The Innocent white moaned again, the pain in her wings causing her great distress. She needed to find someone to help her get rid of the pain. She looked around and crooned when she finally felt that one person that would be Hers. Mine? You won't let anything else bad happen to me, right Mine? I know she didn't mean it...it was my fault I'm sure. Oh, I've messed up surely, hasn't I? Why are you all the way up there though? Can you come and get me...please Xaemia? Your Moth hurts. She walked as quickly as she could over to where Xaemia was now. Moth’s wings were dragging on the ground behind her as she walked, green ichor dripping from the all the way over to her rider. She crooned and walked around the people that were gathered around Hers, and even gently nudged her brother in greeting. She was happy that he had found His, and now she had found hers. Now if only Xaemia would help the pain in her wings. She nuzzled the girl’s arm and crooned sadly. She didn’t understand what she had done to her sister to cause her to do this, but all she wanted now was someone to help her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Point of No Return Garnet ignored his dark sister, and gazed quietly over at the candidates. He felt that His was there somewhere, but he just couldn’t pinpoint him just yet. Oh yes, he knew that His would be a male. He had found him when all those candidates had touched his egg. So much chaos and bloodshed had happened before he had hatched, and he was quite glad that he had missed it all. He could practically feel the hatred that those candidates and most of the people in the stands held for him, even though he had done nothing to earn it. The Point of No Return Garnet shook his head, oh yes; this was going to be quite interesting when he finally did find His. His attention was dragged away from the candidates when his sister decided it was her turn to “discipline” them all. He did his best to hold back the growl that was growing in his chest. There was no question in his mind that that sister of his would hurt His, which made him even more determined to find him before any harm could come to the human that would be his rider for the rest of their lives. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ R’as smiled and nodded at his sister’s words, he was a handsome little male wasn’t he? Of course Xae, come on Virath, she won’t hurt you. His words were soft and calm as he spoke to the shy little male. Virath slowly approached the one His called Xaemia, or Xae, and gently nudged her hand. He crooned softly when she heard she was blind, and was grateful that His had explained to him what that meant. So the girl that was now touching him couldn’t see, but that didn’t explain why she wanted to touch him. He wants you to explain why you’re touching him Xae. R’as smiled and watched as his shy little dragon came and pushed his muzzle against Xae’s hand. It was nice to see them getting along, and even better to see that his new life mate was slowly getting used to his sister and best friend. The moment was short lived when he noticed that the little white that had hatched after Virath was making her way over to them. He wasn’t sure why she was coming this way, but since the only person he knew of that didn’t already have a bonded was Xaemia, he figured there must be a connection. That’s when R’as realized that Xaemia had impressed the little white female. Congratulations Xaemia! But I think we should get a healer over here to take a look at your dragon’s wings. He wasn’t sure if anyone had told her what had happened, but he was almost positive that the little female would tell her, and so he stood and tried to find a dragon healer. Virath crooned and whined when he saw his sister. He was glad that she had found her rider, but he was upset that she was still hurt. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ White(f) Moth Impressed To: Xaemia Pronunciation: as it looks Rank: White(f) Size: 16 Feet Color Codes:Base: d9e8dcAppearance:A pale, almost foggy sort of white, Moth is on the smaller size of Whites. At 16ft, she is petite, and has small wings. So small, that they would have been shown a miracle if they had gotten off the ground normally. However, since she was mauled by her glowing sister, they will never taste the air. Personality:Innocent and child-like, Moth is one to never harm another. She's a pacifist and everything that is good in the world rolled up into one tiny package. This can be a good thing, and it can be very bad. Moth trusts too easily, and she is ignorant much of the time as well. Because of this, it is common for her feelings to get hurt. As some will say, she wears her heart on her wing for everyone to see. Keeping an emotion from someone else actually seems like a false reality to her, so you will never hear her lying either. She has a kitten-like disposition though; incredibly curious, but she really is harmless. Mind-Voice:Can you come and get me...please Xaemia? Your Moth hurts.Innocent and small, Moth's voice is one that is wavering like the last branch trying to hang onto a bare tree. It comes and goes in breathy little clumps, but it echoes in your head after it leaves. Note on Moth:She is the first White to be not ungendered. The mutations are hitting the dragons in a multitude of ways, and this is one. Whites now can either come out being ungendered, male, female, or hermaphroditic. In a way, they are a Wild Card color now for Trelis. (Females or hermaphroditic whites can lay one egg, and one egg only every three turns after their first flight. It isn’t always viable either.) Why:I knew before I was mauled that you would be the one Xaemia! I love you, and what else is there to say? Now that I can never fly though, I'm sure that I have made the best choice. Faranth wouldn't have let my sister hurt me so if this wasn't meant to be.

Bryden glanced up as one of the other candidates said something about stopping the vicious hatchling to the Weyrwoman, and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, isn't anyone going to do anything about it?" he added. Honestly, this sort of thing would never have happened if he had been in charge and not just a candidate...
He blinked in surprise as the mauled white pulled herself over towards the feeding tables. What on Pern was she doing over there? It quickly became obvious, though, that she had Impressed. Ah, at least something was going right. Though it kind of looked as if that girl had trouble seeing, at best. He couldn't help but wonder how those two were going to manage.

D'rian laughed as he made his way down to where Keegan and j'dol sat after car and Iirla had abandoned them in favor of rayas. While he was very happy for the kid, he didn't want to miss any part of Alessandra's hatching so he stayed in the stands instead of going to congratulate him. There'd be plenty of time for that later.
D'rian couldn't believe the fact that Keegan had chosen that method to try to get j'dol to pipe down. Never work in a thousand years...
" I dunno about that j'dol. If he wasn't torn between punching you and making sure nothing happens to his sister I have a feeling he'd surprise you. I know he surprised me!". He gave his friend a little nudge which of course gained him nothing more than a roll of eyes.
" thank franath you're here. Would you talk to this fool so that I can concentrate? A boy is dead already shard it an my little sister is Down there!

"Because, Virath... Being blind, I can't see what you look like... and touching you helps me to get a better and clearer idea... Like when I touched R'as' face when I met him," she explained to the little black... but she didn't have long to talk before she heard the voice in her head and stood, turning, looking in the direction of the sands. Then... teh white was walking around them. She instinctively knew where she was and bent down, wrapping her arms around her neck. I won't let anything happen to you ever again, She said to her little white.
I hurt XaemiaMine. My sister... she tore my wings. Oh... What did I do to make her angry...? Surely I must have done something. OH! Her wings! Her wings. "Hold still, alright Moth... It'll be alright. I promise you that. Okay... She felt helpless... and she could feel the ichor against her hands. The tears in her eyes showed just how much pain she could feel across their link and how afraid she was for her lovely new lifemate. "Oh Moth..." Iirla bent down and, not really noticing if she got the ichor on her dress, started to try to stop teh bleeding. "I know it hurts, Moth... but she is trying to help..." she held the white's head and tried to get her to eat somethign while her wings were looked at. "Oh... R'as... Iirla..." she said rather helplessly, her flitters gathering nearby.
She was still holding onto Moth as if for dear life adn attempting her best to keep herself together as she waited for her to be cared for and bandaged up. Oh... She could feel the ichor on her clothign. But it didn't matter. No... only the life of her Moth mattered. Her beautiful dragoness. SHe couldn't see her... but... from what Tizzy and Stayn ahd shown her and simply by the fact taht she was hers... She was beautiful. More beautiful than any other dragon there ever was or ever coudl be.

So much seemed to have occurred after the 'evil one' hatched. Not much of it was good. Thankfully the Garnet was not joining in on the biting-mauling spree that seemed to be going on. Would it ever stop!
With fists of righteous anger Sari stood her ground with glaring eyes. Oh she was kind in nature most of the time but now she was burning with emotion. She was past the point of crying. No, that would be a useless emotion at this point. Sari had to look strong, to be strong. She certainly felt strong in body and mind, but very troubled in heart.
With mouth parted slightly, she kept watch of the candidate on either side of her. She saw one of them get bit by the dark purple hatchling. She determined with a stiff posture that she would take whatever she was dealt and deal it right back. Biting back a hatchling? Okay, that was an odd thought to cross her mind. She shook her head and just watched as she was passed by. She was almost regretful.
When the sweet little white, with dragging wings left her spot and found her chosen one by the food tables, a breath of relief, Sari did not know she was holding escaped her lips. She was so very relieved that the white was away from the dark one and in the loving arms of Hers. It was a moment of pureness amongst the dark chaos that currently blanketed the hatching sands in its dark emotional foreboding. Yes, what would happen next?

She began to pace. It was no longer a carefree, observant pace; it was a bit of a frantic pace. The actions of her sister were becoming distracting enough that the Dualities Green was having a hard time concentrating on her search. From here, all she could feel from the gathered selection was fear and disgust at the actions of her ridiculous sister. Frustrated, the Dualities Green moved from where she was and stalked towards the candidates. Her search brought her to the females. Was Hers to be a female? She stalked in between the girls, wrapping around them to observe them before deciding the match wasn’t correct. A second girl was passed, then a third, and a fourth. On the fifth she stared up at Allessandra, her eyes whirling in agitation with the smallest hints of red beginning to show. No! This girl was not right either! She lashed out with her tail, whipping the girl along her leg and likely forcing her to fall to the ground, though the attack would leave only a bruise. The green stalked off, annoyed at the weak willed females for being so… weak-willed. It was a boy she needed. No, not a boy; A man. She needed strength! She wound her way towards the boy, hissing at her sister as she passed; a warning to keep her distance. The first boy was given a decisive snort of disapproval. Oh! What was this? Perhaps she felt something over there? She hoped so, this dilly-dallying was getting to be a tad tedious. She had things to accomplish and the more time spent here meant less time to follow her goals; that would simply not do. She began stalking towards her new target, feeling more confident and holding herself prouder with every stride. She weaved to the side to avoid one particularly unwanted boy, but the change in course put a new obstacle in her way. This would NOT DO! She roared at Aarin, angry that yet another obstacle was blocking her. She knew she needed to get to the one just passed him, so why did he stand there in her way. Not caring anymore she bowled passed him. If he didn’t move, it would likely result in a claw tearing at his leg. She didn’t notice what happened to the boy, nor did she care. The one she had been searching for was here in front of her. The Dualities Green snorted in annoyance as her whirling rainbow eyes looked into pale brown eyes. I suppose you will have to do, boy. I expect you won’t waste my time like this again in the future. The voice was powerful in the boy’s mind, commanding in a way. It held no doubt that she wouldn’t tolerate uselessness. I will forgive you this time, but only because I can see better things in you. Now come, Bryden, we have much to accomplish and little time to waste. Might we begin with food? The green turned and stalked away, heading to the table without particularly caring if the man followed her. She could do it on her own if she had to. Turning to look back at him, she huffed again and added another thought, It would be in your best interests not to keep your Kohenkyoth waiting a second time, B‘den.
Green Kohenkyoth Impressed To: Bryden Pronunciation: Koh-hen-key-awth Rank: Green Size: 24.5 Feet Color Codes:Base: 849e46Marking 1: c1e19bMarking 2: 466118Appearance:Kohenkyoth will one day be among the larger greens in the Weyr. However, despite her size she is an extraordinarily slender creature, if a bit oddly shaped. Her hind thighs seem large compared to the rest of her, a trait that will remain her entire life. Her hind legs will allow her to make swift, powerful take offs, allowing her to be in the air much faster than many of her brethren. Her midsection, however, is so thin that she almost looks malnourished. She has long limbs, wings included, and will be quite agile in the air, able to quickly outdistance her sisters in straight flight. Her maneuverability, however, is lacking, and she will have some troubles with the harder tricks aerial tricks. On the ground, she moves almost awkwardly, hindered by her large hind legs. Her hide is a soft, olive green with light hints of yellow on her otherwise solid hide. A pale green marks the tips of her wing fingers, head knobs and tail. The toes of her front feet are dipped in the pale green, and the same colour can be seen up to the knees on her hind legs. An almost mane-like marking rinks the area where her head and neck meet, and trails down to blend in with her pale belly. She has three sections of darker green on her body. The first and most obvious are the almost sleeve-like markings on her front legs, reaching from wrist to elbow. On her thigh is a marking reminiscent of her own egg, two dots with curved tails seem to chase each other around on both thighs. A thin line of dark green lines the bottom of her eyes. Her claws are a striking black against the light markings on her feet. Personality:If there is one thing Kohekyoth does not tolerate, it is incompetence. A bronze in green hide, Kohenkyoth believes she can do anything she sets her mind to, and she’ll do it better than the one everyone believes is more qualified. She’s a hard worker, highly intelligent for a green, is able to easily grasp difficult concepts and has an excellent memory. It will be rare to see her doing anything other than training or learning in some way; even her sleeping hours seem to be spent with training on the brain. She is the type of dragon who never needs something repeated twice (and if she does she’ll deny it with all her heart). In most situations, Kohenkyoth is calm, cool, and collected and it takes a fair bit of effort to make her lose her composure. A proud dragoness, Kohenkyoth has high standards and even higher goals. She dreams of leading others and proving that greens are not just small incapable dragons. As far as flirting goals, she will only do it if she believes it will help her move up the ladder, but otherwise tends to think of males is useless distractions. Mind-Voice:We will not succeed by hanging back, B'den. We must move forward with pride and confidence. Do not let the doubts of others hamper your goals.Though her voice is definitely feminine, the tone is deeper and more masculine than one might expect from a green. Always full of confidence, pride, and determination, her voice never wavers and never fails. Most of the time her voice is calm but strong, easily heard without being intrusive or loud. During moments of extreme emotion, the volume of her voice may increase, but the core sound of it never changes. Even in the best of times, Kohenkyoth is not a very chatty dragon, preferring to keep her words, few as they are, to her rider. Conversations with other dragons are rarely started by her, but she will answer to anyone who speaks to her, though her responses are more on the blunt side. Why:Many will say I have standards and goals that are much too 'high' for a green. Too bad for them. I will overcome adversity and these prejudices and prove how capable I am. I cannot do this alone however... I need someone to stand by me, and I believe that is you. I like your ambition. I think we can become a powerful pair, don't you?

Somewhere in the middle of the remaining eggs, a loud crack was heard. Where once the shell of the Lost Sun Egg sat, a proud, sturdy brown was lifting his head for the world to see. He was not interested in the world, however. No! There were injustices afoot and they needed to be dealt with. How dare thee make such a mockery of our sacred hatching! Have thee no shame, Blacklight? The brown spread his wings, making his appearance more foreboding that it already was with his perfectly toned form. He stalked away from his shell, light brown hide shining in the sun as if he were a knight in shining armor.
Stop thine foolishness Sister, before I am forced to put a stop to it mineself. The Lost Sun brown spoke with a powerful voice as he pulled a stance before the vicious dragonet. It was clear he did not fear her in the least, but the posture of his body showed he was willing to rend her to pieces if that was necessary to bring forth justice.

Shard it, why has no one done anything about that awful black and purple dragonet yet? It looked too small to be an Obsidian, but she looked to be the right colors… In any case, the thing still had not yet satisfied her need for the blood of the innocent. She snapped out at one of the female Candidates, who yelped and fell back out of line. Loraketh growled at the little dragonet, but the young thing knew that she was not going to do anything about it, and dismissed her mother outright. He could see it in the way she carried herself. It was insanity. What dragon could ignore a Gold? The monster continued to go through the females, one by one, causing them some sort of distress, and then bit every single one of them going down the line. And no one was doing anything about it? No one lashed back out at her? Well, perhaps it was for the best. That hideous creature probably would kill them too. But the dragonet had to know that she had thoroughly garnered the hatred of everyone here. Not even the most desperate of Candidates would want to Impress her, and it was unlikely that anyone was ever to forgive her. Years from now, if she did not draw wary and disgusted looks, he would be terribly surprised. She killed her own twin sister and her Bonded. Disgusting. There was nothing that would ever be alright with that. Then the damn thing pounced on one of the male candidates and harried him a bit, dripping the blood of countless others on him. At least she seemed to have stopped for now, but if she went any further… Aarin certainly was not going to let anyone else die here today.
Though he was a bit distracted, he did notice that the White Impressed. He was going to fall out of line to help the poor, mangled thing, but plenty of people fell upon her and her new Bonded almost immediately. That was good. That was very good indeed. Hopefully they would be able to spare the poor little thing’s wings. He did take notice that the girl who had Impressed the tiny thing was not in the white robes of Candidacy. A stands Impression then- now novel. Good for her. Hopefully, they would be able to overcome this and live a happy life together. It appeared that the Impressions were not over yet, as Aarin was soon to find out. He had been keeping tabs on the Dualities Green for a bit, making sure that she was okay. She went through the female Candidates and apparently did not find hers there. Then she began to go through the males before taking a brief pause in front of him. A sudden roar and the dragon was charging at him! That was… definitely unexpected. Thankfully, he was wary, or he probably would have been torn asunder by the raging dragonet. He jumped to the side, landing on his bum in the sands as the claws of the dragonet savaged his robe. As she stood before the boy next to him, Aarin studied his robes. There were long gashes that ran to the bottom, leaving part of it in tatters. He felt sorry for the Candidates who did not Impress today who were to remain Candidates. They would have to fix this. It was almost amusing. Still a bit stunned, though, he remained planted on the sand, feeling the heat through the thick calluses on his palms.

With greens being considered low-ranked female dragons, Bryden had largely ignored the presence of the Dualities green, beyond noting the fact that she had yet to Impress. A small fighter like that didn't exactly fit in with his ambitions of high rank, so he kept his attention on the unhatched eggs, hoping one of them held a bronze, or at least a brown.
The green, apparently, was not content with that. She stalked among the female candidates, no doubt searching for her rider, but with no luck. The female only caught Bryden's attention when she lashed her tail out at one of the candidates, and he cursed under his breath. Not as bad as some of the other hatchlings, perhaps, but was this another troublemaker on the sands?
It wasn't long before the green was making her way towards the male candidates, and Bryden lingered in the back of the crowd, not wanting to get mauled by the green. His cunning plan failed, however. The green roared at the candidate beside him, a boy named Aarin, and barreled past him, causing Bryden to jump. What was up with that green?
The hatchling snorted in annoyance and stared up at Bryden, locking eyes with the candidate, and reality shifted. I suppose you will have to do, boy. I expect you won’t waste my time like this again in the future.
Kohenkyoth's voice was powerful and confident, and she was speaking to him? She had Impressed...I will forgive you this time, but only because I can see better things in you. Now come, Bryden, we have much to accomplish and little time to waste. Might we begin with food?
B'den was still processing the fact that he had Impressed a fighting female, but Kohenkyoth didn't seem to care. In fact, she was already making her own way over to the feeding tables, and the newest greenrider rushed to catch up with her. "Just so you know, I have no intention of just being an average wingrider."
Kohenkyoth snorted, but he could sense amusement as well. That's good, since neither do I.
They passed Aarin, the candidate Kohenkyoth had knocked over earlier, and B'den stopped. "Sorry about Kohenkyoth," he said just a bit sheepishly. At least he would make sure she wouldn't do anything like that again.
It would be in your best interests not to keep your Kohenkyoth waiting a second time, B‘den, she pointed out impatiently.
He rushed forward again to join her before he could say more, and they arrived at the feeding tables together. As Kohenkyoth ate, fortunately not requiring much supervision from B'den, her rider grabbed one of the rags provided and began cleaning her off.

So much was happening! Zion had thought he would be used to the quick nature of Hatchings by now, but apparently not. He couldn't keep his eyes in one place for more than a second or he would miss something.
The lazy blue had Impressed, and then... Zion held his breath as the Unthinkable Happenstance Egg hissed and rocked and fought against itself before finally there was silence, and then a terrible crack rang out, splitting the egg almost directly in half.
A slender, graceful Amethyst stepped forward, and almost immediately found Hers. Zion smiled. She ran forward, but before she made it to A'eal, a dark form rose up behind her. Zion blinked in confusion. Another Ebony...? No... this was something different. Something far more sinister.
He nearly cried out as the black-and-purple hatchling attacked A'eal, easily killing him. Her amethyst sister Betweened, and Zion held back another cry of anguish. Garnets were one thing, but this? This was pure... evil.
The black-and-purple proceeded to attack the Innocent White, and Zion clenched his fists. He wished he could punish that little dragon for everything she had done!
He was so angry that he almost missed the Ebony Impressing to Rayas. Almost immediately after, a Garnet did hatch from the Point of No Return Egg. Zion shook his head. This Garnet wasn't mauling or attacking. Was this hatching going to be all screwed up, or would something normal happen?!
There. The Dualities Egg hatched into a normal Green, which made him feel a bit less upset. The unImpressed blue, however, was still walking around biting people, which was not normal for a Blue. Zion closed his eyes and shook his head. What was happening? Had his entire world turned upside down?
The Warrior and Reckless Eggs seemed to be about to Hatch now, and Zion turned to them while still keeping one wary eye on the Blue and on the Black-and-Purple, who, as of yet, still went unnamed. But then... the White Impressed! Zion let out a sigh of immense relief.
Then the Dualities Green Impressed, again to Zion's relief. He just hoped that the black-and-purple hatchling wouldn't kill anyone else. That one needed to either be killed or Impress before she could do any more damage.
But then the Lost Sun Egg hatched! The Lost Sun Brown also gave a name to the black-and-purple, and threatened to put an end to her madness. Zion nodded. The one that Impressed that Brown was going to have their work cut out!

The Poisoned Apple Blue wheeled back the moment that the brown was on teh sands and gave a low hiss. Oh whatever. EH was nothing as compared to him and to the girl he was looking for. He reached out with a claw and pushed the females around... OH! Where was his! He wanted his now! While he was terrorizing the female candidates... it was the Glass Menagerie Egg's turn to hatch. It was considerably less enthusiastic than its brother had as it slowly hatched, the dragoness sticking her nose out of the blue shell. She was a green of such varying colors and beauty. Her dark green tear-like marking by her eye would likely be the first of her very beautifully colored hide that one noticed. She was large for a green and filled out quite nicely with well toned muscle and a hide with a certain sheen to it. She gave a soft keen and looked at the candidates. Hers was not amongst them. She hissed irritably. Why not!? Why not! Where was he!? While his sister was upset on the sands, he turned to his as he found her. Now ZaneMine... You're Hiarth is not happy that you decided to hide from him. What do you think you were doing hiding from your Hiarth. Now. Food would be a good idea. I would care for food right now and then we are going to go see my other siblings now. And we will rule over them. Now come!blue Hiarth Impressed To: Zane Pronunciation: Hee-are-th Rank: Blue Size: 22.45 Feet Color Codes:Base: 002254Face Marking: 98c3cc and 1b709eSpots and boots: 425b7fLeg Stripes and Wing Markings: 677a99Appearance:Hiarth is a very dark blue color. He is small and light in build. He almost seems to be emaciated. However, I assure you, he is entirely healthy. He simply has a hard time putting on and retaining wait. He will be an extremely fast and agile flier. His wings are strong, long and angular. His strong suite will be quick aerial maneuvers. As for his hide, it is primarily a very dark blue with lighter blue spots along his sides and tail as well as lighter blue rings on his wings, legs, and one on his tail. His feet are a lighter more gray blue in color. Personality:Devious, sly, childlike, demanding, prideful, greedy, envious, irritable, cannot stand it if he doesn't get what he wants, intelligent and cunning, huge ego. Mind-Voice:Oh... But, Mine... I really want it. It looks like me. Get us one, yessss...? It will be wonderful to have a mini me flittering about. His voice is smooth, almost like sweet oil moving over a glass surface. It is a bit more on the side of being a rich alto. Why: Oh Zane Mine. Who better to control and and fight with than you? Your Hiarth will rule over so many and over you and you will be a good little girl. But of course... you ahve some fight in you. And that is why I chose you. R’as knelt down beside Xaemia, and gently placed an arm around her shoulders. Here now, the healers are here and you have to let them see her. He wasn’t making any move to take her away from her dragon, instead he was just letting her know that she might want to loosen her grip around the female’s neck while the healer’s tended to Moth’s wings. Virath crooned sadly and moved closer to his sister. He felt terrible for what had happened to the smaller female, and wished there was something he could do.
R’as Mine, there must be something we can do to help my sister. Virath still couldn’t understand why Moth had been attacked by their larger sister, but he still felt bad for her. Then there was the girl that his sister had impressed to. He reached out, and gently nudged the girl’s elbow. He whined piteously and wished there was something more that he could do for the two of them. We’re here for you Xae. R’as’ voice was gentle, and caring as he spoke to the small woman. He wished the poor white would have impressed sooner, and never have been attacked, but there was nothing he could do about the past.
