N'ck nodded when Ara explained what they would be doing next. Then he felt Kicheth nudge him once again. Hey Ara, Kicheth is hungry again, and says he doesn't want to run until he's eaten. N'ck looked appologetically at the weyrling master, and the weyrling master assistant. He really did want to participate, but he had to take care of his dragonet first.

K'lin smiled and watched the weyrlings do as their told, all except for one that is. Apparently the little white was hungry, and wasn't going run until he ate. Sounds like Bearith when he was younger. He chuckled when he heard his dragon rumble, though, he felt it more than heard it. K'lin shook his head, and watched the new colors, though, it seemed that the topaz seemed the more competative of the females.
((Sorry it's so short, I wasn't sure what else to do.))

Ara nodded at the young whiterider when he commented. Looking up at Avirith, the green crooned at the chance to show off. Beating her wings against the ground, the dragoness launched herself into the sky and swiveled. She hovered there, no doubt wanting to see the young dragonets' reactions to her movements as she twirled in the sky as easily as a harper on the dance floor. "Quit showing off Avi hun." The green snorted, flapping her wings hard to send a breeze down. It was comforting in the stuffy heat though. Done with that, the dragoness flew off to the weyr. "So, if the rest of you race and get finished up I think we'll have a surpise by the end to wrap up our meeting."
The greenrider watched the last few dragonets and nodded her head. "First race won by Kayath. Second by Ferrth, Third by Chiparath, and last by Kitcheth. Congratulations, you four don't have to do chores tomorrow." At that moment a bugle rang out alerting the dragonets and riders to two forms in the sky. One was the familiar moss green hide of Avirith, the other was the shining gold one of Loraketh. The Queen settled down with her clutchmate, setting two herdbeasts to the green's one on the forest floor. There you are my children. Food, for you all have deserved it. The Queen crooned down at her first clutch and moved to nuzzled Talath and Kayath. She leveled her eyes with Emiath, and crooned again approvingly to the rest.

You did it!J’dol yelled mentally as Kayath crossed the finish line. Did I win?!Kayath opened her eyes and looked around at the other competitors in her race. I.. think so? It was really close. The topaz huffed, but decided against complaining. Instead, she watched the remaining races, though first she watched rather enviously as Avirith did an aerial display. She couldn’t wait till the day she could be a true queen, and wow everyone with her skill in the air. Placing a hand on the orange shoulder of his dragon, he led her over closer to Ara to watch the remaining races. Finally the time came to announce the winner, and Kayath let loose a happy trill at being announced the winner of her race and J’dol was equally as happy at not having to do chores the following day. Time to relax!
Rider and dragon both looked to the sky as a loud bugle rang out and Kayath fluttered her wings excitedly when she saw the great golden form of her mother descending with a meal. She was getting quite hungry as well, though unlike Kitcheth she didn’t want to seem like a baby for not being able to handle it. She eyed the beasts hungrily, but ignored it at first in favor of nuzzling back. She flapped her wings, hoping her mother would comment on how beautiful she was, and how strong she was already getting. Approval from the Weyrqueen was the ultimate approval after all. Then, unable to ignore the aroma of food, she trotted over to grab a bite of meat from the less touched herd beast, trying to get a good chunk of meat from it.
Nearby Peniath lightly batted U’wa with her small wing, as punishment for them not doing as well as the others in their race group. S..Sorry… the young boy apologized sheepishly. Though as long as he didn’t get into real trouble for not winning it didn’t matter, not to mention he didn’t mind having to do chores. Like most of the other weyrlings, the green pair looked to the sky in time to see Avirith and Loraketh descending. U’wa shook a little, as always being completely overwhelmed by the sheer size of the queen.
When she landed he quickly dropped into a kneel, afraid he wasn’t showing enough respect. Isn’t she beautiful Miiine?! I hope I will be that beautiful one day! Do you think I will Mine? Oooooooooh how I wish I were that pretty…. I’m not pretty enough am I U’waMiiiiine?! The young boy jumped up from his kneel to pat the small green comfortingly on her head, whispering words of encouragement to the little green. Though whether she heeded it or not, he wouldn’t know, for the young green had jumped up the moment the food hit the ground, eager to dig in and fill her belly. Don’t hog it all Kitcheth! She joked teasingly to the tiny white.
