Zikira didn't think she would ever come back to Trelis so soon, especially without her older sister. She was bonded to her green though and at Telgar Weyr. Zikira had gone home to Solace hold, having failed to impress at the last four hatchings. Now she was back, temporary as it might be. She sighed, pulling her arms around herself and tugging a curl of blackish brown hair. The mass crackled around, free or any braid or bun. Perhaps that wasn't the smartest of ideas. She didn't have much time to consider this though as she came across a rider with Huntyre eggs. They were hatching almost as soon as they were given out, and she couldn't help but want one. Maybe it would stay with her forever, she'd like that. Pointing to one of the left over eggs Zikira glanced up at the greenrider. "Can I have that one please....if it's not too much of a bother that is..."

"Y-yes... of course... Fari was NOT pleased that another human had come up and tried to get one of her eggs without at least offering her something for trade. The world was unfair! The entire ordeal put the young Forest in a bad mood. So, of course, when the egg was placed on the table, she screeched at the thing to hurry up and hatch so she could go back to her nest of pretties in Hers' room. The egg, however, almost seemed to roll back towards her. As if.. offended? It was certainly a strange thing, seeing the egg wobbling slowly towards its mother. A hole appeared then in the otherwise fuzzy-smooth shell, followed by a second. Obviously the little one inside did not want to do things the normal way. Oh no, it wated to do it's own thing, because obviously it knew better than everyone else that had come before. A charcoal coloured leg appeared out of one of the holes, followed by a grey-coloured, wing. The creature inside squeaked suddenly as the egg rolled over, leaving the hatchling stuck upside down, with its foot sticking up into the air. Fari squawked worried. Did the little one need help? No! The weak chirp sounded back. It was just fine thank you, it knew what it was doing and it didn't need an old fart like its mother sticking her beak where it didn't belong. A few moments of frantic struggling ensued before the shell finally fell away, revealing a very upset looking young hatchling. Wait... was it... black? Now that was unusual, almost as unusual as its hatching had been. The hatchling, ruffling his non existant feathers, flopped tiredly on the ground. He was tired, and hungry. Moooooom, he seemed to call, bring me some fooooood. Fari scoffed at the little male in a way that clearly said Do it yourself. Huffing and puffing, the Fuzzy Peach Nightshade looked around for someone else to cater to his every whim. Did no one here understand him? GOSH life was made of suck. Oh! There, that girl would do. Babe! He chirped at Zikira, beckoning her to come pick him up as he stretched out on the table. Oh yeah, the ladies would love him; he was hot stuff! Jethro had heard about somebody giving out Husntyre Eggs. He smiled and set out to find the stall where the eggs were at. As he walked he looked around at all the people and their pets walking around. This place was so different than his little mine village. Jethro smiled to himself and people watched as he walked trying to take in everything around him in his excitement. He stopped for a minute and thought to himself I hope there is a egg left when i get there. After thinking this he hurried along till he saw the stand exactly where he had heard it was. HE walked over to U'wa the owner of the mother and asked in a very polite voice as he saw there was one egg left "Excuse me sir can I please have the last egg i brought a shiny pebble like your Husntyre asked?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pretty stone and held it out and smiled as he waited for the boy to answer.

U'wa smiled warmly at the boy who was, most like, his final customer of the day. It was a sign of relief for the boy; this whole stall thing was hard! "R-really?" He asked as the other mentioned a pebble. He would be the only one then, but that would at least make his Forest happy. Fari chirped at Jethro, hopping towards him once she saw the pebble, cheeping in a way that clearly asked for the shiny pebble. Oh yes, she liked this boy! He could have her last egg, yes he could! "T-Thank you, she's very happy." U'wa moved to place the wobbling egg on the table, as he had with all the others, but a crack appeared on its shell before he could grab it. In a hurry, U'wa scooped it up and placed it where it could hatch easily. The egg wiggled and wobbled, hairline cracks spreading over the shell, but none big enough to allow the little one inside to escape. After a few more wiggles, the egg stopped completely, and a high pitched screech could be heard from within. IT WASN'T FAAAAAAAAAAAIR! Why did the egg not want to break? Oh cruel world, take me now from your horrid clutches! The feelings from the egg seemed to say. Another wiggle, followed by another cry of sorrow. Then finally, finally, a small, fuzzy green head popped through, followed by a brown and green body. She squawked indignantly at Jethro; the first person she saw. Ohhh didn't Hers see how mean that egg had been to her? He would make it all better wouldn't he? Oh! And why was he holding out a pebble to her mother? Oh no! He liked Fari better than he liked her? What a cruel man! Couldn't she see how much she needed him? How would she survive now?! She flopped down on the ground, crying. Oh Jethro! Couldn't you make things better? Jethro watched as the mother came over to get the Pebble as her owner hurriedly put the last egg out onto the table for him. He watched as the egg started to crack but stopped suddenly .Jethro looked down worriedly as he heard a high pitched screech come from the egg "I guess the baby is stuck" he thought to himself and smiled. He was just about to reach down and help it when the baby's green head popped out of the shell then her little body came free from the egg. Jethro Smiled as he felt how mad the little bird was at the egg and then when she saw how he was holding out a pebble to her mother got sad and plopped down crying. He was stunned and handed the pebble to the mother before picking up the baby gently in his hand "don't worry little one i don't like her more than you i have another pebble for you see" he pulled out another shiny pebble and showed it to her "I think I'll name you Roberta."
