{Spring - 3 Months Old}
Yuli sighed as she felt the familiar hunting happiness of her brown partner. The wher had been quite successful the last few days; not in catching wherries like normal, but tunnelsnakes. There must have been a new nest somewhere in the Weyr, for despite the number of fire lizards and huntyres, the tunnelsnake population seemed to be growing. If it got too much larger than she would be shocked if humans started getting bitten by them. Given the time, she knew Yayusk would be able to sniff out a good deal of them on his own, but she wanted the problem dealt with quickly. Yayusk warbled as he returned to her side, a sound that normally meant children, but with the accompanying image told Yuli that the brown meant the wherlings.
Indeed, she realized, they were due for their next lesson. In fact, it was about time they began lessons outside the safety of the wherling lesson rooms; it was time to be out in the Weyrbowl. She headed towards the wherling barracks entrance tunnel, the easiest way from the barracks to the Weyrbowl. Yayusk, call them. She commanded. As she waited, she wondered how the roughly three months old wherlings were getting along. They had already learned oiling, and bathing, as well as some bonding exercises, and she had told them to practice those exercises as often as possible. Well, she mused, tonight's exercise would also serve as a test to that.
Wherlets! Come come, 'bowl! His voice was curt, and punctuated by clicks and whistles, though the wherlings wouldn't here those parts. Yuli waited patiently for the wherlings to come out, and she hoped they wouldn't forget to bring their training pouches and have their wherlets sit beside them properly in a semi circle to wait for their instructions. As each wherling arrived, she asked them the same question.
"Tell me one good and one bad habit you've discovered about your partner."
