Well, what did you expect Inali to be doing? She didn't want to be around the records rooms or the meeting rooms right now. There were too many things going on between the wingleaders, the southern riders, and now her weyrlingmasters too! The Weyrwoman gritted her teeth together and pushed down on the knife, cutting into the skin of the fruit she had gathered. She was making lunch if it was the last thing she did, by Faranth!
It wasn't just a Weyrwoman's job to be able to manage her Weyr, at times she had to serve the Weyrleader and the Wingleaders food as well. Inali wasn't the best cook though, in fact she was downright awefull. A certain new Weyrleader didn't know that of course though. The devious little smirk brought to her lips had the headwoman looking at her oddly enough though. Waving a hand at the old woman's direction, Inali shook her head. "Nothing, just...amusing myself."
The woman snorted, going back to her part of the meal. Oh yeah, Inali was not allowed to be alone in here. Not after the disaster that had happened in her weyrlinghood. What was that LiliMine? Inali smiled at the sleepiness in her dragon's voice. The gold was staying up too long lately being paranoid. I tried to make my own dinner late at night after studying. I ended up burning part of the kitchen instead. The Queen chortled as Hers sent the memory. Well, you seem to be doing better now. Inali nodded while humming to herself.
Around her shoulders, Ghost was curled up tight. The green tensed though as she thought she felt a familiar tendril poking her mind. Maybe not though. Inali looked at the firelizard curiously before reaching a hand up to pet the green and give her a peice of raw wherry meat. "Yeah, I bet you like that love." The firelizard didn't croon in return or anything, she just nodded in reply then went back to being a scarf around her neck and shoulders.

T'rian sighed and hung his head as he walked through the Weyr. He was no longer Weyrleader, and wasn't even Wingleader anymore. Which meant he got left out of a lot of things. He shook his head, this was still HIS Weyr, and there was nothing that Southern piece of dragon crap could do about it! He laughed at the mental picture that formed in his head at the thought of Ar'rex being a large, steaming piece of dragon crap. Oh he was entertained now!
T'rian couldn't hold back the laughter the picture caused him. The brownrider might be Weyrleader, but that didn't save him from this man's strange sense of humor. Mine, it would be best if you kept that to yourself. Even though Stallorth found the image as funny as his rider did, he felt there was no reason to insult any of the Southern riders outright just yet. It was better to keep the insults to ones self than start an all out war.
Alright Stallorth, I will. T'rian smiled and crossed his hands behind his head, leaning his head back into his hands as he walked. Yeah, this could turn out to be quite the good day. He paused and sniffed the air when he got closer to the kitchens. Someone was cooking something...different. He placed his hands by his sides, and carefully peaked around the corner to see who was cooking. His eyes widened, and his eye brows shot up when he saw Inali in the kitchen.

Inali laughed when she saw T'rian's look. Picking up the spoon she had been using to stir the soup, she held it out for him to taste. "What? Is it so surprising to see me here?" She teased him lightly, watching as Ghost looked at her weyrmate and chirped. "For once things seem to be quiet...what about you?" She sat on a stool nearby, keeping a careful eye on the cooking food. The fruit was already prepared though, and she took the plate and offered a piece to him. "I thought I'd cook lunch for the wingleaders and seconds."
It was better than worrying over nothing. So far she hadn't gotten a letter back...but she was hoping. The funny thing was, Inali hadn't even told T'rian what she planned to do about all of this going on at Trelis currently. I am going to hunt. Sithorath is here to watch the eggs. The gold didn't trust the riders, but she did trust the clutchfather. No dragon in its right mind would ever harm unhatched eggs, particularly if it was their father.
Inali nodded, and she closed her eyes, feeling the Queen's wings open and beat against the earth and sky. Stallorth? Join me? Loraketh called for the bronze as she landed on a wherry and tucked in her wings to eat. She might not have chosen him in her flight, but he was a dear friend to her. Right now, she needed a little normal. M...Li....My Lady? Inali jerked as she heard the usual name her dragoness called her. Lore? The Queen stopped eating for a moment and looked around. Did I really...was I really being that ridiculous?
Nodding as if the gold was there with her, Inali laughed and smiled in relief. I'm just glad you're back to your usual self love. Loraketh gave a croon of approval and started to eat again. "Well...guess who finally woke out of her mean streak?" Inali sighed and leaned back against the chair, letting her black hair fall over her face. Oh Faranth it was about sharding time!

T'rian smiled happily when Inali noticed him. He wasn't exactly sure if he should trust her cooking, after all, he had heard about what had happened the last time she cooked. He gingerly tasted the soup, and was quite surprised at the taste. You did very well my dear. I'm quite enjoying the peace. What about you? He pulled up a stool next to her, and sat down. He wasn't sure he liked the idea of her cooking for the Southerners, but he wasn't about to upset the peace that had fallen over the Weyr.
T'rian studied Inali's face, and wondered what was going on in that beautiful little head of hers. You have something planned don't you? His voice was soft as he spoke to her. He had known her long enough to know that she wouldn't just sit around without some sort of back up plan. He smiled teasingly then, and playfully stuck his tongue out at her. He felt like a kid again, even though he wasn't sure why. Oh well, it felt good so he was going to go with it.
Stallorth had been relaxing in the Weyr Lake, waiting for His so they could go train, or at least do something. They hadn't had much to do since their position had been taken away from them. He lifted his large bronze head when he heard Loraketh's voice. There wasn't a bone in his body that would deny her anything. He climbed out of the water, and shook off as much of it as he could. He quickly beat his wings and took off into the sky to join the golden queen.
It didn't take him long to reach the feeding grounds, or select his victim. He quickly took down the wherry, and began to eat it. It is a lovely day is it not? He wasn't exactly sure what to say to her. He still felt that she was his mate, and nothing would change that. But for some reason he didn't feel as relaxed around her as he once had. Something had changed between them, and he didn't know what, and that didn't help his mood any either.
T'rian laughed lightly at Inali's words. Now if only we could get Stallorth to snap out of his rut we'd be good to go! He gently, and playfully, nudged her elbow as he spoke. He knew the only thing that was upsetting the large male was the fact that his ego was injured, though, that was an argument for another time. He was glad Loraketh was back to her old self, that meant Inali could relax more often. Which meant more fun for the ex-Weyrleader.
