greens are incredibly flirtatious and flighty individuals. Often able to have the energy to accomplish multiple tasks, but only the mind to do a few, Greens are good whenever you set them to one thing at a time. However, if you give them too many, or have them working on one for too long, then Greens will often get bored of their task. They are generally very empathetic as well and protective of theirs. During times close to their rising, Greens can become quite aggressive and short-tempered though.
Clutching- Clutches 1-4 eggs, fertility of eggs though is rare. Many are duds.
Size- 12--18 inches
Lazuli:
Appearance- Lazuli flits are delicate and feminine in their appearance. A mixture of silver, blue, green and purple, they can either look like water and a stormy night, or a sunrise. They are the smallest female, and second smallest firelizard in Pern. As such, they are great speed fliers, and are known to zip around everywhere they go.
Personality- Lazulis are the sweet, motherly ones out of all the colors. They always feel responsible for others, and hate to have someone upset. If they see someone who is crying for instance, they will do everything they can think of to make them smile. They are often times the jesters in the fair because of this, and help to be a scape-goat in tense situations. Lazulis also are very empathetic and love to snuggle with Theirs.
Clutching- Caught mainly by the smaller colors. They clutch 2 eggs, only one is viable usually though.
Size- 8-14 inches
White:
Appearance-Whites are not actually only white. Instead they have pale shades of all the colors on their hides. Being the smallest of the colors, they are still capable of flight, but cannot go for as long as even the Greens can. Instead they are very quick and agile with wings that are well proportioned to their bodies. They also have a bit of a shiny look to their hides as do their Blue, Green and Brown siblings. However, it is not metallic like with Gold or Bronze flits.
Personality-Whites are generally very kind and fun-loving. However, others are known to also be very reasonable and straight-forward. Either way, whites are especially known for the fact that they are neither female or male. However, they do often tend to lean to one side or the other. Unlike other small dragons, whites have a very good sense of where they are on Pern, as well as great memories.
Chasing/Clutching- Whites do not have a gender, so they do not chase or clutch.
