Iirla was still crying as she ran down to Vl'kan's room, not even bothering to knock or pause as she rushed in and rushed right to him. "Vl'kan!" she said, wrapping her arms around him, sobbing. "What was I supposed to tell him... H ew as going to leave. I'm such a fool, Vl'kan!" She covered her face, ashamed of herself. "I... Oh... Vl'kan.. He was waiting for me. He was waiting for me when I came back..."
She was there, pressing into his chest. "I'm such a fool. I just... gave him what he wanted Vl'kan... he was going to leave! But I don't want that! I love you. I want to be with you." She bit her lip. He had told D'rian what he wanted to hear. She looked at him pleadingly.
She didn't expect him to forgive her or expect him to even want her around. Not after what she had just done. She expected him to be angry. She was still dressed in her wet clothing, her hair still plastered to her face. She was a mess and her clothing was in a total disarray. She looked at him, as vulnerable as she could ever be. She wanted him. she had come to him in hopes that... if she told him he wouldn't be angry with her. That he would forgive her and they coudl still be together. She cared about D'rian as a friend... but the thing was... she didn't love him like she loved Vl'kan. She truly loved Vl'kan.
She wrapped her arms around herself, her nails digging into her forearms and causing small cuts and blood to show around where her nails dug into her flesh... She didn't notice. She was cold and numb and she was afraid of what she had done. She had screwed up with D'rian... but... the fact of the matter was.... she did love Vl'kan. That was all she wanted was to be with Vl'kan. But... would he think the same thing as D'rian had... that he was fool and she didn't love him?

It wasn’t hard to hear what had gone on. The gold and bronzerider weren’t exactly quiet with their little encounter. Thormyth snorted and snaked his head into the room where he could watch His carefully. For once though, the garnet was silent. No sinister thoughts, no bloodthirsty words filled the mans head. No, instead, in this moment, he chose to be the wall of strength and protection for the Istan man.
Vl’kan was numb and cold as he absentmindedly scratched the eye ridges of the massive head that was currently lying beside him. He scoffed to himself and shook his head as his own thoughts grew dark and twisted. He knew it had to have been a dream, a fake, a scam. Nothing ever goes that right in his life. “Thormyth I’m an idiot…” Mumbling lowly he threw himself back on his bed and stared up at the dark ceiling.
The silence didn’t last long however as suddenly his door burst open. Immediately Thor’s head shot up and offered the girl a low warning growl. Vl’kan dropped his eyes the moment he realized it was her as for the first time she was actually the last person he wanted to see right now. “Iirla…I can’t do this right now.” He would have gone on to say more but by now she was already clutching at his shirt and spilling her guts on what she had to say.
What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to say? After just hearing her say that she loved and trusted another man…the exact same line she had fed to him not even a candle mark ago? Was he supposed to just forgive it all and welcome her back openly? After hearing all that, how were things supposed to work now? Vl’kan sighed and ruffled his hair in frustration. What do I do now?
A few moments passed and eventually she pulled away to wrap her arms tightly around herself. That’s when he noticed she was still wearing the same wet clothes she had been wearing back on the beach. Finally getting to his feet, he pulled one of the furs off his bed and moved to wrap it around her shoulders to try and warm her up. There was no sense in her getting sick again.
“I don’t know what you want me to say…” He was hurt, confused, torn, and upset. He knew what he wanted to do; take her in his arms and promise that everything would be okay. For now he just couldn’t find those words. “Are you going to run back to him every time he pitches a fit and threatens to leave?”

She searched his face, shivering under the furs he had wrapped around her. "No. No. I am not. Never again. Vl'kan... I love you... I want to love you and be in love with only you I just...." She shook her head. "I'm a fool. I just... I feel bad for hurting him. But... When it comes down to who I love... who I want to love forever... It's you." She shivered again. "Vl'kan whatever you heard.... I'm sorry for whatever you heard. I... I would understand if you never forgave me..." She had calmed down a bit now. She had calmed down enough to really think about what was being said. "Please... What can I do to prove it to you... I will do anything Vl'kan... anything... Even if that something were to let Thormyth tear me to shreds right here and now."
She looked down at her hands, not wanting him to see her cry again. Oh Faranth... Why did this have to be difficult. "I'll go and tell him the truth right now, Vl'kan..."
She felt as Praesent popped into the room above her head and landed beside her, rubbing against her and around her. This was His and she needed love. SHe needed his support. She needed love in general. He cheeped curiously at Vl'kan and wrapped his tail around His' neck possessively and looked at Thormyth with a slight hiss. "Shhh... Praesent," Iirla said, hardly paying attention to the little blue flitter who had come to comfort her.
She put her hands on the ground and seemed to bow to him. "Vl'kan... please...?" She might as well be bowing to him, putting her fate in his hands now. She bit her lip for the moment, though... alls she wanted was for him to say it would be okay and that they could work it out.

He shifted his weight from one foot to the other as all the “I’m sorry” and “pleases” came about. He grappled with himself mentally as half of him wanted to give in already and forgive her while the other half was beginning to think solitude wasn’t so bad after all. Why was this so difficult? He groaned and rubbed at his face as inner fight continued to rage on.
Always delighted to be of service. Thormyth hissed dangerously before his eyes snapped to the blue flit and he drew his tongue across his fangs, just waiting for the moment to strike.
That was it, things were already crazy enough without her offering herself to his dragon as a midnight snack! “Thormyth! No! Iirla…don’t encourage him.” The feisty garnet snarled at the command but reluctantly withdrew his head from the room and curled up on his couch to watch. “Silly girl, get off the floor.”
Lowering his voice he bent down and took her by the hands before gently helping her to her feet. She shook lightly in his grip and at first he wasn’t sure if it was a shiver from the cold or simply the stress of it all, either way he found himself wrapping her in his arms and pulling her close to him. “Silly girl, you really think I’d be any better if he took a bite out of you?” Shaking his head, he held her tighter as he felt her shiver again. “I only just got you in my life. I don’t think I’m ready to lose you just yet…”

"Vl'kan..." She looked up at him, her eyes wide... and then he was helping her to her feet and wrapping his arms around her. "I don't want to ever go a day without you again, Vl'kan..." She said softly. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, shaking in his grasp. "I won't encourage him. I promise." She looked at Thor for a moment and shuddered again. She had really offered to let him maul her... but... She had to make sure that Vl'kan knew how serious she was. How much she loved him. "Vl'kan..." she said in a whisper, holding onto him tightly, as if for dear life. A sob racked her body, but she was glad her head was tucked against his shoulder so that he could not see that that was teh cuase of htis particular shudder.
Nor more of this. She had her garnetrider now. She had her Istan boy... The man she had always been so aware of. It was so hard to see him in the shadows up until now. "What now, Vl'kan...?" she whispered softly to him, just wanting to stay right there in his arms. "I want what you want. I want to make you happy... my dearest garnetrider."
She looked at Thormyth again. "He hasn't been plotting with Izy lately, has he...?" she asked Vl'kan softly, looking up into his green eyes with her own brown ones, a soft and vulnerable light in her eyes. Like she was letting him see deep into her very soul.

As she returned his embrace he felt himself relax a little once again. He was still a little hurt though and probably always would be. Smiling tiredly he hugged her tighter, still trying to warm her up. “What do I want?” Vl’kan repeated her word slowly as he tried to figure out his own answer but really, there wasn’t one. A lazy shrugged rolled off his shoulders as he looked back down at her. “I don’t need anything else to be happy. I’ve got a formidable dragon, an odd fuzzy little huntyre, and now…well, now I’ve got you.” Another half shrug before he pressed his lips gently to her still wet and sand dotted hair. “I think I’ve got everything I need.”
“No he hasn’t, at least I don’t think so anyways.” Vl’kan glanced over at his moody garnet and shook his head. “Though I suppose by now if they had the whole Weyr would have been turned on its head in one way or another.” As suddenly remembering their young golden queen, Vl’kan released his hold on her and took an uncertain step back. After all she was still younger then Thor, not by much yes but there was still a difference and he didn’t want to the one who upset the gold.
“Speaking of which is…is she alright? Ah, you know,” he nervously rubbed the back of his neck as he gestured to the both of them. “With this? Umm...with us?”

"I love you, Vl'kan..." she said softly, smiling as she felt him kiss her hair. She looked up at him and gently stroked his cheek with her thumb like she had on the beach, her eyes warm and searching. His green eyes were beautiful and seemed almost fathomless.
She laughed slightly. "Then I think that we may have to worry about what's going to happen when they and we spend more time together. Though I'm more afraid they'll get into trouble... She certainly has a soft spot for him..." She looked at the garnet curiously. He certainly was handsome and beautiful garnet dragon. But... he couldn't rival his rider.
Then he was stepping back. "Honestly... I don't think she cares too much right now. She was mad at first because... She and Kelath are close and she wanted me to love D'rian.... but... She always knew... Probably better than I did... I don't think you need to worry about it too much... Vl'kan."
Thormyth. Do not eat mine please, but please would you be so kind to deal with that little green thing that has caused me no end of pain. And Thormyth's. I am okay with mine loving you... If you don't hurt her and she doesn't hurt you. I am getting tired of his back and forth. Take good care of her.
The gold settled herself in her couch in her weyr. Stay with her and be honest and teach her to be honest. Now go hug her or kiss her already like I'm sure you want to!
The gold's voice was irritable, but rather passive. "Well... I guess she decided to insert her two cents...." Iirla gave a nervous laugh and tried to run her hand through her hair, which was not an easy task with how tangled it was with salt water in it.

Don’t you attempt at playing ‘match-maker’ with me! I’ve seen your thoughts, they are stomach churning at best. Thormyth growled from his couch but still refused to move, not taking his eyes off the either of them. She thought she could just waltz in and steal His away from him?! He had found the Istan when he had been left with nothing except hate and disgust for all those who had wronged him. He had promised His retribution and revenge, and even now he still saw all the dark and despicable thoughts that snaked through His’ mind. This one would not take that away from him! Another snarl formed in the garnets throat as he snapped his tail against the floor with such intensity that a few items were rattled off the bookcase.
Vl’kan visibly swallowed as he looked to where Thor was curled on his couch. The pure fire and intensity of his companions emotions was almost enough to knock him off his feet. Clearing his throat, he chose to ignore the garnets rage at the moment and instead moved about the room to pick up the few things that had fallen to the floor.
“I don’t know… Their personalities are complete opposites almost.” He shrugged and rubbed at his chin. “Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out.” Then Izanycorth’s voice was intruding in his mind and he stopped to listen to what the young gold had to say. “Well, I think I better do as she says before she eats me.” Grinning a little nervously he stepped up to her again and brushed her lips in a soft kiss.
“Now, did you want to get out of those wet clothes? I’ve got a spare shirt lying around if you want…” It was just an offer as he knew full well her room was just a quick walk down the hall, but still it’s the thought that counts….right?

"I hope I haven't upset him..." She said, looking towards Thormyth, though she didn't fear him. She would never fear him, even if she were to end up in his stomach... Which might be quite foolish. She gave him a look that was devious and dark.
"I think... they may be more alike than you might think..." she said, wrapping her arms around herself. "Dark... devious.... She just covers it up well. She loves to plot with him. And she loves his aggression. I don't know that they'd ever really enjoy being around each other... unless they were plotting doom and destruction..." She sighed and shook her head, just looking at the angry Garnet without a hint of fear. She wondered what he would think if Iz actually tried to command him like a gold was supposed to boe able to... because... unless a dragon was truly messed up... and unless they wanted to suffer damage or were already damaged in their mind... it was impossible for a dragon to defy a gold... unless their own queen gave an order against a gold that they did not fall under the authority of. It made her head hurt to think about all that. But that was beside the point at the moment. Of course, he would hate her forever if she ever did try it.
Izanycorth snorted. Whatever hers wanted to believe.
She smiled softly. "We'll just have to see what happesn and how things play out... most definitely... My darling Garnet rider..." she said softly, watching him. Her eyes fluttered closed as his lips brushed hers in a gentle kiss. "That's what she wanted you to do..?" she said softly, smiling as she stepped forward and gently kissed him again. Her lips felt like they were tingling and her heart was beating fast, even though it was only the briefest of kisses.
"I would love to get out of these close and into something dry and warm..." she smiled at him, blushing slightly. That's right... she was still a mess.

“No, don’t worry about it. He’ll be fine, I’m sure.” He spoke as if he were trying to convince himself but still mustered up a reassuring smile for her. “Doom and destruction is his forte. Never pictured Izanycorth to fall on that side on things…” Another shrug before he crossed his arms over his chest.
As strange as his mind works, he wasn’t actually expecting her to lean in so eagerly and return his kiss. He should really learn to expect these things really. He found himself melting just that little bit more at her touch and by the time she pulled away he was close to grinning like a fool. Then she was speaking up again and he quickly snapped out of his little daydream and nodded.
Walking across the room he stopped in front of a dresser and knelt down as he pulled out the bottom drawer. “Clean shirt…clean shirt…” Muttering to himself he began to pull out and inspect the clothes that were stuck in the drawer and made a mental note to get some washing done soon. “Ah, here we go!” Turning around he held a clean white shirt in one hand and a towel in the other and held them out for her to take.
“Umm….it’s probably going to be big but it’ll be better then the wet sticky clothes you’ve got on.” Mustering up half a shrug, as he knew full well that shirt was going to be too big for her, Vl’kan walked over to the other side of the room again and this time turned around so his back was too her, offering her some privacy.

"You'd be surprised... She is... not your typical gold. More of a rebel.... at best." She sighed, not wanting to think of that super aggressive streak in her dragoness. "She really isn't what people think she is..."
She took the towel and the shirt gratefully. "Thank you, Vl'kan." She smiled warmly at him and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before turning and changing, removing her wet clothing and drying herself off thorougly, including her still wet hair and attempting to get some of the sand out of it as well as some of the tangles before pulling the shirt over her head and walked up slowly to Vl'kan, barefoot and wearing just his shirt, which covered her very well. She wrapped her arms around his middle and gently kissed the back of his neck.
"You can look now if you want to..." she said softly, feeling tired, though she was far too happy and tuning on too many emotions to really feel entirely tired at that moment. She still had her arms wrapped around him, her head on his back, though she wasn't holding him too tightly.
"What do you think we should do right now, Vl'kan...?" she asked him quietly. She wanted him to be the boss when it came to the two of them. That was what she really wanted quite honestly.
Izanycorth curled up on her couch in their weyr and seemed to go back to sleep. That alone started to make Iirla feel more tired. But she didn't want to leave Vl'kan... she didn't want to go back to her own room... Not unless he wanted her too, she guessed.
