Amiith hissed at those who hissed at him. Oh! He would follow her no matter how hard it got. Even to death. That thought sent a jolt of fear through his rider, but it was too hard to separate herself from her dragon. He flew down, following her as close as he could. He had some advantage over the bronzes and the few browns who were larger than he in this. It was easier for him to perform each movement that she made. However, he was still a brown. It was still difficult and it was trying his stamina to chase her. But he would chase her. She was worthy of every effort. He would not let these things make him drop out. He couldn't. Indeed... He would have to have his wings torn or be injured badly enough to force him to stop.
Samara looked at the Weyrleader with a frown, trying to ascertain exactly who he was, though her mind was far from clear. The snarl that escaped her was more her dragon than herself. It was a Flight! He was not the one choosing! And, if permitted, she would gladly show him that! The warrior woman stood taller, prouder, head lifted as her dragon tried all the harder to Impress the Queen. His queen. He fell with her and rose with her. Spiraled after her, all the while attempting to gain distance while remaining a respectful distance from her. HE wouldn't take her. After all. She was a Queen. She would choose. His hiss did not die away, however, as he snapped at another brown, biting into his hide as he attempted to do the same to him. NO! It would not happen! He released the other male. He was focused on the flight. He didn't wish to fight and squabble between the others. That was not the right thing to do. After all, it was hihgly disrespectful.
Her hide was glowing brighter that Rukbat and more beautiful too. She was the light in this world. And he was going to follow it. It was all that was true and beautiful now. It was all that was dangerous and vengeful and full of malice. It was all that he wanted. She was all that he wanted.
((Will post Vinerath next chance I get. And reply to Gold Thread for Larkie... Sorry that has been so long. x.x))

Oh she was quite angry about all this wasn't she? Syphraelth followed her ever wingstroke as she led the chase. The brown cocked his head lightly, taking note of the arrival of the dragons from Trelis. In the back of his mind, in the part where J'degar resided, he could feel confusion and wonder at how the Trelis dragons had known to come here, as the was no way Loraketh would have thought to do such a thing in her lust-filled haze. The dragon part of his mind didn't care in the least. They were competetors in the game of chase, and he simply had more to prove himself against, though he couldn't deny how pleased he was that they were also receiving growls from the queen.
Syphraelth let out a wordless shriek of his own as Loraketh suddenly dropped, her body coming ever so close to his own because of his position, and it was only the semi-rational throughts from his rider that kept him from reaching out and attempting to ensnare her. It was too early... the voice said, followed by thoughs of She'd rip you apart and She needs to exhaust herself! So, the grey-brown dragon kept his claws to himself and instead tucked his wings and dove after the beautiful golden arrow of a dragon. He anticipated her rising again, he had been in a few flights and the still semi-rational mind of his rider was helping him overcome the more primal instinct of blindly chasing. Thus, he was quick to come out of the dive, spreading his wings mere moments after she did, which resulted in him keeping his prefered place underneath her left side. As a middling brown, he was neither good nor bad at following some of her movements. He could keep up and perform the tricks better and faster than the larger browns and bronzes, but the smaller browns were better than he was.
She rose up, almost blinding him with her brilliance, but Syphraelth never once took his eyes off her, and he beat his wings to follow her upwards, keeping only enough distance to hopefully, hopefully allow him to break free of her if she turned on him. That wasn't a problem yet though, and he roared, rising to meet her talon to talon if he had to.
I follow, my Queen! He roared. He had a feeling constantly calling to her was a bad idea, she definately didn't look like she was in the mood for pretty words. it was a way to possibly stand out, so he took it. Who knows, maybe he would be able to ensnare her if she lunged at him.
So, the young Weyrleader had come, had he? J'degar smirked as he stormed into the room, demanding that they all leave. J'degar, not yet fully under the power of dragonlust, chuckled. "Well well well. I would have assumed the Weyrleader of all people would know proper flight ettiquete." He growled back, a taunting, playful tone to his otherwise draconic voice. He was older, wiser, and more experienced than this young man could possibly be, and Gar had no doubt in his mind that he could beat T'rian if it came to a knife fight. The fact Inali then moved away from him made this all the more sweet. She was one with ehr dragon now, and Gar wished to do the same and join Syphraelth completely in the sky. He could see flashes of the brown's sight now and again, and it was only his turns as a rider that helped him keep part of his human mind at all, though even he knew it wouldn't last much longer. The people in the room were already looking mroe dragon to him than before. The pieces were moving, time was ticking, and he needed to capture the queen to win.
Soheath hissed at Loraketh's reprimand, swerving away from one of the other dragons to make space, though his eyes still contained the red of rage. She may not wish it, but if it came to it,. Soheath would happily sink his teeth into another's flesh. He dove down after Loraketh, but broke the dive much sooner as his bulky body didn't handle sharp maneuvers as well as the lither dragons.
He followed her up again, flying in as straight a line as possible despite her twists and turns. He couldn't follow them no matter how much he wanted to, and he knew it was in his best interest to conserve strength, to outlast the others gathered here. It was hard work, keeping up with her. Loraketh's large wings made her able to move quickly despite her size and SOheath worried if he would be able to keep up. Another brown came too close to him and he shrieked at him, baring tooth and claw and he threatened the other to back down.
He had no sweet words for the queen, no replies that he followed, or that he would win her. He was silent, as always, the only sounds being the growls and hisses that were directed at the southern scum. He rose up after her, hoping to come out above her, his wings beating ferociously to match the speeds of those around him. He hissed at the others again.
Ad'os paid little mind to the Weyrleader, his mind already with his dragon. He recognised T'rian, remembered that the two were mated, but in his mind another male was encroaching on his potential territory. His eyes narrowed though he made no move or sound. Inali moved away from the bronzerider, reminding Ad'os that T'rian was not his enemy this time. It was these others, with their sickening smiles and their false words. He mirrored Soheath's sounds, hissing at those gathered.

Vinerath was angry. His queen's chastisement was not lost on him, but nor was it going to stop him from taking a shot at one of the other males if the need arose. He growled at another brown as he bit a dragon who seemed to be the aggressor, but Vinerath held himself back. He would let it go... His Queen. That was what mattered.
He was intoxicated by her. He noticed little else, but that was just as dangerous as if he noticed and attacked all those around him. A'vin felt himself pulled up into the skies wit a dragon. It was almost a painful transition this time as he felt like he was yanked from where he stood, though he was attempting to stay on the ground there with his body, the worry that nagged at his mind, a thought he wished to focus and follow through on... Faded. He was Vinerath. Each man here in Inali's room at Southern was a dragon. And not a one of them mattered except for Loraketh and Inali. They were one in the sky.
He felt himself bare his teeth at T'rian. He knew who he was, vaguely. He knew he outranked him. It didn't matter. This was a flight. The thought was back, attempting to pull him down to earth, but it was difficult. HE was still lost in the clouds and sky that gold, bronze, and brown dragon bodies rushed though and twisted through. He was not as large as some and that lended itself well in thsi case as he did his best to follow the golden queen, his golden queen, through the skies.
Queen flights were long and this one had only just begun... Or so he believed. He had to be smart about how he flew, but he also needed ot impress her... somehow... but this was her show. She was in the spotlight. It would be worng to steal that from her in any way...

T'rian heard Inali's hiss, but didn't turn around to face her. He was fighting to keep control of himself, and not let himself join his dragon in the sky. He glared at all the riders in the room, and growled deep in his throat. I will not let any of you touch my weyrmate. His words were more directed at the Southern riders than the one's from Trelis, but he wouldn't hesitate to act against any of them if they tried to take Inali from him. T'rian knew he would have to wait for Loraketh to choose her king, but that didn't mean he would give Inali up without a fight. A fight that he wasn't sure he would win with so many people against him, but he wouldn't stop fighting for her until he was bloodied, and unable to move any more. He narrowed his eyes on the other riders, and wondered who would be the first one to try and get between him and his weyrmate. He opened his mouth and hissed, ready and waiting. Stallorth crooned back to Loraketh when she crooned at the Trelis males. He heard her warning, and held himself back from tearing into one of the other bronzes. He focused all his attention on Loraketh's golden form. He followed her every twisting, turning move. He even dove after her when she darted towards the earth. He beat his wings as hard as he could and spiraled upwards back into the sky as he followed his golden queen, giving her his all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Talvi bit her lip as she paced around the Weyr. She wasn't sure what to do since A'vin and Vinerath left. She knew that they had gone to try and save Inali and Loraketh from the Southern riders, but she couldn't help but think about what might happen to the two of them. We can always go after them Talvi. Frenath's voice was surprisingly calm, but it didn't help Talvi feel any better. I don't know Nath. She sat down on her bed as she spoke. Dafina grumbled from her pillow on the floor. If they wanted to go flying off, then let them. She was more than content to stay here at her own home. Talvi giggled at her wingless firelizard, and smiled. Well Dafina, take care of things here, Frenath and I will be back as soon as possible. She bent down, and gently scratched the green firelizard's small eye ridges as she spoke. Once she was finished, she walked over to Frenath, and got her ready for the flight, and the betweening, to Southern Weyr that they would both be taking very soon. After she made sure that everything was taken care of, Talvi climbed up onto Frenath's green back. She held on tightly as the green female climbed into the sky, then took the cold trip between that would take them right above Southern Weyr. After her green landed, Talvi quickly made her way to Inali's room, though, she did have to ask several people the way there. She warily peaked in, and tried to spot A'vin among the group of men in the room surrounding Inali. Talvi cautiously walked into the room, trying not to get too close to any of the lust filled men that were there. She gulped as she tried to sneak her way to A'vin. To tell the truth, she was terrified of what might happen to her in that situation. She silently prayed that nothing had happened to the man that she loved, and she also prayed that nothing would happen to her either. But there was just no telling what would happen when a woman was surrounded by a bunch of lust filled men.

Gormyth kept a running link to His’s mind. The plot still weighed heavily on him reinforced by His’s will. That overrode the lust the larger brown felt for the flying queen. He knew at precisely the moment when the trelis males arrived and as a snap landed close to his flank, he ripped into that one’s shoulder leaving a bleeding gash as that one spiraled away with a roar of pain. He was not in this for the win unless the golden sun chose him and it would not help His or Himself by tiring him out or having one of the trelis males maiming him. He only snapped at the ones who grew close enough and that was only a precaution. Dipping and twirling, then climbing he gave an approving rumble. Her violence was coaxed out more as her trelis males joined the fray. Almost as if they were feeding her their own aggression. He could fly after her for a long while yet, and he ignored the other males fighting amongst themselves and concentrated his efforts on the Gold. If His failed at his part of the plan, this may be the only way to get them to trelis. He was doing his part in chasing the gold. Now His could seal the plan… Your turn G’lwein mine…
I know gor. I know. In his mind, G’lwein’s smile took on a dark gleam. It was perfect. He couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. He had made sure his hands were kept directly out of the plot to poison the weyrwoman. She had been sick, she was weak, and had to be only still going because of the ferocity of that queen of hers. The food he’d brought her, he’d gotten himself. It was untainted and pure. He could play the part of kind solicitous ‘good’ rider. And Now that the trelis males were here, this one, apparently the weyrleader, could see his ‘good’ side as well. He simply smiled at the feral snarl directed at him by both the weyrwoman and her mate. “I’m afraid I can’t leave, bronzerider and weyrmate to Iinali. I was given orders to see after the health of Weyrwoman Iinali and with her gold queen flying, it’s doubly important that she receive nourishment. I was told she was sick for her duration here, and I’m telling you right now, if she’s been that ill, the only thing keeping her on her feet is that gold of hers. “ His smile didn’t falter once, seeming open friendly and altogether nonchalant. Not showing any hint of the dragonlust that all the others seemed to show signs of. He and Gormyth had a sort of system worked out. His dragon was more… logical than others. He kept himself under firm control even when flying. That made things easier for Him.
“I swear to you this food is untainted and would even offer for you to test it on me. I assured it was pure and touched by no one after the chef created it. I take my job very seriously M’lord, so im afraid I’m staying until I see the weyrwoman eat and drink. The fact that my Gormyth is flying has nothing to do with it. He’s chasing more out of habit than anything else, and I feel not the slightest attraction to your weyrmate. Not that she isn’t beautiful, of course, but I prefer not wrecking a pair when I don’t have to.” His voice was warm and sincere. The light of his eyes for the most part honest and open. All the same he sat on one of the chairs along the wall and crossed his legs getting comfortable.

S'val and Solarith
A feral snarl tore from the bronze’s throat as a Southern brown strayed to close. Solarith hissed at the unworthy scum and snapped at a passing appendage. With a satisfying snap, his jaws locked around the tail of a young brown and a guttural hiss spilled from his throat as a wave of the young dragons ichor splashed over his tongue and maw. Had he been any more involved with the idea of wanting these traitors dead, there would be no doubt that Solarith would have ripped a hefty chunk of flesh from the males hide and sent him tumbling to the ground and out of the Flight.
Lucky for those gathered that this King was more interested in chasing his golden desire then squabbling with the local filth. Her praising croon towards the Trelis males danced through the air and managed to steal his attention long enough for him to release the screaming brown and snap his wings to his sides to dive after, and then rise once more, as he continued the chase. Every twist he would mimic and every dive he would blindly follow. It was written in his blood and coded in his genes. What was a bronze if he did not sire the next generation of future Thread scorchers? This was his purpose in life and he was determined to follow his Queen till his wings gave out and his very heart burst from the effort.
She was worth it.
Meanwhile, S’val’s features contorted in a silent snarl as T’rian barged into the room and brushed past him, among others, to get to Inali. The Junior Weyrleader of Trelis took a threatening step towards the man, all thoughts that this was his Weyrleader and friend erased from his mind. There was a battle brewing in the skies above and he dared to lay a hand on the one each of their dragons were striving to win over? That was foul play in his eyes.
His un-bandaged eye narrowed as he shot everyone in the room a seething look, mimicking the flicker of violence his companion in the air was feeling at that exact point in time. He was steadily becoming one with his dragon as the full effect of this flight began to set in and everyone in the room flickered from gold, bronze, brown, and all the shades in-between. The usually flight-fiesty S’val growled lowly, sounding much like his lifemate still in the chase, and roughly shouldered a few riders out of his way as he moved closer to where Inali was dancing away from the groping hands of her mate. Foolish boy. Didn’t he know mates meant nothing when it came to the heat and passion of flights?
Briefly his hand twitched down at his side and clenched into a light fist. He was itching for a fight, that was clear, but he still held some sliver of self-restraint. However, he would not hold back a second time if another fool dared to try and cage his queen without her permission first.
____________________________________________________ Ar'rex and Sithorath Ar’rex couldn’t help the twisted little grin that pulled at his features as he observed the antics of those gathered in Inali’s chambers. ‘Such foolish young men…boys really,’ the brownrider mused silently to himself as he eyed who he assumed to be the Trelis Weyrleader step up and try and steal Inali away from the rest of the riders gathered. “Dimglow…” Ar’rex muttered with a shake of his head even as his vision began to meld with that of his brown life companion and he began to see through the blind dragon’s eye.
As he pushed away from the wall, no doubt on his way to antagonize the young rider even further, when a flash of green entered his vision. What was this? A green daring in interfere with a Queen’s flight?! A silent snarl took the place of his charmingly characteristic grin as he faced the newcomer. These Trelis fool’s were a different breed indeed. Did they think they could just waltz into a Queen’s flight if their precious mate was one of the contenders? Hmm… Such insolence and undermining would be the first thing to go once his Sithorath caught Loraketh and became a King. Foolish low ranking riders would know their place and not step out of line, especially when visiting another Weyr.
Ar’rex shot one more longing glance towards Inali, who shimmered and twisted like golden Loraketh, before he began to move through the crowd of suitors. Nearing the greenrider he took her by the arm and hissed in a low, dangerous and lust filled voice. “I would leave if I were you greenrider. You have no place in the midst of a Queen’s Flight…” His grip on her arm was surprisingly light, though firm. He wasn’t going to get violent with this woman, there was no need really. Although, if she wished to stick around and keep him company if the unthinkable happened and he lost this flight… Well, he wouldn’t mind too much.
For now though, his eyes and yearnings belonged to Inali. This Trelis greenrider, who’s name he didn’t care to learn, would need to mind her place and step out of the way. Sparing the girl one more half glance, Ar’rex reluctantly allowed his hand to fall from her arm as he moved to survey the other riders once more, his eyes alight with glee at how entertaining this all was becoming as everyone began to get worked up and aggressive.
Oh the young Queen, hissing and snarling at them all. Such a display was not queenly, or ladylike, in the slightest. Sithorath’s eye flashed with a hint of mirth as he listened to her shriek in annoyance and frustration before diving towards the ground like a fallen star. The lanky male tipped his wings slightly as he proceeded to dive after her but he refused to follow her completely down and back up again, refusing to expend all his energy in such a foolish maneuver. Instead he allowed the wind to gather beneath his wings and at just the right moment, Sithorath snapped them open and shot into the clouds after his one desire once more.
It was clear she didn’t want them to follow, even detested them blindly chasing after her. To the older brown it was obvious that she wanted her own males to swoon and chase after her golden form but it could not be so. Could she not see the great honor that had been bestowed upon her and Hers at this moment? Not only was there one Weyr of dragons involved in her Flight but two! Surely she could see that her odds of picking the strongest, bravest, and most intelligent dragon to sire her eggs had been doubled. Ah yes, this young Queen still had much to learn.
Sithorath was snapped out of his self-narrating moment when a large bronze swerved too close and he was forced to swing to the left and up. Sith fixated his one violet and crimson swirling eye on the offender and twisted his lips in the beginnings of an uncharacteristic growl. It was merely in warning though because as soon as the growl met the air his wings snapped down hard to lift him away from those silly competitors and catch up to his winged goddess, ever drawing closer in an attempt to catch her eye and, hopefully when the time was right, her.

Lessons learned and bridges burned to the ground And it's too late now to put out the fire Tables turned And I'm the one who's burning now Well, I'm doing alright till I close my eyes And then I see your face and it's no surprise
Well then, they all thought they could just get distracted from the real purpose? Inali narrowed her eyes and flexed her hands by her sides as the men practically threw testosterone around the room. Well...men, and a woman. Inali smiled at her, in that moment preferring the one girl besides herself. But no, she didn't want her either. There wasn't anyone here she wanted...where was he? Who was he? Inali's mind fought to keep any control over the dragoness, and she was failing again and again.
In the air, the arrival of the Trelis Green did not go unnoticed by Loraketh. Shrieking, the Gold dove down, stopping at the last moment before heading for Frenath when she realized that it would only allow the males following her to catch her more easily. Winging up again, she fought her way through the chasers still there, picking out one familar brown and shouting at him. Gone! Leave! She hissed dangerously at Vinerath, Inali echoing the shout to his rider. "Leave with her!"
The Weyrwoman's eyes flashed partially with a murderous intent that was familiar in all rising Golds, but also with sadness. She fought a few tears that threatened to slide down her cheek, and again that hollow space inside her ached. Where was he? Why was she trying to find him? Her eyes were blank to anything but what Loraketh saw though, and the Gold was making her last rounds around the Weyr's lands. This flight would end soon, but she didn't want it to. In fact, the Queen would have preferred fighting all these males instead of entwining her neck with any of them.
Another look behind her proved that her efforts had been mostly futile. Many of the bronzes and even some of the browns still remained. Not many, but more than she had expected. She had flown hard, they were good strong males. Were they worthy of Hers and herself? No, especially not after their trechery, but they would pay for that later, she'd make sure they did specially. Not particularly caring who her first victim was, she threw herself suddenly at one of the browns, Inali not bothering to tell her Queen to choose a bronze instead.
Sithorath my dear, are you ready to bleed? Loraketh's dark hiss was laced with flirtation as she collided with the brown, twining her tail around his and flaring her wings as she snaked her head around to bite at his shoulder gently. Oh yes, he could have her, but he and His would pay. As would them all. We told the Queenlet about how I really was LiliMine. Now they will all see. The thought was for Inali only, and the Weyrwoman smirked happily at the thought. No one messed with her family, at least and went without paying a price.
Inali moved toward the brown's rider, but drew back when she saw Talvi there instead. She had told the greenrider to leave, and no doubt she was on her way to doing so, but still! Hissing, the Weyrwoman shook her head and darted away from Ar'rex before he could attempt to catch her too. Her movement sent her into the arms of someone else though, and Inali thrashed for a moment before Loraketh's emotions entangled with her own and the rider she had unknowingly chosen became the object of her affections. Looking up into the bronzerider's eyes, she laughed before standing on her tip toes to kiss him. "I guess I always find my way back to you, don't I T'rian?"
Just like that I'm crawling back to you Just like you said I would, yeah Swallow my pride, now I'm crawling back to you Yeah, I'm out of my head, can't wait any longer Down on my knees, I thought I was stronger Just like that like you said I'd do Yeah, I'm crawling back to you
(Ooc: Okay, so Ar'rex is our new Weyrleader! Here's the surprise....I've decided that you all worked so hard on your riders, you all get to keep them if you wish and bring them to Trelis. Remember, they will have been brought over with the Weyrleader and Weyrwomen when they arrive back at Trelis. I'll put up a thread for that...soonish. >.<)

Vinerath banked away from the Queen. Why didn't she want him? He didn't understand. He hissed at the other males. They would meet death at his claws some time. Oh yes. Oh yes! Of course... he would forget all of this after the Flight. Talvi. Talvi. He was vaguely aware of his weyrmate in the room. It was when someone else grabbed her arm that he forced himself from the thoughts of the flight to the ground. "Release her." His hiss was feral as he reached for Talvi, perhaps a bit roughly... But he was none to happy to obey the Weyrwoman's orders... though he felt the anger and hatred of his dragon... But that didn't matter... Talvi. Talvi. He pulled her to him and kissed her... starting to lead her away. "Talvi..." He murmured, his lips inches from her face. She had come for him.... but he still felt the lust of the flight.... ------ No! She had not picked him! How could she not pick him! He hissed, shaking his head, but he conceded that he had lost and turned away, tired and angry. He would not sulk for long, however... He ignored the other males. His would not care. But he did. And he would have to pretend not to. Oh! How dark the day had turned! He hissed again and snapped his jaws before alighting on his ledge and turning his back on the skies that had a moment ago held the object of his every affection. She had chosen someone else. And for the moment... he hated her. He loathed her for it. She had betrayed him. He would have given him everything. Every part of himself to her. He would have let her destroy him if that was what it took. However... his rider, Samara, would have hated to see him die, though he would have been willing. He would have readily died and she would have readily died with him if that was what had happened. But, nearly crying, she accepted that they had lost. She looked around. she and Inali were the only women in the room. She still felt, however, the same need her dragon had not long ago... Though... difficult, now that her mind was separate from her dragon's, though things were blurry and she felt slightly delirious and not fully capable of coherent thought, she reached out and grabbed the hand of the nearest man.... In this case, none other than G'lwein. Her comrade... and a friend, though he had more bad than good points at times... and more good than bad. You could never be sure with him... "Well... Seems we both lost..." She whispered the words, a small smirk appearing on her lips as she had a grip on his arm.

T'rian's dark brown eyes were a light with the fire of mating lust, and anger he felt at the other riders in the room. Though, to tell the entire truth, he didn't mind the other female rider, in fact, he wouldn't mind keeping her around. Though, deep down he knew his weyrmate wouldn't approve. Oh well, old habits die hard I guess. He narrowed his eyes at the man that spoke to him. He growled low in his throat but made no move to get rid of him.
T'rian didn't see the man as much of a threat seeing as he walked away, and avoided a conflict with him. There was something good in that one, but that thought would have to wait. He turned his snarling gaze back to the other riders. He recognized some of the riders as those he knew from Trelis, but that didn't matter now. They were all trespassing according to him. To him, Inali was his, and his alone. He wouldn't let any of them come near her.
Stallorth on the other hand, was keeping his temper in hand better than his rider was. He completely ignored the other males, and focused his quickly swirling gaze on the object of his lust. His wings beat down as hard as he could, and did everything he could to keep up with her. He made sure to keep his distance from the other males. He had seen what they were willing to do to each other, even after Loraketh had told them to stop.
T'rian looked back at Inali when she yelled at A'vin. He hadn't even realized that another woman had joined them. He shook his head, and turned back to face the remaining riders. When Inali moved from behind him, he stood tall, and watched her carefully. He wished he could reach out and stop her, but he knew he had to keep his hands to himself. He watched quietly as she walked towards a rider, but then hissed, and ran away from the other rider.
T'rian couldn't help the triumphant smile that parted his lips as he wrapped his arms around his mate. He kissed her back when she reached up to him, and nodded at her words. It seems that way my sweet, and I will always find my way to you. His lust filled voice was a lot deeper, and huskier than it normally was, and it held no hint of the playful softness it usually held when he spoke to Inali. He wrapped his arms tighter around her, and held her closer.
Stallorth opened his large jaws and roared loudly and angrily when Loraketh chose a brown. He turned away from them, and flew back to the Weyr. He still felt his lust from the flight, but at that moment he was more interested in tearing something apart with his claws. He headed straight for the herd beast corrals, and quickly chose which one was going to be his first victim. He roared again as he tore into the frightened animal, and relished the feeling of the creatures blood flowing through him.

Talvi winced, and cringed when someone grabbed her by the arm. It was definitely not her A'vin. His hand on her arm was a very unpleasant feeling for her. She looked up at the man that had grabbed her when he hissed at her. She listened to what he said. She hadn't meant to interrupt Loraketh's flight, and she thought Frenath had betweened close enough to the ground that she could have gone unnoticed. She guessed not since this rider was hissing at her for being there.
Talvi started shaking when she thought the man wouldn't let her go, and would keep her there for if he lost the flight. That thought scared her, and all she wanted to do was scream for A'vin, or Frenath, to come and save her. She jumped when she heard Inali's voice, and really was ready to scream when she felt someone else grab her arm, and none to gently either. Then she realized who had spoken last, it was A'vin. She kissed him back, and smiled softly as he started to lead her away.
Talvi knew A'vin might still feel the lust from the mating flight, and was more than happy to make him feel better. She blushed slightly when she heard his voice, and giggled softly. I'm here A'vin. Just for you. Her voice was quiet, yet flirty all at the same time. Though, she couldn't help the feeling that he would be mad at her when he snapped out of the mating lust, and realized that she had ruined his chances at winning Loraketh's flight.

Leaning up and standing out of the chair he had settled himself into he took a few steps toward the door, looking back over his shoulder. "Remember to get your mate to eat, milord. She's been ill for three or four full days at least. If she doesn't eat she'll be too weak to return to Trelis." His voice was soft, not meant to interrupt their reunion, just a gentle reminder that under the dragon induced lust, his weyrmate was weak.
His smile looked for all the world like it was meant for the matepair, but gormyth's responding chuckle was infinitely darker in his mind. That smile was for little Ar'rex who'd just been turned away by the weyrwoman just after attaining the position of weyrleader. Not that it wasnt entirely unexpected. He and Gormyth had never seen a queen just choose the closest one to her like that. Ar'rex and Sithorath seemed like they had just gotten very lucky. Seeing the cocky little brownrider rejected was a sweet enough prize.
Gormyth glided over to his ledge and settled in lighter than the other males. He was not angry. He was not upset. He was not hurt that the queen had not chosen him. The large brown knew that she'd only chosen the closest to her at the time she'd chosen. They'd never obeyed the orders of Southern's weyrleader, and be damned if they were going to follow Sithorath. Right mine? Simply going to Trelis is not going to change anything? That's right Gor. It will change nothing. Especially if that one thinks he's in charge.
During his normal slightly malicious thoughts of the other brownrider, he felt the smaller hand in his own. He looked down to find Samara, his sometimes friend, and comrade. Her eyes were dark and her voice was soft and husky with Amiith's dragon lust. His fellow wingsecond had always been attractive of course, but this was the most appealing he'd seen her in a while. More of a woman than the stubborn tomboy he enjoyed flying with during practices.
His smile warmed for her, allowing his own lust to show, not that of his dragon. Taking her chin gently between his thumb and forefinger, he leaned down and kissed her lips tenderly. "My dearest Samara, don't look at like we lost. Look at it as... being saved being jilted like poor ar'rex." leaning down to her ear, his whisper was soft and seductive. Let the weyrwoman keep her mate. You interest me far more than she does..."

Oh she was quite the angry Queen wasn't she? Syphraelth banked as she rounded on a nearby brown, and he simply doubled his efforts, though the strain in his wings was becoming hard to ignore. His would not be pleased if he failed this close. He bellowed loudly, beating furiously to gain height. Something in the way she moved, the way she glanced back at them, made him think she would soon be making her choice, and he needed to be the one she chose. He HAD to. Then it happened, quicker than he had expected. She banked, throwing herself towards a brown where Syphraelth had been preparing for her to choose the strong bronze. He bellowed again, banking hard, trying to come between them. Almost there! So close... He folded his wings and plumetted from the sky the moment she began twining around Sithorath. He hadn't been able to intervene and His would be most angry!
He backwinged as soon as he was close enough to land and sighed in relief as he was able to finally rest his wings. He had lost, what was he going to do. Relax Syph. His rider's voice, tinged with annoyance more than anything, cut into his mind. The round is lost but the game is not over. I doubt he'll go far without some backup. We just need to make sure we go with him. The brown crooned sadly, but settled to rest and nurse his muscles.
In the room, J'degar was grimacing as he felt.. saw.. Loraketh entwine with Sithorath of all dragons. Gl'wein he wouldn't have minded losing to, but he could trust than man to continue with the plans. Ar'rex on the other hand... Gar couldn't help grinning as the winner was denied the prize. So, both the Trelisian leaders had no understanding of flight etiquette. Figures! This was why hatchlings like them shouldn't be left in charge, and as much as he didn't trust Ar'rex, at least the man might teach the damn Weyrwoman a lesson in how things work. he glanced to the side, noting that faranth-forsaken women rider was coming on to Gl'wein. He turned away from the scene. He was sure there was no fondness between him and the other losers, and he knew a few nice ladies in the lower caverns who would gladly throw themselves at a brownrider. He would deal with this one thing at a time. Besides, he doubted the Trelis leaders would leave before morning.
Soheath remained silent as Loraketh gave herself to the southern scum. He had lost, but he did his best to remain in the air for a short while longer, ensuring his Queen made it safely down before he finally gave in and landed. He didn't want to stay here, in Southern. He would have much rather returned to Trelis immediately, fearing the dangers the Trelis dragons now faced; they were too tired to leave Southern or fight back.
Ad'os didn't know what to do. Normally he would have simply run back to his room to deal with the remaining flight lust, but he was in unfamiliar territory. Barely registering who had won, he stumbled, bumping into Ar'rex. "S..sorry.." He forced out, the flightlust wanting him to simply stay and try to relieve the feelings with one of the men here, but another part of him was able to fight away from it, even if it was hard. He turned away, stumbling slowly towards the door.

Samara's eyes closed as his lips met hers. "You have no idea how long I had wanted that from you..." she said in a soft whisper. She was probably going to regret her words later. "Well, then, my winner..." she gently raised a hand to his cheek. She was still a woman. She smirked slightly, her lips pulling at one corner ever so slightly, her arms wrapping around him. "Mhmm... good." She tried not to frown as she tried to think clearly of what they should do right now. Probably go to another room... It wasn't just Amiith. She knew she had to admit that much. ----- A'vin grinned. "Good. Because I'd get jealous if you came for anyone else, my darling..." His words were soft in her ear. He gently pulled her into an empty weyr, not caring exactly whose it was. ((Short... prolly for the better)
