Pronunciation:

Age:
17 Turns
Season Born In:
Winter
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Bisexual {Male Preference}
Appearance:
Nick has shoulder length black hair that usually doesn't get styled. He has blue eyes, just like his father did. He has a light tan covering his muscled body. Nick is 5'7" and is very proud of his long, powerful legs. He usually wears brown shirts, and brown pants, his favorite color. He usually wears a think, leather strap around his neck to hide a scar he's had since he was a child. He normally wears a sturdy wrist brace, and leather gloves, especially when he's doing chores.
Nick is usually a very expressive person, but has no problem hiding what he is feeling. He normally walks with a kind of lazy stride, not that he really is lazy. He almost never stands up straight, and will normally have a sort of lazy smile on his face that has a tendency to make people mad at him. The one thing that helps people to know he isn't very lazy is the fact that all of his clothes are straight and neat.
Personality:
Nick is usually a pretty happy guy. He enjoys almost everything he does, and doesn't mind hard work, he actually really likes it. He doesn't mind helping others, and will always stand up for, and try to protect those that are either weaker than himself, or are his friends. He is normally pretty easy to get along with, but doesn't really like talking about his past. Nick's a really caring guy, and is always willing to listen. He doesn't really get jealous, and does his best to avoid those situations. Nick has never, and will never, back down from a challenge. He has issues when it comes to the strap around his neck. He doesn't like to talk about it, but there is a long scar on the left side of his neck that he got when he was a kid.
Nick is a very trusting, and loyal person, especially to his friends. He always holds his friends in high regards. It takes a LOT to upset him, and when he is upset, he has a hard time showing it. Nick is a very patient person and will always do what he can to help others. He can be a bit selfish, and possessive. He likes to keep his stuff very neat, and organized. He will actually start cleaning and organizing his friends stuff if he ever sees the chance. So it is highly advised to never leave him alone in an unorganized room.
Nick loves to be outside, and that's normally where a person could find him. Nick's strong, and calm personality is at it's strongest. He likes to lay in the grass and just watch the clouds float by. Even though he loves to be outside, he absolutely HATES the rain. He will fight tooth and nail to keep himself from going out in the rain, but he will eventually give in if a person fights with him long enough. Even though he is a very stubborn person, he knows when to quite, especially when a person of high rank is telling him to do something.
History:
Nick had a pretty normal childhood, except that his father had died before he was born. Nick never knew how his father died, and his mother had never offered to tell him either. Every time he would ask his mother what his father was like, she would just start screaming at him to just forget him, and try to pay more attention to his chores. His mother was, and still is, a drudge at Trelis Weyr. He has lived his whole life there, and ever since he was a child he's always wanted to impress either a wher or even a dragon, just like his father.
Though his mother always said that he should forget about ever becoming a Rider or a handler, and instead try to become a Holder. His mother would always fight about this with him, and it would always end with Nick walking away from his mother, and going to his room. He would stay in his room until his mother would call him out, and say she was sorry. Nick would always forgive her, and they would always go back to the happy family that they always have been.
It was during one of these fights that Nick had gotten really upset, and had stormed out of their home into a really bad thunderstorm. He was sitting next to a tree when a lightning strike had splinters of shrapnel flying everywhere. It was one of these splinters that cut Nick's neck. After being looked after by the healers, he was allowed to go home. After that day, he's always wore something over it to hide it, afraid it would make him look bad.
Nick never had a hard life, and would always do what he could to help his mother with her work. He usually stayed out of Weyr business, but when he heard that there was going to be a dragon clutch, he did everything he could to become a candidate for the hatching. Since that day Nick has been working as hard as he could so that he might have a better chance at impressing a dragon hatchling, even if it was just a blue or green. It didn't seem like he had to wait too long before he got his chance to see if he would become a dragon rider or not.

Nick smiled broadly when he heard the news about the Hatchlings. He quickly pulled his robes and sandals on and was heading out the door when he heard Rex chirp. I'm sorry buddy, but you gotta stay here for now. I'd hate to see what one of them might do to you. Nick smiled when his bronze firelizard chirped, and turned to watch out the window. He was going to make sure His stayed safe, even if he had to watch from the window sill. Nick rolled his eyes and shook his head at the firelizard before bolting out the door to the hatching sands. He smiled at the amount of candidates already there, and wondered who would get the feisty little green.
Soon enough though a brown hatched, and Nick's eyes widened with wonder. Would he be mine? Nick watched as the hatchling found Rihard, and impressed to the other boy. Congrats Rihard! He smiled, and clapped at the other boy as he spoke. He might not have impressed yet, but there was still a chance that he could. Which meant that he wasn't moving from his spot on the hot sands for anything until all the eggs had hatched, and either he impressed or was left standing. He didn't care what really happened to him as long as it seemed as though the boy might have a chance at finding a lifemate.

Nick on the other hand was too busy watching the red dragon with a strange mix of fear and hatred of the dark red male. He hoped and prayed that that would not be his. He turned his attention away from the dark hatchling and watched as a female candidate slowly walked off with the energetic looking green hatchling. He smiled, and congratulated her, though he felt as though she was too shocked to even notice anything but her new dragonet. He then turned his attention back in time to see the dark red male being told off by a darker looking hatchling.
Nick watched the dark red dragonet with a strange kind of horror in his eyes as it approached the male candidates. He was starting to feel like running away when it picked the candidate that had gotten into a fight with the female candidate. He sighed a very loud sigh of relieve, and turned his head back to the sands. He felt as though he should run out and see if he could help the little blue dragonet, but he had learned that that wasn't a very wise thing to do. So instead he watched as the darker looking hatchling found hers, and impressed the female candidate that had gotten into a fight with the newly impressed male candidate.
This should be interesting. Nick felt like rubbing his hands together, and start taking bets on how long it would take the two of them to get into another fight. He decided better, and turned his attention back to the sands, and started wondering about the blue that had been injured. He hoped the little guy would be ok, and that he would find His, and not between. The though of a dragonet betweening gave Nick the shivers, so he made himself stop thinking about it, and start thinking about the remaining eggs, and his possibilities of impressing one of their inhabitants.

Not one, but two candidates were late! Loraketh turned her attention from her eggs to the newcomers, growling deep in her throat. Inali thankfully was able to calm her dragon. Sweetheart, maybe you should announce to everyone what the two new colors are? The gold hesitated for a second, looking at the two boys with swirling red, blue eyes. After a moment though she moved her head away and faced the entirety of the hatching. The female named Talath is called an Obsidian. She is not a fighter like a green, and she is not a Queen. She is a new rank called Sub-Queen. The other, and here Loraketh hissed slightly, is named Emiath is called a Garnet. He's..like a Brown.
Done with that, Loraketh directed every one's attention to the sands where the injured blue was whimpering. He didn't want to be hurt anymore! Flicking one bleeding wing, he inspected the appendage. It would be fixed in time, but it would take a bit. Looking around, the White Dancer egg began to shake as well. Hissing, the blue went over to it. He didn't want to be hurt again! Though, this egg was much, much smaller than the one that had held that Garnet.
Cocking his head to the side, the blue sat down and watched as the White Dancer egg started to form long cracks. Soon, it was completely fractured on one side. With a final great push a white sing spur pushed through. Then a head followed, tiny and pale. Crooning, the white dragonet slipped out of his shell and looked up at his larger clutchmate...and growled. Amused by this, the blue growled back playfully.
It seemed quite like two canines playing together, one small and the other much larger. Wagging his tail, the white rose up on his haunches and pounced at the larger blue. In return the other male snorted and "fell" down. They went at this for a while, "attacking" one another and playing tag until they got closer to the Luminous Light Egg. Neither the blue or the white was paying attention as they tumbled into the bronze and gold egg. Shaking his little head, the white crooned unhappily. That had hurt!
Sent into a frenzy of cracks, the occupant of the large egg pushed against its confining shell. It wanted out! It wanted others to see it! Finally pushing a wing spur through, the hatchling inside tumbled out after. It was a strange thing somewhere between an orange and a bronze color. It's hide was slightly metallic though like with Talath's. Looking around, the hatchling crooned happily. All eyes were on her as they were supposed to be!
Pleased with the attention, the female, because she was most definitely female, looked down at the blue and white dragonets. They were not important, only slightly so because they gave her attention. Knocking the tiny white on his side, the female started to prance and strut around the sands. Look at her! All eyes should be on her! That's what she wanted. Opening and closing her wings, the new female crooned in delight.
The white however wasn't pleased by the way the female had brushed him off. Shaking his wings out so that the sand would stop sticking to them, the little male looked around at the candidates. The blue after all had already started going around to them and was now sniffing through the girls. Snorting, the white strode over to His, puffed up to make himself look as big as possible. Eyeing a equally small green that had already impressed, the white warbled happily. At least he was a bit bigger than her!
Snorting, the white turned his head back to His. There you are N'ckMine! Your Kicheth has been looking for you everywhere. That orange thing was so horrible! No matter Mine, I'll survive. She can't get me down. I'm not tiny and useless like she said I was. No. I. Am. Not! I'm a big dragon, I don't care if I'm only white! Food NOW! That way I can eat, and grow, and get bigger than that orange thing.

Name:
Rex
Pronunciation:

Age:
3 Turns
Type:
Firelizard
Rank:
Bronze
Size:
33in.
Color Codes:
Body: CD8500
Markings: 8B6508
Appearance:
Rex is a pretty average firelizard in size, but for some reason this bronze flit has an extra long tail. Rex is a copper bronze, with dark bronze markings. He has dark bronze stripes all around his tail, and wings. Other than those few markings Rex is a solid copper in color. His large wings help him stay in the air for quite a while. Rex has very strong muscles, especially in his wings. These strong muscles help give him the stamina he is so proud of. That long tail of his is normally wrapped around Nick's shoulders and neck as he sits proudly on the teens shoulder.
Personality:
Rex is a very proud bronze, and likes attention. The only creature he would willingly share attention with is a gold flit, which he himself would lavish with his attention. He commands respect from all those who he believes are below him. He is a very loyal firelizard, and would do anything for Nick. He likes to think of himself as the boss, and has issues taking orders from anyone and anything but Nick. He is very possessive, especially when it comes to his mate, Nick's attention, and his food.
Rex can actually be a very calm firelizard, but has a tendency to be extremely evil when he's upset, and isn't afraid to take his anger out on anything that moves or doesn't move for that matter. With all of this flit's personal issues he can be very level-headed when he is needed to be. He is also quite the charmer when he wants to be...which is actually very rarely.

Underside/Wings: C0D9D9
Appearance:
Kicheth is a very bright white, with a very light bluish gray mixed in with his base color. He has a light gray underside, and wings. He is on the larger side for his rank, but he doesn't really care about that either. His large wings are kept a little open, and above his body in a very confident manner. Kicheth's large white claws are normally kept clean, and sharp. That way they will be ready for anything.
Personality:
Insubordinate, Independent, Confident, Napoleon-Complex
Mind-Voice:
I Kicheth, this N'ckMine.
Kicheth's voice is very confident, and is actually very gentle on one's mind, even though it is so bright.
