Gormyth roared loudly as he dropped out of the sky like a meteor hurtling toward earth landing a mere foot away from the enraged bronze. He knew Sithorath had not wanted any of this but Ar'rex had forced him. He'd been defying his master and that's what kept him from intercepting them first, but when that sharding fool of a bronze had bewteened only feet from him he'd tried to protect the egg, betweening in the process. Now the bronze had the egg.
" HE WAS LEAVING IT FOR US TO RETURN YOU !!! "
"GORMYTH STOP THIS NOW!" The large brown calmed under the immediate order of his. It had been a while since he'd killed a bronze, but so help him he wanted to end this one. Badly. "The primary concern is for the egg, and As Junior weyrleader as well as one who made a vow to loraketh It is our duty to return it."
Though Gor wanted to rip the bronzes throat out , he growled out his words with only a hint of malice.
"You bronze, will relenquish the egg to us and flank us directly back to Loraketh. Mine's mate is tangled up in this and at risk." His own crimson eyes glared at the bronze.
"We will not brook any Argument on this matter. Anyother thing you do will result in further delay. And I will not allow you to endanger mine's mate and my brother.Not to mention the longer you stand there the egg is in increasingly more danger."
He didn't add 'and your death' like he wanted to, But he and his for that matter would NOT allow anyone else to return the egg. Their very survival depended on it, as did the survival of their brothers. Just incase, the long blades that criscrossed his back's handles found their way into G'lwein's hands. He was not returning without the egg, and they'd have to kill him out here to get the egg back if they didnt allow HIM to take it.

Syphraelth had gotten the information he needed from the other dragons and soon he had an image ready. The cold of between engulfed his form as he transported himself alongside the Trelis dragons. Solarith had beaten them here, but Syphraelth didn’t care. Sithorath was there, the egg was there, and that’s all the brown cared about. Screaming, he lunged down at the Southern brown, ready to tear him limb from limb for doing something so terrible, brother or not. However, the bronze had beaten him to it and Sithorath disappeared between before Syphraelth had gotten close enough to do anything. He dove to the side to avoid the angry bronze and landed a fair distance to the side, crooning sadly that it had come to this.
Solarith has the egg, GarMine. It is safe now I think. The brown reported to his rider . Shall I return to Trelis? J’degar grimaced as he watched the other riders gathering about. No... stay there. The more defense the better. He had dismounted the brown before the search had begun, and now he stood awkwardly off to the sidelines, hoping his presence at Trelis would prove the innocence of his dragon and himself. The egg was safely under the protection of a Trelis dragon, the time of judgement would be drawing near soon.
He could see his son milling about in the crowd. Would he be punished as well for being from Southern? The boy liked it here… and despite the lack of proper behavior… J’degar was also growing fond of things here. Suffice to say it was never boring anyways. He straightened up. Soon he would learn his fate.
Ugh.. it didn’t look like they were getting anywhere with this. That damn Trelis bronze was a psychopath. Why, of all dragons, did HE have to be the one to get the egg. Syphraelth gulped.. His wanted him to hurry up so they could figure out where they would be going from now on, but with Solarith being as broody as the gold it seemed they wouldn’t be going anywhere anytime soon. Well. Enough was enough! He had things to do!
Solarith! Syphraelth caused, moving closer, but not close enough for the bronze to swipe at him without moving. Solarith, we MUST take the egg back to Trelis. Every moment here is another moment away from the warmth of sand and mother. The brown inched forward slightly with every move. If he had to… for the sake of the egg he would die for it. It was his duty as a dragon. He would have to fight the bronze. His voice took on a rumbling, menacing tone. It will DIE if you keep guarding it here.

Loraketh listened from a far at the events going on with her bronze and brown brethren. Hissing, she flicked her wings rather frustrated. They had gotten the egg, and they were fighting over what to do with it?!? That was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard! Getting up despite Inali's protests she called for Iliath to come to the eggs. Don't say anything hun, just don't chomp too much of their tails off. The green wrapped her body around the eggs and narrowed her eyes at the people and dragons still around.
With a roar, the Queen was in the air and blinking to the beach with her egg. YOU ALL ARE AS SOFT AS NEW-CLUTCHED SHELLS! Hissing at Solarith to get away from her egg, she snapped her jaws with a defining click. It would be smart for him to move. Follow, Mine will speak with all of Yours. With that the gold gently picked the large bronzy egg up in her front talons and started flying back. When she arrived, she laid it back carefully where it belonged and settled in her spot. Iliath nodded her head but stayed on the other side for now.
Seeing as the green was actually in Loraketh's favor at the moment, she didn't mind too much. The males on the other hand were going to be a problem she was going to have Hers deal with very, very soon.

T’rian did his best to mentally pull his dragon back, but that was no easy task. Stallorth was enraged, and at that moment saw just about everyone as the enemy. When the bronze dragon the mental picture of where the egg was being held, he didn’t waste any time. He quickly betweened there, and to his surprise Loraketh had beaten him there. He landed next to her, and even though Solarith was larger than himself, he stood tall and menacingly as he stood behind his queen. He wasn’t dumb enough to get in her way, but if Solarith even thought of getting between her and her egg, he would be there to take him out. It didn’t’ matter to him if he died in the process. His mate’s egg would be returned to it’s mother, and all would be as it was supposed to be once again.
Stallorth didn’t pay any heed to the other dragon’s there; instead he followed Loraketh as she made her way back to Trelis with her egg. He back-winged, and landed next to the sands when they arrived. I am sorry my queen. That was all he could say. He didn’t know what else to say for the way he had acted. To tell the truth he acted like a father who had just lost one of his own children, and wanted to get it back, but he wasn’t sure if she would have seen it that way or not. He hoped she wouldn’t be mad at him, and would let him stay there with her and the eggs. If she didn’t let him stay near the sands, then he would find a way to stay right above the sands, to help keep watch over them.
T’rian sighed and shook his head. What are we going to do about this all now Inali? The Weyrleader has gone, and I highly doubt he’d ever be dumb enough to show his face around here again. His voice was quiet, and only for his mate to hear. He knew he had no real standing, but at least he could help figure something out in this time of need. After all, he had taken care of the Weyr before, and knew quite a few people. The main reason he was speaking up, was because he didn’t want that so called Junior Weyrleader to even consider about stepping up in place of Ar’rex. No one from Southern was safe in his opinion, and he wasn’t about to let some Southerner take over his Weyr ever again.

Syphraelth quickly jumped away from Solarith the moment Loraketh and Stallorth emerged from between. He was no idiot, he knew better than to get between an angry gold and her egg. Besides, if anyone were to get through to the psychotic bronze, it would be his Queen. He took to the air a moment after Loraketh had disappeared, wanting to ensure she had all the space she needed.
You’re back? The brown heard his rider’s voice in his head and immediately banked to land as near to him as possible. Gar moved swiftly to stand by Syphraelth’s side and wrapped his arms around the dragon’s broad head. You didn’t get hurt, did you Syph? It was the loving tone only the dragon ever got to hear and Syphraelth crooned appreciatevly. You have collected your things? Gar shrugged. The most important things he needed, such as his riding gear and belt knife, were already on his person and he figured he would have enough to to gather a few other things from his weyr once Loraketh kicked them out.
A silent understanding passed through them. It was time Gar went to join the other Southerners and learn his fate. Jogging down to where they stood, he nodded sadly at them before turning his attention to the Weyrwoman and her mate.
“Weyrwoman… I… “ He bowed his head sadly, “Syphraelth and I will leave if you give the command. I understand if we are not welcome here.” From the ledge behind him, Syphraelth crooned sadly. “But please, have it in your heart to allow my son to remain.“

G'lwein patted Gor's neck reassuringly as the Queen betweened onto the scene. The pair were floored that she would leave the rest of her eggs but with a rumbling roar of anger at the bronze after the queen had betweened , Gormyth launched himself into the air and betweened. Landing just off the sands where he stalked to Amiith.
Is the young one alright LorakethQueen? All had been that sharding gold of southern's doing. That and that ar'rex. Sith hadn't wanted to do it. Of that he was certain. His muscles were tense and he was ready for anything at this point.
G'lwein slipped from Gor's neck and slipped his arms around Samara, keeping her close and backed against their two dragons in case any of the Trelis'ians got any ideas. "Don't worry Samara. The egg is fine, I'd have had the egg back if that bronze wouldn't have been neurotic and tried to keep it on the beach. They've gotta see that we were not responsible for this mess."
Jillalene stood to the side studying the brown pair. She'd known he watched her some nights. He'd actually told her about it. She had thought it odd at first, but then he'd told her it was because she left the safety of the weyr at night. And His duty was to protect the weyrlings and people of the weyr. She couldn't believe G'lwein could have been party to a plot like this, like they were all saying. Eulurth nudged his and they walked over nearer to them, they were followed by D'rian and Kelath who each looked equally as serious and nervously around at their fellow weyrmen and women. This was not going to be pretty whatever happened. But they'd gained some allies here, and it was time to show their support.

Inali sighed as she put her head against T'rian's choulder, listening to his worries. Whispering back, she nodded her head. "Don't worry, Loraketh and I have this all figured out." She gave him what she hoped was a reassuring smile and patted his shoulder lightly. Turning to the others, she took a breath and let the comfortable warmth leave her eyes. "S'val and T'rian will be put back in their positions as Weyrleader and Junior Weyrleader, this is so that the Weyr does not fear any further...troubles." She let that information sink in before continuing.
"I would never take you away from the candidates Samara, they enjoy your lessons too much. As for you J'degar, G'lwein, I believe we could use another few wingseconds and a weyrling master for Loraketh's clutch. I trust between the two of you, you can see to who will do what." She paused again, letting that information sink in. The Weyrwoman was not about to make them leave, they had proven their worth by helping and staying. Besides, Loraketh was adament about them staying because she figured it would put Solarith and the other Trelis males in their place. Serves them right...now get off my sands!
Laughing, Inali nodded her head. "She's right, let's all retire for tonight. The egg is safe, things are well. We will discuss further changes in the morning won't we Weyrleader?" She leaned against T'rian's side, too happy to just let him agree and take it from there. People trusted the bronzerider, even if he was young. She certainly trusted him, though she was biased naturally too.

T’rian turned his head and smiled down at Inali as she rested against his shoulder. He raised an eyebrow at her words, and wondered what she had been planning. He looked around at all the people gathered, and listened intently as Inali told everyone that he would become the Weyrleader once again, and that S’val would be his Junior Weyrleader. He nodded his head seriously, and was glad that he had had the chance to gain the trust of most of the Trelis people. As far as the remaining Southerners were concerned, he would be keeping a careful eye on them. Stallorth, tell Solarith to let S’val know we have to keep an eye on them. But don’t make it obvious that we’re doing it. He nodded at his dragon as he sent the mental command.
Stallorth growled softly in his throat, but did as his rider told him. Solarith, Mine would like you to tell yours that they should keep an eye on the Southerners. He fears they will do something like this again. To tell the whole truth, he didn’t exactly trust them either. But since Loraketh and her rider had decided to keep them around, there was nothing he could do. He turned and looked at Loraketh, and crooned sadly, before leaving the sands. He beat his wings against the air, and took up a position on one of the ledges above the sands. He might not have sired this clutch, but now that the clutch’s father was gone, he would be there to help his queen protect it from any more harm.
T’rian smiled mischievously at his weyrmate as she spoke. Oh yes, yes we will. But there is something you and I shall discuss once we get back to our weyr. He wrapped his arms around her as she leaned against him, and glad things seemed to be calming down, even if they were taking their time doing so. He might be young, but so far he figured he had done a good job running the Weyr. This time though, he vowed to make sure nothing else happened to anyone under his protection. That’s when he noticed the stunned look on the kid he remembered as Ar’rex’s son. He felt bad for the kid really, but wasn’t exactly sure there was anything he could do for him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rayas watched silently as his world came crashing down around him. Everything seemed to be going in fast-forward too. This really didn’t help his situation. What do I do now? From what he had heard, his father had been the one to steal the egg. That just didn’t make sense to him. His father had never done anything like this before. That meant that someone else was pulling the strings. He stared down at the ground, and wondered who was strong enough to force his father to do such a thing. The only person he could think of was the Weyrwoman from Southern. But he couldn’t figure out why she would have wanted her father to steal one of the eggs that held a sub-queen.
Rayas shook his head, but was dragged out of his thoughts by the Weyrwoman’s words. She was letting the other Southern riders stay, so did that mean she would let him stay? He didn’t see why she would, especially with the way his father had acted. That’s when his usual happy and friendly demeanor left him. His usually happy and glowing face was now empty. He sighed, and his shoulders dropped. He really did look defeated and just run down. He turned, and started to slowly walk away. He had a feeling he wouldn’t be welcome here anymore. He shook his head, still unable to figure out why his father had done this. Oh well, too late for any of that. He sighed once again, a very unhappy, and sad sound. He had packing to do, and what was the point of putting it off any longer?
Amiith was not far behind Loraketh and he was angry. Were they all daft. He hissed and lashed his tail and looked at the Bronze with the egg. Are you all daft! This egg can't be left on the sands!
But once Loraketh had it and told them to follow her Amiith, with a look to Gormyth and Syphraelth did as he was bidden.
When the arrived, Samara slid from her dragon and was immediately taken into the arms of her mate. She wrapped her own arms around him as they backed against their dragons. Gl'wein wanted to portect her and she knew that fact quite well. He would gladly give his life if it meant protecting her.... This was something she knew... and it touched her. But... she would galdly give her own life to protect him as well.
She was almost surprised to see the young ones coming to stand beside the and show their support. Especially as the young Queenling and her rider, came and stood beside J'degar, giving him a gentle smile. "Don't worry. You won't be going anywhere," she said. And.... As Inali spoke.... it seemed those words were correct... They had new positions... new homes... Sort off... and... Wow. That was not what Samara had expected. Not really, anyhow. "Thank you so very much, Weyrwoman, we appreciate it greatly.
She grinned. Time to go, then. If the queen wanted them off her sands, she wanted them off her sands. But... First... Samara turned to Gl'wein, stretchign to wrap her arms around his neck and pull his face down to hers to give him a somewhat excited kiss. "Let's go back to the weyr now and get some rest..." she said to him privately before turning to leave. She smiled at J'degar warmly, something she normally would never do. She was just glad to have everyone here. Safe and here. Except for Ar'rex and the young bronzer who had come with them.
Iirla turned to leave and caught sight of Rayas. "Izanycorth... why don't you go up to the weyr to wait for me... I need to talk to someone." The gold understood immediately and took off for their weyr while Iirla jogged up to Rayas and stopped in front of him. She was a mess, she knew it. She was tired, but that didn't mean she didn't have time to talk to a friend. Especially a friend who needed it. "And where do you think you're going Rayas?" She smiled gently at him. "You aren't going to be going anywhere. You're staying here with us! I'm your friend and you can count on me and besides that! Inali just let the Southern Riders stay, so why not a a Candidate? Hmmm?" she smiled gently and gave him a big hug. "Hey... I'm sorry about all this stuff. But we'll look out for each other now, alright? I look out for you, you look out for me. Like brother and sister." She just stood there giving him a big hug for a long minute before pulling back, her hands on his shoulders as she studied his face.
Rayas jumped slightly when someone appeared in front of him. He sighed and shook his head when he realized who it was. I’m going to pack Iirla. I know she let them stay, but do you really think any of them would trust me after what my father as done? His usually light and happy voice, was now cold and emotionless. He looked away from her face, and felt horrible for the way he had spoken to her. He shouldn’t have done that, after all it wasn’t her fault. He looked at her in shock when he felt her arms go around him in a hug. I’ve never had a sister before. Thank you Iirla. A small smile appeared on his face, and his features started to lighten once again. Maybe he wasn’t completely hated here after all.
Rayas hugged her back, grateful that he had at least one friend in the world. Though, he still doubted Inali and the other Trelis riders would want him to stick around. That and he didn’t have any true family here, though, with the way things have been going Iirla really did feel like an older sister to him. Even though he was much taller than her, it felt nice to call her his big sister. You know…it’s nice to have a big sister that is smaller than me though. He stuck his tongue out at her teasingly, and chuckled softly. This truly was turning out to be an interesting evening. He silently hoped, and prayed that what she had said would be true, and that he would be able to stay.
He could see the warmth leave her eyes as Inali looked at them. This was it; now was the time she would banish him from Trelis. J'degar just hoped she would have a heart and make sure his son was looked after. The boy didn't deserve his father's punishment. He listened as she spoke, not at all surprised that she had reinstated her lover as Weyrleader.
He couldn't blame her though, he realized. If he had learned anything during his stay at Trelis, it was that despite their lack of traditional behaviour, their rediculous numbers of female riders, and the strange dragons... underneath all that, the two young Weyrleaders had built a Weyr of loving, loyal followers the likes of which he had never seen. That in itself was something he could never deny Trelis. It was a strong Weyr, with strong individuals and they would stay that way for a long time to come.
Samara being allowed to stay was no surprise; She was well liked. Then it was time for Gl'wein and himself to learn of their punishments. He winced as she gave the sentence. Wait... wingsecond? Weyrlingmaster? She was allowing them to stay?! He looked up at her, the surprise clearly written on his face. "Thank you... Weyrwoman Inali." He stumbled over the words a bit, the confusion still heavy in his mind. Syphraelth, keeping his distance, stepped as close as he safely could to dip his head to Loraketh. It will be an honour to serve you, My Queen. He spoke softly before retreating away as she commanded.
With a respectful salute, the most honest he had ever given the goldrider, J'degar turned away with the intention of leaving the sands as ordered, giving Samara an awkward nod; the closest to a smile he could offer her after so long... but it was an improvement to be sure.
