Appearance Ssawla considers herself to be a gorgeous young woman. No one has contradicted her belief. She has soft curves in all the right places on her gently tanned slender skin. Coupled with her long, silky blond hair tied into a single brain down her back, her long delicate eyelashes shadowing steel-gray eyes seem to beacon all the menfolk to her whim. She is 5' 5" tall.
Wearing soft, airy light-colored clothing, Ssawla might be considered a tease if her actions followed her looks.
A soft, natural sway of her hips as she gracefully walks about might make even the most hardened of men go weak in the knees. At least she likes to think so.
Personality Ssawla is cunning. Oh yes! She has big plans for her future and she does not care who gets hurt along the way. Ambition beats strongly in her chest but she is careful not to let it show...too much. Outwardly she tries to keep her well-spoken, quiet, subservient act as much as possible. On the inside, Ssawla is downright devious, always plotting and planning her rise to power. Power is what she craves and she determines to get it no matter the cost.
Ssawla, though uncaring about the people around her, truly feels a deep bond of love for her gold dragon. Kizzuth is her whole world. She is Hers and HERS alone. Possessive to a fault she doesn't even let the weyrbrats help care for her giant dragon unless they can manage to get into her good graces.
Manipulating the youngsters in a cunning way, she wins in three ways; Allegiance, Gifts for favor, and a lack of having to do her own work. She is ever cautious of their attention to her Gold but is satisfied with their devoted allegiance to her in order to be allowed to care for her Gold. The small gifts some of the more desperate are willing to part with when nothing else seems to encourage Ssawla's favor are also nice. Not having to slave over her giant beloved is another bonus.
Ssawla does have a gentle, nurturing side, but again, it is not directed to humans. Humans are merely a disappointing necessity in her mind, tools to use and discard as she sees fit. No, Ssawla's gentle nurturing is given to the pets of others, for she does not have any of her own. She loves them but is too disinterested in the 'cleaning up after them' part to bother.

History Ssawla was born from humble beginnings to parents that worked as kitchen staff in a small cothold near High Reaches Weyr. Being the second child, and only daughter, she was noticed to be very beautiful even from a very young age by a few close friends of the family. Doted on and spoiled, Ssawla quickly learned that she could get what she wanted if she 'played' the people around her just right. Her older brother saw right through her and disapproved but did not say anything for he too was a victim of her cunning.
When her parents both died in a freak accident, she was left with the mental scarring that only a nine year old would mis-interpret. Humans, had just become the enemy and were not to be trusted, nor relied upon. Her brother, had been searched only a few days later and had 'abandoned' her too leaving her in the care of a strict, and harsh, unhappy aunt that worked in the laundry.
Having been searched herself when she was fourteen, she stood for many a hatching until her Kizzuth finally hatched and chose her when she had barely turned seventeen. With several older queen riders already in the weyr she now lived in, she held no hope of advancement. Oh but to be weyrwoman, yes! That is what she would be as soon as she could figure out how it could be done.
Three years passed for Ssawla and Kizzuth before she began to realize that to advance she would have to look for a transfer into a different weyr. High Reaches Weyr just wasn't the place for her ambitions anymore...

Appearance Kizzuth is on the slender side with wide wings and a slightly longer than average tail. A barely discernible striped patterned crosses the lower half of her legs in a mostly-horizontal pattern. A near milky gold hide, smooth and unblemished is accented with a slightly darker gold coloring along the wing membranes, muzzle and ankles. She, like her rider is well-proportioned and some have said that she is beautiful.
Personality Kizzuth is, in one word, proud. No she is not arrogant but she knew exactly where her place is and she isn't shy about announcing it to the world through body language and the occasional message relayed through her rider. She is the queen of all queens, the best and most powerful one on Pern. Oh yes she is! And everyone will know it soon. Ssawla knows her importance and has told her as much day after day from the time she had barely hatched. Oh yes, she dotes on her rider with all the love and affection she has in her huge hearts. Whatever and whoever Ssawla loved, that is what she loved too. Although as of yet, none of them are human.The exceptions to that rule had not yet arisen for she is still young.

Soft as silk, Kizzuth's voice is soothing and yet at the same time hints of dangerous, cool cunning seem to burn at the far edges making one wonder if it was really there.

Why do you think this is a good fit for the part: Because of her history and her strong need to rise to the top and be done with humans getting in her way, Ssawla would be a good fit for what is needed. She does not care about humans. They are only to be used and discarded as needed.
How flexible are you with plots: Extremely flexible. In fact, I prefer to leave options open to go in whichever direction might be better for the plot.
