Akira smiled as she finished wipping off Oridith's blue hide. Well, there you go, all clean. Oridith crooned at His when she finally finished cleaning him. Kikimine I would like to see my siblings. He looked up at His as he spoke, and crooned. She raised an eye brow at him and his question. She wasn't a very social person, but it seemed to her that her dragon was quite differant. Alright Ori, but we can't bother anyone alright? She giggled when her dragon crooned happily at her. Does that mean we have to wait Kikimine? Oridith sat down next to Akira, and wrapped his tail around her legs. Yes it does Ori. She nodded her head, and reached down to pat the small blue on his head. She really did like his markings. She had always thought that she would impress a female, but she would never give him up. Not for anything on Pern. He crooned at His thoughts, and that made her jump a little. She had forgotten all about his ability to know what she was thinking. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ D'tri rolled his eyes as Chahaturth fanned her wings, making the sun glint off of them. D'triMine, don't you think your Chahaturth is beautiful? She turned her swirling gaze on her rider as she spoke. Of course I do Cha. He smiled when the female crooned and seemed to prance in place. He shook his head when he heard his topaz hissing at her sister. He had a feeling that she would never get a long with her golden sister. Come D'triMine, let us remove ourselves from IT'S company. He heard the hiss in her voice, and shook his head. Alright you, calm down. He sighed as he spoke, and led his dragon away from where the other weyrlings were feeding themselves. Chahaturth crooned as she walked beside Her's. She needed to find the perfect place to sit, that way she could get the attention she truly deserved. D'tri wondered if she would always be like this, but decided that that was a train of thought for another time.

Iz looked up at her sister and hissed right back. She didn't like her anymore than her sister liked her. "Hush, darling... That's not how you should act. You are a wonderful, beautiful creature. The best. Shhh..." she was oiling the gold's hide now and taking great care in doing so, making sure she didn't miss a spot. Ama was sitting on her shoulder, feeling irrtated and angry that hers was now having to be shared and showing so much devotion to this thing. Izanycorth looked at the flitter, lifting her head from the bucket and gave a low hiss. The little sub-queen, Mine, is a pest sometimes. She didn't want to share Iirla with her, but she was with her first. The ametrine hissed at the gold and it seemed it was going to become a spectacle again. "That's enough, Ama, Iz." She looked at them both seriously. Iz? Iirla chuckled. It's just a nickname. Something I'll call you, but no one else can. It's special. The queen snorted slightly, but there was a warm feeling from her. Iirla smiled. Then I will call you La, IirlaMineLove the gold looked at hers with whirling eyes. "Whatever you want, hon." She reached over and gently scratched her eyeridges. Yes, she was a handful to a point, but she was an amazing handful. She made sure to polish her hide the best she could. There was shine there. It just wasn't the brightest shine in the world. But that didn't matter. She was a unique and beautiful Gold. "There we go... How do you feel, Iz?" The gold crooned gently. I feel much better. Do I look beautiful, LaMine? Iirla smiled. "Yes you do. You are the most beautiful dragoness here. Without a doubt." She crooned, which almost sounded like a purr and Iirla gently whiped the blood and disgusting bits of meet from her mouth with an old towel. "There. Let's make sure we keep you clean, alright, little one. We still have quite the night ahead of us." I will not be little forever, LaMine. Iirla grinned. ----- ((Raevin in next post when I have more time!))

After His had cleaned him up and brushed and oiled his hyde, Kelath flexed his bronze wings. His was a quiet one, but that was good. He wasnt particularly the talkative type himself. He leaned over and nudged His D'rian. D'rian mine, now that im full and clean, lets have some fun. Let's go meet my brothers and sisters and theirs?"He smiled his easy charming smile and scratched the bronze's head. "Alright Kelath. But lets be cool about it okay? I didnt even have the time to introduce myself to all the candidates yet, so it'll be new for me too." His scratch elicited an appreciative croon from the little bronze and he pushed His closer to the other dragonets and their new partners. Flicking his wing sweetly at his golden sister. Hello. You should not let our topaz sibling bother you so. You're our queen and ten times as beautiful as any who has come before. Even our mother. D'rian grinned nudging the bronze. ~ Well well, smooth talker eh?~ the amusement in the thought was clear as a bell and he was answered with a narrowed eye and a bump a bit rougher than before. It's not nice to teaze D'rianMine....

Akilu made another sweep over Lorendyth's dark hide. The green crooned, happy to be free of the egg mess and sand. That really hurt actually now that she thought about it. The dragonet nuzzled Her's hand as she moved it to put the rag away, licking it gently. Hmmm. Mine, who is Rayne? She's in your memories. The green's voice was full of curiosity but a hint of jealousy also rang under it. Akilu froze though. Rayne, and she...not he. That meant Lorendyth had saw memories or thoughts of her daughter. Akilu bit her lip to stop the tears, then let herself sigh. It wasn't like she could keep herself away from her dragonet.
"Ray was my daughter. She died not long after I gave birth." Lorendyth nodded her head, crooning thoughtfully. Your clutchparents made you do chores. They stopped loving you....why Mine? Did they not see how wonderful you were anymore? Akilu nodded her head. "Something like that. I have you now, and Saka, and Rayne my blue flit. I have friends like Addy too." The weyrling smiled softly at those thoughts, and Lorendyth crooned, pleased. Winding herself around Hers partially, the dark green nuzzled her head onto the girl's lap.
It was at that moment when Rayne chose to show up, the blue firelizard crooning to His and DarkOne. Looking up, Lorendyth crooned back. He was pleasant enough, and not a bother for now. Glancing around, the dragoness spotted her Garnet brother. Oh BraymothDear! Come over and say hello why don't you? A wonderfully clever male such as yourself should meet everyone he can, shouldn't he. Besides, what's the point in making friends with Royals if they lack the devious mind you play so beautifully? Lorendyth's croon was a soft whisper in the red dragonet's mind alone. To Hers, it only seemed like the green was looking at him. Then, she turned her head back to Akilu and crooned happily. Don't you think my eyes are pretty? I do. Oh! Not to mention you're pretty too.
Lorendyth warbled as Akilu thanked her. That's right pet, just think I'm a simple-minded green. Of course, she kept that thought to herself only.
Ooc: I'll do Saka and Arreth later.

Jillalene passed the oilcloth over Eulurth's hide happily, eliciting rumbles of pleasure from her new blue lifemate as he finished off the pieces at the bottom of the bucket she'd shredded for him. He leaned against her and she laughed sweetly. "Are you always going to be so pushy my love?" He pulled his head out of his bucket and wound his neck around her looking up at her. "You started it Lenemine. That oil feels good. It feels good to be clean!" The voice that echoed in her thoughts was deep and smooth, tinged with plaintive amusement. She smiled and kissed him on the nose before he turned back to his meal. Very true Eulurth love, it does feel absolutely wonderful to be clean." She felt herself lighter than air as she smoothed her hands over his blue hyde and gave his hip a loving pat. "All finished EulurthMine." She just then looked up to see who all had joined her. many of the male hatchlings had abandoned the male candidates and chosen the girls. Well, trelis was never really known for it's normalicy. Finishing his meal Eulurth looked up and dersive laughter rocked through her mind. "Sister Apath will not find that one so easy my own. Serves her prideful flitterbrained hyde right..." His voice held a touch of scorn and pride that he'd ended up with such a beautiful candidate who doted on him and his pretty prideful sister was stuck with That one. She tapped him on the nose and he narrowed his eyes at her. "Lovemine, I know she hurt your feelings fluttering you off like that, but my handsome boy shouldnt be petty okay? " He grumbled and rolled his eyes, bumping her hip in playful ascent. Lene mine, let's go further off now? Brother Braymoth comes and he has a nasty habit of playing rough. I dont think mother or the other old ones would appreciate me killing him to protect you, Mine."She started in suprise seeing the Garnet and Yufa coming toward them. "My own love, at least let us say hi to them before we go. Braymoth may be a bit troublesome, but lets try not to alienate them too much right off the bat." She smiled at the mental sigh he heaved at her. Alright fine. But Carefully, mine... she smiled at Yufa."Congratulations Everyone!"

We have dallied long enough. Hurry up so we may go meet my siblings. His tailed swished as he looked over to where a couple of the dragonets were already coming together. He was growing impatient with His’ slowness. She would learn soon enough that he demanded quickness. He would let her be for now though, making ‘friends’ would be impossible if they thought he did nothing but hurt His. A voice rang through his mind. How interesting, someone was brave enough to contact him? Not to mention it was done in such a way that said only good things about him. How interesting, he would definitely need to meet this brave sibling of his. He used his head to push Yufa along to the other weyrlings, no longer willing to wait for her to finish, though luckily she had been about done anyway.
The two approached Akilu, though Yufa had the feeling she wasn’t expecting them. Hello, my wonderful sister. You are quite brave to be so fearless of me. I like bravery, even if it is foolish. Yufa smiled nervously at Akilu, hoping Braymoth wouldn’t cause any harm to the girl and her green, and she did her best to keep her thoughts hidden from the garnet, thought she didn’t know how successful she was being. “Congratulations Akilu,” She said with a light curtsey, trying to keep as much distance from the other pair as possible. Braymoth wound his neck around so that his teeth filled maw rubbed against her cheek. Oh YufaMine… no need to be so shy.. Come let us get nice and close to my beautiful little sister. It is not polite to avoid others, now is it? He had pulled the knowledge from Yufa’s mind, and the girl’s worry increased ten-fold. He could manipulate her with that knowledge, knowing she couldn’t break her training easily. With a deep breath she moved closer to Akilu, forcing a smile. She forced the same smile as she glanced out at the others gathered there, noticing that Jillalene had smiled at her. She had to admit, it was comforting, seeing such friendliness towards her. Thinking back, she couldn’t remember such acceptance from the weyrlings towards Loraketh’s garnet child, and the garnet weyrling from Ista had been greeted with reservation and fear as well. She let an actual smile form then, tiny and almost unnoticeable. Maybe.. Just maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all…
Braymoth, meanwhile, noticed his golden sister nearby and crooned to her and then to his Topaz sister. He would do well to get on the good sides of the higher ups.
“Come on Panyth! It looks like the weyrlings are starting to meet! We should go down there shouldn’t we? We are going to be part of their class aren’t we?” He glanced quickly at Pan for permission, but was to excited to actually wait for a response. So instead he simply jumped up from his seat, the rainbow dragon hot on his heals as he made his way quickly down to the hatching sands. So many hatchlings! Not at all like the hatching where he found Panyth, or rather Panyth found him. It was a curious thing wasn’t it. Would Panyth still be his if he hadn’t been one of the candidates woken in the middle of the night? It sure was a good thing he had chosen to sleep near the edge of the room. Panyth was oddly quiet beside him, the Opal was more intent to look at the hatchlings than worry about His’ thoughts.
V’koi picked up on that and pulled himself out of those thoughts. Panyth was his, and he was Panyth’s. That’s all there was to it. He reached the newly impressed pairs and shot up a hand in an excited wave to make sure at least someone had seen him, though his ridiculously colourful outfit and dragon would no doubt accomplish that.
“Hi guys!”

Akira watched as more and more weyrlings finished feeding and oiling their dragons. Then they all moved away from the food, and oiling suplies, and made their way closer to where her and Oridith were. It's ok Kikimine. Your Oridith will be with you. Oridith looked up at his rider as he spoke, and gave her an affectionate croon. Akira smiled and patted her blue dragon on the head affectionately before turning her attention back to the other weyrling pairs.
Alright Ori, might as well get this over with. Akira had a feeling her dragon would have gone to see his siblings even if she wasn't following him. Oridith trilled when His finally said that they were going to go see his siblings. He walked a little ways ahead of His as they headed towards the others. She wasn't sure who they approached first, but she sure as Faranth wasn't going to let Oridith go anywhere near that garnet brother of his.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
D'tri watched as more of the weyrlings decided to join them after they finished feeding and oiling their dragonets. Well D'triMine, who shall we grace with our presince first? He rolled his eyes at Chahaturth's words. He really didn't understand his female dragon. Well, we obviously can't go and see your sister and her rider. He didn't even try to hide the sarcasm in his voice as he spoke to her. It was pretty plain to see that the two really didn't like each other.
Chahatruth crooned sweetly as she looked over her male siblings. We should go see one of them D'triMine. They will give us the proper attention. D'tri shook his head and sighed at his weyrling's words. He did like men, but Cha liked them a lot more than he did. Alright, which one? He knew she had a few brothers, but which one would she want to go meet first was the question. He had a feeling that she would want them all to come and see her, but he wasn't sure if he really was ready to meet them all.
Jillalene rolled her eyes as her Eulurth wound his neck around her pulling her closer to the others further away from Yufa and her Braymoth. Eulurthmylove, Braymoth might be a bit bigger and scary, but That's no reason to take it out on Yufa too... She cant help it that he impressed to her.
His thought he was scared of his garnet brother? He chuffed in rebuke bumping her a little rougher than he intended, but he didnt apologize to His. You are MINE. I don't like him. You shouldn't either. And your Eulurth isnt afraid of ANYONE. Not even the bronze or the queen.
Dont be angry eulurth love, I didnt mean that you were scared of him. I only meant that it seems like most of your brothers and sisters are..... well with the exception of your more slow sisters... she ammended her thought as she saw the females crooning to the large garnet.
Shaking her head she kissed the tip of his nose again eliciting a plaintive croon somewhere between pleasure and a whine. I'm sorry if It seemed like i doubted you in the slightest love mine. I know better. You're the best dragon in the whole group. And we'll show them all.
She gave him a boltering smile and he rubbed his head against her stomache almost making her fall straight into the opal weyrling that had just arrived, laughing happily.
"H-Hi!"
G'daro grinned widely as hide oiled Banemith's hide. He had just Impressed the young brown and the two were getting along nicely. It was when he finished wiping the oil into his skin when Banemith crooned. G'daroMine I want to see my siblings. Yes, yes we will see them soon. G'daro reassured him. There, all done. Now let's go. The two walked to where all the new riders were chatting.
As they walked around to find a rider to chat with, G'daro saw the new queen. My sister will be a fine queen. Banemith told his rider. You think so? G'daro replied. Yes. When I'm older, I might be able to have hatchlings of my own. he told him. Alright, let's go meet her! G'daro said.
The two walked up to the queen and Banemith crooned. "Hi!" G'daro said.
There was another white dragon approaching? He hadn't known there was one in the Weyrlings from Ista. And a guy was his rider. L'in was relieved to see that, feeling some of his tension ease.
This one had more colors then his did, and was gleaming a bit in the sun. So there were three of these white with colors on them hatched in the past couple weeks. Had the blue and purple appeared as theother one got older or had he been born that way? Hm. The other white one from this hatching was pink winged and speckled. Were they different types? Dragons ranked by size and color. Judging by both, he would not be a leaderin the Weyr. The future leasders were already grouping and chatting together.
L'in gave V'koi a grin back and a wave, hoping he'd get a chance to meet the other Weyrling. For now, he'd have to do a better job of cleaning his hatchling, despite the waves of emotion coming at him. He was full and sleepy and a bit sad. Of the three, some of the sadness was his but L'in was actually rather hungry and thirsty. And he wanted out of here and out of this uncomfortable robe. Getting his arm proplerly cleaned and bandaged wasn't a bad idea either - but first, he needed to clean this hatchling better.
Peryth was sad. His rider was not acting like the person Peryth could feel he was, at all. He wasn't sure why and he was tired. His belly was full and tight and most of the sticky stuff was off of him. Out of his egg he could hear and see lots of other dragons around. This was comforting, He crooned in appreciation as his own started cleaning him again, getting the last itchy sticky bits off and putting on something that made him feel so good.
Iz watched her sister as she walked past some distance away and hissed. That thing thinks she is so much better than me! Iirla looked up at the passing Topaz. There is not dragoness more beautiful than you, Iz, she told her, though she was entirely biased. That was about the time that the Bronze came up to greet his sister. Would you look at this, Iz. You already have a suitor.Iz gave a soft croon, puffing up with pride. So she wasn't a normal Queen. So she didn't want to be a queen... It was kind of nice to have some attention that she was due as a gold, even if she rather have fun than act like royalty. Iz nearly purred at his flirtatious actions and comments. Thank you very much, BrotherMine. She shuffled her wings slightly, settling them again, her head held high, neck held in a beautiful arch. Iirla looked at Iz. Seemed they had been through this before. Iirla smiled. He was handsome, but that didn't mean she trusted him yet. She didn't know him, really. She was being cautious, of course. That was all. She was always being cautious. And, as usual, Ama was being defiant. She stood and bowed slightly to D'rian out of habit. He looked like one of the ladies or lords she had served in the past. Don't do that, mine. Iz was not happy about that. She wasn't a perfect gold. It bothered her. Her rider wasn't acting like a perfect gold's rider. That bothered her too. ------ Are you almost finished, Mine. I want to go tell that no good brother of mine whatfor for hurting you. R'vin chuckled, shaking his head. "That is a very bad idea, Umeith. Let's leave him be and forget it for now. If he does it again, then maybe I'll let you get him... if you can get yer brother to help."The blue snorted. Why would I need him to help me? I have you, don't I?R'vin shook his head again. "Come on." With that he walked over to another Blue Rider from the clutch, Akira and Oridith. "Hello, I am Raev-R'vin and this is Umeith." He motioned to his blue who was standing beside him, standing tall and proud, head held high.
Kordelia, perhaps we should go introduce ourselves. Isanoth was just finishing his last chunk of meat, and his whirling eyes had begun to watch his siblings as they congregated around. Many of them had also finished their first meals, and been cleaned, and now they were being social and interacting with one another. It seemed like a good thing to do, and he found himself considering it.
Kordelia frowned, glancing up at them. "Wouldn't you much rather I oiled you or brushed your hide clear of sand again?" she asked. She was not particularly well known for being social, and Impression hadn't really changed that.
But that was exactly why Isanoth wanted to nudge her out of her shell. Not because he wanted to change her-- oh no, he loved her as she was. But he did want to make her less lonely, because lonely was a painful emotion, and he wanted his bond to feel no pain. I am quite sure. It would do us good, I think. We cannot shoulder the burden of the world ourselves. this was said with a light chide to his voice, and he didn't wait for her answer before stepping away from his bowl of food and moving to join the other dragonets. Kordelia looked away helplessly, watching another pair: this one a big farm boy and his new amethysty-- come to the feeding tables.
Well, perhaps it wouldn't be so bad.
She followed Isanoth, who was walking to Panyth and V'kol. They had just descended to join the candidates, and Kordelia paid the rider a helpless little wave. Isanoth, meanwhile, was fascinated by the days-older opal. You are like me, but older! Was there a clutch here, so shortly before ours? Or are you a sibling of mine, early hatched? he couldn't help the questions- he was so curious, and he though he'd recognized all his siblings here amongst them. This was not one of his siblings-- at least not one who had hatched today-- but certainly the other opal was not old enough to be any of the other dragons around them.
