I’m coming home I’m coming home Tell the World I’m coming home Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday I know my kingdom awaits and they’ve forgiven my mistakes I’m coming home, I’m coming home Tell the World that I’m coming
It had been so long since she had been here last. Inali sighed, breathing in the familiar air of the Weyr. The Bowl was such a welcome sight as Loraketh slipped in from between, the Queen trumpeting to call the dragons and riders out to greet the newcomers. Biting her lip, Inali shook her head. She didn't like that the new Weyrleader had insisted on bringing some Southern riders with him. She liked it less that these were many of the same riders that had participated in her dragoness' flight.
Relax LiliMine. They won't try anything with us at our home. They would be fools to try that. The gold dragoness crooned a laugh and settled onto the Weyr Bowl's ground, dipping her neck down for Inali to get off. She still felt slightly weak from her time in Southern, and the short trip between had only made it worse. Putting a hand to her head, the Weyrwoman forced her arm down with effort and straightened her shoulders. She would not look weak now! She refused to.
Leveling her head to meet the gaze of those who were gathering around the new riders and dragons, she smiled reassuringly. "Everyone welcome the new Weyrleader Ar'rex and the Southern Riders that follow him. They will be...serving time here with us, perhaps permently. Do not worry though, the Wingleaders will remain the same." She emphasized this, narrowing her eyes at the new Weyrleader to show her stead-fast approach to this matter. What she had said was unheard of for a Weyrwoman to speak. Weyrleaders chose the Wingleaders, not the Women, but to between with traditions.
We're already breaking them left and right. The bitter thought made her cross her arms and Inali set her jaw. Loraketh nudged her back, crooning lightly before turning to greet Avirith as the green settled beside her Queen. "Welcome back Inali. It's good to see you're safe. The twins will be glad to have their mother back too." Ara gave a brief hug to her friend before chattering on about Weyrling training. Things that Inali could care less about. She wanted to see her daughters. Send the Headwoman to get them please love.
Her dragoness snorted, rolling her eyes. She is already on her way. Would it make use for me to tell her to hurry? It wasn't really a question though it was posed as one. With Loraketh's LiliMine's and uncharacteristic behaviors, Inali was keeping a close eye on the Gold. She normally was not this...loose perhaps was a good way of describing it? Oh, pay it no mind My Love. The dragoness laughed before curling up in the middle of the Weyr Bowl, crooning for a certain bronze to join her.
Stallorth's prescence certainly would irk the Southern brown that she had chosen that day. If dragons could smirk, Loraketh would have that exact expression on her face. Oh how it was wonderful to be a girl sometimes. Her eyes flashed red briefly before she reached out for four particular minds.. Izanycorth, Chahaturth, Kayath, Talath, it's time you four met these new members of our home.
Back where I belong, yeah I never felt so strong I feel like there’s nothing that I can’t try And if you're with me, put your hands high If you ever lost a light before, this ones for you And you, the dreams are for you

T'rian was not a very happy person as he held on to Stallorth's large bronze neck as he gently landed in his home Weyr bowl. It is good to be home at least T'rianMine. The ex-Weyrleader took no comfort from his dragon's words. He shook his head. He might not be Weyrleader anymore, but at least he still had Inali. He smirked as he remembered the events that took place after Loraketh's flight. The new Weyrleader wasn't too happy that Inali had chosen to be with him instead. When T'rian climbed off of Stallorth's back, he walked straight over to Inali, and reached for her hand. Welcome home my dear. He smiled softly at her, and wondered if she would let him wrap his arms around her, even though he was no longer the Weyrleader. Then Ara arrived, and when he heard her speak of the twins, he wondered how they were doing since their parents had been gone. It will be good to see them again. He nodded his head slowly, and sighed. T'rian smiled and waved at the Weyrling Master. So, how are the weyrlings doing Ara? He was trying to make small talk, and trying not to show his real emotions. He was doing his best to keep his disapproval of the new Weyrleader to himself, but that was no easy task. Needless to say, he wasn't happy with the Southern riders, but there was nothing he could do about it now. After all, he was just another rider. He looked around at the familiar faces, and was truly glad to be home. Stallorth shook his large bronze body after he let his rider climb off. He looked around at the familiar surroundings and crooned. It was good to be back home, around dragons and humans he was used to. Though, he could live without the dragon's, and their riders, from Southern. He turned to face Loraketh when she crooned, and slowly started walking towards her. He wasn't even sure if she had crooned for him, though, the thought of what that brown would do truly amused him. It is good to be back home isn't it Loraketh? Stallorth stood next to the golden queen, and looked down at her as he spoke. He saw her eyes flash red, and wondered if it was because of him. He was unsure, but stood tall and proud beside her. There was no way he was going to show uncertainty around that...BROWN! He shook his head, and swallowed back the growl that wanted to come out whenever he thought about that...thing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ D'tri sighed as he watched his topaz inspect herself. In all of his life he would never have thought he would impress such a vain dragoness. Chaha, you look fine. His exasperation was clear in his voice. Mine you know Queen Loraketh and the others are returning today!!! I want to look my best, and you should too!!! Chahaturth practically hissed at her rider as she spoke. She wanted to make a good impression after all. Chahaturth seemed to shiver as she heard her aunt call for her and the other ranking females. Come D'triMine, we have been summoned. D'tri raised an exasperated eyebrow at his dragon, but none the less he walked over to her, and scratched her eye ridges affectionately. Alright you, let me up and let's go. He climbed up onto the young Topaz's back, and held on tightly. He could practically see her excitement radiating off of her, and didn't want to fall off. When her rider was secure, Chahaturth quickly started to run for the Weyr bowl. Though, she quickly slowed her pace to an eloquent walk as she neared the crowd of people and dragons, that surrounded the newcomers. She stopped long enough to let D'tri off of her back, and walked proudly beside her rider. D'tri kept his head held high, after all, he didn't want to have to deal with an upset topaz if he didn't do his best to make her look good in front of all these people. Instead of walking straight to Loraketh, as Chahaturth was doing, D'tri walked over to Inali, and bowed his head to her as he spoke. Welcome back Weyrwoman Inali. He wasn't exactly sure what to say to T'rian since he was no longer the Weyrleader, so he kept his mouth shut. Though he did bow his head to the ex-Weyrleader, and saluted him. After all, he didn't want to be impolite or disrespectful. Especially since T'rian was a senior rider. Chahaturth walked straight for her aunt Loraketh, and eloquently bowed to the older female queen. Greetings and welcome back Queen Loraketh. After respectfully greeting the golden queen, she turned her head and looked around for her, pain-in-the-neck sister, and the other's that had been called. She smirked when she saw that she was the first one to arrive. Perfect, just perfect. She would have rumbled with laughter had she wanted to explain herself to Loraketh. ((OOC: All my other characters are here if you want to interact with them. Except for Talian of course.))

LaMine, Loraketh and Her's return. They are calling for us. Come. Iirla was, as she had been much of the time since the storm had hit, busy tending to what she could and caring for everyone she could. Oh! That sister of mine is already there! How can she be such a brat, Kayath, to think she is worthy to arrive before either of us! The gold had taken quite a liking to Loraketh's Topaz daughter. If only because she disliked Chahaturth as much as Iz herself did. She waited somewhat impatiently for Iirla to emerge from the lower caverns and once she did, insisted that she should rider her, though they could not fly as of yet, to meet Loraketh. The young queen wished she could fly. she wanted to be in the air. She wanted to go exploring. She wanted to have adventures. But she was a queen. Such things were not allowed so easily for her. The others were so lucky. And the other females... They all thought the were so much better. so much more beautiful. Iirla felt her getting riled up and frowned. Things like that seemed petty, but the spitfire girl who had been doing so well at keeping herself from acting as such, was starting to feel the stubborn hot streak coming back again. She hoped that that was not something to prove problematic in the future. She gently patted Iz's side as they headed at a quicker pace to meet Loraketh... and the new Weyrleader. They have done this on purpose. Loraketh will make them pay. And when I fly, I will see to it that they do then as well. That was all Iz told her, a devious feeling slipping of the dragon to her rider. Iirla could not count how many headaches she had been given during the time that Inali was gone... some of them caused by her dragon. Izanycorth held her head high as she approached before allowing Iirla to slip from her back. She ignored Chahaturth all together. She was not worthy of her attention. Or Kayath's for that matter. Welcome home, QueenLoraketh, Stallorth, she said formally to the two dragons, sizing up the others there. Of course she was young and they were all bigger than her, but she was still a queen... Or she was trying to act like one. In fact, on the inside she was shaking terribly. Iirla knew that, but she would not let anyone else know. "Weyrwoman Inali," she said with a small smile, "It is good to have you back with us." ------ As soon as A'vin was on the ground, he headed to Talvi and wrapped an arm around her waist. He was still upset with her for risking herself and her dragon. But... He also felt a little bit guilty just because Vinerath had participated in Loraketh's flight.... "Are you alright, Talvi...?" he asked her again, which must have been for the thousandth time since last night. Vinerath stretched his still sore wings and settled them against his back. Bother. His was certainly becoming obsessed with this idea of betraying Talvi. Of course... she was his mate... --------- Look mine... A young queen and the sub-queens we have heard about... So interesting, yes SamMine? Samara shook her head and patted her rather... excited brown. He was just glad to be somewhere with more opportunities... Though, unfortunately, it was also with the man who hated her and the idea of a woman achieving much of anything.... fortunately, however, it was with Gl'wein... And she found him interesting. Speaking of... She walked over to stand next to him, wearing a smile that was obviously somewhat forced. She was looking at those who were being called. These were all clutching dragons? A blessed Weyr this was...

Ar’rex’s mind had been wandering while their little group traveled to the new Weyr-his Weyr actually. The brownrider grinned slyly at the thought. Yes he was feeling slightly elated and even a little cocky, but could you blame him? After all, it wasn’t very often that a brown became King. Oh but the new Weyrleader wasn’t all smiles however. Already things weren’t going to plan and this little Weyrwoman of his, for she was and would be, was already attempting to proceed to tell him what he could and could not do. Oh no, no, this wasn’t going to do at all.
That is why we have brought my brothers, yes? Ar’rex snapped out of his long line of thought as the familiar voice of his beloved dragon crept into his head. The dark haired man leaned over the brown neck and patted the dark hide in reassurance. Yes my friend. That is why your brothers and my comrades are joining us. We need backup if we are going to set Trelis straight. Sithorath rumbled in response as the pair glided towards the Weyr Bowl before gently landing in the hot sands. Ar’rex remained with his dragon for a few moments after landing, even after freeing his legs and removing his riding jacket and helmet. He was observing the antics of the Trelis riders as they reacted to being back home before returning his attention to his own ‘crew’. One by one they landed and dismounted, each seemingly with a scowl hidden behind forced smiles. Yes, yes, lot’s to be done here. A few more moments of silent observation passed before Ar’rex decided to join the fray on the sands and stepped up beside his appointed Wingsecond and third, doing his best to ignore Inali’s attempt at passing an order his way. The woman was beautiful but infuriating at the same time. He shook his head lightly at her words as she so carelessly sent another tradition flying out the Weyr.
“So much has fallen into disarray here, with traditions being thrown so carelessly away. Let’s see if we can not fix this shall we? J’degar,” Rex turned to his Wingthird. “I would like you to be in charge of a, oh what shall we call it… a revamping task of sorts. They’ve clearly lost all respect for the old traditions and since I know how you relish them more then most, I would like you to correct any infractions you happen to find.” He ruffled his helmet hair as his blue eyes snapped to where his woman and that blasted bronzerider stood. “Feel free to use whatever correctional means you find necessary…especially when it comes to that boy laying a hand on the Weyrwoman. They‘ll learn in time…”
Sithorath cocked his head slightly so he could keep his good eye fixed on His as the man dismounted and strode away. He never could, or did, understand the actions of others, now more then ever. As His walked away the WeyrKing began to survey those in attendance, making sure to pay close attention to the younglings as they began to trot across the sands to greet their golden mother. Such strange practices they held but was it not to be expected that all Weyrs would behave a little differently then the next?
The brown grumbled at these thoughts as his let his head swivel to watch the others before he spotted a gold and a bronze form move away from the crowd and settle down in the warm sands together. He felt the beginnings of a growl form in his chest as he watched the pair lay side by side. It was all too close for his liking. The corner of his lip pulled back in a silent snarl before he stopped himself and tore his gaze away with an agitated huff. Sithorath was no fool. He knew what she was trying to do to him. If the young Queen wanted to act like a green so be it. His would sort this out and put these hatchlings in their places. If that didn’t succeed then the lanky brown would step in and put right this total mess. _______________________________________
No sooner had bronze Solarith touched down in the familiar warmth of the Weyr Bowl did S’val furiously unstrap his legs and jump to the ground, ripping his helmet and tossing it to the sand as he strode furiously to where Inali, T’rian and those bastards stood. Yes it was common for wings to shuffle around once a new Weyrleader was chosen but to simply replace the Junior Weyrleader, that was simply unheard of! “Where do you get off!?” S’val spat at the Southerner, now Weyrleader. There weren’t enough marks on Pern that would get this Trelis Rider to accept Ar’rex and call him Weyrleader.
Control yourself S’valMine! No matter what we may think of them for stripping away your rank, he is still Weyrleader… A heavy growl followed his words as he eyed the half blind, sub-king who had bested him in his Queens flight. It was clear Solarith wasn’t too pleased about everything either, his eyes flashing crimson as he fed off of His’ emotions. S’val came to a stop mere yards away from where the Southern riders stood and eyed them each with a look filled with daggers. His chest heaved from the pent up frustration and adrenaline but he attempted to ease it for now by clenching his fists at his side and digging his nails into the palms of his hands. Surely Inali would give him the subtle order to kill the smug bastard and end this silly charade before it gets even more out of hand.

THey have returned J'dolMine! Kayath rumbled, rising from where she rested near the caves again. J'dol, having been lounging on her back during a moment of rest, shot awake and quickly grabbed hold of her neck ridge, knowing the Topaz would not take the time to get their riding straps. She was airborn in a matter of moments and quickly directed her flight towards the Weyr, grumbling about likely not being there first. The yellowy form of the topazbrat below proved that, and Kayath grumbled low in her throat as she landed nearby. J'dol slipped off her back and gave a wave to Inali, though he figured enough had been said already; they were all glad to see their Weyrwoman home and well. He also smiled warmly at D'tri and Iirla, but his smile did.
Kayath snorted at Chahaturth as she moved to stand near Izanycorth. She arrived early only to make our own arrivals better my little queen Kayath replied to the gold, We drew many more looks than her ugly hide did. Wether that was true or not didn't matter to Kayath. After all, she had beaten her silly obsidian sister here so of that she was at least mildly happy.
Mother, welcome home. She dipped her head to Loraketh before glancing out at the various Trelis bronzes and browns that had returned with her. And welcome home to all the brave warriors as well. She crooned softly. Glancing over the Southern dragons. There was something about them she didn't like.. but she couldn't place her claw on it... maybe once they started fawning over her she would change her mind.
Things will change, Ad'os. Are you prepared? The rider in question slipped off Soheath's back after they landed, not ready to answer the question. Leadership changed with flights, it was a Weyr tradition, a Weyr rule. Never before, though, had he heard of a dragon from another Weyr winning without being invited to the Queen's Weyr to participate. It still didn't sit well with him. He looked over at the gathered riders, seeking out the riders and weyrlings he knew, making sure nothing bad had happened in their absense.
He jumped up at the 'new Weyrleader's' first comment though. Who did he think he was?! Weyrleader, Ad'osMine. Soheath reprimanded. You would do well to remember that. Addy quieted, grimacing and waiting.
J'degar smirked as the wing arrived from between, his eyes quickly taking in the new Weyr. He wished he could have called it his, but Syphraelth had not been successful in the flight. He felt the brown's apology in his mind and gave him an affectionate thump on the neck. They weren't in charge, but things might still go their way.
He had to admit, he had never expected Ar'rex to bring him along to Trelis, but now that he had... Gar felt he could trust in the man somewhat. he was planning something, Gar didn't know what yet, but hopefully it would follow some of his own goals. Syphraelth touched down in position with the rest of the wing, and scoffed as the Weyrwoman dared to take matters of leadership into her own hands. Traditions meant nothing here, apparently. Didn't she know that Weyrwomen were in charge of inter-weyr issues, like tithes? Men, the Weyrleader specifically, was in charge of the wing placements, and if he chose to switch the wings, not even the goldrider would be able to do anything about it. This was the problem with empowering women; they let the power go to their heads! A female greenrider of some sort decided she was allowed to simply walk up and treat the Weyrwoman like her equal. WOMEN!
He couldn't spend too long mentally complaining about the women though, as Syph's voice cut through his thoughts. The abominations have come. The brown rumbled lightly as J'degar slid off his back to stand in his designated, wingthird position near the Weyrleader. He didn't hold the hatred for the new colours as his rider did, but even the brown saw the mutants as something not right. Gar glanced over as a small orange-yellow dragon arrived, followed by a small, obviously gold dragon. He would have even passed off the first dragon for a gold, had she not been accompanied by a man. A man? On a queen? Or was that really one of those broken dragons? The arrival of a second man-ridden topaz corrected him; they were the mutants. This needed fixing.
J'degar grinned, no longer caring if he appeared friendly or not, as Ar'rex began doing his duty: being a proper Weyrleader. "Sir!" He replied as Ar'rex called on him, standing and saluting properly; something he noticed none of the Trelis riders had bothered doing. "If it would please the Weyrleader, I would like to begin by sitting in on Weyrling lessons. If the behaviour of the graduated riders are any proof, I only fear for the upcoming generations." The former Weyrleader would come in time, when a proper opportunity. My King, Syphraelth contacted Sithorath, We will do as you command. The brown and his rider had already sworn their oaths to the Weyrleader, but it never hurt to reiterate. Besides, they couldn't be faulted for acting on the Weyrleader's orders now could they?

"Watch yourself J'degar." Samara whispered fiercely at him. "You know better than to try to put me in a woman's place." She gave him a look, hand placed only where it could be considered somewhat suspicious... This was a place where she had a hidden dagger. She was covered in them. The only one who was going to be able to tell her what to do was the Weyrleader. She looked to Gl'wein. He, at least, she liked. Though she was unwilling to admit how much. Amiith shuffled a soft growl shuffling slightly, his muscles flexing beneath tiger-striped hide as he was quite irritated with this rider. He thought he could mess with his? Bring her down. Hmph! She was better than he any day! No man could do what she does! Samara was a little uncertain as to what to think of Gl'wein now that they had... had a moment. And she was very willing to have another such moment if he wanted to or was willing... She shook the thoughts off. They weren't appropriate for the moment. She sized up the new comers. Where were their other bronzes and browns. This was their new Weyrleader... Oh how the Southeners were going to make themselves unwelcome... It was just a matter of time. Soon everyone in this Weyr would want to kill them. Oh... she would make her place work for her though. She wasn't going back to Southern. And if she didn't have someone stay with her... then it would be time to make new friends. It was anyways. She wasn't entirely sure why they decided to bring her. She had fewer interests in what they did. She didn't have the same goals. That much was obvious. She looked at her Weyrleader. She would be keeping an eye on him... When she wasn't training the next generation. ---- Iirla sighed. She supposed it was time to start being a dignitary... but she didn't want to. So she wouldn't. Iz... Tell Kayath to tell J'dol that we should come up with our own plan. These men are not going to respect or admire any of us. It is time we found a way to give them reason. Izanycorth nodded, her eyes whirling read for a moment as she relayed the message to Kayath. The Weyrking... Hrmph. A Brown is nothing compared to a Garnet... or a Bronze. Thormyth, dear, when you are full grown and bigger than this brown, would you do me the great favor of tearing him apart. He is too smug and he and his are giving orders that are going to harm our Weyr. I also... really want to see him bleed. He wasn't even there and she was speaking to him covertly and to him alone. Yes... She did not want to risk this brown catching her in her flight. KelathBrotherMine... ThormythFriendMine... BraymothBrotherMine... KayathFriendMine... Chahaturth... We will show respect. We will give them what they want. But when the time comes... we will push back. It was an irritated suggestion that was at once an order.... Though she was a gold... she was young, but she was not really trying. I fear what they will try to do to us... especially the sub-queens Loraketh... she share quietly with the gold that she looked up to. She wished her mother had remained for her to speak to and learn from... What was Maeleth really like....?

Gormyth and G’lwein came from between a bit behind the others, just in time to see J’degar and Samara’s little interaction. G’lwein smiled and slid from Gormyth’s shoulders, landing lightly on his feet and strolling quite carelessly between them. He took the hand resting over the place he had seen at least one dagger hidden the night before. Raising it to his lips, he kept the boyish smile unable to really feel bad at all this morning. His plan to keep out of the negative light of keeping Loraketh and Iinali in southern had gone off without a hitch. Ar’rex had been humiliated and turned away from his prize’s bedchambers in favor of her old mate, and he had a certain bounce in his step this morning thanks to this little woman.
“Come come my sweet. You ARE a woman after all. It’s time for a brand new start.” His voice lowered for her ears alone.
“Trelis isn’t like southern. Here the women are much stronger and more a part of everything than they were back home. You’ll like it here, beauty.”
His smile took on more meaning, meant just for her. For some reason, he wanted to be charming this morning. Especially after last night… His voice raised a bit higher for J’degar’s benefit. His friend was usually that male elitist type on the best of days and trelis’s…. non-traditional atmosphere had to be grating on the man’s nerves.
“And don’t mind J’degar. He’s just being uptight and grumpy as usual.” He clapped his friend good-naturedly on the shoulder as he studied the scene before him. It was prettier than Southern, that was for sure. Lovely he had to admit. He wasn’t as purification bound as J’degar was and rolled his eyes when the man went over and bowed, once again swearing his allegiance to little ar’rex and his. Something he had yet to do, and something it would take all the queens’ and bronzes’ wills to force him and his dragon to do. Gormyth shared a laugh with Samara’s brown as he remarked on the new colors. Lovely Queens and subqueens to be sure.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- D'rian frowned at Kelath, rolling the sleeves of his crisp white lace up shirt back down as the bronze sighed heavily, getting to his feet and nearly knocking over the oil bucket in the process.
"What's wrong Kelath?"
Kelath looked at him and flicked his wings. They're returning and will be here shortly mine. From what izanycorth has been saying, things went the way we feared. A southern rider now holds the position of king. And he's... a Brown. They should all die for what they did. A trick on our QUEEN!
Kelath's roar of defiant rage echoed through the halls, corridors, and out the landing. Herd beasts jumped and ran before they realized there would not be a dragon descending on them from the sound.
D'rian's expression darkened. That was all the weyr needed. Stallorth was no longer king... No clue how T'rian was fairing with Iinali... Or how Iinali or Loraketh was taking it. He would not bend to a brown rider who had stooped to treachery and trickery to become such. He didnt know many in Trelis who would. These pieces of scum would learn, and learn quickly.
"Come on before your garnet brothers get there and do something stupid." D'rian, as usual, looked almost perfect as far as he thought. Dark hide pants and the lace up white shirt with his hair in the kind of sleepy disarray his female friends said they liked on him. He had to force himself and kelath to stay calm or at least give that illusion when he climbed onto his back and they made their way to the weyrbowl. Shigure was so livid at the events that had transpired, the little flit refused to even leave the room with them. He seemed to want to do nothing but sulk lately.
The bronze pair were still seeming to give off tense dark energy when they reached the weyrbowl. Kelath kneeling to make it easier for D'rian to slide to the ground. To their suprise and delight, Stallorth stood next to his queen looking for all the world like the king they knew him to be. Then there were the browns... Kelath's rumble ran deep sending a chill up D'rian's spine with the murderous intent that he felt bubbling up in his young bronze.
"Easy there Kelath mine. We will bide our time and see what these southerners do. We will not submit, but will treat them with the respect due any senior rider. Show them how strong Trelis is." Kelath's eyes flashed red and his muscles tensed, but he calmed himself long enough to keep himself under check as they walked tall and proud to Iinali,T'rian, Stallorth, and Loraketh. The bronze made it a point to completely ignore the southern riders and their dragons, even the new 'King'
"It warms our hearts to have you back among us Loraketh Queen and Stallorth...King, and yours with you." D'rian looked defiantly to the brown who stood close to loraketh, with the man kneeling before him. Let him hear the defiance and the pride of Trelis. Let them all hear the ferocity building inside them both at the things they had done. He had faith loraketh would make the brown's pay, and if she didnt.... He would. With a last murderous thought at the browns, he like his dragon, turned his attention to the gold and bronze pairs. "Welcome back my lady, my lord. We're glad to have you home..." With a gentle pat to Kelath's shoulder, the pair moved back to stand beside Izanycorth and Iirla. He offered the goldrider a smile of encouragement and Kelath crooned to his sisters and kayath.
IzanycorthSisterQueenMine, Kayath and Chahaturth... They.... his eyes flashed the deep crimson of bloodlust toward the large brown dragon beside loraketh. They will pay.

T'rian nodded to each of the weyrlings as they started to show. Then he turned his attention to his friends. One in particular caught his attention. He sighed as he watched S'val. Things were not going to be very pleasant around the Weyr until the Southern riders left. Though, he truly doubted they would leave without a fight. He made a mental note to have a "pleasant" chat with the other TRUE Trelis riders. Riders he knew he could trust. T'rian quickly spun around when he heard someone talking to him. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw it was the young bronze weyrling from Maelath's last clutch at Trelis. It is good to be back young D'rian and Kelath. He smiled proudly at the young pair as he spoke. It made him feel happy to know that he was still thought of as the leader of Trelis, at least by a few people anyways. He didn't feel so bad now about wishing harm to the new Weyrleader. Stallorth nodded his head politely to the young golden queen when she addressed him. It was very nice to be back among familiar dragons. To be back in a place he actually felt welcome. Greetings young ones. He crooned softly at the weyrlings that came to greet their mother. He was happy to see them all doing well, and wondered how long their happiness was to last now that these intruders were here. He had to keep himself calm, after all, he was no longer the king of the Weyr. Stallorth almost jumped when he heard someone call him king. He looked around and saw the young bronze and nodded his head. Yes, it is nice to be back. Even though I am no longer king Kelath. So is the way of Weyr leadership. His voice sounded as it usually did, but there was a very small trace of sadness in his words as he spoke of no longer being king. He was happy to have someone still believe in him though, and it really did help his pride. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Talvi lightly jumped from Frenath's back when the green landed in their own Weyrbowl. She lovingly patted the female's leg and started to turn around when she felt someone's arm going around her waist. She looked up and smiled happily at A'vin. I'm fine A'vin. So is Nath, and you shouldn't worry so much. It's over now, and we're safely back home. She giggled as she spoke, and gently hit his chest. He really did worry too much some times. Frenath shook her green hide, and walked over to where Vinerath was. You seem very unhappy with me and Mine Vinerath. She spoke politely to the larger brown. She was curious as to why he seemed so upset with them. After all, she hadn't meant to interrupt Loraketh's flight, and upset him. She was just doing what she was told. She had thought that he might be happy that His' mate had been there for him, but she had been proven wrong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ D'tri smiled and waved at the other weyrlings as they started to show up. He really did hope that Iirla didn't hate him just because her dragon hated Chahaturth. He shook his head, now was not the time to be thinking of such things. He had to pay attention. Especially now that there were people here he knew he couldn't trust. He wouldn't have trusted them even if they had played fair. So no matter what they did, he would remain suspicious of them. Chahaturth crooned smugly at her sister and Kayath when they arrived. She had beaten them once again, and she took quite a bit of satisfaction out of that fact. Then she heard her sisters words, and shook her head. Whey should she respect someone who has shown absolutely no respect for their Weyr? Take it easy Chaha. D'tri's stern voice snapped the young topaz out of her internal ranting, and she sighed. He was right, she had to stay calm. Of course Sister. Question is, when will we push? I do not know about the rest of you, but I feel they all deserve to be torn limb from limb and thrown off the highest cliff on Pern. Chahaturth kept her murderous words between her siblings and Kayath. She knew she would be in a ton of trouble if anyone else had heard the murderous tone her voice had taken as she spoke of tearing the Southern dragons and riders limb from limb. D'tri smiled and quietly dismissed himself as he walked over to where Iirla and the others were. Greetings everyone. I don't mean to interrupt, but I propose a little late night meeting of the minds, what do you all say? He made sure to let everyone hear him greet the other weyrlings, but kept the rest of his words between him, and the others. He didn't want the Southerners hearing about what he had planned for them. Well, if they agreed that was.

Inali wasn't having any of this! At Ar'rex's indiscretion for her own Weyrmate's affections, she had to fight not to hit the older man. "How dare you!" She hissed the words, echoed by her Gold. "Mind your place brownrider!" She emphasized the actual rank of the man and his bonded, narrowing her eyes. "I am Weyrwoman here. You may deal with the affairs of technicalities, but these are my people. This is my Weyrmate, and this is my home. Unless you want to call a council here to revoke your position, I suggest you mind your manners when talking to a Queen's rider."
Her black hair whipped behind her as the wind picked up from Loraketh's wings beating against the earth. Her trumpet stopped Hers from saying anything else. You have upset the baby. Her voice was dangerously low as she snapped her head from Ar'rex and his brown to where a auburn haired greenrider was coming out with a crying child. A drudge followed with the other half of the twin pair, though Talian as normal was quiet. "Yeah, if you need any sharding proof that they belong to each other and not your dirty hands, I suggest you open your eyes and look."
Panille handed Inoria to her mother who cuddled the girl to her chest, her eyes turning from ice to soft pools as her gaze looked at her child. "See, mother, father, babies." Pan put a hand on her hip, smirking as Iliath landed nearby her Queen and snapped her jaws at the new "King." Oh, a new toy to play with? Well then, you'll be fun to pace through the hoops. Inoria laughed her child-like sound at the green's thoughts, making the green croon lovingly. "We're a family Ar'rex, the entire Weyr. You are lucky to be here. If Loraketh hadn't been...in a mood from Southern's intentions, then she would have chosen a Trelis male. Of this I am certain."
Turning to the drudges and riders waiting around the outskirts of the Bowl, Inali held her head high and addressed them. "T'rian and I are home. S'val is here, our young Queenlet is growing, and our lovely Sub-Queens are getting closer to graduating by the day. We might have a change of....plans, but we are still Trelis Weyr. Go about your day, to day activities. Wingleaders, Sub-riders, Junior Werywoman Iirla, stay here so we may discuss the change of things with the new Weyrleader and temporary Junior Weyrleader."
Loraketh crooned at Hers and echoed her command to the dragons that were not needed. You have a plan? Inali smirked and shouldered Inoria carefully while petting Talian's head. Don't I always?

Ar’rex, ignoring the others for now, gave his full attention to his Wingthird as the man informed him of how he would begin to remold this wayward Weyr. He nodded as the other man spoke about his plans and, out of respect and courtesy, returned the offered salute. Good, he though. Excellent. Now they could finally start putting things back on track. He knew he brought J’degar along for a reason. “Very good. The Weyrling lessons are an excellent place to start. I shall leave it in your capable hands.” He opened his mouth as if to add something else when Inali picked that exact moment to pip up and add her two marks once again.
Ar’rex sighed dramatically, almost as if he was trying to work her up, though the way she spat the actual rank of himself and his bonded caused his eyes to darken. “Oh my manners are perfectly in check Weyrwoman Inali. I think that if you’d take a closer look you’ll see, in fact, that it’s ‘your people’ who need the attitude adjustment.” His blue eyes snapped to S’val and he gestured loosely in the mans direction as he spoke, as if pointing out his prime subject.
The Southern man spared half a glance at the arrival of the twins and swallowed the groan at the womans defending argument. He swallowed his next comment however once he got a good look at who in fact was brining the screaming child to her mother. Ar’rex smirked, his mind instantly swirling with an array of twisted comments and suggestions he could mention as he gave the greenrider a slow once over. Really, if he had stared any longer you could have bet a whistle would have been flying her way. Oh and she was feisty too! “Would you prefer it if my ‘dirty hands’ were all yours then? That can be arranged…” A devilish smirk played with his features while Sithorath growled at the womans green. He might not be big on being King but he wasn’t going to tolerate much of this for very long.
Oh but then Inali went off on another tangent. Faranath, did the woman ever stop talking? Folding his arms across his chest he half listened to her next order but remained silent for the time being. If they were going to discuss things then so be it. Maybe now they could finally get some order in here.

S’val glowered at the new Weyrleader, visibly clenching his jaw as the man spoke. When Ar’rex shot a look his way though, it took every once of self restrain he possessed not to wipe that smug smirk off the Southern mans face. Clearly still irritated, the former Junior Weyrleader hastily adjusted the black cloth that covered his left eye before moving to snatch his helmet from the ground and standing off to the side of Inali and T’rian.
Oh the self restraint was killing him. Even more so when he had to bite his tongue to keep from snapping at the brownrider when he tossed his little comment at the recent arrived WeyrlingMaster. Really, he should get a medal for not having killed the man yet.

To be honest Thormyth seemed almost pleased with the arrival of the new dragons. With so much anger and animosity flying through the air he was practically buzzing. Most likely he wouldn’t be so giddy once the newcomers tried to order him around, tried to steal the attention that was rightfully his, or he met the one who hated the new colors. For now though, he was quite pleased with it all and eagerly watched the on-goings from off to the side.
Izanycorth’s sudden private statement to him however, snapped him out of his moment of bliss and drew a low hiss from parted jaws. Vl’kan turned his attention from the rest of those gathered and eyed his crimson companion. I believe our young Queen is attempting to order me around, Vl’kanMine. I warned her once, now may I remind her permanently? The young Istan swatted the dragonets snout as if to scold him and received a click of his jaws in retaliation. “We don’t harm the Queens, Thor. I told you that. Ignore her if you must but you’re not allowed to touch her hide.”
A low growl rumbled in his chest at the response he received. He didn’t like being told ’no’ from anyone, not even His. I will consider it Izanycorth. If by the time I have grown and he still stands in the way, my
way, then his blood will stain the Sands. Thormyth responded to the young gold privately as his red streaked gaze swam through the crowd of dragons and Riders till finally settling on her. After all there was no need to inform His of such a plan at this moment. No, his chosen partner wasn’t at that stage to accept it yet.

Izanycorth, if she were ever honest, was rather irritated with Thormyth at the moment. Certainly he had told her not to order him around. Certainly she attempted not to. She meant it as a personal request. She would not hesitate to contend with the Garnet if it came to that. But... for as long as it lasted, she would like to have him as an ally. Perhaps more than that. She rather liked him. Of course, there was also Kelath to consider. And Braymoth. But... they treated her more like the queen she was supposed to be, which was pleasant enough. The only one thrilling to be around was Thormyth because he was willing to hiss at her. Thormyth, you know the reason I like you is because you are the only one who actually is smart enough to think for himself and not roll over so easily. You even hissed at me. The small croon was pleasant. I don't know if you're a rival or a friend sometimes. But... Consider this a personal request if you would? I do not wish to order you around. What would be the fun in that? Unless you really wanted a fight. Her word were devious, low, and somewhat flirtatious... if a bit savage at the same time. Iirla smiled at D'rian as he came to stand next to her. "You're sounding more like the leader Kelath knew you could be from the beginning every day. Kelath. You are a smart dragon... Try to be the leader you are even now... Please. As much for me and Iz as for our Weyr...?" Her words were still soft even as she shifted a bit on her feet, feeling rather nervous. Izanycorth on the other hand stood firm and resolute, her defiance obvious in her stance as she looked at the big brown male who had dared to even chase their Sr. Queen and dared even more to catch her. He would not have such luck again. No, oh no he wouldn't! And he had replaced S'val and Solarith! Hmph! How could he! That was not right at all! She hissed at the brown, stamping her foot slightly, images of him bleeding green ichor from a bite wound on his leg and a broken wing. That idea brought a rumble of pleasure. Iirla winced. Oh she hated that. She really did. Her dragoness was just getting worse, it seemed to her. She didn't know how to fix it and she was afraid to say anything to get help... Nothing was wrong with Iz. Or that was what she kept telling herself. Izanycorth turned her attention to Chahaturth. For once, she was not angry with the Topaz or upset with her... That was something that Iirla found very encouraging. She would grow out of it. She was sure. As do I sister. As do I. Right now. But we are yet young. Too young for any one of us... but perhaps together. They will KelathDearBrotherMine. They will. Her words to her siblings were calm. Calmer than she felt. They were cold. Serious. And decidedly... full of a certain danger. Iirla frowned at the Weyrleader. "Many of us here would like to teach you what being appropriate in our Weyr is like. We are family. We all are, though we are not all related by blood." Izanycorth let loose a hiss to emphasize this, her tail lashing behind her once, angrily, her eyes streaked with red. This newcomer dared to try to tell Trelis how it should run and what it should do! Iirla's attention moved to Inali. "Of course, Werywoman," she stayed where she was and watched the others with a quiet intensity. "I will talk to you later, D'rian... Kelath?" she said to them before they could turn to leave them... if, indeed, they would. ------ This was becoming so pointless. She smiled softly, almost devilishly at Gl'wein. "You're certain of that, Gl'wein," she whispered to him softly, becoming entirely a woman and not the tom-boy she usually was then, blushing when he kissed her hand, and watching him with a soft interest that could only be explained by the fact that he meant something to her. "I trust you, Gl'wein... And if you say that he's alwasy like that, I suppose I'll take you at your word..." She smiled and gently slipped her hand back into his for the moment, for the most part feigning detachment from the situation, though she was anything but. She had to be honest, she didn't know what side to take. It was, indeed, wrong of them in some part... but for what they could improve... that was not wrong. She frowned. "I suppose that means myself as well..." She looked at Ar'rex and the Weyrwoman. "I suppose I should make myself useful, then." She looked back at Gl'wein and leaned up to gently kissed him before turning to move back to her dragon and off to the Candidate barracks where, hopefully, she would find the other Candidate Master and some of her knew charges. ------------ A'vin was doing his best to ignore the commotion around him and focus on Talvi. "That I am glad of, dearest one... but... I can't help but worry. Especially with Vinerath already so upset with all of us over being forced to leave the Flight. Although... He'll get over it. He loves Frenath.... He just has a bruised ego." He sighed adn shook his head, turning back to Ar'rex. "You'd do better to watch your tongue! Are you a boy or a man!" He still had an arm wrapped around his werymate protectively. Vinerath gave a slight sniff. FrenathLoveMine... You are lucky that all Loraketh did was force me to leave her flight and did not attack you! I do not like that I was forced to leave! But more I do not like that you could have been hurt! He shook his head, his eyes whirling in colors of worry.

T'rian stared daggers at the new Weyrleader. Now is not the time my dear. We must tend to the twins. After all you know they've missed you. He completely ignored everyone and everything else except his children and his mate. After all, it seemed as though this new Weyrleader was doing a mighty fine job of destroying himself all on his own. So he didn't especially feel the need to help the man along any. That was something he actually relished. T'rian gently took the silent baby from the drudges arms and smiled happily down at the smiling baby. He made a mental note to ask Panille about whether or not the Weyr's healer has said anything about why Talian was so quiet. Oh well, he shook his head and freed himself of those thoughts. Just in time to see a very large surprise appear from out of the crowd. Something that he hadn't counted on. He shook his head in disbelief, and wondered if he was just seeing things. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Talvi shook her head and playfully swatted at her mates chest. I'm sure Frenath will get him back to his old self soon enough. You should have more confidence in her feminine charm. There was a hidden message in those words for the brown rider. Then she heard him yell at the new Weyrleader and turned to see what was going on. She had completely tuned everything out except for A'vin, and wondered what all had happened while she was spacing out. Frenath snorted at the larger brown dragon, and started rumbling with very, VERY loud draconic laughter. Please Vinerath, you know I would never let an angry queen get close enough to kill me. That and Loraketh is my friend. Friends don't kill each other no matter how much they might be mad at each other. She spoke gently to Vinerath, and nuzzled his neck lovingly. She crooned sweetly to him, hoping that he would calm down. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chahaturth hissed loudly at the man that claimed to be their Weyrleader. She didn't care if he got mad at her or not. He had no right to talk to her Weyrwoman that way! If only she were older, and larger, she wouldn't be standing idly by, instead she'd be tearing into that over-grown brown wherry, and relishing every last second of it. Her quickly swirling gaze was a deep red as she glared daggers at the male and his rider. Her tail flicked dangerously back and forth. My dear Braymoth. Sweet, murderous Braymoth. Won't you come protect your darling sister my dear king? Chahaturth's words were sweet, seductive honey as she spoke to her garnet brother. Then she reached out for her other clutch brothers, the ones that hadn't shown themselves just yet. Please come protect your sisters my dear brothers. She crooned sweetly to them, and waited patiently for them to answer her call. D'tri straightened, and stood as tall as he could when he felt, and heard his dragon's hiss. There was no way he was going to back down to this...this...THING that called himself their Weyrleader. He had no respect for their Weyrwoman, and that was something the young rider couldn't stand. He wasn't sure if now would be the best time to act, but he would stand by Chahaturth's decision to show the man and his dragon they weren't welcomed here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Talian gazed around her excitedly as the drudge carried her somewhere. If she were able to she would be laughing happily at all the new sounds she could hear. Then she saw her mom and her dad. She reached out happily when her father picked her up out of the drudges arms, and wondered why she heard so many upset voices. Then she looked over at her sister and mother, hopping that one of them would be able to answer her curiousness. After all, someone needed too. Talian reached out to the nearest firelizard she could, and sent the poor creature an image of food. After all, it had been quite some time since the young child had eaten, and she didn't take too kindly to being kept waiting for her meals. No, she would pester every single creature in this Weyr if she wasn't satisfied soon, even her own mother's firelizard, and from their last encounter, she wasn't sure the poor creature would like that very much. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rayas had been watching quietly from the shadows as everything took place. Well from what he could see they weren't very welcome here. He shook his head, and made a quick decision. He wasn't sure what the out come would be, but he decided to go stand beside his father, and hopped that things would calm down a little now that the Weyrwoman had told everyone to go about their every day lives, and business. He took a deep breath to steady himself, then made his move. Rayas walked with more confidence then he was actually feeling. He saluted his father when he reached him, and then he spoke. Greetings father, and greetings to you as well Sithorath. The young man then stood next to his father. He looked down at the man, and wondered if he would be upset with him for making this kind of appearance. Oh well, he would find out soon enough what kind of reaction his appearance would cause among those of Trelis Weyr.
