At a fairly even 5ft 9in, Sh'ay is about average for a pernese man. What isn't average though, is his coloring. His hair is a reddish, chestnut brown that tends to stick out at odd angles and curls at the nape of his neck. It also drastically stands out against his grayish, blue eyes.
His skin is a pale snowy white color, a hue that almost never tans but instead burns. It makes him look sickly at times if he isn't careful to be animated enough, and once when he was napping he even heard someone ask if he was dead. The bluerider is a lanky person too, being mostly leg. He does have his more muscular points though, and can easily hold his own in a fight if he must.
As far as clothing goes, he wears mostly darker colors, with a few lighter things thrown in. He always wears thick boots and a few wherhide bracelets and a choker though.
Personality
Blunt, Personable, Sly, Mischevious, Intelligent, Aggressive in a passive way, Jester, Flirty, Laid-back, Underdoes things, Diligent when he's forced to be, Doesn't trust easily, Goes from one relationship to the next easily, Doesn't like staying in one place for too long.
Sh'ay isn't the first person you'd think of as being a good teacher. In fact, when Inali heard that he had been the one sent to fill in Alyara's spot, she was shocked. The bluerider is personable and can easily socialize with others, but he has a horrible habit of being too blunt. Nothing is a topic that he won't breach, and his opinion is always law in his mind. Besides this, Sh'ay is a trickster. He likes to manipulate, play games, and he likes to make people think.
The boy's intelligent enough to make it work too. However, he never used it for the good of things, and often is too lazy to solve other people's problems. Sh'ay can also be aggressive, but it's usually passive aggression. He will jest and say something offhandedly, but he seldom throws the first punch. If someone else starts the fight then, well, it's free game.
Instead of being an over-achiever, Sh'ay has a habit of under doing things. He's incredibly lazy because of it, and only does something if he's made to do it. This gets him into a lot of trouble...and I mean A LOT of trouble. Often it is through neglecting his rider duties, but also in relationships he will drop the ball and not work hard enough to keep them going.
It's partially because he doesn't trust anyone easily. He prefers to just move quickly from one person to another, and likes his promiscuous life style. It doesn't matter who he's with either, age or gender. The one thing you can count on with Sh'ay is he will be in one relationship one day, and three days later he'll be in an all new one.

History
Sh'ay was born in Ruatha Hold when his father went to seek out candidates. Instead, the brownrider found a temporary fling and the girl ended up with child because of it, and Sh're went back to Benden Weyr. Sh'ay never met his father till later when he went to be a candidate there himself, however he always knew about him. Not that he liked knowing that his father didn't care enough to help his mother though. Besides that fact, he hated the man because he blames him for Avra's death. Sh'ay, then Shayra, was born one Spring night, and his mother was lost in labor.
Because of this, the boy was raised in the hold with other children, but was lucky *or perhaps unlucky* enough to be told his heritage. When Shayra turned 13, he begged the hold to send him to the Weyr. After all, he had rider blood in his veins, and he wanted to see what the other half lived like. So, he went to Benden, and instantly started to cause trouble.
Not long before his first hatching, Shayra had become involved with a bronzerider, a greenrider, and a drudge. All at the same time. Such things weren't uncommon in a Weyr, but as a candidate they were still looked down upon. Thankfully, not long after Shayra stood on the sands for his first clutch and met his lifemate Zenith. The blue took the boy by the horns so to speak and attempted to turn Sh'ay's life around. When that didn't work, Zenith decided it was better to just join him.
Off they went, and before their third turn they had moved to four different Weyrs because of different scandals they had committed. Finally, in Sh'ay's 22nd turn, he had landed in Ista Weyr. Naturally, Ulme didn't want him either, and when the Istan Weyrwoman heard that Inali needed more potential weyrlingmasters, she sent the bluerider, and the Trelis Weyrwoman accepted.
That was probably the worse mistake of her life....

Appearance
Light-weight, slim in proportions, long limbs, angled wings, fast at turns and acrobatics, fairly basic looking hide.
Zenith is not the largest blue, but he is not the smallest either. Coming in at a 26.7 foot length, he is somewhere in the middle with slim proportions to match. This extends to his legs and tail, giving him a lanky look like his rider even though he really is no taller than any average blue. He just has a smaller torso so it seems that way. His wings are also proportioned to his size, and are angled for acrobatic flying, though they tire more with longer flights.
In terms of his hide, Zenith is fairly basic. It is mainly a teal blue that has a silver tinge to it, and it creeps around his limbs and wings, blanketing the majority of his muscle. The underside of his belly and a thick band around his neck however are a lighter cyan color that shines against the duller teal.
Personality
Gruff, matter-of-fact, old-soul, Easily Annoyed, Stalwart and Steadfast, No-Nonsense
Zenith is as blunt as his rider, without any of the coyness to lighten the blow. If he sees it, he says it plain and simple. Besides that though, he tends to be full of himself often poking at others to make himself seem better. This is most common with other blues and browns, and less with the larger or newer colors though. The blue likewise is easily annoyed and won't stop at trying to simply snap at someone if he's irritated. No, you can expect a tail slap or some such thing instead. He doesn't change his opinions easily either, and is quite set in his ways like an old man, yet he is incredibly young and immature when it comes to flirting. Zenith won't go for any nonsense though, and cuts to the chase when a job is needing to be done.
