K'lin jumped from his dragon's back when they landed in the weyrling training grounds. Alright buddy, time to call the weyrlings. He looked up at his blue dragon as he spoke. McTwisp chirped hurriedly from his hiding place in His' riding jacket. It's ok McTwisp, we've got plenty of time. The weyrlings were only a week old now, so they had plenty of time to get them used to their bondeds. The blue firelizard didn't think so though, they needed to get started, and fast. Come young weyrlings, it is time to start training. Bearith set a picture of the training grounds along with his verbal message to the weyrlings. Then he lowered his blue head, revealing his single marking. K'lin scratched the broken-heart shaped marking between his dragon's eyes, and smiled. Oh how true that marking could be. Alright, now we just have to wait for them to show up. He smiled as he started to remember his own weyrling days.

G'daro awoke to a picture in his mind. Then he realized that he was now a Weyrling and Banemith was his dragon. Banemith, wake up, the Weyrling Master is calling us. he said. It is. Banemith replied. So G'daro got up, put on his clothes and told Fizgig to stay. Fizgig was annoyed but understood.
As G'daro and Banemith arrived, he noticed that only he was around so far. So, they sat together, G'daro stroking Banemith's eye ridges.

It had been a long and exhausting week. New quarters, new roommates, shorter sleeping times and the constant presence of a hungry or itchy or curious hatchling in his head. Sometimes he managed to be all three at once.
L'in had taken to staying up late after the Opal had gone to sleep just for the chance to be alone in his head. It got so tiring having to explain why he was thinking about the garnet rider's cute ass or why he missed his old ship and the other sailors.
He was very glad to be called to the training field. Wearing out his dragon so that he slept sooner sounded like a really good idea to him! With luck they'd run around the field until they couldn't move?
Peryth willingly walked along with His. This training thing had seemed to make His happy, so he'd do whatever it was. Then maybe they'd sleep and His wouldn't feel so tired and grumpy. There would be the others to talk too as well! He liked talking to the other weyrlings.

Jillalene set the oilcloth aside when she got the message. She smiled when Eulurth bumped her with his tail.
You're only half finished LeneMine, you still have half my back legs to do
Ignoring his plaintive and reproachful tone, she gave him a soothing rub under his chin. "You heard the call just as much as i did my love. That means i'll just have to pay special attention to you later on when we dont have to worry about lessons okay?" Eulurth sighed and stood up. Very well mine... but extra SPECIAL attention. Like a meal and a whole other rubdown special.
She couldnt help the chuckle that danced through her body and mind along their mental linkas she put their things away and leaned up to give him a kiss on the nose. "Come on you big baby."
As soon as they came in she felt Eulurth tense up then realized why. The slightly bigger brown, Banemith had already arrived and with a pointed effort at completely ignoring him, they went right by not sparing them the slightest glance. She did think it rude not to even aknowledge gedaro, but she was Eulurth's bonded now. She would not insult him by purposefully engaging the one he hated. Eulurth held himself tall and regal, crooning along their private link with approval at her snub of his slightly larger brown brother.
We are ten times better than Banemith and His, are we not Lenemine? Soon everyone will know it... She found herself a nice spot and would have sat down, but Eulurth sat instead, snaking his neck around her and pulling her into a seat he created with his front legs and laid his head in her lap for her to scratch his neck, which she did adoringly. He was possessive and very cranky at times, but he was hers, and she was his. Nothing was Ever going to change that.
----------------------
Kelath bumped His with his head. Hurry Up mine! Why dont you ever keep your shirt where you can find it?
D'rian finally found the shirt he'd decided to wear today and pulled it over his head. "Because with nothing to complain about, You, my beloved Kelath, would die of boredom. And we cant have that now can we?" It had been a long week. Between getting used to the strength of the link between them and the fact that his bronze seemed to want to whip him into shape, he'd found it quite a bit annoying.
Now however, he'd grown used to it. "Yeah yeah i know, a king cant be late..." He sighed and walked out the door leaving Kelath to follow him. Kelath was definitely more of a stickler in the mornings. He'd been doing nothing but telling him to hurry up and make himself presentable and after some debate he'd picked out the soft leather boots and close fitting black pants with the white laceup shirt. His hair, as usual, didnt need much done to it, and after putting everything else to rights, he'd had to endure Kelath's complaining about him finding the shirt.
Kelath caught up to him and kept his nose right at His's shoulder the whole way there., almost as if pushing him. His brown brother and opal brother had already arrived, and so had his blue brother Eulurth.
With a smile, His headed straight for the space between the opal and Eulurth. Tossing a wink at the opal's rider as he passed. Kelath rolled his eyes and stopped him a short ways away from his blue brother who had opened one eye and curled His tighter in against him. The girl blushing and not making eyecontact with His. D'rian mine. Why dont you just talk to her? Or Him? Or anyone you make eyes at? You really have no preference do you?
"Cause she's cute when she's uncomfortable. Plus that blue of hers is way overprotective. And no, I really have no preference, or desire to be the good little boy everyone expects a bronzerider to be." He sat down and Kelath did as well, curling his tail around His with a mental sigh

Akira was not a morning person, and she was glad to see that neither was her dragon. Well, that's after he has a large meal before bedtime! She grumbled as she rolled herself out of bed. She glanced around the room. She had been put in the same room as the garnet and his rider, and and an Amethyst and her rider. It looked as though the others were still sleeping, so she quietly made her way over to her clothes, and quickly changed into her work clothes. Kikimine, we are being called for a lesson. Oridith opened his blue jaws in a wide yawn as he spoke to his rider. Akira smiled and walked over to her blue dragon, and sat down next him. Alright buddy, let's go. Though be quiet, we don't want to wake up your sister. The blue dragon quietly crooned at his rider's words. He stood up, and followed his rider out of the room. Akira was concerned that the sound of Oridith's nails on the floor would wake the others, but at the time, it didn't seem like it would. Akira's hand was resting on Oridith's head as they arrived at the training grounds. She recognized a few of them, and had even spoken to one of them. She walked over to Jillalene and her blue dragon, Eulurth. Hi, I hope it's ok if we sit here. Her voice was light and friendly as she spoke to the other female blue rider. She sat down between her and the bronze weyrling, turning her head to face the other girl. Oridith crooned to his siblings when they arrived, and sat down with his tail wrapped around His when Akira sat.

Yufa, as she always had, woke early and, quietly as she could, had snuck out of her new room in the weyrling barracks. Her goal for the morning was the well lit bathing caverns, despite having bathed herself the previous night. Though she went there for an unrelated reason. No, she just needed the light, and a moment of solitude to wash the wounds she had gained over the last week. Dipping her leg into the shallow water to soften the bandages and injury, she made sure to clean and rewrap the leg, as well as her shoulder, as quickly as possible. She was pleased to see her shoulder wound was mostly closed, having obtained it the morning after the hatching, but her leg was still quite problematic. Three days ago she had angered Braymoth and received a shallow, but jagged swipe of the claw to her leg.
Finishing with her wounds, she got dressed and did her hair in the caverns as well, not wanting to disturb her roommates with her early habits. She finished not a moment too soon, as she could feel Braymoth waking up, slowly but surely. She had gotten used to the garnet’s routine already. He liked to sleep later than she did, so she had to hurry to prepare herself before he awoke. After that, it would be constant orders for food, oiling, or anything else the red dragon could think of. Luckily, U’wa had been a great support over the week, even if he was too afraid of the red to get to close to him. She sighed as a feeling hit her; Braymoth was awake.
The garnet woke to see one of the silly little dragonets he shared his room with had woken and gone already, likely to the lesson that had just been called. Yufa stumbled into view in the doorway just as Braymoth was making his way out, and the force of bumping into him knocked her against the wall lightly, just enough to cut her cheek. Blood spotted from the tiny cut.. Well well well, dear riderMine, sneaking off again so early in the morning? He could smell the fresh blood that changing the bandages had brought. Hiding your wounds again from prying eyes like the little lamb you are? The others can smell it too… the sweet scent of your blood. Deliciously forbidden to their mouths and ripe for mine to take. He had snaked his head up near Yufa’s cheek as he spoke, flicking a tongue out to lap at the tiny cut. She pulled away, turning to walk down the hall.
“There’s a lesson.” Was all she said as Cassim moved to land on her shoulder. Rumbling in amusement, Braymoth followed, but not before peeking his head back into the room and roaring as loud as he could hoping to scare the amethyst pair.. They arrived at the training grounds within decent time. Yufa did her best to keep up her poised walk despite the limp she was trying to hide, and Braymoth made it no easier by consistently bumping her with his head to move faster. Others had arrived before her of course. The brown pair and one of the opals, as well as the bronze and two blues, including her own roommate. She moved to stand off to the side, passing the blue pairs on her way.
“Good Morning Sir, everyone.” She curtsied lightly, shaking as the movement caused her leg to hurt, but did her best to keep a straight face. Braymoth had followed behind her, hissing slightly as he liked to do, though unlike his rider, he walked close to the blues, hoping one of them would be silly enough to leave their tails where he would ‘accidentally’ step on it.

Jillalene smiled when she saw Oridith and Akira come in the room. She waved happily and Eulurth crooned a greeting to his smaller blue brother. Thankfully, the pair took a spot between herself and the bronze pair. She liked Akira, and Oridith was a pleasant sort. She didn't know much about them other than Eulurth approved of them, and that was good enough for her.
"Of course it's okay that you guys sit there! Us blues gotta stick together eh?" She offered a friendly smile and attempted smalltalk while they waited for the others, greatful enough to the pair for blocking the bronze rider's line of vision, to want to hug both of them. "How has your morning been so far?"
Eulurth was fairly quiet as His spoke with Oridith's. His posture changed however, when Braymoth and His came in. The closer the girl got the more he could smell the coppery scent of blood. Jillalene almost gagged as the taste of the tang filled her mouth and her eyes widened at the fresh scrape across the girl's cheek.
"Someone should say something... There's got to be something that can be done about how abusive the garnets are..." She frowned watching Yufa. She wasn't stupid, she caught the telltale slip of the happy content mask when she moved. Soon however, her own distaste for the red dragon turned to panicked alarm as a growl rumbled low in Eulurth's belly.
Braymoth was close. Too close. She tried to calm him, assuring him that it was okay and just to ignore him, but his red orange eyes watched his brother around her, tucking her back until she was pressed protectively against the heat of his chest.

Mine! There's going to be a lesson AkiluMine! Won't that be fun? Won't that be just, oh so much fun!
Lorendyth crooned happily at Hers as she bounced around her form, the green wagging her tail. As soon as Akilu nodded her head and went to finishing up putting the oiling supplies away though, her dragonet rolled her eyes and drooped her wings back down. Smirking slightly, the dark dragonet wove between the beds that were in her and Hers room...well it was someone else's as well. That didn't mean that it wasn't HERS though.
Done with putting the rags and oil away, Akilu smiled again at Lorendyth, admiring the pretty shine she now had. Your right LuluMine, I do shine don't I? She stretched her wings out to show her hide off before folding them back against her side neatly. Come now, we don't want to be late. Agreeing, Akilu walked with her dragonet to the place where the lesson would be held.
---
SakaMine! Your PuppyDragon has been called for a lesson. Won't you come with, pleeeaaasse?!?!?! We can play allll day there, I promise!
Saka laughed and nodded her head as Arreth jumped around her feet, placing his paws against her chest as he ended his message. It was still strange feeling him there inside her head, but she loved it. She wouldn't change it for anything to be honest. Tikorah cawed from his perch, ruffling his feathers. "Oh, don't be so horrible."
The redhead shot the huntyre a dirty look, which made the lunar even more upset. First His had gotten LittleSister, then His had gotten PuppyDragon too? Where was he supposed to fit into all of this?!? The huntyre cawed again, then took off and flew in some random direction. Maybe he was going after a female, Saka hoped so. He could use someone to love and protect.
Right because your PuppyDragon will alllwwaaays protect you SakaMine! Your Arreth loves you lots, and lots, and bunches. Yep!
Licking her face, the dragonet wagged his tail. "Well come on then Arreth." Nodding his head, he let Saka go, taking his feet off of her chest and walking away for a few steps. Saka let her handle on the bed behind her go, relaxing now that she wasn't thrown off balance. Smiling, the young weyrling headed out the door with her blue.

The room may've been bigger, but it didn't feel any less crowded.
This was perhaps because she was sharing it with three other people. It was an upgrade and a downgrade both, moving up from candidacy to weyrlinghood. Kordelia wasn't entirely sure how she'd react in such close quarters-- she'd taken her single room back at the hold for granted.
But she was trying her very hardest to be good and not snap at people over trivial details. So far, she was doing pretty well. She'd gotten her little nook situated how she liked it-- papers neatly stacked away, clothing easily accessible, etc. It was slightly nicer now, because now Isanoth's couch was beside her bed, and that was very comforting.
She was on her back on her bed, resting after some chores, when Isanoth stuck his head on the bed beside her, gently ruffling her hair with his breath. This was growing to be his habitual way of waking her up, and while ordinarily messing with her hair would be cause for a fit, from Isanoth it was more then tolerable. "What is it?" she asked, not opening her eyes, "I wasn't sleeping."
I know. he responded, But I thought you should know- we've been called for our first lesson. We meet in the training ground.
Kordelia would've groaned, were it not for the fact that doing so was so terribly impolite. "I was so glad to be done with lessons, if only for a week." She said softly, but stretched and got to her feet-- she could feel Isa's excitement, this being his first lesson in the world.
Isanoth led the way outside, and soon they were amongst the weyrlings waiting for their first lesson.
I thought sewing was a girl thing. Dancereth commented, sitting on her haunches and watching her rider mend a shirt carefully. Her gaze was far from accusatory- on the contrary, her tone was curious, for truly she was ignorant of some aspects of human society.
Ter'lohr laughed, shaking his head. "Not just a girl thing," he responded, "My ma'd kill me if I told you it was, anyway. If I've got a shirt to mend, I'll sew, and plenty of the weavercraft's apprentices are male."
Dancereth chirped at this idea, sounding rather pleased. Oh, well that's good. I wouldn't want some boy to not be able to sew because it was a girl thing, anyway- that would be aweful. She watched in silence for a moment, before shaking her head, as if reminded of something. Oh, and I should tell you- there's a lesson on. We're to meet in the training grounds.
Ter'lohr nodded, tongue between his teeth, and finished his stitch. "Just let me juuust get this done-" he messed with a little, and then severed his thread, holding the brightly-colored shirt up. "There. Good as new. Do you think it's good to wear?"
It looks very nice. No more hole~
At that note of approval, Ulteritohr pulled the shirt over his bare torso, and stood up. "Alright, then, I believe we are ready to go. Shall wey?"
Dancereth crooned her approval, and the two left the barracks together, joining the weyrlings waiting in front of the blue who had called them.

K'lin smiled broadly as he watched the weyrlings start to arrive. Alright, now that most of you are here, I would like to start off with everyone introducing themselves, and their dragon. I know this isn't very fun, but we'll get to that later. He made sure to make his voice loud enough to be heard over all the talking and what not the weyrlings were doing. I'll start. I am K'lin, the dragon standing beside me is Bearith, and this little flit is McTwisp. He nodded his head to the weyrlings when he finished.
Bearith crooned to all the young weyrling pares, and paid special attention to the blue weyrlings. Can't really blame him for liking his own color. K'lin patted the blue's thick hide, and smiled lovingly at him. McTwisp chose that moment to poke his head out, and looked over at the weyrlings. Why where they still just siting around? He started to chirp nervously at His, and then at the weyrlings. They needed to get started NOW! He looked at the weyrlings, and chirped hurriedly at them.

R'vin looked at Umeith who rather liked the sight of the big blue. He was blue. And big enough to hurt his evil red brother. That made him happy. Monerae, on the other hand, was irritated to have been awakened before he was ready and was lounging on R'vin's shoulder, avoiding Umeith all together. The flitter hated him and Umeith really did not care one bit. His' little pet was of no consequence. The blue looked at his who first turned to the weyrling standing next to him, following there master's example. "Hello, I am Rae-R'vin and this is Umeith, and the little moping bugger up here," he said, motioning to Monerae who sat on his shoulder, "is Monerae." He gently scratched the flitter's eyeridges and was rewarded with a feeble croon as he refused to let His make him feel better, even if he did enjoy having his eye ridges scratched... ----------- ((Maybe they should be late. X3 Inali may very well not appreciate that!)) MINE! Come on! We have to go! We have to go! There's a lesson! the gold was attempting to hurry Iirla who had just woken up not long ago. Iz's loud voice and antics had sent Ama into a fit and the two had, of course, had seen fit to yell at each other and otherwise make a ruckus and fight. Iz got upset about not being perfect, again, and now... Ama was holding the flitter back, her own hands being scratched up by the little things claws. "If you two could settle down, then we could go, IZ! AMA! That hurts!"Iz came up behind her and started pushing and it was a little hard not to move when a gold, even a young dragonet, was the one pushing you. She still held the squirming and chittering Ama. "Ama. I'll let go if you stop already!" The flitter chirped and was still. Iirla let her go and the little thing chittered at the gold before settling herself on Iirla's shoulder, head held high as if attempting to snub Iz. That would work real well, considering the gold didn't care. "I can walk without being pushed, Iz." Iz stopped pushing, but trotted ahead as Iirla walked briskly, attempting to keep up. This would never do! Never do! She was a queen! She was supposed to be perfect! Be on time! Be courteous! be wonderful! Her eyes whirled red as she came closer to the hatching grounds. The gold was not happy. Not happy at all. Especially as she saw that they had already started... and she had not been there. Iirla frowned. You are not going in there in a huff and making a commotion. Iz looked at her rider defiantly who set her heals and did her best to impress her will on the young gold... Before walking in with an Izanycorth who had swirling red eyes and a lashing tail, head held high, walking beside her. "Please forgive us, Weyrling Master," Iirla said.

Jillalene stood next after R'vin, tugging Akiko away from her earring yet again. The little flit had been trying to get to it all day and Lene finally tapped her on the snout. Control yourself in public Akiko... The little flitter sighed with a hurt glance, her wings drooping in Jillalenes arms.
"I'm Jillalene. This," she said, looking down at her seagreen flit puffed up proudly with a musical croon as she became the instant's center of attention," is Akiko. This big guy, "she said reaching up and scratching Eulurth's eye ridges "is Eulurth. A pleasure to meet all of you." Eulurth rumbled his greeting to his brothers, sisters, and theirs, and died into an almost unintelligible croon as His scratched his ridges.
-------- Kelath was just about to nudge His to get him to stand up and introduce him, when the gold pair came in. He crooned a soft greeting to his sister, and let His relax for a bit longer, giving his sister the floor uninterupted. (I know it's short, but mum is only gone for so long at a time and she's rather angry at the moment...I'll post my new opal and his weyrling when i have more time)
