It was still early, the Gather just getting started and Daren was finishing up the placement of his work in the small stall he'd rented. There were the usual items, jars and bottles, of different sizes with varying sized openings. Some meant to be sealed with cork and paraffin, others were beveled for a screw-on lid. These were all display items for people to order from and were the best of such items he had on hand. They were all very functional, of course, but were not anything special.
His better work was on the right side of the display. Delicate glass-ware made of colored glass, glass vases in artistically sculpted shapes, boxes made of colored glass with carvings of the sea or a dragon flight on the lid, small panes of stained class, and delicately wrought glass figurines of animals and birds and dragon kind adorned the table. These were the works he was proud of, and that he'd hoped to sell today.
The crowds were steadily increasing and more and more people passed his stall. He kept an eye out for rough-housing or tricky-fingered youngsters and waited for his first customer of the day.
