To say Braymoth was amused by Eulurth's growl, and the way he protected His, would be an understatement. Oh how we wanted to place a nice gash down that blue's leg, it really would look nice. But this was the first lesson, he would have time for that later. Finishing his walk past the blues, Braymoth made sure his tail was swishing quick enough to give him a good slap if he didn't dodge it. As the lesson began, or at least the introductions, Braymoth settled slightly, though he had no interest in the introductions being made. That was what His was for, she would do the boring stuff. When her turn came to introduce herself, she attempted another wobbly curtsy before speaking.
"A pleasure to meet you Sir." She began, "I am Yufa, Braymoth's rider." She made sure to speak with confidence, not wanting anyone to know that she was scared of her own dragon. She held up her arm, signalling her epidote flit to come out in the open on her arm for his own introduction. "Cassim is the name of this fire lizard." The flit chirped quietly before slithering back up her arm to nestle into her hair once more.

Isanoth had settled himself down comfortably on the weyrbowl, and as people introduced themselves, he looked at each one with a degree of polite interest. Kordelia's expression was more bored; she had done this before. Many times before. And as much as it made sense-- after all, these were the people she'd be spending a lot of time with for the upcoming process of weyrlinghood-- she didn't have to like the process.
When it finally came to her, she stood, and gave the gathering a wan smile. "I'm Kordelia, and this is Isonath." Isanoth rumbled his own greeting.
Shortly thereafter, it was Ter'lohr. He gave the group a wide smile-- he wasn't tired of introducing himself, even though he'd been at the weyr for a relatively short period of time and wasn't that far off with beginning most conversations with introductions. "I'm Ul-" he laughed to himself, and shook his head. "Almost gave you all my old name. I'm Ter'lohr, and this is Dancereth." his eyes shone with pride as he looked at his dragon, and she echoed the expression in her stance.

Eulurth's growl died slowly but his sharp eyes didn't miss the intended slap and he countered with a rather violently momentumed swipe of his own tail to cancel Braymoth's out. He roared inside his mind, a challenge at his brother that only His could hear, and her spirit rose to it. Her eyes darkening and a lust for violence that mirrored Eulurth's at that moment. She caught herself and forced herself to go calm once again, letting her dragon feel her inner strength and calm himself as well. There would be a time for it, oh yes there would be. Today was not that day though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A'dfin and Svarith had slipped in at the back after everyone else had gotten there, sitting as quietly as they could. A'dfin's fingers drummed a tempo on his Svarith's shoulder and the little opal curled his neck around His. His was fidgety, but he liked His's energy. A'dfin jumped up when it was his turn, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
"I'm A'dfin! And this guy behind me here is my Opal, Svarith!" His voice was energetic and friendly as he smiled at his weyrmates. He was sure he would like his new friends.
Svarith raised his head and looked at all of his brothers and sisters happily. Everyone was here! Everyone was just perfect! Hiya everyone! I'm Svarith! I hope we'll all get to be great friends!
~~~~~~ Kelath rolled his eyes at his garnet brother's antics. The largest of the blues out of their clutch earned a croon of approval as he stood up for himself against Braymoth's slightly covert attack. He would not approve violence here in this lesson with Their's so close, but it was good Eulurth would not back down easily. It boded well for his rider's chances of remaining unharmed. And His seemed to want that very much. At the moment anyway.
D'rian echoed Kelath's approval. The girl had a good match in that blue. He was fierce even though he was just a blue, and it earned him respect in the eyes of the bronze pair.
As other's stood and introduced themselves Drian sent a slight feeling of amuzement to Kelath, and his bronze rumbled with laughter.
He is energetic I'll give him that. They seem like an innocent pair. It's our turn now Mine.
D'rian nodded and slowly stood, Kelath arching his neck and appearing regal behind him. "I'm D'rian. It's a pleasure to meet everyone. And this bronze is Kelath." He said settling his hand against his dragon's shoulder. Shigure popped his head around D'rian's shoulder and chittered at His for not introducing him, and he smiled scratching the flit underneath the chin wich seemed to pacify him for the moment. "And this is Shigure."
There were no apologies on Krofud's face as she sauntered up to the rest of teh weyrlings, joining their ranks several moments late. She looked exactly as she always did: unassuming and unconcerned. Her hands were shoved deep in her pockets, and her face was blase.
She had a perfectly good reason for being late to this lesson: primarily it was because she didn't really care. She wouldn't've been here at all, if it wasn't for Ortaith: the brown cared, and it was his protests about havin' some duty to do that had dragged her here in the first place. Her only loyalty was to him- not to the weyr, or to the weyrlingmaster, or to lessons. The only thing lessons really did for her was open up the possibility of flying and such later.
While she wasn't particularly concerned with her lateness, Ortiath was. He didn't look ashamed or anything-- just attentive, and sharp. He stood beside his rider, looking proud to be present, and said to the blue: We are sorry to be late: it won't happen again. He offered no excuses: excuses were for people who were guilty. He was simply late.
They were late. They were late, late, late! Saka breathed in hard as she ran for the weyrling training area. Oh, late, late, late! This was so not good. Skidding to a stop, the blue weyrling tumbled over as her blue collided with her legs. "Oof!" Sighing, and rubbing her back end which she had fallen hard on, the redheaded weyrling looked up at the blue who was sheepishly staring in the other direction. Sorry SakaMineLove. PuppyDragon didn't mean to hurt His. Really I didn't. "It's okay Arreth." Reassuring the little blue, Saka used his shoulder to haul herself back up.
"Hi everyone!" The weyrling was already normal again, or at least as normal as she could be, and chirped the greeting. "Hope we didn't miss anything." She looked around, smiling at those around her." Not far off she could see the form of Lorendyth and Hers as well. When they finally caught up, Akilu gave a soft, apologetic smile. "Sorry, I was helping the Head Woman with some of the weyrbrats. They were getting check-ups today by the healers." She laughed as she remembered one boy in particular who had hidden from them until Lorendyth found him and pulled him out of a cuboard by his pants.
He wasn't doing as I said Mine. The green's voice was edged with poison, but it lightened to it's false tone when she realized Hers was looking at her strangely. I mean, you just wanted to help the poor thing sooo badly, it made me want to too. He was hiding, and I needed to get him out. It's not like I bit his arm....even though I wanted to, that little sharder. The green hissed in her mind away from the weyrling's attention. She glanced around at her clutchmates, flicking her tail as she laid eyes on her Garnet sibling. Hello again Braymoth. Up to your lovingly devious tricks I see.
She purred as she spoke to the Garnet, making Akilu look at her, only to receive a chirp and a soft head-but from Lorendyth. Nothing Mine. Don't worry your pretty head. Akilu nodded, going along with it. Lorendyth shook her wings out. How was it that Hers could be so very capable normally, but when it came to herself she was clueless? Sighing, the green decided it was better than her understanding the games she played. That wouldn't do at all really.
Akira gulped, and really didn't want to stand up, and talk in front of all these people. Sure she had gotten to some what know Oridith's blue clutch brothers, and their riders, but she still wasn't comfortable getting up and talking in front of such a big crowd. It's ok Kikimine. I'm right here next to you. Oridith's sweet and gentle voice helped calm her, and she gently scratched the small blue's eye ridges. She was glad she had him with her. Akira looked up when Jillalene, the other female blue rider, stood up and started introducing herself. She looked around her, and watched as the other weyrlings started introducing themselves. Finally, she was the last one. She sighed, and stood up. She was glad that Oridith had stood when she did, it made her feel a little better about what she had to do. My name is Akira, this is my blue Oridith. After that she sat down quickly and was more than happy it was over with. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ D'tri sighed as his young topaz dragged him to the lesson. He didn't want to go, and had said that there would be others, but what Chahaturth wanted, she got. I spoil you too much. He rolled his eyes at his dragon when all she did was croon at him. He smirked when he saw that Iirla and her gold, Izanycorth, were already there. He knew that would REALLY send his topaz into a real fit. Oh well, better to get it over with now rather than later. Chahaturth hissed loudly when she saw her golden sister. She had arrived after that over glorified brat! This just would not do! She walked right over to K'lin and his dragon, walking right past her sister. She was acting as though nothing was more important than herself. D'tri just rolled his eyes, and shook his head at his dragon. He mouthed a silent, "I'm sorry" to Iirla as he walked passed her to catch up to his own dragon. He sighed, and bowed his head slightly to the Weyrling Master. I'm sorry we are late, it won't happen again. D'tri gave K'lin a very apologetic smile and winced when Chahaturth snorted. We do not need to apologize D'triMine. We clearly out rank them. The females voice made the young man wish he could put a muzzle on her. Chahaturth, we are just weyrlings. It's proper that we show respect to the Weyrling Master. All the female dragon did was shake her head at her rider, and sent him annoyed feelings.
