Name: Amon
Pronunciation: A - mon
Age: 22 Turns
Season Born in: Spring
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance: {6'2" 174lbs.}
Amon is six-foot, five inches tall and weighs one hundred and seventy-four pounds. He is a tall man with a medium build. He is strong, but you wouldn't be able to tell just by looking at him, after all, he doesn't flaunt his looks. He has shaggy, chin-length, black hair that looks really untamable. Actually that’s how he makes his hair look. It only takes a couple minutes to make it look the way it does, and he does it because he doesn't like it when he wakes up, and his hair is flat.
Amon usually wears clothing that has muted, or dull colors. He does this because he doesn't like to stand out, and feels that if he wears bright colors, that he will be more noticeable, and that’s something he doesn't want. He usually wears extremely tough leather clothing. This includes his shirts, pants and even his boots. He works too hard for normal, cloth, clothing. Though he does keep some really nice dress clothes stored away for special occasions.
Amon’s dress clothes consist of a really nice leather jacket, a dark brown cloth shirt, nice dark leather pants, and dark leather boots. It is very rare for anyone to see him wearing these clothes though, and normally only wears them during certain celebrations. These celebrations include hatchings and hatching feasts, the birth of a relative, or a friend’s child. He keeps them hidden in a very large trunk that he keeps locked at all times.
Personality: Positives: Hard working, calm, really observant, friendly
Negatives: Really observant, persistent, stubborn
Amon is a very hard working individual, which makes him a pretty useful. He will usually do more than his own fair share of work if he is asked to. Though, when it comes to cooking…its better off left to someone else, someone that knows what they’re doing. If all the cooking was left up to him, the Weyr would starve. Oh, and it isn't a good idea to put him in charge of cleaning either. He always tries his hardest, but he just doesn't have the skills necessary to cook for others, or keep things neat and organized.
Amon is a very calm person, and doesn't like getting upset. He also does not like arguments, but this hard working man won’t hesitate to stand up for what he believes in. He’s also very stubborn and persistent, not exactly the best combination in the world. He might not like to argue, but he will stand his ground until it falls out from beneath him. There aren't many people that can avoid this, and the only ones that do are those bonded to golds.
Amon is a very friendly person, and is also really observant. There isn't really all that much that gets past him…though…he doesn’t exactly have the best sense of humor. He is a lot easier to get along with than you might think. He does have a few issues, as stated earlier, but he does his best to be a nice guy, and do what’s right. He is especially good with children, and will give the little ones candies and treats that they probably shouldn't have. So you might want to keep a close eye on him when he’s with kids.

History: Amon’s father, Alton, had been a miner for as long as he could remember. Alton’s father had also been a miner, and so has every male on his side of the family for as long as they can remember. He’s always been a hardworking man with a strong sense of pride, and duty. His family always came first, and then his work. That’s probably why he didn't go to many of the gathers, or social events around the village or Weyr either. He had never been a very social man. That is…until he met Amon’s mother, Nemtis.
Nemtis’ family had been drudges in the Weyr for about as many generations as Alton’s family has been miners. Now she’s quite the opposite of Amon’s father. She is very laid back, and friendly woman. She was very well liked among those in the Weyr that knew her, and were quite surprised when they heard that she had fallen in love with such a strict man such as Alton. Though, who could ever really explain how love works? Either way, the two of them quickly fell in love, and started a family together.
Not long after Alton and Nemtis moved to the little village outside of Trelis together, their first child was born. It was a little boy they had decided to call Altis. Now he was a lot like his father, so it should come to no surprise that he took after his father, and became a miner as well. Six turns after Altis was born, Nemtis blessed them with yet another baby, and again it was a baby boy. They decided to call this one Nletis. He was sort of the black sheep of the family, and preferred to spend all his time with animals. This is why he now works in Trelis as one of the primary care takers for their herd-beasts.
Five turns after that another child entered the world as Alton and Nemtis’ third child. This time it was a little girl, a little girl that took after her mother. The little girl’s name was Ametis, and like her mother she was a sweet and friendly child that got along with literally everyone. You could be the meanest person on all of Pern, but one look at that sweet little girl would melt your heart. That might be because of the fact that she was born with only one arm. Her mother had had complications with birth, so they had to amputate it.
You wouldn't know it by watching her though. She was so outgoing and energetic that there had been times when Nemtis thought the child might explode because of her energy. It didn't take Ametis long to find the man of her dreams, and now she has a family of her own with two little boys of her own, and another one on the way. How she manages all those children is a miracle, but it helps that their father helps her with a lot of the harder work. So I guess it isn't so surprising that they have so many.
Eight turns after Ametis was born, Naltos, the second youngest boy of the family, was born. He too was a lot like their father, but he was much, much sweeter. He too became a miner, though…he’s had a little more luck with the ladies than either of their older brothers. He’s had more than a few girls chase after him, so it has surprised his family that he’s stayed single as long as he has, especially with the amount of beautiful women chasing after him. His father, to this day, argues with him about settling down, and starting a family of his own.
Five turns after Naltos was born, Amon came into this world. He seemed to be a perfect mix of his parents. Even as a young child he proved to be hard working, yet very friendly. He always did his best, and worked his hardest for his family. Even though he was the youngest of the family, the love of his parents was spread equally between all five of their children. Though, each one of them had their favorites of course. For Alton it was his first born son, Altis. And for Nemtis, it was their only daughter, Ametis.
Amon was eighteen when his life was drastically changed. Some would argue that it had changed for the worse, others would say that he is better of the way he is now. But for him, it really hasn't changed as much as some might think. His parents and siblings had taken him to Trelis Weyr for his birthday during the spring gather. There had been a wher clutch warming for a few weeks at that time, and as soon as the sun had set, the hatching had begun, and so his family took him to see his first ever wher hatching.
They had gotten to the hatching a little late, and were still trying to find a place to sit when the first egg hatched. It was a large bronze, and from what they had heard from the other people at the hatching, that was a good sign. Amon had just started to climb his way into the stands when a bunch of noises could be heard coming from where the mother’s kept their eggs. No one knew what was going on, and everyone stared in amazed curiosity as they waited to find out what was going on in the darkest part of the hatching sands.
No one had to wait very long to find out though. One of the eggs had hatched and the hatchling that had emerged from the shell had caused quite a commotion as he tried to find his way out of the caves so he could find His. Amon climbed back down from the stands, and watched with wide eyes as the very large brown wher hatchling looked around for the human that would be its handler. A roar could be heard coming from the mother, and you could see that the large brown was scared. He jumped and started running. He wasn't paying attention to where he had been going, and ran right into Amon.
Amonsk’s Amon please help! I not mean to cause trouble! The fear in the hatchling’s voice had the young man wrapping his arms around him protectively. They were quickly led off the sands to where the other wherlings were. Amon introduced himself and his wher to the others and asked why they had been taken off to the side. It was obvious he didn't know what to do, and thankfully a few of the others took pity on him, and taught him what he was supposed to do now that he had impressed a hatchling.
Amon’s father wasn't happy with the fact that his youngest son would be staying in the Weyr instead of following his footsteps and becoming a miner. His mother on the hand couldn't have been happier for him. She had seen many other people impress, and from what she had been told about it, it was an amazing thing. His brothers and sister were happy for him, and told him to write them often about what his life would be like as a wher handler. That was a promise he has kept to this day, and something he didn't plan on changing any time soon.
Amon and Amonsk were soon doing chores, and attending lessons as full-fledged wherlings. The feeling of having someone constantly in your head took a while to get used to, but soon enough the young man was glad to have the wher with him. They were practically inseparable, and went everywhere together. They soon started taking over chores for some of the other candidates that had more than one, and made many friends this way. Soon more than one wherling came to the pair for some help, or just to have someone to talk to.
Amon felt like time had flown by during their training, because as soon as they graduated and joined a pack, the two of them were joining in female runs. They hadn't caught many, and the ones that they did catch were all greens. Neither of the males cared about that thought there were more than a few rumors flying around about the brown pair. They didn't pay much attention to them, but after a while it did become annoying. Soon enough everyone got bored with the rumors about them, and went back to making things up about more interesting people. Now they live their lives as part of the wherhold, and do their best every day to make sure they are an asset to the Weyr.

Name: Amonsk

Age: 4 Turns
Type: Wher
Rank: Brown
Size: 6ft.
Color Codes: Base:

E9C2A6 Appearance: Amonsk is a very large brown, he is actually about as large as a brown wher can get. He is well proportioned, from his brown head to the tip of his brown tail. He keeps his small wings tucked closely to his side at all times, and feels that they would just ge tin his way if he ever opened them. His tail drags lazily on the ground behind him when he walks, but he will neatly wrap it around either his own paws, or his handler's legs whenever he sits.
Amonsk is a terra cota redish brown in color, with orange and gray brown colors that go around him in bands. These bands go around his neck, his chest, the top of his hind legs, and around his tail. He also has pale brown polka-dots on his back and his wings. His paws are the same color has his polka dots also. In all he looks pretty strange, but in no way will he ever blend into a crowd. Well, unless it was a crowd of like colored whers, which will never happen right?
Personality: Amonsk is as large as a brown can get really, and he is glad for his size. His large size means he can help His do more hard work, and that’s something the both of them enjoy quite thoroughly. He is a very gentle wher, and enjoys spending time with others, especially little ones. He doesn’t pay that much attention to what others say about him, because the only person’s opinion that matters to him is his handlers, and he makes that quite clear whenever anyone upsets the man. So be careful of what you say.
Amonsk is extremely protective of his handler, and his Weyr. He would do anything to keep them safe, and out of harm’s way. That is why his handler and himself work so hard for the wherhold every day. Despite the fact that he is so protective of his handler and his Weyr, he is a very gentle creature. He is probably even more playful than most would think, and it surprises a lot of people to see this large brown chasing balls or chasing sticks for the amusement it provides his handler and some of the young ones around the Weyr.
Mind-voice: Work now yes?Amonsk's voice is extremely deep, and definately male. It is strong and slighlty husky sounding, but in all it is very gentle and soft on one's mind. It's like a very large fluffy pillow that you want to curl up around. His voice is always full of emotion, and he doesn't try to hide what he is feeling from those the deems worthy to talk to.
