Name:
Rayas {R'as}
Pronunciation:
Ray - as
Age:
17 Turns
Season Born In:
Summer
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Bisexual {Female Preference}
Appearance:
Rayas is 6'1" and weights 160 pounds. He is tall, and thin, with very long legs. He has short, sandy blonde hair that he let's hang wherever it pleases. As far as he can remember, his hair's always been like that. He also has pale green eyes that always seem to shine. He is very expressive, so don't be surprised to see him smiling one moment, then scowling the next. It can be quite confusing to some, but to those that know him, it's just normal.
Rayas usually wears baggy clothes because he says they're more comfortable than tighter clothes. He's almost always wearing pants and boots, and will very rarely wear anything dressy. He doesn't like dress clothes because he thinks they make them stand out, something he really doesn't like. He usually is also wearing darker colors like black, dark blue, brown and the like. He's always wearing boots, even his dress shoes are boots. No one really understands why, not even himself.
Personality:
Rayas is a very happy, and friendly person. He almost always sees the glass as half-full, and loves to cheer others up. He loves making his friends laugh, but doesn't consider himself a clown. Though...some of his friends would beg to differ. He can be very goofy, even a little ditsy, but don't let that fool you. He is actually a very intelligent person, even if it doesn't seem like it when you meet him.
Rayas is very energetic...as long as it's after eleven in the morning, and before midnight at night. Those are the times when he's really lazy, and doesn't want to do anything. When he isn't thinking about food, which is very rarely, he's usually thinking of ways to have fun. Or get in trouble, whichever comes first really. Normally the later happens well before the former. Though, that almost never bothers him, and for some reason he always finds a way to weasel himself out of big trouble.
Even though he can be a real clown, he's actually very polite, and knows his manners. He's a real loyal guy, and would never turn his back on a friend. After all, he was taught to treat others the way he wanted to be treated. He's also very respectful, and tries hard not to encroach on another person's personal space. Key word, tries. he's not always successful though, and always apologizes if he hurts someone's feelings, or upsets them.

Leyanas - Mother - 46 - Head Cook
Location:
Southern - Trelis
Rank:
Dragon Weyrling
History
Rayas was born to the head cook of Southern Weyr, and Brown rider Ar'rex. Needless to say he's spent more time with his mother than his father. His two parents met after a queen flight eighteen turns ago. As far as he knows, neither of his parents have had much contact with each other after that day. His mother returned to her duties as the head cook, and his father went back to being a dragon rider. He does know that his mother has never sought out his father.
Rayas' mother never really told him much about who his father was, except that he was an exceptional brown rider. So he spent most of his free time pretending he knew his father, and acting as though they spent a great deal of time together. Then, the turn of his twelfth birthday, he got the chance to meet his father face to face at the fall gather. Rayas was there to help his mother serve food and drinks, and unfortunately he got saddled with the job of handing out cups of klah and wine.
Rayas was on his way back to talk to his mother when he saw her talking to a strange man. After cautiously sneaking closer to the two adults, his mother finally noticed him, and called him over. He was introduced to Ar'rex, and the man was introduced to his son. From that day on, Rayas has done everything he could to make his father proud of him. When he became a candidate, he thought the man would be happy, but till this day, Rayas is still unsure of whether or not his father is proud of him.
When Rayas' father was declared Weyrleader of Trelis, he did everything he could to get transferred over so that he could stay somewhat close to his father, and prove to him that he would become a great dragon rider some day. When he found out that his request to be transferred had been accepted, it didn't take him long to pack all of his things, and get ready for the trip to his new home, and the continuation of his dreams to gain his father's approval.

Dragon
Ebony Virath
Pronunciation: Veer-ah-th
Age: Hatchling
Rank:Ebony
Size: 23.7 Feet
Color Codes:
Base: 232323
Appearance:
Like many of the new colors, Virath is a perfect example of an Ebony dragon. They are between Blues and Whites in size, ranging from a small Blue to a Large White. Virath himself is about 23.7 ft. He has long proportions, and seems lanky and thin all the time. You will never see this dragon have any sort of additional fat to him.
Personality:
Dreamer, loving and unrealistic; these all describe Virath. The embodiment of hope, he's a fleeting thing; here one moment and gone the next. Though warm while around, he is incapable of acting on his own and will sooner hide away than fight someone. If he is backed though, he will gladly stand for what he believes in. Besides this, Virath often can be found getting lost in thought. He’ll apologize afterwards, but he can’t help it. He likes to think about what things could be like, especially if he wasn’t so shy. However, he is shy…very shy. He likes people when they come to him, but if he’s the one having to start a conversation, no way no how. This is especially with females. *If you’ve seen Big Bang Theory, he’s like Raj. He can’t talk to girls easily unless he’s “drunk” on flightlust.*
Mind-Voice:
I love you so much, you're just what I wanted. Oh...I'm Virath by the way.
Happy, and yet sorrowful at the same time, Virath's voice is that of the old man thinking wistfully about something. Yet, it's in a youngster's voice. It's amazingly high-pitched for what one might expect as well.
Why:
You have hopes too Mine, and I know that you understand me when I say I want to do things. You'll be there to push me into the fray, and you'll never leave me. Of this I am absolutely sure. You want to prove something, and I want to help you, together we will make all our wishes come true.
