A little white form zipped through the air above the Bowl, screeching loudly. A (NPC) green dragon was bathing in the lake, and Dolan dove at her tail, chirping playfully before flying away again, just ahead of her snapping jaws.
"Dolan!" an adolescent voice called, cracking on the last syllable, and Rhailqua held up a gloved arm, aiming a stern glance at the young firelizard. The white struck the glove and the bit of meat Rhailqua held with a thump, radiating happy thoughts. The little white made a handy partner, and Rhailqua scratched his eyeridge, earning a trill in return.
Dolan gripped Rhailqua's wrist carefully, eyes whirling orange and green with excitement as he chewed. "Hey, little guy," Rhailqua said approvingly. "You gotta leave the dragons alone."
big me, like Dolan answered, after a fashion, and Rhailqua rolled his eyes.
"Well, they don't all like you, got it?"

Leotie was on her own, wandering the WeyrBowl. Some would say that the young girl should be more worried considering she had just been kidnapped not long ago. The Weyrharper's daughter wasn't fearful though, or at least not that much. She had her mother's firelizards with her, as well as Chime which was partially her own. The green curled protectively around Hers neck. Her whirling eyes glanced at a darting white form, and crooned at it. The pull on Leotie's neck made her turn around, placing a hand over the small green's form as she tried to get free and chase after.
Chime chittered at Hers in return, she wanted to play too! Laughing, the young girl shook her head and her green warbled unhappily. Chime stayed though, turning her head to Tenor instead. The brown chriped in response, and went over to the white. Chittering, the brown greeted the smaller flit. Symphony likewise followed, observing his fellow white sibling. Leotie pushed her thick, dark hair behind an ear, upsetting Chime momentarily. "Hi there!" She waved a hand to the other person, wondering who he was in the Weyr. Maybe he was a candidate! Or maybe he had a dragon! She smiled as she rushed over, her skirt twisting slightly around her legs.
ooc: Sorry it's so short, my mom was making me hurry. >.<

(No worries)
Dolan trilled in response to the other firelizards, taking flight again to fly a tight circle around the brown. And there, there was another like him! Dolan chirped in a friendly way to Symphony, then headed back towards Rhailqua as Leotie approached.
"Hello," Rhailqua said quietly, seeing the girl get closer. "Are they all yours?" he asked, gesturing to the firelizards. "That's a lot of mouths to keep fed. Dolan here is enough for me." He didn't recognize her, so he held out one hand in greeting. "Name's Rhailqua. Candidate. What's yours?"

Leotie smiled, looking up at the older boy with dark eyes. "No, they're not all mine. They're my mom's actually, only Chime here is partially mine. We're both impressed to her." She smiled again, poking the green as she watched the white firelizards and her brown sibling flying in the air. She hissed though, coiling tighter around Hers neck and shoulders. She would stay here! Leotie nodded her head, looking back at the boy. "You're a candidate!?! That's amazing. I can't wait till I'm old enough. Of course I'm a harper apprentice too though. Just started actually when I got back from....well my name's Leotie."
The child paused and skipped over the part of her being one of the kidnapped children. There was no reason to mention that. She shifted, putting her hands behind her back and rocking on her heals. Looking around, she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. "Hey there!" She motioned for the young boy to come out of hiding, and his blue eyes widened beneath dark brown hair. "Come on over, we won't bite...right Rhailqua?" She snuck a quick glance in the candidate's direction. The boy slid out of his hiding place, a silvery blue flit chirping at them. Leotie made a happy oooh and pointed at the flit. "That's one of the new ones! Lazuli, right?"
The boy nodded his head and let himself smile a tiny bit. "Yeah, I'm Azeal, this is Belle." He rubbed his arm and shifted his feet. Glancing at the other candidate boy, he gave a weak smile. "I'm a candidate too...came from Ista...." He looked away quickly, feeling slightly uneasy.

Dolan settled himself on Rhailqua's shoulder, gripping the leather pad that protected the boy's clothing, and chirped a greeting to Belle as she and her Impressed approached. Rhailqua smiled at the girl. "I'm a glasscrafter apprentice. My da's a Master." His gaze shifted to the other boy, returning the smile he offered up.
"Two of us then," Rhailqua said. "What're you hoping to get?" Of course, every boy dreamed of bronze, but just about anything would suit Rhailqua. He knew he'd love a green just as much. He looked to Leotie. "What about you? What color do you want?"

Leotie laughed when the candidate asked her what she wanted. She didn't even know if she'd stand, and honestly she didn't want to think of it. That was still a good four turns away after all. "I'm only eight, I guess I don't entirely look it though. I suppose a green, or one of those amethysts would be nice. I really like the new Obsidians too. The one that came from Ista is so nice, so is her rider." She smiled as she remembered the few times her mother had taken her to see the Obsidianrider. Chime chirped at Belle as she looked at the strange flit. Blue in her mind meant male, yet this was a female. She was so...strange.
The green flicked her wings, almost dismissively, and trilled then. Instead she turned to her brown brother and crooned. Of course, Tenor ignored her. He flew down to a warm rock and curled up. Shaking her head, Chime chittered and fluttered her wings. Azeal laughed at this, "I don't know what I'll get. I suppose any dragon is a good dragon as long as it's healthy right?" He smiled at this, thinking of what it would be like to impress one of those creatures.
