There's a lot of interesting names here, and I got to wondering, just where do your character names (Dragons, Humans, pets, everything!) come from?

Most of mine have either come from the top of my head, from character's I have played on diff sites (not many of them are dragon sites), or Google....>.>

Mine come from either... 1) Made up names I liked- K'tor=Kator, Takorah, and Tris for instance. Zoranille and Panille have the same reasoning...though I call Panille, Pan. 2) Birds, Loraketh=Lorikeet 3) Other names. Inali=Gray fox, Sakalas=Falcon, Alyara=something in Na'vi, Loraketh's first clutch were all name-based. 4) Most pets of mind have latin based names. A few being: Emia=Blood, Pia=Gentle, Falx=Sickle. Or, they're earthy/mythological. Moss, Aries, Thor, Shadow, Rayne, Shayde.

Made up names, or infamous childhood memories.
Xeries is the name of my orange ghost ball python.
Raksha is the name of the mother wolf in Jungle Book.
Tieler I made up, because when I was younger my favorite name was Tyler. Still sorta' is, just Tieler now... xDDD
Then Zane was a unisex name I liked and took on for myself...
As for Athena (my cat,) well, I was doing dog training at a professional facility and one of the dogs we bred was named Athena. Whom so happened to be my favorite. Doubled with my love for greek mythology it was a no-brainer when I got my lynx point ragdoll kitten.
