T'rian sighed contentedly as he walked through the Weyrbowl, his large bronze walking beside him. T'rianMine, we should check on the new king. Stallorth had taken quite the interest in the younger bronze ever since the hatching. Alright, if we see them out and about, then we'll check on them alright? You don't get to get too nosy you know. T'rian patted his bronze on his leg as he spoke. He knew that none of the old bronzes or their riders had taken any interest in them when they were weyrlings, so he sort of understood what his dragon was feeling. ((Sorry It's so short Jill, I promise to do better in my next one.))

(its fine, im gonna try to get a halfway decent post in before my mom/interwebznazi gets home.)
D'rian gasped for air as his head broke the surface of the weyrbowl's pool. That... dirty.... sack of scales..... Sputtering and looking around , the bronze laid with his tail curled around him in the shallows looking as innocent as anything, and the little bronze flit sunned himself by the edge of the water, chittering amusedly.
"Kelath! That.... you're going to pay for that one my boy..."
Kelath snorted. His needed to loosen up sometimes. He had wanted to swim but His refused to join him. Kelath had merely... helped him along...
D'rian mine, don't be silly, I've been sitting here the whole time. the glint in his blue green eyes bespoke mischief and Dal made his way over to those two. The flit and his large counterpart got along remarkably well, and D'rian narrowed his eyes at the little flit who was twitching with his laughter.
"You think it's amusing do you Shigure? Well here, join the fun! " With a smile he cupped his hands, tossing a large splash up and over the little flit, who immediately sat up sputtering, all traces of amusement gone. Before they knew it, all three of them were laughing together.

T'rian rose an eye brow when he heard splashing. T'rianMine, Kelath and His are in the water. Stallorth's words made the Weyrleader sigh. Well, I guess you get what you want don't you? He playfully pushed on his dragon's leg as he spoke. That made the large bronze rumble with laughter. Tor shook his head and smiled as he walked beside his dragon to the Weyr lake. It seemed as though he was following the large male more and more since his twins were born.
Not what I expected. T'rian smiled and raised an eyebrow at the young bronze rider. Stallorth rumbled at the site, and sat down next to his rider, and wrapped his large tail around them both. Tor and Stallorth had also played around in the lake when they were younger. So it really didn't surprise the Weyrleader at the pair's antics, but it still wasn't exactly what he had expected to see when they had approached the lake. Stallorth nudged His with his tail at the memories of their younger days.

Shigure saw them first, the little flit chattered incessantly trying to get His and His'king to listen to him, falling silent when the pair came up. Kelath was next to notice. The huge form of Stallorth made him get up abruptly, perfection in his posture and all a matter of seriousness with underlying embarrassment. Not quite how he'd wanted to meet That one and His. He bumped His with the edge of his wing with an insistent mental nudge as Shigure climed onto His' shoulder and curled his tail around his neck.
D'rian's laughter died at the insistence of Kelath's warning, and he stood up, turning to meet the quizzical stare of his weyrleader and the large bronze. The embarrassment was temporary as D'rian wiped water from his face and his hair out of his eyes, touching a finger to his forhead and inclining it in respect. His clothes were soaked, his dragon was edgy and his flit was about to have a heart attack. All in their first meeting with the weyrleader and his King. Perfect.

T'rian smiled at the little bronze firelizard when he started to chatter. Stallorth just looked down at the little flit, and shook his head. He wasn't very fond of firelizards, or even huntyres for that matter. He did put up with Salty Blues though, and that is only because His had taught him early on that the little bird could be useful. He rumbled at the embarrassed way the young bronze stood up, and tried to get His to pay attention. It amused the older King.
T'rian nodded his head to the boy, and smiled warmly. It's alright, no need for that now. I might be Weyrleader for now, but don't forget, I was in your place once. A sort of distant, yet happy expression flashed on the man's face as he spoke to the young weyrling. You should relax young King. Stallorth's strong voice was meant for both, the young bronze, and his rider. There was no need for them to be so embarassed about enjoying some time alone together.

D'rian nodded slowly, allowing himself to relax bit by bit as Shigure hopped over to settle on BrotherBronze's back, putting more distance between himself and the Big bronze king. D'rian didnt miss the flit's repositioning and couldn't help the grin that lit up his face. That little guy didn't back away from much, but there weren't many who wouldnt back away from a fully grown bronze.
"You were in my place once, My lord. But now you ARE the Weyrleader, and as such, you're due that respect at least." He shrugged. "I'm D'rian, and this..." He patted Kelath's shoulder as that one leaned into him. "this is Kelath. It truly is an honor to meet you sir. I'm just sorry I couldn't get the chance while i was dry.
Kelath ruffled his wings against His at that statement. Oh please D'rian mine. You say that as if I knew they were headed out here before I pushed you in...
D'rian rolled his eyes and sent annoyance along his private link with Kelath, who just shrugged it off.
It is an honor to meet you and Yours.

T'rian watched as the bronze firelizard moved further away from his own bronze dragon, and smiled. He knew Stallorth wasn't the largest bronze out there, but he was on the bigger side, and that could be intimidating at times. Stallorth seen the movement as well, and rumbled loudly at the little flit. Even though he didn't really like them, he did find them amusing. He rustled his coppery colored wings, and moved so that he could lay down without getting too close to the young weyrlings.
T'rian nodded his head at the boy's words, and laughed slightly. Yes, I am the Weyrleader, and Stallorth is the Weyrking. The only reason for that is that he caught Loraketh, and some day you and your own bronze will have a chance to catch a queen. Both himself, and Stallorth knew that next time the golden queen flies, he might not be so lucky, and might not catch her. It was all up to the queen. T'rian smiled and nodded his head when the weyrling introduced himself, and his dragon.
That's when Salty Blue's decided to show up, and scold His for not waking him up when he got up. The male huntyre liked to keep track of what His, and His' Large one did. Though, that almost always failed. So instead of realizing what was going on, the rainbow huntyre sat on T'rian's shoulder, and chittered angrily at the man. He was all puffed up, and kinda looked like someone had stuffed a balloon inside of him. He rustled his wings, and finally settled down when he felt that His was firmly chastised.
This evil poof-ball is Salty Blue's. It helps if you just ignore him. That elicited an unhappy squawk out of the bird, but it just made T'rian smile. As much trouble as the bird caused him, he still loved his rainbow huntyre. Stallorth rumbled at the appearance at the bird. He had been wondering when he would show up. It is a pleasure to meet you and yours as well little one. Stallorth's strong voice seemed pleased, and proud as he spoke the young bronze.

Shigure saw the smiles and the amusement at his intimidation and ruffled his wings, chittering annoyedly as he plopped into the water. He swam as far out as he could keeping himself well away from them and tucked his body into the water leaving only his eyes and nose above. Watching them with narrowed eyes like a gator. Let them laugh. He didnt have to deal with it.
D'rian sighed at the flit's behavior. "I'm sorry about him. Shigure tends to be a prideful little chit, but he's really not a bad sort."
Kelath gave a mental affirmation at what could possibly happen the next time loraketh flew, and crooned in anticipation and approval at the thought of catching a queen himself. He was proud of the fact that he was a bronze. He and His would take their time as weyrleader and weyrking. He was determined to do it. That was the reason he had chosen His. So many things could happen. New younglings to the weyrs didnt often understand the bond or lack thereof between themselves and other dragons/riders. His didnt get attatched. His was less likely to get emotional. That was what he needed, wanted. A little flying thing interrupted his train of thought and He and His looked askance at it.
Little noisy poofball is angry, mine... This elicited a smile from D'rian. "He most certainly is Kelath."

T'rian watched as the bronze firelizard swam away, and raised an eyebrow. It's alright, no need to appologize. T'rian knew how it felt to be bonded to something that was prideful. He had two of them after all. Stallorth flicked his tail at His' thoughts, while Salty Blue's puffed himself up with indignation. Who was His calling prideful? The rainbow huntyre started chattering at both His, and the younger human and dragon. How dare they call him prideful!
Why don't you go find Pepper? T'rian used the huntyres mate as a way to shut up the chattering bird, and it always worked. Salty stopped chatter, and hopped off His' shoulder, and flew off to find his mate. Tor shook his head and sighed. Stallorth rumbled with laughter at the trouble His was having with the little bird. The large bronze male rustled his wings, and shifted onto his side that way he was more comfortable as he laid next to His and the young weyrlings.
T'rian smiled at his dragon, and climbed up onto Stallorth's large leg. Wanna have a seat? He smiled, and patted Stallorth's leg as he spoke. He was trying to be polite by asking the younger man if he would like to have a seat on his dragon's leg. After all, you'll be doing this with your own dragon soon enough. His voice was light and playful as he spoke of the future. He gazed down at the young weyrling pair with his dark brown gaze, quietly assessing the two of them.

D'rian couldn't help the bubble of laughter that floated across his link to Kelath. At least it wasn't projected over all them. That little huntyre was one angry bird. Kelath's rumble of laughter wasn't as gentle as his own, but at least he kept it contained to Him and the other bronze pair. After the little huntyre left it was decidedly more quiet and D'rian and Kelath stepped out of the pool, both dripping.
D'rian smiled and shook his head. "No thanks. That's your spot, and I feel it would be a bit disrespectful, though the offer is very much appreciated... I wouldnt want StallorthKing to get wet. He settled down onto a dry spot and leaned back as Kelath sidled up against him settling where he could lean on him.
It's more comfortable this way right mine?
Very true Kelath. I'm always more comfortable with you.

T'rian smiled down at the young weyrling when he heard the rumbled laughter coming from the young bronze. Stallorth turned his head so that he could look at the smaller bronze pair, and get his eye ridges scratched by his rider. Which Tor did with loving care. He raised his eyebrows at the dripping pair and chuckled at the site. Stallorth didn't think it was that funny, and nudged his rider, causing the man to fall, ungracefully, from the bronzes leg.
Well, I'm gonna guess and say it's no one's seat now. T'rian didn't even try to hide the laughter that was in his words. Stallorth rumbled, he was amused at the young pair. He turned a quickly swirling gaze to his rider before standing up. He turned, and quickly pushed his tail through the water at the edge of the lake, causing a nice big splash, getting everything, and everyone, around him to get wet again. T'rian yelped and tried to hide his face from the water.
T'rian growled at his dragon as he tried to wipe himself off, very unsuccessfully I might add. You overgrown wherry! What go and do that for!? He glared up at his dragon as he spoke. Stallorth rumbled and sat down on the now soggy ground. I though you needed to cool off T'rianMine. It was hard Not to hear the amusement in the dragon's voice. Tor sighed exasperatedly and shook his head. He truly did think his dragon was more like weyrling than a Weyrking some times.

After a look of shock from was traded between D'rian and Kelath, they mirrored eachother perfectly. both shaking to rid themselves of the river that seemed to be clinging to them. D'rian couldnt help the smile that stayed across his features though. They may be a young bronze pair, but he saw similarities between himself and T'rian. Likewise between His Kelath and Stallorth. It made him think that they were going to be just fine.
Of course we will be D'rian mine. We are both young. It will take time for us to become the bronze pair people expect. just as it has for Stallorthking and his. Just calm yourself and be patient. the bronze tucked his head over D'rian's shoulder and rubbed lightly against the side of his face.
That little reassurance helped ease a bit of the burden D'rian had been feeling lately. With a king for a partner there was so much he felt he should be better at. And quickly. He didn't know exactly what was expected of him. Also, there was something that had been bothering the adult riders. S'vrin's wing was in the wind and to his knowledge, they seemed to be doing their damnedest to keep whatever was happening out of the weyrlings heads.
His smile slowly died as he looked up at T'rian. As a bronze rider, he'd eventually have to learn how to deal with tense situations and the like.
"T'rian....Something's happening isn't it? All these new colors? What happened on Ista? "
