She crossed her arms and looked at him with stony eyes, blue, cold, and deeper than the depths of Between itself. However deep that was. She looked irritated. More irritated than before. This was the problem with the two of them. They just seemed to irritated each other. She wondered if there was ever hope for them to get along. His teasing was a bit painful at times, but she let it slide. She still didn't say anything to him, looking at him.
Then her eyes widened in surprise as Syphraelth spoke to her. "I can tell..." she said to the dragon before thinking about the fact that he may have been able to speak to him mentally. He has strong opinions too. This time she thought it at the brown dragon.
Anori came back and chirped at her, looking at J'degar for a moment, but the flitter did not seem worried... he didn't think he had any reason too, quite honestly.
"Hmph. Well excuse me for that then, Brownrider," she looked at him again, those bright blue eyes like blue sparks alight from behind.

Now there was a look he could appreciate. It wasn't crybaby, or pathetic. Sure, he didn't necessarily LIKE it when women gave him cold looks, but he would take it over whining any day. Perhaps it was because she seemed to be able to bounce back without much problem, or that she actually had the nerve to argue with him... but he supposed, if he HAD to spend time with anyone, then at least she was tolerable. He raised an eyebrow in concern as she suddenly went wide eyed and said something that made no sense.
His brows furrowed. "Syphraelth. You keep your stupid brown nose out of this." He spoke out loud, a vein twitching in his forehead. Oh hush GarMine. You have no tact when it comes to the fairer sex. The brown spoke privately to his rider before returning his attention back to Assaila, pleased that she had accepted his contact. Too strong, he doesn't understand where to give. He's quite the idiot sometimes. I.. I mean not that Mine is stupid he's just... The brown's voice trailed off as he realized he had spoken ill of his rider. He had meant his social skills, not his brain. The poor dragon felt ashamed with himself. Don't tell him!
J'degar vaguelly noticed the return of the little fire lizard, but they were such a common sight that he didn't stick any real importance on Anori's reappearance. "You're excused." He said bluntly. "And excuse my dragon for being an invasion bag of hot air."

Syphraelth.... Can... you hear me...? she asked tentatively in her mind. She didn't know if a dragon could hear the thoughts of anyone other than their own rider... "You're rather right. And don't worry. I understand what you meant. It'd be nice to meet you some time, Syphraelth. You have quite the shining character." She gave a soft smile, fascinated by the dragon. Though she was still nervous all at once...
She looked sideways at J'degar for a long moment. "Oh he doesn't need to be excused for anything." She smirked at him, definitely trying to get a rise out of him now.
Anori gave a purr-like sound and rubbed his little head against the edge of her jaw adoringly. She was still looking at him seriously for the longest moment before turning towards her flitter and gently brushing his wings and along his back all the way down his tail as the flitter moved to her other shoulder and rubbed against her again. The little thing really did adore her.

Indeed. I'm sorry, I should have told you before. how rude of me. Out where he rested on a ledge, he shifted uncomfortably, feeling ashamed for having invaded her privacy. It would be a pleasure to meet the maiden who has flustered my rider so. He crooned happily at the compliment, forgetting momentarily why he had contacted her in the first place. But she liked him! How wonderful!
J'degar glared. "Of course not." he replied hotly, "He is my better half after all, isn't he." It was said with a lgiht infliction of anger; he had been told many times in the past that he should be more like his dragon. While he loved his dragon, he wasn't particularly fond of being a lazy, intrusive being. "Well excuse me for trying to be a gentleman. Now I see why I don't bother." He huffed in annoyance at the soft laughter in the back of his mind from Syphraelth. "You two seem close." He commented, watching her interactions with the little flit. Of course, he could only sound nice for so long. "You two should go find somewhere private and leave me alone."

"I dunno if I'd say better half. But he is definitely more polite than you are." She frowned at him. "And if you don't mind, I don't think I'll be going anymore more private. After all. I rather hang around with this cranky Brownrider than go hang out with just my flitter... After all... I've had what... sixteen years with that...?" She shrugged her shoulders and gave him a half smile. "Is it rude for him to speak to a non-rider like me or something....?" she asked, genuinely curious. "I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable about such things. Not having been here and seeing how lax some of the dragons are with speaking to people who aren't riders... or even other riders...." She looked at him. You could tell that she was actually more knowledgeable that she let on at the moment.
He was very handsome. Not that she would tell him that. Yes.... he was capable of scaring her... but she liked to rile him up... She liked to stand up to him. She liked to show him that there was someone willing to argue with him.
She brushed hair back behind her ear. She was quite... fiery when she was serious at times.
