The Next Big Thing! (PLOT!)

Alright, so as a re-cap of what has happened so far in the plot, here is a time-line.

So, you're probably wondering...ZOMG!!! What's the surprise plot stuff...well that's for staff to know right now, as well as Zero for the first one, and the Goldrider to know for the second.

Okay, so now you're probably wondering...ZOMG!!! What's a Goldrider doing in Trelis Weyr?!?

Well, Inali, as stated, will call in a favor. She's not trusting any of the Southern Weyrs *hehe pun intended*, so she's going to ask someone from High Reaches Weyr to come down. It's going to be someone younger, someone who is power hungry and devious. Someone who knows they won't have a chance at becoming high ranking in their own Weyr. In Trelis though, where the only other competition is a Queenlet, and the WeyrQueen is only three turns and they aren't looking good right now? Well, that's a good thing.

So, this is going to be a competition. If you're interested, fill out the form below and post it to this thread. Then, a week before the hatching *still to be decided but sometime in December*, they will be voted on by the members here. Then, the top three are going to be considered by staff, and we will choose the absolute winner.

Rules:
1) Take the above info as a guideline...any additional info needed look at my new candi's bio *Therru*, or pm me.
2) They must be anywhere from 18-26 in age. *They need to be young enough to not have much chance at power in their own Weyr.* Their dragon has to be at least 3 turns.
3) IF YOU ARE STAFF, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE...we're voting on the final three.
4) IF YOU HAVE A SUB-QUEEN, KING, OR GARNET DRAGON...you will have a handicap.
That pretty much means a lot of you though so...yeah. *that means new members actually have the best chance at this*
5) ANY SHOP ITEMS CAN BE USED!!...but don't lay them on thick like HAD+HAF+etc, etc.

Oh!...and 6) This rider and dragon will not stay after the end of the plot in Summer-time. It may come up with S'vrin's group later though *insert evil laugh* >.> You'll all see when we get there. xD

Yes I know there's a lot in the app...however, there's plenty of time to get it done, trust me. We won't be needing this character till Loraketh's hatching, and that won't be till we get done with the plot we're going through now. Because this is a temporary character, we do not count this as a high ranking spot for you. In other words, it will not effect your chances at impressing a high ranking dragon/wher in the future if you win.

Appearance Ssawla is a gorgeous young woman. She has soft curves in all the right places on her gently tanned slender skin. Coupled with her long, silky blond hair tied into a single brain down her back, her long delicate eyelashes shadowing steel-gray eyes beacon all the menfolk to her whim. She is 5' 5" tall.

Wearing soft, airy light-colored clothing, Ssawla might be considered a tease if her actions followed her looks.

A soft, natural sway of her hips as she gracefully walked about could make even the most hardened of men go weak in the knees. Her frequent bouts of clumsiness all the more endearing to those that did not know her.

Personality Ssawla was cunning. Oh yes! She had big plans for her future and she did not care who got hurt along the way. Ambition beat strongly in her chest but she was careful not to let it show...too much. Outwardly she tried to keep her well-spoken, quiet, subservient act as much as possible. On the inside, Ssawla was downright devious, always plotting and planning her rise to power. Power is what she craved and she was going to get it no matter the cost.

Ssawla, though uncaring about the people around her, truly felt a deep bond of love for her gold dragon. She was her whole world. She was Hers and HERS alone. Possessive to a fault she didn't even let the weyrbrats help care for her giant dragon unless they could manage to get into her good graces. Manipulating the youngsters in a cunning way, she won thrice. Cautious of their attention to her Gold, satisfied with their devoted allegiance in order to be allowed to care for her Gold, and the small gifts some of the more desperate were willing to part with when nothing else seemed to encourage Ssawla's favor.

Ssawla did have a gentle side, a nurturing side, but again, it was not directed to humans. Humans were merely a disappointing necessity, tools to be used and discarded as she saw fit. No, Ssawla's gentle nurturing was given to the pets of others, for she did not have any. She loved them but was too disinterested in the 'cleaning up after them' part.

History Ssawla was born from humble beginnings to parents that worked as kitchen staff in a small cothold near High Reaches Weyr. Being the second child, and only daughter, she was noticed to be very beautiful even from a very young age. Doted on and spoiled, Ssawla quickly learned that she could get what she wanted if she 'played' the people around her just right. Her older brother could see right through her and disapproved but did not say anything for he too was a victim of her cunning.

When her parents both died in a freak accident, she was left with the mental scarring that only a nine year old would mis-interpret. Humans, had just become the enemy and were not to be trusted, nor relied upon. Her brother, only a few days later had been searched and had 'abandoned' her too leaving her in the care of a strict, and harsh, unhappy woman that worked in the laundry.

Having been searched when she was fourteen, she stood for many a hatching until her Kizzuth finally hatched and chose her when she had barely turned seventeen. With several older queen riders already in the weyr she now lived in, she held no hope of advancement. Oh but to be weyrwoman, yes! That is what she would be as soon as she could figure out how it could be done.

Three years pass for Ssawla and Kizzuth before she began to realize that to advance she would have to look for a transfer into a different weyr. High Reaches Weyr just wasn't the place for her ambitions anymore...

Appearance Kizzuth was on the slender side with wide wings and a slightly longer than average tail. A barely discernable striped patterned crossed the lower half of her legs in a mostly-horizontal pattern. A near milky gold hide, smooth and unblemished was accented with a slightly darker gold coloring along the wing membranes, muzzle and ankles. She, like her rider was well-proportioned and beautiful.

Personality Kizzuth was, in one word, proud. No she was not arrogant but she knew exactly where her place was and she wasn't shy about announcing it to the world through body language and the occasional message relayed through her rider. She was the queen of all queens, the best and most powerful one on Pern. Oh yes she was! And everyone would know it soon. Ssawla knew her importance and had told her as much day after day from the time she had barely hatched. Oh yes, she doted on her rider with all the love and affection she held in her huge hearts. Whatever and whoever Ssawla loved, that is what she loved too. The exceptions to that rule had not yet arisen for she was still young.

Soft as silk, Kizzuth's voice is soothing and yet at the same time hints of dangerous, cool cunning seemed to burn at the far edges making one wonder if it had really been there.

What can this character offer: A cunning and devious character is Ssawla. She can enhance the RP and plots as she is needed.
Why do you think this is a good fit for the part: Because of her history and her strong need to rise to the top and be done with humans getting in her way, Ssawla would be a good fit for what is needed. She does not care about humans. They are only to be used and discarded as needed.
How flexible are you with plots: Extremely flexible. In fact, I prefer to leave options open to go in whichever direction might be better for the plot.
How would someone describe you in ten words: Friendly and thoughtful, a bit forgetful too at times.
