Appearance Kite is 5'6" with black hair and dark brown eyes. He weighs 185 pounds and is light skinned. He mostly wears black, since its his favorite color, but wears a white undershirt under all that black. His black hair is kept trimmed up to his shoulders.
When you pull up his right pants leg, you notice a small splotch of tan on his ankle. It's his birth mark and he's proud to have it. As for his muscles, they're not as vascular and pronounced as his cousin, G'daro. But he is still something to look at.
Personality Kite is a very headstrong and independent young man. He likes to pick fights with other boys and is somewhat aggressive when he's really mad. He is also very rude and impolite with his manners.
He is also clever and brave. He's a natural at tactics, drawing up game plans for others in his spare time. He spends most of his time thinking about his future and sometimes the past.
When it come to the ladies, he is somewhat polite to them, sometimes doing obsurd tasks in hopes of getting a date. But most of the time, he likes to left alone.

History Kite was born in Benden Hold from a brown rider and a Master Weaver. His birthmark on his ankle was considered lucky by his father. He loved his father's dragon Veiith, always helping his father oil his hide and feeding him chunks of meat.
When he was 4, his brother Evan was born. He loved him very much and was a teacher to him. When he was 6, his sister Tai was born. Unlike Evan, he did not care for her much. But that all changed when he was 10 turns old.
He was asleep when the call went out that Thread was falling. His father went out to fight on his dragon while his mother and his siblings hid in the cellar. But something went terribly wrong. Evan and Tai decided to go see the Thread and the riders in action. Kite went after them, and found them in the hollow of a tree, a mile from the Hold.
He quickly took them back to the cellar just as the Thread stopped falling. Kite, Evan and Tai were safe, for now. Ever since then he has kept a close eye on them nearly all the time, but still helped his father with his dragon. His mother started to teach him Weaving when he was 12 and has become a Journeyman at it, even though he wanted to be a dragonrider more than anything else on Pern.
One day, when he was 17, opportunity knocked. He heard that his cousin Gedaro had Impressed a brown and two searchriders came to the hold on Search. Kite was chosen and his father was proud of him for following his dream. He hopped onto the dragon's back (after saying goodbye to his family) and the dragon flew away to the Weyr.

Weaknesses He has a hard time using a loom and can't decide what colors look best for a certain thing like a scarf.

Dragon/Wher Preference I think that brown or higher would be a best match for him because his father was a brown rider (as well as G'daro) and he does not want to disappoint him by Impressing something lower than a brown. Also, I would like for Kite to receive a scar somewhere on his body as well as some cuts and bruises.
