Inali needed out! She needed out and away from...from them. She needed away from her insane, moody Gold. She needed away from the babies which never stopped crying or getting into trouble. Shard it! She needed to get away from being Weyrwoman! What Inali needed was a distraction, or a way to relieve stress at least. She could feel yet another headache coming on and moved to rub behind her neck. She'd been getting more of those lately, most likely due to Ar'rex and his riders. Her own were not being entirely pleasant either though. Perhaps they all just needed to relax, but how in such a situation?
Inali was no fool, she could tell the Southerners had come for a reason. As each passing day brought new challenges to them, they got even more testier...and Loraketh grew more protective of her clutch and devious in her thoughts. They were bringing out the worst in her beloved dragoness. Oh, that's not so bad LiliMine. I won't allow this Weyr to be used or taken from again. Not after what happened before with Ista!
Yes, but did she have to allow the young Queenlet and her clutchsiblings to cause so much trouble? Sighing, Inali shook her head. If you need to talk with them, I will call them. It'd be useful to tell them of your plans any how. A subtle purr like sound was in the Gold's voice, and Inali guessed she was turning her prized egg. The one between her feet was not a Queen's shell, but like her first Sub-Queen daughters, she still had singled it out from the other ones.
Heading to the training area, Inali gave the Queen the okay to call them. Izanycorth, Kayath, Chahaturth, Talath! It is time for another lesson. She brooded over her eggs and abruptly informed Hers that she wasn't leaving them. That was find though, the Weyrwoman was prepared to greet them as they arrived. As she went to move to the ground's entrance though, some targets and the newly cleaned flamethrowers caught her eye. Well, well. Ask, and you shall receive. Grabbing one she turned to the first rider to arrive.
"Who's up for some stress relief?"

Flamethrowers were stupid, J'dol mused. Kayath could chew firestone and breath fire, so it seemed silly to have the subriders equipped with flamthrowers as well, in fact, it was rather reduntant. It is NOT reduntant, Mine. I am too good to flame like a common dragon. You will need that flamethrower. J'dol rolled his eyes, tired of hearing the same conversation over and over again. The topaz was still convinced that a 'true queen' such as herself shouldn't chew firestone. After all, dear mother Loraketh didn't chew, so why should Kayath? She had participated in the lesson... eventually, but as soon as they were no longer required to chew she had spit the chunk of rock from her mouth and from that point on pretended to have never chewed.
Oh, Mother has called a lesson. We MUST beat Chahaturth and Talath.Come now. Let's go! The topaz was already harnessed up from practice earlier that day, so J'dol figured he would be amongst the first, since he didn't need to get any gear. Then, he jumped in surprise as the lesson came to him, chuckling at the happy giggles of 'yay! We're first' from Kayath in the back of his mind.
"Depends, I think my methods of stress relief differ greatly from yours, lovely Weyrwoman." He joked, half flirting, though it was halfhearted. It had been for a while now... ever since that day on the river with Ara. On an entirely different note... seeing the Weyrwoman with a weapon of mass destruction was... unnerving...

Aela was right behind J'dol and Kayath. The young woman snorted at the Topaz. "Why do you hate Talath so much Kayath?" Aela felt a gentle nudge from behind her and she gently stroked her Obsidian's nose while waiting for J'dol and Kayath to respond. Ever since their Hatching the Topaz seemed to throw daggers at Talath. For what she didn't know and Aela didn't want bad blood between the two. Talath was silent as always and only spoke when she had something important to say or to chastise her. It was good for Aela because she could think in peace and only be disturbed when she wanted.
She loved her Obsidian very much and was glad for her. Aela went misty eyed every time she remembered when she Impressed to Talath. Your a good Dragon Talath. I love you! Warmth and affection were given to Aela in return. She turned and waited for the other Weyrlingpair/Sub-Queen pair. Aela didn't know J'dol all that well and was curious to know more about him AND as to why Kayath was the way she was with Talath.

D’tri and Chahaturth arrived shortly after Aela and Talath. They had gotten the call for another lesson right as he was about to get into the baths. So needless to say he wasn’t exactly happy to be there. Chahaturth on the other hand, was thrilled to be at another lesson just for the queens. There was one thing about being there that upset her though, it was the fact that Kayath had made it there before she had. She grumbled quietly at her rider, and complained about him taking so long to get ready in the first place.
Sorry that took us so long, I was in the middle of getting into the baths when you called. D’tri smiled sweetly as he spoke, and his voice held the same friendliness that his smile did. Chahaturth on the other hand, crooned a greeting to Loraketh and Talath and ignored the other topaz completely. I apologize for Mine Weyrwoman Inali. Chahaturth’s sweet voice sounded like she was almost wanted to eat her rider herself. She shook out her wings and sat down with her tail curled around her legs.

Iirla and Izanycorth came in last, knowing that they were late. She had a piece of parchment in her hand at the time and was walking and reading. She ran right into J'dol on her way in. "Oh... so sorry." She smiled sheepishly and took a step back. She had had plans today, but she had had to cancel them. She took a step back from J'dol and turned to Inali. "So sorry we were late... we were in the middle of some other things."
Izanycorth gave a slight hiss and a twitch of her tail. She was irritated at being beaten by all the others and sat curling her tail around her claws as she looked at Inali and Loraketh.
She turned her attention to the others and snorted. Flamethrowers...? Hrmm... Destruction... is a form of stress relief? There was a sudden blackness rolling of her dragon that had Iirla looking back at her with narrowed eyes and a sigh. She placed a hand on Izanycorth's shoulder and the dragoness twitched her tail again.
((Sorry... i know it is short.))

Let's see here love, Kayath's being a stubborn brat, Talath seems mildly disinterested, Chahaturth is being the normal one as usual, and Izanycorth....yeah, she's thinking about destruction via flames. That's a Queenlet after my own heart that one. Yep, everyone's here!
The gold yawned wide and shook out her wings, folding them back against her side and then flicking her tail. Oh yes, she was being insolent again and Inali could only smile. That's nice dearheart, now be a good girl and talk to them about their part of the lesson. Nodding, Loraketh trumpeted not even bothering to talk so much as demand that they come to the hatching sands. When her rider scolded her mentally, the Queen only snorted.
Hello, egg-sitting here. I'm not about to get up when they can come to me.
Sighing, Inali gave up and let the dragoness do as she wished. It wasn't like you could make a 50 foot creature do your will without getting a headache, and she wasn't in the mood for headaches today. Smiling wrily at J'dol's comment, Inali laughed and set the flamethrower down. "Oh, I know exactly how....proficient that method of stress-relief can be." Cocking an eye-brow she looked around.
"Seeing as you're all weyrlings though...and a certain bronzerider is busy, this will have to work." She smirked and pointed to a table with four 'throwers. "Okay, so how many of you understand the concept of a flamethrower?" Walking off and setting up a few markers for target practice, she hummed lightly. "So, how are all of you doing in your studies. Well I presume? Any...interesting things happening in your lives?" She leveled a knowing gaze with Iirla and J'dol, passing it off to D'tri as well. At least there's one that I don't have to worry about, she smiled as she looked at Aela.
Come on, come on, over here. No, I'm not even moving around, you don't have to really to do this so just curl up around where I am. NOT TOO CLOSE!
The Gold hissed as someone came a bit too near an egg. Snaking her tail around her clutch tighter, she crooned to the eggs. Now, sit. As you all are aware, it is a Queen's job to help her rider guide the Weyr. This is also in terms of you two Sub-Queens as well, especially since you serve as a mediator between the ranking members and the rest. Alright, so she wasn't being very politically correct, and this was coming from a dragoness that preferred a few greens to anyone else for company. However, she was a bit too testy to be polite.
There is something else however that you must take into consideration. We must keep in contact with the other Queens and Sub-Queens as well around Pern. Reach out, search them out. They will answer. Sayurith is a young gold around your age at Telgar for instance, I've contacted her for practice, Hers thinks this is a good idea for her as well. Try talking to her, she'll start first to help.
You called Loraketh?

J'dol chuckled knowingly at Inali's comment, though before he could respond a sudden angry feeling from Kayath caused him to turn around and see what was going on. The large topaz's voice assaulted his mind. J'dol! Can you believe her insolence? She thinks she can talk to me. RIGHT TO ME! How dare she! The dragonness stormed to her rider, her tail swishing in annoyance as her eyes raked over Aela's form. J'dol sighed and rubbed his temples, preparing himself for the next part of her statement before she had even begun saying it. You will tell the girl why I loathe the obsidian. I would do it myself but she is not worth my attention. J'dol was glad the topaz had at least taken the time to make sure to keep her words between the two of them, though it didn't make him feel any better about it. Calm down, stop acting like a twat. He berated, to which she began complaining, though he ignored her to smiled warmly at Aela.
"Sorry about her Aela. She can be a handful at times, but I wouldn't worry too much if I were you." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Despite Kayath's attitude, J'dol had nothing against the obsidian pair and he would have given anything for Kayath to get over whatever it was that bothered her/ "I think it's just a regular old sibling rivalry. You know how it is with kids." Not that Kayath and Talath could truly be considered kids, they were getting quite large, but they still had a lot of growing to do before they would be adult dragons. As if one sub-queen wannabe isn't enough, the orange wench is here too. I can't believe Izanycorth let these low-lifes beat her. She added to her rider. J'dol grimaced at the dragonesses words, but wated to D'tri nonetheless. He really would need to find some way to teach her how to act maturely around her fellow sub-queens.
A sudden bump from behind forced him to take a few steps forward to regain his balance. "That's quite a lot of force for a little lady like you," He teased, looking her over to make sure she hadn't hurt herself in the process. Really, Shorty? You let those two beat you here? Shame on you! Kayath rumbled grumpily to Izanycorth, and while her nickname may not be received too well, her voice held a soft fondness for the young gold. Alright, lesson's starting you. Stop being hissy at the others. J'dol berated before turning back to Inali.
"I'd say I've got a decent handle on 'throwers." J'dol chuckled, "Kayath won't touch stone if she can help it, so I've been getting a bit of practice." He smirked as her topic changed to their lives. Of course interesting things happened in his life on a daily base. "Oh course! How could anything uninteresting happen when I'm involved!" Kayath snorted stubbornly but stood at the call from Loraketh. Spreading her wings where she stood, she took off, hoping to toss at least a little dust on Chahaturth and Talath. Izanycorth would likely also get dusted, but that didn't seem to cross the Topaz's mind at the moment. With a few quick beats of her wings she was spiralling down and landing on the outskirts of the sands. She moved close to her mother, perhaps a bit too close, and stepped back at a warning hiss. She settled into the sands, noting with glee how utterly comfortable it seemed.
Sayurith darling? Can you hear me? Oh shards I'm not doing this right am I. Can you hear me now?
