The mother huntyre didn't seem particularly concerned as Iskra picked up her chick, and Iskra was glad. Immediately after finding herself in her chosen's arms, though, the Forest chick demanded food from Iskra. "Yes, yes, you need food, don't you?" She told the huntyre. "Darija sounds like a good name, I think." The chick chirped in response, still hungry. Only then did Iskra turn to Inali.
"Thank you for letting me Impress one of them," she said, trying to keep the grudging tone out of her voice.

Aristide couldn't really watch the hatching, but he listened as various people stepped forward to claim chicks. He wondered how they did it. Did they just choose whichever huntyre they liked, or was there a method to who got what? He'd never actually been present at a huntyre hatching before, nor a fire lizard one, and wasn't entirely sure how they worked.
Exclamations from the crowd, as well as the chirping of huntyre chicks, let him know that more eggs had just cracked open. It seemed that the hatching was nearly over, and Aristide had just decided to leave when he felt something with claws latch itself onto the front of his tunic. He shouted and reached down to dislodge it, and felt the downy feathers of a huntyre chick feebly flapping its wings while it clung to his clothes. It was a male, and impatient, and hungry, and wondering why Aristide wasn't feeding him already.
"Oh, no, no, no," Aristide muttered, prying the huntyre off his tunic. "You're not supposed to pick me!" Aleksi growled softly as the huntre had leaped at her owner, but knowing the chick meant no harm, Aristide reassured her with a word. He scowled, though, wondering what to do with the chick.

Loba smiled and held the little Lunar close to her, and started thinking of names as she walked back to the crowd of people. I think I'll call you Lobo. The name fit in well with her own name, and the name of her wher. She smiled and walked out of the room, and started heading back to her own so that she could show Lobask the new addition to their little family. She couldn't believe that she had impressed one of the little birds. Lobo looked up at Loba as she walked, and wished she would just let him curl up in her arms and sleep.

Kevin watched as yet even more eggs hatched, and yet again he stood in the crowd without anything but the bond he shared with his wher. Speaking of the bronze wher he was starting to get impatient with his, and was starting to wonder when His was going to come back, so that the two of them could get some sleep before their midnight shift on the sands. I know buddy, I'll be back soon. Kevin smiled and looked around the room at all the people that had shown up. He was really starting wonder if he should just give up and go to bed.

A'thur sighed and watched as more of the little birds hatched. He really did wish his over-grown brown dragon would just let him leave and go back to work. He crossed his large arms in front of his chest, and watched the hatching of the huntyre eggs. It wasn't long before he saw one of the little female forests puffing herself up, and realized that she was trying to pull on his mind. Pick her up Mine. Merlinth's strong voice had the man walking forward through the croud. He walked over to the little make-shift nest, and picked up the docile forest.
A'thur wasn't exactly sure what to call the little thing. I guess your Forest. He knew the name wasn't exactly the most original name for a huntyre, but it was all he could come up with. He sighed and held the chick as he had seen the other's do. He watched the docil chick, and was actually starting to feel as though he liked the chick. He wasn't exactly sure what he was suposed to do with her but it seemed like she was happy to just curl up in his arms, and watch everyone go past.

Aela's huntyre chriped up at her. Of course he would eat food silly! He needed a little mashed up, but not too much. His beak was sharp even as a youngster, and his stomach was strong. In fact, why not just jump up and grab the food right now? It seemed soft enough. Doing so, the white chick ran/wobbled toward the offered piece. He missed the target a bit and flopped down as he tired out, but he was still able to reach his neck over and grab the food with his beak. Swallowing bit by bit, the offering was soon gone. ------------- Pepper looked over at her Rainbow son. He and one unhatched egg were all that was left. Crooning for him to find his, the huntyre flapped her wings. Well, his siblings had found Theirs finally and it was in deed his turn. Chirping in response to his mother the Basil Leaf Rainbow began to walk toward the crowd, only to stop by the Sage Green egg. Tapping it ever so lightly with his beak, the chick waited for a response just to be sure. None came though, and Pepper cried out in annoyance and sadness. One of her children was not going to hatch. That didn't mean that the one left wouldn't impress though! Flapping up onto the table before her mate or Hers could stop her, the Forest clucked angrily at her son. Taken aback, the chick crooned in response and was bluntly nudged toward the edge of the table. He needed to impress right now! That was the message clear in Pepper's voice. Her eyes spun quick mixtures of green and blue. They weren't happy colors like other bondeds. No, huntyres being all backward only had these colors when they were upset, angry or hungry. Knowing Pepper, it could be all one...or all three. No one really ever could tell, not even Inali. Deciding not to make his mother any more upset with him, the Basil Leaf Rainbow wobbled over to Kevin. He was the only one left after all. All others already had Theirs. This included Mother's and Father's. So, it was the natural choice. Besides, he had always known it would be this one. It's why he was okay with waiting on his siblings. Basil Leaf Rainbow Impressed to: Kevin Color: 4A7023, 458B00, 7CFC00, 4F2F4F, and C0D9D9Personality: Born leader, self-depreciating, strategic, personable protective, serves others first, chivalrous
