T'rian rolled his eyes as he watched his dragon try to roll around in the shallow end of the water. Didn't you already get a bath today? The large bronze just rumbled happily, ignoring his rider as he did so. He liked the water, especially since it was pretty hot out, and not to mention sunny. It had been raining for the past few days, and it felt good to be able to go swimming, and then lay out in the sun and relax. Tor shook his head as he watched Stallorth lumber out of the water, and plop his heavy body onto the ground with a loud thud. T'rian smiled and walked over to his wet dragon, and patted the male on affectionately on the nose. T'rianMine, why do you go for a swim also? It is cool and refreshing. Stallorth turned his swirling gaze on the man as he spoke. No thanks big guy. I'll keep myself dry. Tor shook his head, and chuckled a little when he answered his dragon. Salty Blue's chose that moment to make an appearance, and he started cawing unhappily at His for leaving him behind. The Rainbow Huntyre ruffled his feathers and walked over to Stallorth. T'rian knelt down and picked up the unhappy bird, and started feeding him the some of the treats that he had in his pocket. Salty was soon quieted, and happy as he sat on His' shoulder, and ate the treats that he was given. There now, feel better boy? Tor looked over at his huntyre as he spoke, and was rewarded with a happy chirp. He laughed out-right this time, and he felt Stallorth rumble with laughter as well. Apparently both of his bondeds were happy, and that added to his own happiness.

Oh, how badly Ulteritohr wanted to just relax and go swimming! The air was thick and heavy, pressing in on him as he carried the two tubs to the edge of the water. One was inside the other, and the top one was filled with clothing, piled up on itself and clearly dirty.
Sigh. Chores. Trust him to get saddled with laundry duty. But there was no sense in getting upset about it-- that would just make it take longer. So, he set his face and put the tubs down, taking one out of the other and filling the empty one with water. Lugging that out of the water was a chore in itself-- water was surprisingly dense.
Only when he was done with that did he stand up, resting a hand on his hip and glancing around. He was downstream of a rider and a dragon pair, closer to the rider then the dragon. That startled him-- of course he'd seen the bronze out of the corner of his eye, but he'd been too lost in his thoughts to properly register his presence: strange, even for him. He shook his head slightly, and then offered the rider and his dragon a sheepish smile.
"Hello, bronzerider. I hope I'm not disturbing your swim- I can move down further if you would like some quiet."

T'rian looked over when he heard someone else talking to him. Oh hello, no you're fine. Um...sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, but what is your name? He hadn't meant to be rude, but with Maelath's clutch hardening on the sands, so many new candidates were being brought in, and he was having a hard time keeping up with all of their names. Salty Blue's chirped curiously at the new human, there seemed to be a lot of them. Stallorth on the other hand, wasn't surprised to see the young man.
Stallorth lifted his large head, and yawned loudly. Do you have to be facing this way when you do that?! That's disgusting!!! The man plugged his nose, and waved one hand in front of it, trying to get rid of the awful stench of what the large dragon ate that morning. The bronze rumbled again with laughter. This was definitely turning into a very interesting afternoon. He wasn't sure what could make this day any better. He turned his swirling gaze onto the boy, wonder what he would do. The bronze had always been interested in young ones, and since Maelath's clutch was still hardening, there were plenty of new people for him to watch.

Even a dragon doing something so simple as yawning was almost a majestic site to him-- especially a bronze, who was easily the largest dragon he ever saw up close. The rider's reaction thusly provoked a giggle, and he began to laugh at the man's words, and the rider and his dragon's easy exchange. He managed to cool the laughter after a moment, but a wide smile remained on his face. "I'm sorry for laughing, Rider, but that amused me." He looked up at Stallorth, and nodded a greeting to the bronze, before looking back at the rider and answering his question.
"I'm Ulteritohr." he answered, "A new candidate; I was brought in four days ago." He shook his head, looking up at the dragon in admiration. "I'd seen dragons from the ground before, but never so close. I didn't realize how big they actually were." He smiled, "Your bronze is the biggest I've seen yet."
With that, he lowered himself to one knee and began to take out the soap and the other cleaning supplies- the laundry wouldn't do itself.

T'rian looked over as the candidate started to giggle, and laugh. He smiled lightly at the boy, glad he had made him happy. Don't apologize, it's fine. He shook his head, and patted his bronze on the snout as he spoke. he really did love the male, but there were somethings that he needed to work on fixing. Like where he pointed that mouth of his when he has to yawn. Stallorth crooned at His' thoughts, and gently nudged his rider. He knew that T'rian loved him, and wouldn't give him up for anything in the world.
It's nice to meet you Ulteritohr, and by no means is Stallorth The largest bronze out there. Though, he is pretty big. Stallorth grumbled unhappily at His' words. Stallorth didn't like the fact that His said there were other's larger than him. The bronze rustled his wings, and carefully lifted himself off the ground. He turned around so that he was standing beside T'rian, and looking down at the young human boy. He would prove that there was a reason that he was called the King of the Weyr, even if it was only because he had caught Loraketh.
T'rian rolled his eyes and shook his head at his dragon's actions. Alright show off, calm down. He stared up at the male as he spoke, and shook his head. I am not showing off T'rianMine. I am only stretching my legs. Though, I would also enjoy stretching my wings. His strong voice was loud enough that anyone around could hear him, even the young boy who was now cleaning clothes. T'rian was sure if hearing Stallorth's voice would startle the boy. After all, it isn't every day that the Weyrleader's dragon talks to the candidates.
You don't need to go for another flight you over-grown wher! T'rian really didn't feel like going for another flight just yet. Don't get him wrong, he loved to fly around with Stallorth, but there were times when flying alone became boring. Stallorth rustled his wings, and turned his swirling gaze on the boy. What about him T'rianMine? The bronze moved so that his large head was closer to Ulteritohr, so that he could get a better look of the young candidate.
What do you mean, what about him? T'rian nodded towards the boy as he spoke. He swatted his dragon's side when the male moved closer to the candidate. He had an idea of what the large male meant, but he had learned never to "assume" what he meant. He wouldn't know until the male decided to fill them in on his plan. Though, T'rian didn't really feel like waiting. He kept glancing back and forth between Ulteritohr and his dragon, trying to piece the two together.

It was interesting, to see the dragonman interact with his dragon: there was a kind of easy communication between the two, like old friends, which he supposed they were. That's what everyone told him it was like, anyway, and this seemed to be plenty of proof. T'rain teased Stallorth, and he could only assume the bronze teased back, but it was light banter, and there was obvious affection between the two in touches. Ulteritohr may have had doubts about leaving his familial home, but certainly he had none as to why, and this was only making him stronger in his convictions. He kept his smile on his face as he scrubbed at the clothing, paying more attention to the two giving him company then his chores.
Ulteritohr whistled at T'rain's words, looking up at Stellorth. "Hard to believe he's not the biggest." He laughed, "Though I guess the golds are bigger- that's hard to imagine." They looked big from the distances he'd seen them, of course, but staring up at this bronze, it was hard to believe that things got any huger.
As soon as the bronze took to the air, Ulteritohr rinsed the shirt he'd been scrubbing at and let it be; no sense in continuing the chore with a dragon in the air, his wings stirring the dirt-- he'd only give himself more work and get the laundry dirtier. Not that he was complaining at all, mind; the current distraction was far better then laundry was any day. "What about me?" he echoed, not quite realizing that such a comment might be rude, his tone curious.

Stallorth rustled his wings as he turned to face His. Can he not fly T'rianMine? Stallorth sat down, and wrapped his tail around him. What had they thought he was going to say? T'rian almost fiented at his dragon's words. WHAT DO YOU MEAN CAN HE FLY!!!!! T'rian regreted opening his mouth as soon as he heard the words that came from his lips. Stallorth had kept his own words between the two of them, but T'rian had just messed it up.
((Sorry it's so short, I'm kinda museless for T'rian))
