K'lin helped Daedra up, and nodded when she said she would be ok. He walked beside Daedra as they made their way out of the water. Water was dripping from his hair, and into his face. He whipped a hand through his spiky brown hair, which was now lying flat against his head. Though, when he wiped his hand through it, water sprayed in every direction, and made the hair stand back up. Bearith crooned softly to His, and hopped he wasn't too mad at him.
Bearith had only been trying to help His, and had never intended to hurt Mrith's. K'lin sighed and looked back at his dragon. I guess it could have been worse. He mused out loud, not really paying attention. Though, it was true. It could always be worse, that was his motto. Bearith crooned again, at least His wasn't too mad at him. Though, he had a feeling that he was going to get yelled at as soon as the two of them were alone. That was something he wasn't looking forward to.
I was trying to do the same Mrith. I had never intended for anyone to get hurt, but I guess it sort of worked. He was refering to the fact that now the two of them were at least talking freely with each other. Well, at least that's what His was doing. He shifted his wings, and then resettled himself into a more comfortable position. He turned his swirling gaze to the green. At least they had semi completed what they had set out to do.

It did.... In a way. Ooohhh... I'm so sorry that one of ours got hurt! She crooned plaintively and shifted her wings, watching hers as she went with the male, seemingly forgetting about the current situation. I think... it may have really worked... She looked at him, her eyes whirling slightly with distress, but there was a glint of satisfaction.
She coughed slightly before answering. "Things could always be worse." She sighed. "Sometimes... you just have to realize that..."
Daedra wasn't an optimist... or pessimist for that matter. She was more of a... Realist, perhaps? She sighed, wrapping her arms around herself as she sat there, her eyes on the water. She looked at Bearith. "He is a lovely blue, K'lin." Her eyes traced over the blue. His color was lovely and his marking was so... so... amazing and beautiful all at once, thoug ha broken heart was always somethiung painful.

K'lin sighed and grabbed his riding shirt. He walked back over to Daedra, and draped the warm garment over the woman's shoulder. I know it's not much, but it should help warm you up, and dry you off. K'lin sat down next to Daedra as he spoke. He nodded his head at the woman's words. He had realized that a long time ago. He didn't like thinking about that though, and pushed those thoughts from his mind. He looked over at his dragon, and gave the blue a warm smile.
It is alright, I think both of them will be ok Mrith. Bearith crooned comfortingly to the green. He knew that she was worried about Her's, but it seemed like His was going to take care of the other rider. He nodded his large blue head, and rumbled slightly. It was strange how a bad situation could bring two people together. Don't misunderstand me, but maybe we should have tried this before. His rumble got louder, and his eyes swirled faster with amusement as he spoke.
Thank you Daedra. Mrith is a very beautiful green. He looked over at the green dragoness as he spoke. He traced over the brindle markings on the female's neck, and started to feel a little dizzy. He shook his head a little to try to make the dizzy feeling go away. He sighed, and then looked at his own dragon. His eyes rested on the male's single marking. He had had plenty of experience with heart breaks, and the last time had made him think that the marking was some sort of sign.

Daedra blinked slowly for a moment. She wasn't used to the kindness of men... unless it was her younger brothers. She felt warmth rush to her face and pulled the shirt up a little bit while, at the same time, ducking her head down so that her cheeks were somewhat covered by the edge of the shirt. "Thank you," she said, almost mumbling in her... what was it... she wasn't embarrassed... more like flattered.
I think you are right, Bearith... she crooned softly and watched them. They were a good pair. A very good pair. I hope they will come to see that... She still felt bad, and you could hear it in her tone, but she was comforted by Bearith's words and it did show.
She looked at them again... Bearith's was taking care of hers! She nearly purred. Yes! This was perfect. Light laughter, happy and amused escaped her. Of course, she knew that she was still probably going to be in trouble... or... maybe.
Daedra smiled. "Thanks." She was looking at Bearith. "His marking is lovely... but sad... A broken heart..." She looked at K'lin and, without thinking, a hand reached out and very gently pushed hair from his eyes. "It is a beautiful marking with a lot of meaning. But I hope that it doesn't mean the breaking of your heart, K'lin," she said, turning further red by her own words.
What was wrong with her? This was just... out there... But... She could feel Mrith at teh back of her mind and the tickle of the answer. She and K'lin... they had hardly noticed each other... but she... liked him at lesat....

K'lin smiled and nodded his head with Daedra thanked him. No need to thank me. His voice was warm and friendly as he spoke. It was nice to help others, and it also helped the woman's opinion of him. Well, he hoped so anyways. Well, at least it got her talking. All the other times he had seen her and green dragon, she had been quite anti-social. He raised his eye brows at the dragon's when one of them crooned. I wonder what their talking about. He wasn't really expecting a response, just thinking out loud.
Bearith nodded his large head at Mrith's words. I'm sure they will, just give it time. He laid his large blue head down on his front paws and watched the two riders closely. He rumbled when he heard his rider's words. I do believe this conversation is better left between the two of us. He wasn't sure how his rider would react if he knew that it had been his intentions to get them closer together.
K'lin nodded his head slowly, but the smile left his face anyways. He had had plenty of personal experience with that light blue marking. More than once he had even blamed the dragon for his rotten luck when it came to relationships. He had always apologized of course, but still. More than once he had thought that strange marking was a curse. He leaned into Daedra's touch, not really thinking about what he was doing. It felt nice to hear that someone agreed with him...well...sorta.
K'lin chuckled softly at the woman's words. Well, I could say that it's never been broken before, but then that would be a lie. His words were deep, yet unemotional. He could see the faces of all those other people that had broken his heart. They are in the past Mine, and need not remembered. The dragon's sweet voice was a comfort to the man, and he nodded. Bearith was right, he had a new life now, and being a dragon rider usually did mean more than one partner. So why did he let himself get hurt so many times?

Mrith rumbled with amusement. Oh... dragon business. she said cryptically, laying her head down on her paws. They were good together. They needed to be together. He would take care of her. She would love him. They would do things together. For each other. Bearith was good blue. He and his were good types. She liked them. Hers should like them too.
"Well, K'lin.... a part of that may be in finding someone who knows what it is to have your heart broken so many times... and doesn't wish it on anyone else... Who can love you." She didn't think about it as she left her hand there as he leaned in to her touch. "But... people like that are much harder to find sometimes." She herself sounded rather sad. Even after being a rider for so many turns... She still had this idea that... She needed one weyrmate. One who would be with her forever and always. She felt a pang as faces who had left her, many she had presumed to love, had left her and she had convinced herself that it was the way things were.
Mrith lifted her head and crooned softly, comfortingly. A fleeting smile crossed Daedra's face. She sighed and shook her head. It was better to talk about happier things... but she found herself at a loss for the moment.

K'lin raised an eye brow at the green dragon's words. Dragon' business huh? Yeah right, you two are over there plotting something evil admit it. He smiled playfully at the two dragons as he spoke, and he could have sworn he just saw Bearith stick his tongue out at him. Since he wasn't sure he had actually seen it, he kept his mouth shut. No use in arguing about something that might not have even happened. He sighed and shook his head in exhasperation.
K'lin listened quietly to Daedra's words, and contemplated them. She was right, but he couldn't think of anyone he knew of that was like that. He smiled when he realized that she hadn't taken away her hand, and wondered if she even realized it. Oh well, he was enjoying himself, so he wasn't going to say anything about it. I know what you mean Daedra, they can be very hard to find. His voice was quite, but it was still loud enough to hear what he had said.
Bearith shook his large blue wings, sending water in every direction around him. He rumbled loudly with laughter when His yelled at him for getting him wet again. I appologize, but I think it is time for me to eat. The large male's stomach was rumbling again, which meant it was supper time in the Weyr. He stood up, and let the warm water drip off his stomach. He crooned and gently nuzzled Mrith before starting for the door, after all, there was no reason to be rude now was there?
K'lin sighed and shook his head at his dragon. I swear you can set a clock by that stomach of your's! He affectionatly teased teh large male, but stood up anyways. Well, I guess that means it's supper time I hope I will see you again later Daedra. It was nice talking to you. He bowed respectfully to her, before walking over to his dragon, and punching the large male's leg. Though, it felt like little more than itch to the blue male as the two of them exited the baths together.
