Talvi sighed as she made her way back to her weyr. Her green dragon had been sleeping for almost a week now, and had been shining for much longer than that. Unfortunately for Talvi, she knew what that meant. Frenath was going to fly soon. She had been more affected by her dragon's feelings than she would have liked, and was afraid that she had chased away all of her friends because of her moodiness. She sighed as she entered her room, and stopped mid-step at what she saw. Frenath was standing on her ledge, gazing down at the heardbeasts below her. She had been sleeping for so long, and could feel the energy bubbling inside her. She was hungry, and needed to feast. She roared angrily into evening sky. Talvi ran over to where her dragon was standing, and was thankful that the sky was clear of any storm clouds. That would give Frenath a better chance than if it had been raining. Not paying attention to her rider, the green lept from her ledge. Frenath flew silently into the pen where the wherries were, and roared loudly when she landed on her first kill. ONLY BLOOD IT FRENATH!!!!!! BLOOD IT!!!!!!!!!!! Talvi was hanging dangerously far over Frenath's ledge as she screamed at her dragon over their bond. Frenath hissed angrily at the words in her head, but she did as she was told. She lifted her head, and roared once again when she had finished blooding her fourth kill. Frenath bugled loudly as she lept into the sky. COME AND FLY ALL CHALLENGERS!!!!!!!! Her voice was a challenge that was meant to echo in the minds of all the males in and around the Weyr. She beat her green wings fast and hard as she climbed higher, and higher in the sky above the Weyr. COME AND SHOW ME WHO THE REAL KING IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talvi had a feeling she was going to regret her dragon's words, but at the moment she didn't care. Talvi was still hanging dangerously far out from Frenath's ledge. There was a seductive smile on her face as she felt the wind blow through her medium-long blonde hair, and she loved it. She felt as though she was flying with Frenath, riding on the green's back. She could feel the energy and strength that the blood from Frenath's victim's had caused. She felt as though she could fly, and was tempted to try it, but she also had a stronger urge to stay in her weyr, and wait for the males to show up.

Greenrider, lovely as could be, Won't you help me to see? Dance, and sing, and fly away, Hear the words I whisper, that I say...
K'torLoveMine?
K'tor grumbled in his napping state. With Ad'os being back, and ready to take over the candidate lessons again, he had a lot more free time. Which, naturally meant more time to sleep as well. Oh, that he enjoyed quite a bit. Grumbling again as his blue tried to reach out for him, K'tor shook his head. "Wha' you wan?" His voice was groggy in the midst of his half-sleep state.
There's a Green flying LoveMine. Frenath I believe....yes, it is! I'm going to fly with her K'tor. I'm going to catch her!
K'tor waved his hand from his place under his covers, the sun setting on the other side of his dragon's cave. Should he be in the kitchens right now eating? Probably. Should he have gone to practice with his wing that afternoon...yeah. Did he? Nope. Smiling wirly at himself, the bluerider knew he'd catch trouble for that, but could honestly care less.
Let the wingleader be mad. He was the last thing anyone would think about. "WAIT YOU'RE DOING WHAT NOW!?!?!?!" Standing up in bed, K'tor ran a restless hand through his hair. Three minutes after his dragon had announced his meaning to chase and had left, K'tor finally registered the fact. "Oh shards and shells by Faranth's first egg!" Throwing the covers off, K'tor headed out to where Talvi's room was. He hadn't been there personally before, but he knew where her Wing slept, and she'd be the one that the other riders were flocking to.
Reaching the room, the bluerider thrummed his fingers against the doorframe, smirking as he looked in and didn't find her. "Talvi? Oh where could you be?" His voice was light, playful. Stepping in, the bluerider glanced around, seeing he was the first to arrive. He liked that, it meant they'd have a tiny bit of alone time. Going out to her green's cave, K'tor nodded when he found her on the ledge. Moving to pull her away, just in case she got any ideas, he smiled at her again. "My dear greenrider, I promise it's more fun to fly with a partner than by yourself...especially from this height."
Meanwhile, Zaranth crooned as his light blue form shot after the darker one of Frenath. He was buzzing with excitement, loving the feeling of wind against his wings, and thermals pushing him up. Where to, lovely Green? Where will you take me to on this wonderful evening?
Greenrider, oh lovely girl, I see your dragon, dance and swirl. In the darkening, scarlet sky, Stay with me a while, your champion shall be I.

Vinerath's brown head shot up. Frenath! Frenath was flying! Go to Talvi's Weyr. NOW!!! his dragon gave a mighty roar and fell from the ledge of his Weyr before climbing up after the lovely green. I will follow you where you wish to go Frenath! I will follow you to the ends of Pern!!
There was already a blue there. He hissed at him before focusing once more on the bright beacon that was Frenath. Her hide was lovely and glistening in the faint light that came through the clouds and rain. Lovely. Utter loveliness. He started a song then. A song he hoped would please her. Frenath, you are beauty... he crooned to her, though words were sparce as he sang.
You're my angel, you see me through Believe in me, I'll believe in you Oh fill my heart from your loving well You're my angel
A'vin wasted no time, picking himself up from where he had been resting and heading for Talvi's weyr at a dead run. He was not the first there. But he would not be the last. He found himself singing with his dragon, humming to her at the least, but his mind was quickly being pulled up and up by his dragon to the skies above. He felt hte power, the strength of his wings. The way the air flowed in and out of his lungs... and yet... he saw the most beautiful creature in the weyr. Who was thinking about who was a confusing mess, but he knew that, for him, it was Talvi, and for his dragon, it was Frenath. There were no others.
Pick me up when i'm feeling down When I stumble on shaky ground Oh you;re my answer when I cant tell You're my angel
Vinerath pumped his marble-patterned wings harder. She was the one picking up his heart and carrying him onward, higher and higher into the sky. The ground was becoming a shaky and unstable place for A'vin as he was caught somewhere in the middle, attempting to keep his focus for Talvi even as his dragon pulled him upward, chasing the angel on green wings. The only angel anywhere on Pern or in her skies.
Oh you take me up to heaven When you spread your loving wings
Each beat of her lovely green wings could have taken his breath away if it hadn't been for the fact that he needed it to continue to chase, to make his own wings beat, his chest to move up and down, to allow him to chase. He crooned to her, a lovely tune which her own wingbeats inspired.
When I am weary and way behind When I am clearly out of my mind Oh when I find I'm in my hell You're my angel Oh you're my angel (Brooks and Dunn, You're My Angel)
He wasn't tired yet, but even if he were, he would continue to chase for her. He would continue even when he felt like he was going until his wings fell off. And he told her so. Perhaps it was too soon? But was it ever too soon to show a lovely dragoness how devoted a male was to her? Was it ever bad to repeat it too many times? He didn't know, but he supposed he would find out. He would find out at the end of her flight. The wounderous event that took the skies above the Weyr, above Pern, and captured it in its awe. Which made her queen of them all. Queen of these skies. She was, to him, at least, a queen this very night.
Hail, storm, and wind hellfire come and angel's doubt, unwavering heart beats, wing beats without end (~Zara)

Ad’os sat back as Soheath circled lazily above the Weyr, the boy stretching his arms out with a satisfying sigh. They had gone out for a short flight just to relax. Things had been hectic lately, and since the Ista incident, neither rider or brown had felt like they had any chance to truly calm down and relax. Soheath banked suddenly to the left, causing Addy to flail wildly in an attempt to grab hold of something, despite being securely strapped in. Warn me next time Soh! He reprimanded, still confused. The brown turned down towards one of the Weyr ledges, definitely not their own. Frenath rises. I will give chase. Addy gulped as Talvi’s weyr drew closer. Soheath hadn’t chased since the incident with Avirith… he could only hope the same thing didn’t happen again. Soheath grumbled irritably. They touched down a moment later, and the brown gave Addy only enough time to unstrap and slide off his back before taking off after the green and her suitors.
He dipped off the ledge, using the momentum to gain speed for rising after Frenath, taking note of the current competition; a brown and a blue. Fair competition, but he would show them. No sweet words were called to the green, nor were any challenges roared at the other competitors. Instead, eyes on the target, he simply bugled lightly to alert her of his presence, to let her know he too was chasing. The bulky brown had never been one to speak much.
Ad’os covered his face with an arm as Soheath’s take off sent a bit of dust flying up, sighing as the brown form grew smaller in the distance. He turned around, noticing then how close everyone was to the ledge. “Sorry to intrude.” He said sheepishly before Soheath’s mind took over his, replacing his vision of the humans with that of the sky and the dragons, beneath him was not the stone floor of the green’s weyr, it was the endless sky, far above the Weyr. Ad’os-Soheath grinned, and stepped closer to the rest of the humans as his wings brought him nearer the group of dragons.

Frenath crooned as one after the other, her suitors started to show themselves. She could still feel the warm rays of the sun, even though it was half-way finished setting. There were no clouds in the sky, which meant no rain to hinder her flight. She trilled happily, and folded her wings so that she could spin in mid-air. She snapped her wings open, and started climbing again when she saw a second brown join the chance.
Come my chasers, follow quickly now! Her voice was full of lust, yet was still light and playful as she spoke to the three males that had joined her in the skies. She trilled playfully and made a sharp left before weaving around playfully. She quickly beat her dark, grass green wings, and quickened the pace of the flight. She wasn't really built for endurance, but more for agility, and she was showing off that fact. She heard Zaranth asking her questions, but she really didn't know any answers to them.
Frenath then heard Vinerath's song, and she crooned sweetly. She knew Her's liked Vinerath's rider, but this wasn't about her rider! It was about her! She opened her green jaws, and roared in anger at the thought of her rider telling her what to do during her own flight. She tucked her wings in, and dived down towards the trees that were miles below her. She didn't open them until she was just inches away from the top of the large trees. She glided quickly along the top of the trees, and if she really wanted to, she could have reached out with her claws, and grabbed one.
Talvi slowly backed away from the edge of Frenath's ledge when she heard someone calling out to her. When she felt someone try to grab her she hissed, and sounded exactly like her dragon. She didn't want to be touched! Not yet! She wanted to feel the breeze blowing through her hair, and feel the excitement that being part of Frenath would bring her. She didn't want anyone trying to take that away. She quieted slightly when she heard someone humming.
Talvi was slowly becoming one with her dragon, and instead of seeing each of the riders, she was seeing their dragon's just as Frenath did. She didn't see her weyr, she saw the sky, and the tree's. She felt the wind, even though she was well within her weyr now, and away from the ledge where the wind blowing outside would have reached her. She heard the songs of dragon's and at that point, she totally lost any touch with her own body, and became one with her dragon.

Zaranth crooned happily as she moved toward him and the others, warbling and laugh as she darted away again. The green was a lovely thing, oh yes she was. The browns were no concern of his. They were larger, but he was faster. Besides, it was all up to Frenath. Angling his blue wings, he shot down after toward the forest. He'd chase her as far as he had to go, even if it meant causing himself pain. He watched her dark form ahead of him, flying low as she did over the trees.
He only moved when she did, beating his wings upward as she went there. He would follow her, he would follow her. It was a chant in his mind, and the beat of his wings were the drums behind it. His voice crooned low and lovingly as he sang for her. If the browns were doing it, why not him? Swiftly moving to the other side of Frenath, he twirled, looping himself as he chased. He lost ground for the maneuver, but it was worth it if she was impressed. After that, he let his speed take over, easily sliding back into the spot he had left.

Green on sweeping wing, beauty in the breeze, I follow you, your gleaming beauty as a star bright, high in the Pernese night, grace the world with lovely song, teach us all to sing with life - unparalleled delight, my green queen whose gleaming wings send my heart aflight Vinerath would have to prove himself. He would show her the best of him. He would show her that he would do his all for her. Yes. What else could he do? It was a choice she would make. He sang. He sang sweetly for her and followed her. He sped up when she did, his wings pumping harder, faster. Lovely green, teach us the meaning of Flight! I'll follow you until my wings fall to the ground below, and even then I will try! Lovely green, oh our lovely queen, dip and dive and soar above, this song I sing for you alone, please oh queen, leave me not behind...He followed her, adding his own wingflares and subtle movements, taking risks, he knew, but he would do his best for her. Sing to her, fly his best for her. Even if that meant he fell to death from the heights of the world. He did his best to use his wingbeats, his song, his flight, to show her that he was worthy. He had a lot to prove to such a wonderful queen, he did indeed believe. Green light, you shine so bright, eclipse the sun red velvet sky. I see you dance and follow, your ever guiding light.

Soheath beat his wings, trying to gain height on the green in the hopes of being able to follow her movements. He knew he would have a disadvantage in this flight, he was too bulky to pull of the quick, light maneuvres of the small green. When Frenath made a sharp turn to the left, Soheath lost distance on her, banking as quickly as he could, but his turn was wider and slower than her own and the brown had to use thermals to his advantage to catch up as she quickened her pace. He swerved slightly at the green's roar, wondering if another suitor had said something to upset her, but genuinely confused by the noise. No matter, if it was another suiotr angering her, then that simply gave Soheath a better chance. He folded his wings, following after her as she dove. Breaking out of the dive at a higher altitude then she had, ready to ruise again when she grew bored of playing with the treetops. He remained true to his intentions, following her as simply a chaser. He gave no words, no song, and no rediculous movements. If she wanted a dragon who showed off and tried to gain attention, she could choose another, but he, Soheath, wanted her to know that his attention was for her and her alone, he didn't want to use trivial tricks to gain the spotlight.
Ad'os hung back, away from the other riders much as his dragon remained at a distance from the other dragons, which was apparently a good idea, as Talvi turned and hissed menacingly at another rider. He was waiting, and watching, ready to catch her when the time came.

Frenath looked back at her chasers, assessing each and every one of them. The blue male was handsome, and she enjoyed his singing, and had to admit that she was pretty impressed with his antics. She had always thought that blue's could be very amusing. She shook her green head, and then turned her attention to the next chaser. It was a brown she recognized. It was Vinerath, and he was singing to her. It was hard for her to decide who's song she enjoyed more, the blue's or Vinerath's.
Frenath nodded her head at his words. Yes, she would have to teach them, but what would her first lesson be? She crooned to him when she heard him call her a queen. Yes, she was the queen of the skies, and she would let no one, NO ONE, tell her other wise! She buggeled happily at both the blue and Vinerath. She really did have a tough choise ahead of her. She trilled curiously when she saw the brown trying to do tricks for her. He was large, and normally larger dragon's stuck with stamina.
Frenath then turned her attention to the only other chaser. He was silent, and didn't try to impress her. She crooned to him. She knew the larger dragon's were built more for stamina than agility, and wondered if he was trying to conserve his energy for the chase itself. He was silent, and she enjoyed the thrill of trying to figure out dragon's like him. They always posed a challenge. Something she relished, though, today wasn't about him, or any of the other males. It was about her.
Come my chasers! Prove to me who is a real King! Frenath would the best, and only the best. She spiraled up, higher, and higher. She leveled out, and continued to chase the sunset. She wasn't ready to end this flight, and she didn't believe any of the males had proven themselves worthy just yet. No, she would do everything to make this flight last, and make the males prove themselves to her. She needed to find out which one was a true king.

Zalanth beat his wings harder after his green queen. He crooned for her, continuing to sing. She was his light, his life, his love! Couldn't she tell that? They were King and Queen together, whether their hides shown with a metallic hue or sun enhanced light. They were each others equal in every way possible. She just needed to see that. He strained his wing to continue after her darting form, mirroring her movements when he could, adding a flourish during other times. His song whispered to her, something for her mind only. In her rider's weyr, K'tor moved forward slightly, extending a hand to the greenrider. "Choose me? Choose us Talvi?"

Vinerath crooned softly, but he was starting to focus more. She was far too interested in that other brown. He needed to gain her attention. He refused the urge to hiss at Soheath, feeling anger and jealousy bubbling up the longer she gave him attention. His rider liked hers. He liked her. He wanted to catch her. He wanted her. He followed her up, not so much trying to show off, but also to measure how much energy he had to carry him to the end. It was an important matter. Intelligence, flattery, song, tricks. They were all necessary in his mind to win the eye of a queen. Especially a queen like Frenath.
It may come down to a battle of stamina. Let it be. He would fly until he had reached the ends of Pern and do it again.
He was singing again, his song picked up with more power before, he did his best to make it sweeter, deeper, show her how important she was. Yes. She would teach them. And... Perhaps the one who learned best would be her victor.
He followed her, spiraling upward.
A'vin frowned slightly at the other rider. He wanted to grab his hand and pull it back, but he didn't, he restrained himself and gave Talvi a soft smile, his eyes studying her face. She was a lovely woman... One that he had slowly but surely come to love more and more.

Soheath, hummed quietly in his throat as he heard Frenath give a little croon towards him, but he didn't have much time to relish the little acknowledgement of his presence, for soon she was calling out to all of them once again, and her words made Soheath wonder if her flight was coming to an end soon. He flew up after her, using a thermal to boost him and draw him much closer to her than he had been originally, though he made no move to grab at her. This was her choice to make, not his. He had learned the hard way not to force the choice.
He paid little mind to the other two competitors, noting quickly that the blue was doing silly tricks again and the other brown had brought his annoying song back. Soheath would not fall into using such pathetic attempts at flattery, didn't they realize how rediculous they were? He twisted his wings lightly to keep just behind her, a little off to the side withouth, hopefully, seeming too close. Then he finally spoke, his words a monotonous breeze in the green's mind, but hidden beneath was a hint of longing and passion. They attempt to steal your spotlight Frenath, He whispered, beating his wings fast enough to keep up with her pace without wasting too much energy, I use no tricks, or songs to call you to me, for I am here for you, not for myself. His words were accompanied with a soft, delicate croon as he continued to chase her, ready to catch her if she so let him.
Ad'os had his eyes half lidded as he whispered calming thoughts to Soheath, not wanting the brown to get out of hand again, though the way things were going it seemed it wouldn't come to that. His eyes became stern and disapproving as K'tor reached for Talvi, and he had to hold in a hiss of his own at the bluerider's actions. He wanted to swat him away, but he couldn't, she shouldn't. His hand twitched, but he did everything in his power to keep it away from his belt knife. No.. he was still in control that much at least. He could feel Soheath's tiring muscles, he could see Frenath's form in the sky. He wanted to give in to the emotions, but he was too afraid of what would happen. Instead, he forced himself to focus on the human girl in front of him, drawing closer as Soheath had, though he was not close enough to touch her.
"Talvi..." He whispered seductively, much as his brown was currently doing to her green. He said nothing more, happy just to have her name ghost across his lips.
