R'as sighed as he finished packing up yet another box. He hadn't even realized that he had had so much stuff when he originally moved to Trelis. Thankfully though, most of the stuff had remained packed away, so that all that remained was move them. Virath crooned and chirped curiously as he watched His put all of his stuff into boxes. Mine, why are you putting all of this stuff into boxes? The ebony dragon sniffed one of the boxes tentatively, and snorted when he got a nose full of dust.
R’as laughed at his dragon, and tried to stifle the laughter by putting a hand over his mouth. I’m sorry Virath, but you have to admit that was funny. Anyways, I’m packing up all of my stuff because we won’t be staying in the Candidate Barracks anymore. We’ll be moving to the Weyrling Barracks little buddy. Virath crooned dreamily as he imagined what their room in the Weyrling Barracks. He imagined a very large room, elaborately decorated and completely furnished with a bed for His, and a very plush couch for him.
This had R’as laughing once again. He shook his head at the little dragon, and wondered just how wild his imagination could be. Just take it easy little buddy. I don’t think that’s what the Weyrling Barracks will look like. He chuckled as he spoke, and turned around to continue packing. Virath snorted when his rider laughed at his picture of what the Weyrling Barracks would look like. How did he know they wouldn’t look like that? He shook out his wings and walked over to one of the windows in the room. He lifted himself up onto his hind legs, and watched as people scrambled about getting things ready for the hatching feast.

Iirla knocked lightly at R'as door in the Candidate barracks. "Need any help?" she asked him with a smile, walking in and giving Virath a smile. "Well you are even more handsome than the last time I saw you, Virath." She grinned and looked at her brother. "Oh! And I brought Xaemia with me. I just helped her and Moth get moved in to their own barracks."
Xaemia stepped into the room with a smile and held out her hand to R'as with a smile as she wasn't really sure where he was. She had three flitters sitting on her though, one brown, one green, and an epidote who glided down to Virath and cheeped at him. "Adventure! Come back here!" Xaemia said with a laugh. "He's proving a lot harder to train than Stayn and Tizzy were... but I had them for a very long time and had help..." She smiled warmly, though her eyes weren't focused. Her little white came up behind Hers, her wings bandaged, though they definitely did not look all that good. Moth was definitely tired. But she didn't want to leave Hers. Mine! I'll show you what things look like!
Xaemia gave a gasp as she saw what her dragon saw and put a hand to her head as she smiled. "It's incredible Moth!" Moth crooned and showed her a bit more of what she saw, including R'as before she stopped for the time being. "Thank you for that little glimpse, Moth." She grinned and gently stroked her Whites head before going to where she had remembered Moth showing her where R'as was. "You are even more handsome than I had though, R'as," she said softly, and wrapped her arms around him with a warm smile. he was so short compared to him. Though her flitters coudl show her images which helped her to navigate and the like, it didn't always help that much and it was only so much...
Moth crooned happily. Hi BrotherMine! She walked over to her brother and crooned at him, no longer feeling in pain she was quite happy and though tired (and it wasn't hard to tell she was tired), she greeted her brother appreciatively and lovingly.

R’as turned around when he heard someone knocking at his door, and smiled when he saw that it was his sister. Sure, I have to make sure I have everything packed and ready to go before the feast. He smiled and looked down at the little ebony who crooned and wagged his tail happily when he got the compliment from the one his rider called, sister. At least someone appreciated him. The young weyrling shook his head and rolled his eyes at the little male, things were about to get interesting for sure.
Please don’t compliment him. You haven’t seen what he things the Weyrling Barracks will look like! R’as stuck his tongue out teasingly at the little hatchling, who hissed and turned his back on his rider. That’s not nice Mine, I am allowed to dream aren’t I? Virath snorted at his rider, and even though he had phrased that sentence as a question, he expected…no…he didn’t want a reply from him either. It wasn’t nice to judge someone else’s dream, and he would make sure that His knew that.
R’as looked up from his dragon when he heard that Iirla had brought Xaemia with her. He smiled at her, and was glad to see that she wasn’t crying anymore. I don’t know much about the little flitters, but I know they normally like food. He remembered the day when he first met Xaemia and two of her firelizards. Stayn had been the first one to come to him, and seemed to really enjoy the little meat treats that he had had with him that day. He smiled at them and chuckled at the little epidote that seemed to have no worries about his own safety.
Virath crooned loudly when he saw that his sister had also came to see them. He wagged his tail and trotted over to her as he chirped at her curiously. He could see that her wings were bandaged, but they didn’t look any better than they had when he last saw them at the feeding area by the sands. R’as raised his eyebrows when he heard her gasp, and wondered what had just happened. He hadn’t even had a chance to form the question in his mouth before she started to speak to her dragon. What exactly she had seen was something that intrigued the seventeen turn old man.
I’m not sure what moth showed you, but I don’t think I’m all that great. R’as’s voice was light and a little curious as he spoke to Xaemia. He bent down and wrapped his arms around her in a big hug, and gently lifted her up onto the bed so they could sit next to each other. It felt a little weird for him to do that, but he was slowly getting used to the fact that she was that much shorter than himself. He smiled at Xaemia before looking up at his “little” big sister. She had some explaining to do, after all, he was still confused by what she had told him down at the feeding area during the hatching.

"Oh... don't say that. I think you are. Even if Moth hadn't shown me what you look like so clearly, you still would be handsome to me even if I'd never seen you. It's the heart that makes someone handsome or beautiful." She smiled, and laughed as he lifted her off her feet and set her on the bed so he could sit down next to her. "You're so much taller than me, R'as," she commented with a big smile on her face, leaning against him gently, happy to have him by her side right now.
"I have my predictions of what will happen between the two of you, but you should be careful... both of your. You have to remember. Your dragons aren't old enough to handle much... romantic intent between two people," Iirla said, watching her brother and Xaemia with a soft smile. They were so cute and sweet and such unique people. She was a beautiful girl and he obviously liked her, even though they hadn't known each other long. They just seemed to be a perfect couple for each other. Though... that was just her opinion.
Xaemia had been about to say something about flitters when Iirla spoke up and she frowned, confused, though really, she didn't move an inch... nor did her eyes shift to look at Iirla. "What do you mean...?" she asked, her voice confused. She reached over and took hold of one of his hands gently. Was she saying she couldn't spend tiem with R'as...? No... It had to be somethign else.

R’as smiled and shook his head at Xaemia’s words. If she wanted to think of him as handsome, then so be it. After all, it didn’t seem like he could change her opinion anyways. I’m taller than a lot of people…what’s your point? His voice was light, playful, and a little teasing as he spoke to her. He chuckled a little and nudged her gently with his elbow, before laughing softly. He had never thought that anyone besides Iirla could make him feel so happy or relaxed, but then he me Xaemia and then Virath had come into his life.
R’as turned around to look at Iirla when she started to talk, and tilted his head curiously. Iirla what are you talking about? From what he could understand, him and Xaemia were just good friends. He did feel for her, but what she felt for him was a mystery. He shook his head a little as he tried to understand what it was his sister was trying to imply, but so far was having no luck. He felt Xae take his hand, and gently squeezed it. From what he could tell, she didn’t understand what his sister was trying to tell them either.
Virath crooned and wagged his tail at his sister, and gently nudged his sister’s neck. Have you seen what the Weyrling Barracks look like? I think they would look wonderful. He sent his little white sister the image he had formed from dreaming about what their new room would look like. Oh he wanted to see where he would be living so badly that he hoped his sister had seen it, and would tell him exactly how nice they were. Though he could still feel his rider’s doubts about what he thought they would look like.

"I'm shorter than almost everyone..." She grinned and gently squeezed his hand again. And that was when all the confusing things were said. Was she saying... that she needed to be careful with R'as... was it because... of how she felt about him.
"I think you guys are just too obvious. You like her R'as. And she, I'm sure, likes you... Now can we talk just plain out about the subject?" Iirla had her amrs crossed as she leaned back against the door frame.
"Um...." She looked very nervous and blushed very deeply, turning in R'as direction slightly. "I-I... um..." She leaned into him. "I... guess.... But... What about... R'as...?"
Moth giggled at her brother and showed him the picture of what the barrack that she and Hers were going to be in. It wasn't nearly as splendid as he thought. Maybe you and yours have a nicer one? she suggested with a croon and nuzzled her brother affectionately.
"You're dragons certainly are attached to one another as well... So that just makes what I'm saying more likely," Iirla said with a soft smile.

R’as rolled his eyes and shook his head at Xaemia, but smiled gently when she squeezed his hand. He still didn’t understand what his sister was talking about, but then again he didn’t understand most females so…yeah. What do you mean to obvious? Ok, now if it were humanly possible, there would be little question marks floating around his head, and at that point in time, it was bad enough he had a really dorky, confused look on his face. Oh yeah, he’s a real smart one isn’t he ladies?
R’as shrugged his shoulders at his sister’s question, he didn’t really care, but he thought it might help him figure out what on Pern was going on. I don’t care, I still don’t understand what’s going on though. He looked at his sister, the clear hopelessness that he felt was plastered all over his face. He was completely out of the loop here, they must have said something that he hadn’t paid attention to, but what was it? He started to try and think back along their conversation to figure out what it was that he had missed.
Virath plopped his butt onto the floor and slumped a little when Moth showed him the picture of the barrack. I don’t know, that is nothing at all what I had dreamed it would be. Oh well at least we’ll be able to have fun right?! He was a little sad to know that he wouldn’t be living in such a splendid place, but he figured that things could only get better as he got older. He trilled when his sister nuzzled him and his tail beat the ground happily. Actually, his entire rear end was wagging.

Xaemia blushed deeply and then started laughing. "R'as! She means that we like each other... possibly even love each other! Silly! Though... I'm not sure... how... we... truly relate to each other" She gently poked him in the side and, though she wasn't quite looking at him as she hardly ever really looked at someone.
Iirla laughed. "Is that clear enough, R'as? Women seem to get these things so much faster than men. And I guess... Xae is your little woman.... so... Just take good care of her and be careful." She rubbed the back of her head again and gently adjusted her dress ever so slightly.
"I just want you both to be careful and safe and not risk your dragons or each other."
Moth seemed to giggle at her brother, but it only took her a moment to turn back to her and wrap her tail around him. Oh! we will still have fun! I know it! It'll be wonderful, BrotherMine!
Xaemia smiled at her dragoness and Virath. "They certainly do seem to get along, don't they?" she said with a smile. She wasn't really looking at them, but she was still very... confused and she just simply couldn't wait for this to all get over with... it was so awkward.
((Sorry... short again. ^^'; ))

R’as looked down at Xaemia when she started laughing. When her words finally hit him, his cheeks turned seven shades of red in two seconds flat. Had she just said love each other?! He felt like a brick had been dropped on his head from a hundred stories above him. He shook his head, and tried to make sense about what was going on. Did that mean that Xaemia loved him? How did he feel about her? Did he love her? How could he tell?! He had so many questions he wanted to ask, but how could he ask his sister, and the woman he supposedly loved?
R’as looked like he was ready to pass out from all the hard work his brain was doing, and he swore they would be able to hear the gears turning inside of his head. At that point in time he was no longer really himself. It was as if someone turned all the lights on in a house, then just left. He looked down at his ebony dragon when his sister spoke about them. It was as if he was looking at him, but not really seeing Virath. His mind was still trying to process all the questions that had just flooded it with the recent knowledge he had gained.
Virath crooned and playfully nudged Moth’s neck, and his tail was still beating the ground happily. I think there might be something wrong with Mine. The little ebony looked over at his rider and cocked his head to the side. He was feeling the confusion that he felt, and even heard some of the questions that he was asking himself. He doesn’t know how to tell. His voice was curious, and a little worried as he spoke to his sister. He wasn’t sure if she could help His or not, but at that point he just wanted the questions to stop.

Xaemia giggled. "R'as... Stop trying to figure it out... she's just warning us just in case." She still blushed, "looking" down. "Um... Are you okay, R'as?" she said softly, reaching up and touching his face again. "R'as... Are you okay...?" She was worried about him because... he seemed to have just stopped functioning. "Iirla... I think... he's a bit broken..."
Virath's... Virath's it's okay. No more questions. You are hurting your Virath's head... My brotherVirath is not understanding. XaemiaMine... tell him.
Iirla snapped her fingers. "R'as! R'as! Pern to R'as?" she said with a soft smile. "One question at a time and say them outloud. Or would you rather I left the two of you to talk for awhile?"
Moth crooned to her brother and rubbed against him. BrotherMine... Are you okay, Brothermine? she said to her brother, her own tail wagging slightly as she tried to encourage Hers and His and Him.
Xaemia gently laced her fingers with R'as once she found his hand. IT felt funny. But she was trying to get him to... think more...
((Short. ack! >.<))

R’as heard Xaemia’s voice, but it sounded so far away. He was still looking at Virath, who crooned sadly. Mine everything will be ok, please no more. The pain in his dragon’s voice had him blinking, and slowly bringing himself back to reality, then he heard Moth, and his sister both of them were talking to him. He slowly shook his head, and looked at each one of them, his eyes starting to clear, and focus starting to return to not only his eyes, but his brain as well.
W-w-what? I-I-I…sorry. He still sounded like he wasn’t totally there, but it was obvious he was slowly regaining himself. He felt something in his hand, and looked down to see that Xaemia had laced her fingers with his own. A slow smile spread across his face. That’s when he knew it, that’s when he realized he really did love the little woman, and that he would do anything for her. And like that, it seemed like he was glowing with realization, and wonder. Had it really taken him this long to realize it?
Virath crooned and trilled and bugled happily when His finally returned to himself and all the confusing thoughts stopped hurting his brain. He felt the feelings of love, and caring that His had for Moth’s rider, and looked at his sister with the draconic equivalent of an ear-to-ear smile on his face. Mine is very happy now! But…I am hungry again…can we eat now? The little ebony turned and looked from his sister, to each of the humans that were in the room. Soft rumbling noises could be heard coming from his stomach, and he wondered if they would feed him or not.

"R'as...?" Xaemia was confused. She could practically feel him glowing. She had to laugh at the little ebony though. "Don't worry... we'll get you food soon." Xae gently reached a hand up to his face and gently touched his cheek, feeling his smile on his face. She wondered what had him smiling so much all of a sudden.
"R'as... do you understand what I mean now...?" Iirla said softly to her brother as she looked at the couple as the ysat on the bed. "You best be careful... both of you. And.... I think you need to tell her R'as... then we should get Virath and Moth some food and make our way to the party... Oh! And I need to help Xae get ready!" Now she was fretting about things and rambling, but Xaemia didn't seem to hardly notice.
Xaemia was smiling warmly, her flitters flying about the room in excitement and Moth crooning at the warm feelings coming from Hers.
Mine is very happy too... I do not think they are listening right now. She pawed at her brother lovingly. I am hungry too, though... She looked at her brother with a very happy expression, her eyes whirling excitedly and her tail wagging. Itw as a good thing she couldn't feel her tattered wings.
Xaemia leaned against R'as.
She rather enjoyed being close to R'as. She loved him, but... she still hadn't said it as of yet.
